ok so normally i do not do this type of stuff but uhhhhhh...poll of choose one out of five characters (from anime/fighting games) (got inspired by some poll in which of course i choose daddy kazuya-kun!~(◕‿◕))

behold!:

>a martial artist who is known for pretty much being everywhere you go (fortnite, smash bros, marvel vs capcom, snk vs capcom, namco x capcom, sonic and megaman worlds unite comic, hell even power rangers gets a crossover with street fighter). he likes grapes, so maybe get him some grape ice cream or grape juice if you want to give him something.

>an autistic muscular beefy shy stoic bisexual japanese demon/human hybrid man who has survivor's guilt and trust issues. he loves nature (ex. fishing, gardening, and bird watching), forest bathing, and walking in the forest. he tends to be distant towards others (because of devil gene and fear of people getting killed in the crossfires between him and his dysfunctional family) but he cares about them.

>a delinquent cocky high school drop out who may have never graduated high school, but will definitely still be able to make a living for himself by winning martial arts tournaments and defeating abominations threatening society. he loves poetry, riding motorcycles, and broiled fish.

>a gay homosexual goat villain who should've been the final boss of his franchise, but no it just had to be that lame black goo and that stupid lame rabbit lady. anyways - he shits on everyone (he washed the whole allied shinobi army, he washed the five kages, he finally beat his childhood friend/rival/boyfriend hashirama senju, he almost killed the mc jesus-kun- i mean naruto uzumaki and also gave his best friend sasuke the aerith gainsborough treatment.), he has the best drip in the whole anime/manga, and the biggest #1 hashirama senju dick rider (ex. him glazing hashirama during the five kage fight, and him putting hashirama's face on his damn tit).

>a 200 IQ brunette soul reaper man who also washed the shit out of everyone (stopped mr. poster boy's bankai with a finger, shits on the whole gotei 13, shits on the Visored). just a handsome lonely dude with a god complex who wants to make the world a better place by questionable methods. ironically saved soul society's ass by literally doing nothing but chilling while sitting on the legendary chair-sama (just like how luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing). he turned into a pretty butterfly at one point while fighting mr. poster boy ichigo. he likes tofu, drinking tea, calligraphy, reading books, performing hollowfication experiments, and he hates boiled eggs.

Duplicate Requests

In case anyone's wondering why the requests box has been open for so long. Apparently great minds think alike because there have been so many duplicates. And since I've started making the poll matchups with the most duplicates, I've been able to knock out 30 requests with like 7 polls due to the amount of duplicates. So I can quickly delete those requests so they're not taking up space in the inbox to allow more people to make requests before it hits the limit and I close things. The most popular duplicates were

Hi.... If you don't mind, can I ask your top 5 (or top 3) favorite characters from Jujutsu Kaisen? And why you loved them? And your top 5 favorite moments from the series? Sorry if you've answered this before.....

gojo -> i've written so much about him already what else is there to say anymore omg... i just love his open and goofy personality so much under which he tries to repress his deep loneliness and sense of alienation all because he has been dehumanized by the entirety of jujutsu society since his birth!!! yet he still powers on and continues to do the right thing BECAUSE he is a good person!!! because he cares!!!! ahhh it's just such a refreshing way to write a "the strongest" character. and of course it's not like he's the first one to be written with a cheery personality, but he just hit all the right spots for me. after years of madara and aizen and meruem types etc. i just love that he still tries to make human connections and still tries to make the world a better place and still tries to be good.... ugh i love him so much

toji -> shakespeare himself could've never written a character more tragic than him.... and if there's one thing you need to know about me it's that i fawking love a good tragedy

yuuta -> listen after being depressed for over a year bc of The Great Bleach 686 War and everything i ever believed in being ripped apart and eradicated right in front of my eyes in real time (i literally turned into a kpop blog bc of bleach 686 back then fucking hell....) ... i saw this announcement of a new mini serialization in 2017 and i thought .... wow ... reminds me of the early bleach art so much ..... and then i read the first chapter of tokyo metropolitan curse technical school, as it was called back then, and i was like ...... okkotsu yuuta is my son, my baby, my child whomst i have carried inside for 9 months and have birthed ..... okkotsu yuuta is ME & GOJO'S SON !!!!!!

yuuji -> he's just a good kid man 🥹 he's just a child ... my child .... mine & gojo's 🥹🥹🥹 his character arc in shibuya.... truly shakespeare levels of writing i miss the HI/SI ghostwriter/editor gege used to have so much he needs to come back asap

yuki -> MY WIFE !!!!!! if it wasn't obvious by now i love open and friendly and amiable characters. also i want to be her. also i want to kiss her. also i want her swagger. also i want to be her spouse. aghhh she's the quirky outsider with a whatever i am free attitude YET she still cares about the world she lives in and tries to do good .. by thinking outside of the box and guide the world into a cursed energy-less era which directly opposes the antagonists' interests on a different level than how jujutsu society/the school/our main protags do. WHICH IS SO INTERESTING !!!!!! AND THEN GEGE KILLS HER OFF RAAAAHAHHHHHH HE NEEDS TO BE IN PRISON. WE NEVER EVEN GOT A YUKI/GOJO OR YUKI/TODO INTERACTION IS HE FUCKING CRAZY >!!??!?!?!?????? she's so badass. she's a foil to gojo if you think about it. they're both special grades and live quite outside of the confines of jujutsu: yuki in a i've abandoned the life to do my own thing (research on how to end jujutsu directly against the interests of the elders); gojo in a i stand above it all so i will do my own thing (raise a new generation of sorcerers with a new instilled creed that directly opposes the elders). very interesting analysis if someone else wants to go deeper into it...

top 5 moments:

hidden inventory in its entirety but especially the final fight between gojo and toji... those two rocked my world

gojo vs sukuna (minus 236)

yuuji's entire arc in shibuya, from losing gojo sensei to getting wrecked by choso to sukuna taking over and destroying the city only to then mentally torture him over it to watching nanami and then nobara die to breaking down completely to todo coming to save him to him beating mahito to the "i'm you" scene .... god what a good fucking arc

yuuta vs yuuji. the real mc jokes back then were so fawking fun aghhh you just had to be there </3

... hm.

this really depends on if madara's rinnegan can see through aizen's illusions.

tbh aizen depends more on manipulation and damaging other people's self esteem. madara damages other people's self esteem as a byproduct of being himself and judging others for not being him. self-doubt? i don't know her. XD he wouldn't be affected. madara just doesn't let go until he's beat into the ground and physically can't keep going any longer; aizen just really deep down wanted an equaaal sobsob so personality-wise madara would shove his head into the nearest toilet and then tell him it was just an attempt to toughen him up. >_>

Who would be a better roommate

ok so cleanliness and decor it's aizen 110%. personality-wise it's... also aizen because he WOULD manipulate me into doing all the chores myself on a schedule of his choosing and i'd thank him for it but... i'd thank him for it irl too because i can't with chores irl to start with. meanwhile madara would just bitch that adversity makes you stronger and a tree root slab is already better than a stone throne so stfu and go to bed.

leaks for the madara vs aizen 2 death battle in death battle season 11: aizen kills madara and finally gets that w to satisfy the bleach dudebros only to feel sad about it, aizen realized he was actually in love with madara the entire time. then aizen uses Hōgyoku asspulls to bring madara back to life, and fucked him in his uchiha pussy very hard railing the ever living shit out of him. in the epilogue madara ends up marrying aizen and getting pregnant with his child. madara becomes hokage and aizen becomes soul king. madara gives birth to a daughter named hikari who is way better and more useful than trash sarada ever was. no slavery in hyuga clan, the rain village is restored back to it's former glory after konoha destroyed it years ago, and no more innocent kids dying in Chūnin Selection Exams. 10/10 episode solid analysis, solid animation and fight, better than boruto's entire existence.

Framing Device

Sometimes I feel like a framing device can be too good.

Basilisk tells its entire real story in the opening 5 minutes. Two families of ninjas - every one a freak with some ridiculous superpower - are going to fight to the death over functionally nothing because some people they don't even like told them to. Even if they're in love.

If what you care about is the plot...you're kind of done! Everything else is going to be a bunch of gore and unpleasantness to get to, really, just about everyone being dead.

Thankfully it's also a Weirdo Battler in the tradition of Vampire Hunter D and Ninja Scroll and to a lesser extent Jojo's, where even "knowing how it goes" falls away when it comes to the smash-figures-together action questions of "This guy can meld into rock, but this guy's a weird balloon man and that one can turn himself into some horrible worm creature! What happens when they fight?" If that more mechanical question intrigues you - If you're the kind of person who enjoys channels like Death Battle and their Madara vs Aizen analysis - you'll probably still have a good time with it.

I've watched a lot of Death Battle and always been kind of iffy about it (I agree with Stan Lee's assessment that the true answer to "who would win" questions is "well, who does the writer need to win for the story? gimme a break") and had a similarly iffy time with Basilisk. I appreciate a good battle mechanic. And I'll admit that there are moments of tight writing and characterization to let us know a little something about certain fighters - This one's naive, that one believes in the cause but hasn't really considered the possibility that their family could be in the wrong until they're being shouted at by a captor about it - and I do appreciate the craft of getting a LOT of information about "how this person has probably been living their life in general" from these tiny interactions...but then that all gets washed away in blood. And I think if more of them had been more likable this could have helped sell the tragedy. There's a fine line between "we barely got to know these folks so who gives a shit what happens to them" and "we barely got to know these people and then they died, isn't that tragic" and YMMV but I ended up moderately on the "who gives a shit" side.
