REVENGE for @autumnalfallingleaves over on art fight ! I think that AJ would think Madison is just SO cool. She has a dragon, she skateboards, she plays the drums, she's a witch AND she pisses off the local police force??? Sign her up. Annoying little sister who won't leave you and your best friend alone when you're hanging out. The definition of "Mum said I could come too!" except she's trying so hard to be chill and cool about it.

Gorham to Pinkham Notch (NH)
7 October 2021
Tumblr media
I headed out from Gorham around sunrise in heavy fog, which is probably not unusual here in the Androscoggin Valley. But 3 miles up the road (and maybe 200-300’ higher) I broke out into completely clear skies. There were great views of Mount Washington and the northern Presidential Range (Madison, Adams, and Jefferson). The fall colors were great. This has been a strange weather year in New England (incredibly rainy this summer) and it may have delayed or dampened this year’s foliage compared to some years, but we’ve really enjoyed it (especially since we left the drizzle behind in Vermont).
Tumblr media
This was a very simple ride - up the hill from Gorham to Pinkham Notch on NH 16, then back on the same road. The road is wide with generous shoulders (except in a couple of sections near the top where a passing lane is added at the expense of the wide shoulder). The route climbs about 1400’, from 800’ in Gorham to a little over 2000’ at the Notch. The grades start easy and get steeper towards the top. The worst pitch is some 7-8% just above the Wildcat Ski Area.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The lodge at Pinkham Notch is maintained by the Appalachian Mountain Club and has served hikers, climbers, skiers, and probably a few cyclists for many decades. The lodge is open for breakfast early. I just opted for coffee, but enjoyed the ambiance and listening to the hikers compare notes and discuss plans. In the past (ancient past, like in the 1970s) this was my starting point for hikes up Mount Washington through Tuckerman’s Ravine, but today it was the end of my climb. The ride back down was fast. I hit the fog again a couple of miles out of town (but it had burned off completely when we drove out 45 minutes later).

Super 12 boys tennis finalists announced
New Post has been published on https://tattlepress.com/tennis/super-12-boys-tennis-finalists-announced/
Super 12 boys tennis finalists announced
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ThisWeek Super 12 boys tennis team features three 2021 state champions.
All the honorees are finalists to be named Captain – our boys tennis Athlete of the Year. That honor will be announced during the Central Ohio High School Sports Awards online show at 8 p.m. June 30.
Bios for previous honorees are available by clicking on the H.S. Sports Awards link at ThisWeekSPORTS.com.
Below is the Super 12 for boys tennis:
Tumblr media
Griffin Biernat, Wellington
Biernat closed his prep career by competing in the state tournament for the second time.
The Wellington senior teamed with his brother, Connor Biernat, to win the Division II state doubles championship in 2018 and then had his 2019 season end at district. Both seasons, he helped the Jaguars win Ohio Tennis Coaches Association team championships.
This spring, Biernat played first singles and won sectional and district championships.
At state, he won his opening match before falling 6-2, 6-3 to eventual champion Andrew Zimcosky of Chagrin Falls in a quarterfinal.
His other three losses came against Division I state qualifiers.
“He’s (started) to think a little bit more and work the point a little bit better,” coach Tommy Haddow said. “He’s done a great job. He’s a leader.”
Tumblr media
Vishnu Bodavula, Olentangy Liberty
With placement for the Division I district tournament on the line, this Liberty senior avenged one of his two regular-season losses by beating St. Charles’ Reece Yakubov 6-2, 6-1 in a semifinal.
Bodavula went on to finish as district runner-up and won his opening state match. Then against eventual state runner-up Vignesh Gogineni of Mason, Bodavula won the first set in a tiebreaker before falling 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 6-0 in a quarterfinal.
Bodavula, who will play for the United States Military Academy at West Point, helped the Patriots finish 8-4.
“Every single match, Vishnu has improved, there’s no doubt in my mind about that,” coach Adrian Tolentino said. “He’s the type of player who definitely reflects on how he’s playing at the moment and adjusts really well. He’s a smart player and has been playing smarter and smarter.”
Tumblr media
Devin Boyer, New Albany
Boyer, a senior and Cleveland State recruit, became the second player in program history to win two state championships when he teamed with classmate Ryan Mudre to capture the Division I doubles title.
