so english boarding school. alex teaches history and henry teaches english lit (ofc). henry has a bf - another teacher in town and alex is driven insane by jealousy every time he sees them although he doesn't understand this...reassures himself it's not homophobia because he's bi. henry was the slightly older teacher when alex first started.. was hoping for mentoring and he looked up to him etc but henry did not talk to him much. so now they compete whenever they can with their class results with random competitions they make up and in sports days etc... however then they are both forced to help on the school play... alex is a really good singer this drives henry insane... anyway they make up and become friends and henry is stillbringing that fuckass boyfriend around and alex finally understands he's actually just jealous...he starts flirting loads....much tension ensues.... henry kisses him in a musty rehearsal room when all the kids are gone however they decide they actually shouldn't date! bad idea they live at the school they are coworkers! now they both know they want each other (henry has broken up with his bf by the time he kisses alex fyi) but cannot have each other and it creates truly ridiculous levels of tension that even the older kids notice. by opening night alex is hanging on by a thread. he declares he cannot live without henry. :-)

hi my love !! umm okay I would say sirius is freshly thrown out, looking for work etc etc. and he comes across a bookshop thats looking to hire. he applies and gets it and ofc, r works there. initially r is like ugh this rich kid is just going through a phase and doesn't know how to do anything but r is outwardly nice about it + helping s out with everything. with time they become friendly and s is ofc being flirty and cute but r thinks hes just like that bc ya right but he finds himself (unfortunately) drawn to s. then one day he finds sirius having a little cry out back and they have a moment and remus gives him an awkward shoulder pat and their skin meets for the first time and they're like oh ok (sirius is like i always knew... remus calls him on it like no u just wanted to fuck u liar <- true!)

hard one!! i think song of solomon / morrison, a raisin in the sun / hansberry, + east of eden / steinbeck all culminate beautifully…. they’re also all generational family stories so :/ they can’t be beat in my mind anyways

picture book / the kinks: all the kinks songs are really summery to me but probably this one the most..reminds me of going on holiday 2 spain when i was little

someone, somwhere / luke temple: like two years ago i sat in the garden all day during july eating cherries and reading the great gatsby and listening to this song and now i think of that really hot day whenever i hear this song. i did not like the great gatbsy very much but i love this song

IF YOU CANT DANCE TOO. fucking love this song this film the dance sequence to this song in the film is brilliant i love everything about it. just the best song.

the maker makes / rufus wainwright: it is not in the film but this song is from the brokeback mountain soundtrack and it will never fail to make me cry when i listen to it. completely fucked up song that everyone should hear

piledriver waltz / alex turner: from the film submarine...say what u like but this soundtrack fucks heavily!! many a banger!! but this is perhaps the best of them i think about him singing i heard the news that you're planning / to shoot me out of a cannon at least once a day
