5 am tremorheal (sage/breach) headcanons:

-Going off some of his voicelines in game, Breach initially does not like Sage much at all. Like yeah, she's damn pretty, but she's a coward— hides behind walls, doesn't aggress, etc.

-Sage respects all her colleagues, but finds Breach pretty impulsive and brash. It's cute on the younger agents. Not so much on him.

-There's definitely a time they go on a mission and he sees her battle sage or something and that's what makes it click for him that like "damn, she's kind of a badass!" when she wants to be, at least.

-He's so hard-headed but when he realizes how efficient a plan of hers can be, he bites. Listens for once. The look on his face when it works out and she helps lead enemies right into his hands to throttle, he is overjoyed. She's actually cool as hell, when she isn't scolding him (or his bestie Raze, for that matter)

-Seeing the genuine joy and pride in his face after a successful plan like that starts to become a norm — seeing him realize there's a time and place to be the sword — seeing that warm smile and that laugh and his kindness opening up towards her in response... makes sage feel some kinda way

-For him, it's seeing her realize there's a time and place to be the shield. Sometimes, you gotta go crazy. You just gotta let yourself loose and trust in your strength and when he sees her do that, it sticks. She is fucking badass and awesome and beautiful and—

-"oh shit. i can't stop thinking about him/her." (crash and burn sfx)

-It's so sweet to imagine how he tries to be gentle for/to her. She doesn't like loud sounds so he talks all sweet and soft around her. Buys her the flowers she loves when he finds out her favorites. Cheers her up when too many hours in the medbay stress her out.

-She mends all his wounds. One day, he begins trusting her enough to let her braid his hair after she offers to one morning, and ever since it's become their norm. She is the only person whose hands can come close to his hair. She's not an engineer herself, but when he's working on his arms, she likes to sit by and keep him company. Talk about life, about the protocol,

-about their relationship. And one day, it becomes a real relationship.

-He loves holding her close and kissing her forehead because it's makes her smile so much

-She runs her hands through his hair when he lays his head in her lap. Shares her favorite snacks with him. Hums him to sleep some nights.