Boyer, who was part of a state championship doubles team as a freshman in 2018 with Nathan Jose, played first or second singles most of the season and helped New Albany to a second-place finish in the OTCA Division I state tournament.
Peter Kobelt won a doubles title in Division II in 2007 and the Division I singles championship in 2009.
“Devin is a kid who has always stepped up and done what was necessary,” coach Marc Thomas said. “He’s a team guy first. You have a great team when your best players are your best leaders.”
Tumblr media
Brandon Carpico, Gahanna Lincoln
During his first prep season, this sophomore became the first Division I state singles champion for Gahanna when he beat Mason’s Gogineni 6-4, 6-3 for the title.
Carpico lost two singles matches all season, with one coming in a sectional final, and beat Liberty’s Bodavula 7-6, 6-4 for the district championship.
He became the Lions’ first state qualifier since 2013 when Canyon Teague finished a then-program-best fourth at state.
During the regular season, Carpico helped the Lions go 16-3.
“You’ve got some great tennis in Ohio, and Brandon just got hot at the right time and did an absolutely fantastic job,” coach Chris Schwinnen said. “It’s been a while (since Gahanna has had a state qualifier) so we’re really excited. He’s got the whole package.”
Tumblr media
Max Fickas, Dublin Jerome
With Fickas, a junior, leading the way, the Celtics earned a second consecutive Division I district runner-up finish in the OTCA team tournament.
Fickas teamed with junior Tanish Pairu for the postseason after playing first singles throughout the regular season and that proved to be a winning combination, as they won a sectional title and finished as district runners-up.
At the state tournament, Fickas and Pairu lost in a quarterfinal.
Fickas helped the Celtics go 14-2 in the regular season.
“Max (was) really solid this season,” coach Ken Berlin said. “Just to see the growth from the first match on, he’s been steady. He’s our No. 1 singles guy and has been a mainstay there. He’s been a very good leader and a good captain for us.”
Tumblr media
Jack Madison, Columbus Academy
Madison, a senior, joined teammate Arie Tuckerman to reach the Division II state doubles final despite playing about half the season with a hernia injury.
Competing in their second state tournament, Madison and Tuckerman lost the championship match 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 to Pepper Pike Orange’s Josh Nwaozuzu and Chika Nwaozuzu. They also finished second in 2019.
A Colorado College commit, Madison finished 12-3 in doubles. He helped Academy earn its first OTCA Division II state team tournament berth since 2016, and the Vikings finished third.
“Jack had a great career for Academy,” coach Marc Wurtzman said. “He was co-captain with (Tuckerman) and did a great job with his leadership skills. Jack’s hard work got him a state doubles runner-up and a state team tournament (berth).”
Tumblr media
Ryan Mudre, New Albany
A three-time state qualifier and Tennessee-Chattanooga recruit, Mudre finished his prep career by sharing the Division I state doubles championship with Boyer.
Mudre went 20-1, playing mostly singles. He was a state qualifier in singles in 2018 and 2019, and he and Boyer lost just one set in the postseason, that being the second set of a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 win over Mason’s Akshay Joshi and Sam King in the state final.
On a team level, New Albany finished as OTCA state runner-up for the third time in five seasons.
“Ryan played great all season,” Thomas said. “Watching Devin and Ryan win a state title together will be one of the highlights of my coaching career. Getting to watch them do that was one of those moments I will not forget.”
Tumblr media
Parth Patel, Olentangy Orange
Patel won a Division I sectional title before losing to Liberty’s Bodvula 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 in a state-qualifying match at district.
The junior went 9-3 in his first season at first singles for the Pioneers, who finished 8-3 overall and won the OCC-Central Division at 5-0.
“Parth has a high attention to detail,” coach Matt Rutherford said. “He’s very coachable. When I tell him something, he does it to a tee. After Parth lost to Vishnu at district, he asked when we could start working to get ready for next year. He always is looking to improve.
“He is so much more versatile than when he was a freshman. He can play good defensive tennis but also can come to the net and finish points.”
Tumblr media
Sam Routzahn, Olentangy
Routzahn, a senior and Warner University recruit, won a sectional singles championship and went 1-1 at district after leading the Braves to records of 11-3 overall and 4-1 in the OCC-Cardinal.
Routzahn was part of a state-qualifying doubles team as a sophomore with then-freshman Omar Khayat.
