Welcome!

I decided to start a blog chronicling my husband, Matt, and I, Holly’s, journey as a worship leading husband-wife team. This was inspired by the worship leader Q&A session we attended last Sunday, Nov. 19th, at Phil Wickham’s Singalong show in Irvine, CA. We were dying to ask Bryan and Katie Torwalt to speak to their experience as a husband-wife leader duo. We didn’t get our chance to ask but noticed a *lot* of other husband-wife duos around as well. I felt a desire to connect with them and share our experiences. And here we are!

Matt and I met in church and ended up dating after serving a couple of months on the worship team together. Fast forward about 6 months and we were engaged, fast forward another 9 months and we were married! And we’ve been married and serving together ever since, for a little over three and a half years now. Matt is 27 and I just turned 30 a couple weeks ago! Oh, and we attend an awesome church called Calvary Chapel Mid Valley in Van Nuys, CA. That makes us non-denominational Christian, or evangelical Christian, or whatever you wanna call the people who really honestly just do their best to follow Jesus and the Bible. 

Anyway, I asked Matt what he thought about recording a short EP for my dad as a Christmas gift and he’s down! This is a big deal for us since we’ve only ever recorded a small handful of things together seriously (let’s face it, most things we don’t ever attempt or never finish), but people are always asking us for something. Here’s the tentative list:
