I awoke in the middle of the night with an epiphany. My assistant/best friend/but really my assistant Tiara sleeps in an adjacent bed for this exact situation. Watching the crowds of Trump supporters, it occurred to me that all they really want is a good-paying job. A decent factory job that is given to them since they already exhausted all their financial assistance the government has provided. That struggle is so real, gorl. . The majority of Trump supporters are – look at me, I almost had Tiara type affluent! – upper middle class white men and women, and don’t they deserve quality like the upper class? I ask you. “What if,” I said to Tiara, “I met with Henri-Louis Bauer and convinced him to open a factory in the Appalachia for people to make saddles, leather goods, textiles, and jewelry?” We start with Hermès opening a factory and then expand the business model to other brands. Tiara knew my idea was genius because, well. . Tiara pointed out that Appalachia applies to a large area of the U.S. To my credit, that same area is chock full of middle-class Trump supporters who would rather scream until they’re handed a job rather than create their own local economies by teaching each other trades to create products and services. All those people making luxury goods for second wives to tag in their Instagram photos…it just bring a perfect pear-shaped tear to my eye. (Tiara! TIARA! Catch the tear.) Tiara is in the finishing stages of my business plan, and we’re leaving this evening for Paris to meet with Henri-Louis.