“Sam is the hardest worker I have coached in my 10 years at Olentangy. It’s inspiring to see the way he puts his entire focus into any drill in practice and in every point,” coach Jeff Luxenburger said. “It’s also been wonderful to see Sam develop as a team leader in these four years. He was an amazing captain who always put the team first. He is such a special player and we all can’t wait to see what he does at the college level.”
Tumblr media
Arie Tuckerman, Columbus Academy
Tuckerman, a senior, joined Madison in giving Academy a solid pair at the top of the lineup.
Tuckerman finished 11-4 in doubles, and he and Madison finished second in the Division II state doubles tournament.
The Vikings also earned an OTCA Division II state team tournament berth by beating Wellington 3-1 in the district final.
Academy lost 3-1 to Pepper Pike Orange in a state semifinal before finishing third with a 3-1 win over Lexington in the consolation match.
“Arie had a great career at Columbus Academy,” Wurtzman said. “He did a tremendous job of leading the team along with (Madison) to a state final. Arie continued to improve his game throughout the season, which led to a state runner-up with Jack.”
Tumblr media
Pavan Uppu, Pickerington North
Uppu, a sophomore, was the first singles state qualifier in program history after leading the Panthers to records of 9-6 overall and 3-2 in the OCC-Ohio.
Uppu, who played first singles for most of the season and finished fourth at both sectional and district, was North’s first state representative since the doubles team of Kyle Hilborn and Saumil Modi in 2007. Uppu lost 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (4) to Medina Highland’s Elijah Hadler in the first round at state.
“Nobody works harder to improve their game than Pavan. He is a very driven player and wants to be the best,” coach Brian Hoff said. “Pavan spends every moment he can on the court trying to get better. His ultimate goal is to make it to the second day of the state tournament and compete for a state title.”
Tumblr media
Reece Yakubov, St. Charles
Yakubov made his third trip to the Division I state tournament, defeating Springboro’s Sai Dore 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 before losing to Cleveland St. Ignatius’ Nate Day 6-3, 6-4 in a quarterfinal.
The Ohio State signee won a sectional title before placing third at district.
“Reece is just a workhorse,” Rutherford said. “He’s relentless and that sets him apart from other players. He has an incredible forehand that’s so hard to hit.
“He is such a determined player, but he’s special because he is so humble. He has been a positive influence on central Ohio tennis.”
As a freshman, Yakubov and Jack Dabek were state runners-up in doubles. He qualified in singles in 2019 and lost in a quarterfinal.

This week in odd news: 'Stooges' hairdo and a $284B bill
Tumblr media
FALLS CHURCH, Va./December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— A suspect wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with “Trust Me” allegedly stole a car with an accomplice in Fairfax County, Virginia.
The Washington Post reports that the two suspects from Falls Church were arrested by police in the stolen car not long after the unlocked Honda Civic was taken as it warmed up.
Police say they also found several forged checks during the arrests.
The newspaper says Wilmer Lara Garcia has been charged with auto theft and two counts of forgery. Police say he was wearing the shirt that read “Trust Me.”
His accomplice was charged with auto theft.
FLORIDA MAN SAYS HE PUNCHED ATM FOR GIVING TOO MUCH CASH
COCOA, Fla/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— A Florida man told investigators he punched an automatic teller machine because it gave him too much cash.
An arrest report says 23-year-old Michael Joseph Oleksik man caused about $5,000 in damage to an ATM at a Wells Fargo bank branch in Cocoa on Nov. 29. He was arrested Dec. 22 on a criminal mischief charge after bank officials decided to press charges.
Florida Today reports surveillance video captured Oleksik pummeling the touchscreen.
An arrest report says that Oleksik told a bank manager he was angry that the machine was giving him too much money and he didn’t know what to do because he was in a hurry for work. He apologized for causing damage.
Jail records don’t list a lawyer for Oleksik.
DEFINITION MISSION: A RHYMING LIMERICK FOR EACH ENGLISH WORD
One man’s joke has become his mission: to give each word a rhyming definition.
Chris Strolin was teasing English buffs in an online forum years ago when he said the dictionary would be greatly improved if definitions were written as five-line limericks. Then he decided to try it for real.
The Omnificent English Dictionary in Limerick Form — or OEDILF (OH-dilf) for short — has published more than 97,000 rhyming definitions since Strolin started the online dictionary in 2004. He expects to reach limerick No. 100,000 sometime in 2018.
