They say the first is the hardest. Second pregnancy's worse in ways. Yeah? You know the pain at any moment is less than what's coming. You know any potential complications. Might have been through some.

This is excellent. Since Losang is also apparently headed up to the Nest from a "pilgrimage" in Spain, we can speculate that Daryl and Carol's trip to Spain is possibly about more than just "going home." It can't be coincidence that they are headed to the same place from whence Losang came.
Also, to add to your theory about St. Christopher...
When Daniel gives the St. Christopher pendant to Victor Strand, he tells him that it "helps people to bear heavy burdens." Victor later gives the pendant to Alicia Clark, who keeps it for some time. Alicia, via long term exposure to low dose radiation after a botched amputation of her left arm, survives a the Wildfire virus fever. Troy Otto, after his run-in with Alicia in Texas, which he claims resulted in Alicia's death, gives the St. Christopher medallion to his daughter Tracy, who later later gives the medallion to Madison Clark as proof that she knows where Alicia is. When Tracy then shoots Madison in the chest, trying to kill her, the bullet is deflected by the medallion, which literally saves her life. Alicia, of course, later shows up alive.
This puts the medallion in proximity to several people who have "resurrected": Daniel, Alicia, Troy, and Madison. Alicia, specifically, resurrects *after* surviving the Wildfire virus fever, proving that survival is possible.
Tumblr media
This could suggest that the pilgrimage itself is related to a cure for the virus, which fits neatly with my theory about Chartreuse, in which I postulate that the cure for Wildfire is currently being made in Spain, after the Wildfire scientists were hunted and exiled from France during a period of revolution.
Your connection to Morgan is also so interesting, as I have long held that Morgan and Daryl are proxies for one another, both as Jonah archetypes from the Old Testament, aka "reluctant heroes" who must fully descend into the belly of the whale before having their epiphany and rising to the challenge. Their first and only true confrontation takes place in "New Best Friends," after Daryl finds Carol living in a house outside of the Kingdom and realizes that Morgan lied to him about her presence there. Daryl is angry, and he tasks Morgan with helping him to get Ezekiel to join Rick in the war. Morgan, however, says that it can't be him, because he's struggling with his ability to kill. In the conversation, Daryl tells him to let go of the past, and whatever he's hanging on to, but Morgan tells him that they're "the same."

Both characters routinely run from heroism or deflect heroism via self-loathing tendencies. Both characters continuously struggle with moving forward, allowing the past to hamper their progress like an anchor. Both characters are also prone to hallucinations and madness, making them akin to biblical prophets and easy proxies for tptb to use when desiring to send cryptic messages to the audience.
Tumblr media
At the end of the episode, Daryl leaves the Kingdom, where he's been hiding in sanctuary after his escape from Negan, on a journey back to Hilltop to get ready for All Out War. Daryl will not even begin to resurface from his time of darkness until after Carl's death, and most prominently, not until he returns from his multi-year period of wandering spent in the woods, after Rick's.
Tumblr media
There's a lot more to say about this, but it's related to Daryl's arrows when they are red vs. when they are green, and that's a separate post. For now: Morgan's presence in "Coda" implies that his "pilgrimage" is in some way related to Beth's. It could be foreshadowing, or, in more Biblical terms, "prophecy" for Daryl's pilgrimage to Beth, as "New Best Friends" is all about Daryl's descent into darkness before the storm, and his loss of faith in people, as well as a lengthy separation from Carol, not unlike what happens in "Still" and what is going on at the beginning of Daryl Dixon season 1. This is even more poetic if we eventually learn that Morgan actually did, at some point, encounter Beth or her "body" post-Grady.
Perhaps this is in some part what Morgan "realizes" during his prophetic laughter at the end of "Coda": That Beth will be found again at the end of a similar pilgrimage for Daryl, his descent into darkness and subsequent rediscovery of his faith, and at the tail end of a holy war.

