I hope everyone is doing okay. I woke up this morning wrestles, couldn’t sleep last night thinking of my presentation today to a top investigator. It turns out it should’ve been the least of my worries. I killed it. Did well and at my best, but first this happened… I hadn’t even finished my first cup of coffee and my supervisor is telling both the HR guy and myself we have to start picking up…

Masterpost Halloween Drabble #6 | Part 1 ->

Au: Supernatural!Au Genre: Angst / Violence / Smut Pairing: Yoongi x Reader, Past Taehyung x Reader Wordcount: 1150 Warnings: Mentions of drugs, addiction, depression, mental illness.  A/N: This seems a bit cracky? But just roll with it the reader is done af. I hope you guys like it. A nod to my fav Yoongi stans @xiubaek13 and @yixings10 (especially the last one cuz she my advisor and helped me create this story!)

It was the dreaded night of halloween, and as per usual you didn’t want to be home. Not that you were home a lot lately anyway. Your daily life existed of 4 basic activities. Working on school was one, because you were too tired to actually go between taking care of your brother and going to your job 4 days a week. And then you drank, a lot, at the bar. Only whenever Jungkook’s friends were over to take care of him, because leaving your brother alone at night was a set up for a whole lot of disaster.

You passed a bunch of kids dressed up on the streets, before you entered the bar and took place in your usual spot.

Jungkook was, troubled so to speak, you weren’t sure how to call it as you ordered a red wine from the bartender. You briefly noticed he was wearing black lenses, funny.

Your brother’s nights, and sometimes days, were tormented with nightmares that woke him up screaming, anxiousness that seemed to be originating from something he was sure he was seeing but you couldn’t, and something that was probably depression. No therapist or medication could help him, and he refused to see a doctor.

Really, you loved Jungkook, and he was the most important person in your life. But you’re 22, and you just didn’t have the breath to take care of yourself and him constantly. He’s been taking away your sleep along with his own for way too long, so that you’d resorted to sleeping pills and just…drinking. You weren’t an alcoholic, really not, but it took the edge of.

Everything started about 2 years ago, when Jungkook became really close to a friend of his then that worked at the same restaurant, Yoongi. Short, lanky boy, stupid gummy smile and bleach blonde hair. Did you hate Yoongi? Definitely, yes. Did you also have a crush on him before he wrecked Jungkook’s life? Sadly, yes.

He was hot, no doubt about it, dressed too casual to be casual, and held himself with a slight air of arrogance that you found appealing. And since he was around you and your brother’s apartment a lot, seeing him for days on end that included him just out of bed with a groggy voice and no shirt on didn’t do your crush any good. So you spent most nights at Taehyung’s place to get over your stupid crush and just avoid him at all.

Then…he changed. You weren’t sure what had happened, it was a few days after halloween when Jungkook, his friend Jimin, Yoongi your best friend Taehyung, and you, whipped out a ouija board from an online store for shits and giggles. Nothing really happened, everyone went home safe and sound and dreamt of sheep. And before you knew it, 3 nights later you found Yoongi on your fucking doorstep with bloodshot eyes, shaking like madwork, looking like he was on some kind of drug.

Did he smoke? Yes. Did he smoke weed? Most likely. But this? You weren’t sure what it was. At first you thought it had been a joke, that he’d been playing with you. But the longer it held on, the more nights he came over, the more nightmares he had, and the more Jungkook tried to take care of him. He seemed to not sleep, and whatever drug he’d been on didn’t seem to do his body any good either. The boy was skin over bone and you’d tried to convince your brother to kick him out but it was no use. Whatever had Yoongi addicted, Jungkook couldn’t care what a bad influence he was, he was his friend. 

By then you were angry enough with him, for being such a bad influence. And then he left. Out of nowhere, you went to sleep and woke up one day and he was nowhere to be found. Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin looked for him for over a week. But he was gone.

Jungkook…you weren’t sure what he’d done to him, but after Yoongi left he hasn’t been the same. He’d been sick, and all things that came with it. At first you thought he was upset, but it didn’t go down. And now he seemed to be doing somewhat better, nightmares way less frequent, anxiousness less, but still present. You still believed sometimes, he was on some sort of drug, but he always denied it.

You sighed, running a hand through your hair and finishing your 4th glass of wine. You were definitely tipsy, and you were glad. Everything was on edge and you just wanted to disappear right now.

Your phone lit up, and you briefly saw Taehyung’s name before flipping it over and ignoring it. You looked around the musky old place, finding some drunk teens dressed at whatever, and a few old guys watching football on a screen.

Then, your eyes caught onto someone familiar. Bleach blonde hair, pale skin, tattered black hoodie and a whiskey between his fingers. Yoongi.

You stared, blatantly so, at his form on the other side of the room. Then, with the alcohol spurring you on, you found yourself standing up and walking over to him, taking place on the empty stool.

He looked at you with wide eyes, almost as if he expected you to not see him.

“Why are you here?” you asked, not really looking at him, but at his glass.

He sighed. “Do you care?” He threw back the whiskey in one go. 

“I’m too intoxicated to pretend not to care,” you held your hand up for another drink.

Yoongi almost chuckled, but it was dry and choked off. “You’re mad at me.”

“I definitely am. You left my little brother to rot after he’d taken care of your drug addict ass.” You grumbled, not coming over as angry as you’d like.

He was silent for a bit, as you took a sip of your wine and swirled it around your mouth.

“He’s not been okay since you disappeared and even though I hate you, and I’m furious at you, I want you to come back home.”

“I can’t come back home y/n.” He said, voice flat and apathetic.

You scoffed. “You get my little brother addicted to some drug that has taken every little life force out of his body, that he’s still recovering from it after 2 years, and you pretend you can’t come back home?” you were raising your voice, not caring if people heard. “The least you can do is apologise for leaving him. He looked up to you, he cared for you when you were sick, and this is how you repay him?! You pathetic piece of sh-”

Before you could really go off on him, he grabbed your wrist. “Listen.” He hissed, looking around. “It’s not because of a drug, that he’s like that. I did that to him, I broke him. I fed on his soul and took away his happiness.”