Even with help from roughly 1,000 contributing writers, Strolin’s limerick dictionary is nowhere near finished. It currently ends in the Gs at the word “gizzard.”
Strolin hopes his grandchildren — or perhaps their kids — will finish the Zs.
WOMAN STUNNED TO FIND ELECTRIC BILL LISTED AS $284 BILLION
ERIE, Pa/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— A Pennsylvania woman says she went online to check her electric bill and was stunned at the amount — more than $284 billion.
The Erie Times-News reports that Mary Horomanski said her eyes “just about popped out” of her head when she saw the amount. She suspected that her family had put up their Christmas lights wrong.
The silver lining was that she didn’t have to pay the full amount until November 2018 — only a $28,156 minimum payment was due for December.
Horomanski’s son contacted Penelac, her electric provider, who confirmed the error. Parent company First Energy said a decimal point was accidentally moved. Her new amount was quickly corrected to $284.46.
STYLIST ACCUSED OF GIVING MAN UNWANTED ‘STOOGES’ HAIRDO
MADISON, Wis/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— Police in Madison, Wisconsin, arrested a hairstylist after he gave a customer a very unwanted Larry Fine hairdo.
Police spokesman Joel DeSpain says the 22-year-old victim told officers the stylist asked him to stop fidgeting and moving his head during the Friday haircut. The Wisconsin State Journal reports that DeSpain says the stylist then nicked the customer’s ear with his clippers before running them down the middle of the man’s head on their shortest attachment, “leaving him looking a bit like Larry from ‘The Three Stooges.'”
DeSpain says officers arrested the 46-year-old hairstylist, Khaled A. Shabani, who pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct Wednesday. DeSpain says Shabani told officers it was an accident.
WOMAN ACCUSED OF TRYING TO SNORT COCAINE IN POLICE STATION
LEDYARD, Conn/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— A woman has been accused of trying to snort cocaine inside a Connecticut police station while waiting to be booked on unrelated charges.
Police say Nicole Hunter was charged on Christmas Day with possession of narcotics, interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct.
Police had arrested Hunter after a confrontation at her home in Ledyard while investigating a report of an erratic driver. They say the vehicle involved matched the one in Hunter’s driveway.
Police say Hunter was in a waiting area of the police station when she pulled cocaine wrapped in paper from inside her clothing and tried to snort it.
Hunter doesn’t have a listed phone number and can’t be reached for comment. She’s due in court Jan. 8.
ANTI-GAMBLING CRUSADER WINS $25K IN GAMING SWEEPSTAKES
CHICAGO/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— A suburban Chicago woman who has crusaded against gambling for decades has won $25,000 by playing a sweepstakes game at a gambling cafe.
Kathy Gilroy tells the Chicago Tribune that while it’s ironic she won the sweepstakes, the distinction is that she didn’t spend her own money to gamble.
Gilroy has said gambling can lead to addiction, bankruptcy, crime and suicide. She helped shut down a $1.6 million Queen of Hearts raffle put on by the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in rural Morris this year until the raffle was properly licensed.
Gilroy says she’s participated in other sweepstakes and won prizes, including electronics and trips to the Bahamas and California. She says she enters sweepstakes because they’re made available free of charge under state law.
POLICE: WOMAN RUINED $300K WORTH OF ART ON DATE WITH LAWYER
HOUSTON/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— Authorities say an intoxicated Dallas woman on a first date with a prominent Houston trial lawyer caused at least $300,000 in damage to his art collection, including two Andy Warhol paintings.
Lindy Lou Layman was arrested Saturday on criminal mischief charges after her date with Anthony Buzbee. She was released on $30,000 bond. Online court records don’t list an attorney for her.
Prosecutors say Buzbee told investigators that the 29-year-old Layman got too intoxicated on their date, so he called her an Uber after they returned to his home. She allegedly refused to leave and hid inside the home, and that when Buzbee found her and called a second Uber, she got aggressive.
Authorities say she tore down several paintings and poured red wine on some, and she threw two $20,000 sculptures.
The damaged Warhol paintings were each valued at $500,000.
HEARTWARMINGLY ICY: DESPITE MINUS 34 TEMP, COUPLE GET ENGAGED
SARGENT’S PURCHASE, N.H/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News) — A New Hampshire man hasn’t let an extreme cold get in the way of a heartwarming proposal.