I'm very intrigued!!
SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA IS HAPPENING GUYS😱😱😱😱😱😱
Just popping in real quick to scream about the most excellent news reported in this post by @bethgreeneprevails:
Tumblr media
For context, the capital of Galicia is Santiago de Compostela:
Tumblr media
I’ve written several posts on this topic (here, here, here and here and even here) over the past few months, but even more exciting is that the symbolism leading up to this has been present in TWDU for literal YEARS!!!
I've been theorizing over this for years, and I predicted that Santiago de Compostela would become significant in some way, and now it’s confirmed. I love that for us! The signs are all there, you just gotta know how to read them😄
Long story short (see the individual posts linked above for more in-depth discussion):
Santiago de Compostela is one of the world's most famous pilgrimage destinations. Morgan brought the "pilgrim" symbolism to TWDU. On his wall in Clear we see references to the "Green Route".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Northern Way of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is sometimes referred to as "the Green Way", because it goes through a particularly lush and green part of Spain, called Green Spain:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Northern Way through Green Spain (the Green Way) to Santiago de Compostela starts off in San Sebastian, where Daryl's finger pointed to on a map in TWDDD 1x1:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Morgan was the one to really bring the pilgrim/pilgrimage symbolism into TWDU, he always struck me as a St. Christopher figure:
Tumblr media
This was particularly evident in the coda of TWD 5x8 Coda...
Tumblr media
...where we saw him reach Father Gabriel's church as though he had reached his pilgrimage destination. He "resurrected" a cross, which TD interpreted as a representation of the "resurrection" of Beth, who had just "died" in 5x8 Coda.
Pilgrimage has always been about "healing" in some way, shape, or form, and I wrote about the symbolism around "healing" and how it potentially ties into the search for a cure for the Wildfire zombie virus in this post. I believe this could come into play again in a storyline centered around Santiago de compostela.
Also, as we process the news about filming in Santiago de compostela, one of the world's most famous pilgrimage destinations, let's keep in mind that the working title of TWDDD was "Pilgrim":
Tumblr media
As far back as in season 5, I started seeing Morgan as a St. Christopher figure, and later a St. Christopher medallion was introduced in FTWD by Daniel Salazar, a charachter who had survived a gunshot to the head:
Tumblr media
Yeah, just a character randomly surviving getting shot in the head. Pure coincidence I'm sure...
St. Christopher is the patron saint of travellers (such as pilgrims) and motorists:
Tumblr media
In FTWD it was explained that the medallion had protective properties:
Tumblr media
We all know a girl who's had her fair share of bad luck around cars:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm pretty sure being kidnapped and thrown in the trunk of a car qualifies as being a "traveller" and a "motorist" in need of protection from St. Christopher...
All of these pilgrim/pilgrimage references were introduced directly after Beth had "died" in Coda, and now pilgrim/pilgrimage symbolism is making a return in a BIG way, in one of the world's most famous destinations for pilgrimage, the end-point of the Northern Way/Green Way/Green Route through Green Spain... in a show that was originally called "Pilgrim".
And in this post I haven't even touched on how Beth Greene is tied up in the "North" symbolism of TWDU, but I've written about that in a large number of posts such as this one (X), which is worth keeping in mind as we internalize that the Northern Way to Santiago de Compostela goes through Green Spain...

“I'm thinking that's why we haven't found a place that's worked yet. We were thinking too small. Someone helped me when she didn't have to. I think it's time for us to do the same.” - Madison Clark
“I was afraid to lose this place because I thought you needed it to stay who you are right now. But you know it... No one's gone until they're gone.” - Madison Clark
“I was thinking about what you said, about why we're still standing and I think you might be right. I think us helping people isn't the only reason. You know? In trying to make up for the lives we took, I think we stopped living our own. We are gonna get back. And we're gonna keep on finding people to help, but we're also gonna help ourselves. We're gonna find a way to start living, Alicia. Okay?” - Morgan Jones