WMUR-TV reports that 31-year-old Josh Darnell, of Londonderry, dropped to his knee and popped the question after climbing Tuckerman’s Ravine on Thursday, the same day it hit minus 34 (-37 Celsius) on Mount Washington.
There’s a happy ending: twenty-seven-year-old Rachel Raske (RASS’-kee), of Lowell, Massachusetts, said yes. Raske tells WMUR that Darnell had hiked Tuckerman’s Ravine last summer with his dad and had been planning to pop the question there ever since.
MAN CHARGED WITH SNEAKING INTO HOME TO TRY TO STEAL UNDIES
WASHINGTON, Mo/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— Police say an eastern Missouri man told officers he has an “underwear fetish” and admitted to sneaking into a home to try to steal a pair.
The St. Louis Post- Dispatch reports that 34-year-old Cody Hassler, of Washington, Missouri, was charged Wednesday with first-degree burglary, first-degree stalking and stealing. No attorney is listed in online court records. Bond is set at $75,000.
Police say Hassler admitted to sneaking into the house through an unlocked basement door in October while a mother and her teenage daughter were sleeping and taking a pair of underwear from the laundry room.
The teenager awoke when she heard footsteps and police were called. Officers found a pair of underwear that apparently had been dropped when the suspect fled. Hassler also admitted to looking through bedroom windows.
BURNT BAGEL BLAMED FOR ST. LOUIS AIRPORT EVACUATION
ST. LOUIS/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— A burnt bagel is being blamed for the evacuation of a terminal at Lambert Airport in St. Louis.
Airport officials say a bagel burned in a restaurant in Terminal 2 around 6 p.m. Tuesday, setting off smoke detectors and prompting a full evacuation. An estimated 300 to 400 people were required to go outside, where the temperature was 11 degrees.
The airport says the evacuation lasted only about five minutes, but passengers had to go back through security checks once they re-entered the building. No flight delays were reported.
A COUGAR IN YOUR LUGGAGE? HUNTING CARCASS FOUND AT AIRPORT
LAS VEGAS/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)Police say a hunter’s trip home hit a snag in Las Vegas after security screeners found a dead cougar in his luggage.
No crime was committed because the man had a hunting tag. But police Lt. David Gordon told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Transportation Security Administration agents held the man at McCarran International Airport late Tuesday to confirm the validity of the Utah hunting tag.
His name and where he was headed weren’t released.
Airport spokeswoman Melissa Nunnery says the man ended up shipping the cougar carcass home, not on the airplane.
Gordon says it’s not a crime to transport legally possessed game on an airline flight. But he says airlines can refuse to transport certain items.
LIFELONG BEST FRIENDS DISCOVER THEY’RE ACTUALLY BROTHERS
HONOLULU/December 30,2017(AP)(STL.News)— Two Hawaii men who grew up as best friends have recently learned that they’re actually brothers.
Alan Robinson and Walter Macfarlane have been friends for 60 years. Born in Hawaii 15 months apart, they met in the sixth grade and played football together at a Honolulu prep school.
Macfarlane never knew his father. Robinson was adopted.
Honolulu news station KHON-TV reports that the men learned they’re related through a family history and DNA website. They revealed the discovery Saturday.
Macfarlane’s daughter, Cindy Macfarlane-Flores, says when they started digging into answers about his family history, a top DNA match was someone with the username Robi737.
Robinson’s nickname was “Robi” and he flew 737s for Aloha Airlines.
They plan to travel and enjoy retirement together.
Robinson says it’s the best Christmas present.

I just saw the hilda season 3 clip too and I would love to hear about your Frankie headcanons
FUCK YEAH here you go <3
When I posted that I specifically had in mind that Frankie loves baking and is really a perfectionist when it comes to baking. He needs all the measurements to be PERFECT and will accept no less.
That said, I think Hilda is more of a cook. She can't bake. She doesn't understand that baking is all about measurements and precision. Cooking, however, she is good at because she can through things in there willy-nilly and they always turn out great. She can never recreate recipes, though.
You can't trust her around even the easiest things like cookies because she WILL fuck them up. She can decorate them, though. They're quite lovely when she does.
Frida can cook AND bake. She's awesome like that.
Frankie can't cook on his own, but he can help when others do. He loves helping his moms with dinner.
Frida and Hilda have a ton of great pictures of Frankie learning to bake through the years. They're so proud of him.
Frankie's actually competed in several baking competitions in the Trolberg area. More often than not, he gets in the top three, and has won first place a not-insignificant number of times.
(Do not let Madison in the kitchen at all. She's nearly set fire to the kitchen multiple times. She can burn water.)
(Frankie always threatens to disown her as his best friend after a Kitchen Incident occurs. He never follows through.)
Frankie has, unfortunately, clinically-diagnosed anxiety. There might also be some autism kicking around in there, as well
He loves adventure and he loves exploring but sometimes he gets real overwhelmed and needs to have a few down days. Reading with Frida or doing art with Hilda are two things that really help.
Frankie actually bonds with David over the anxiety. David helps him develop some mindfulness techniques to keep him grounded.
David plays bass guitar and I can see him either being a music teacher or a cameraman for the local news. Either way, he'll play his guitar with Frankie playing piano as a way to relax.
Frankie and Madison have an unofficial band called The Purple Witches. It's partially because that's what Madison called Kaisa once when she forgot her name and now uses it as a way to tease Kaisa and partially because they think it sounds cool.
When Frankie and Madison meet Jenna, she joins as a violinist. Frankie plays piano and Madison is on drums.
They have an interesting sound lmao
That's all for right now but to anyone-- feel free to ask about anything specific about Frankie and/or Madison or any other aspect of this 'verse! I love fleshing them out :)

Writing this because I really really fucking want to write and draw about Frankie and Madison. Season 3 gave me so much material but I can't make myself make that shit physical help
It may not seem like it, but I am constantly rotating my OCs in my brain. They have so much lore. I have Scenerios™️ that have been brewing. Hell if I can put them in writing or art, though.

Unless this has been asked before (in which case feel free to ignore), have you thought about how Frankie and Madison meet? Or when Frankie is first taught about his witch/troll heritage? I can imagine how exciting it must've been seeing his mum and amma show off their abilities.
I actually haven't talked about this before! Madison is David's younger cousin, so she and Frankie have known each other since they were toddlers. Their relationship is somewhere between best friends and cousins. Related to this- since Frankie's been around a non-Trollish kid since he was little, he's got a reference point for what is human and what is not. All this to say that he's known since he was very little that he's not entirely human, and that magic is very prevalent in his family. It's one of those things that you've known since you could know things, and was raised on and not told straight-out because he already knew it.
He loves watching his mums do magic. Because they use magic in everyday life, Frankie's witch tendencies showed themselves at an early age when trying to imitate Frida. He can't turn into a Troll like Hilda can, but he got other Trollish traits, like growling, slightly glowing eyes, increased strength, and heightened senses. Also very sharp teeth. That made teething hard. He loves getting piggyback rides from Hilda when she's in Troll form because she'll take him for runs and he loves going fast. Like Hilda, he's a bit of an adrenaline junkie, but he's not as open about it.

YES HE!! I’ve been waiting to talk about him!!
In short, Franklin “Frankie” Alexander Folke is my Frilda fankid. I don’t remember exactly when I came up with the idea for him, but he’s adorable and I love him. He’s got all of his Amma’s (Hilda’s) spunk, but with the temperament of his Mum (Frida). He inherited their magical affinity, as well, and is a witch. His wand is a paintbrush and he loves making art. He’s got his own Familiar as well- he found a deerfox pup in the woods when he was young and named her Pinecone. Does anyone know where she came from? No, but everyone loves her. Frankie’s best friend is another of my OCs, a witch of the same age named Madison Tuckerman.
Like his Amma, Frankie can talk to and understand Trolls. He doesn’t have her Changeling ability, but he does have some Trollish magic to him. He’s not that good at the more physical magic (fire creation, stone moving), but he’s pretty good with illusions, due to his artistic ability. He takes after his Mum’s studious nature, though, so that’s why he’s a witch instead of some other magical vocation.
He’s also the father of Daniella (when he’s older, of course), a background character-inspired OC that I talked about a few days ago because she looks like she could be related to Frilda lol. I’ll link to that post in a reblog.
(And on the name- I decided a while ago that Hilda’s last name is “Folke” because the graphic novels are called Hildafolk and I thought it was funny. So my headcanon name for Hilda until proven otherwise is Hilda Marjorie Folke.)
