stanning idols for a long time always hits hard when you realize how long it has been, but it hits even harder when you've stanned them as trainees for years and years before they made their debut and you suddenly see them everywhere as idols and realize how amazing they are and how much it was worth it to wait...

it happened to me with jinho, i was his fan since sm the ballad in 2010, i genuinely thought i would never see him debuting, until he returned to my life in 2016. it has been such a beautiful journey with him since, and i'm so proud of him every day 💖

it also happened to me with lew and hyeongseop from tempest. i have known them since pd101s2 in 2017, they were two of my faves on the show (my #1 was zhengting who is also from yuehua but he went back to china and debuted there, and i really loved all the yhh trainees). for a while i was wondering if they were even still in yuehua because it's been so long since yhh mentioned them and they haven't done anything... but then they debuted in tempest and i'm SO happy because musically they're one of my favorite 4th gen groups (didn't like dragon at all but i loved all their other tts and their bsides are also amazing). funnily enough though my official bias is hanbin, who i didn't know at all before tempest 😂 him & lew are sharing the bias spot though hehe. and they both look so good this cb i'm losing my mind 😭

im going crazy with how people are starting to agree with snow that sejanus was really stupid and deserved what was coming to him. reading the books first should be a pre requisite to the movie idcccc if that takes away the wider audience, the wider audience all have smooth brains anyway.

“why was he colluding with rebels when he could’ve just thought about it pragmatically 🙄” i’m in your fucking walls. sejanus was never dumb, snow just kept pushing that perception of him through the book to deflect the fact that sejanus was an actual good person. snow thought himself the personification of good and benevolence, which was why everything he did had to have some half-assed excuse as to why he was justified in doing it. it was why he was actually tweaking in the woods when lucy gray left him, because he wanted to rid himself of her but he didn’t have an actual reason so he convinced himself of the most random scenario ever to justify trying to shoot at her. so we can establish that snow was an evil broke boy who clearly wasn’t good— then sejanus was a direct confrontation of snow’s own shortcomings towards that (i don’t think i have to detail how sejanus was genuine, it was obvious). coriolanus and sejanus are like the direct opposite characters of each other, and snow knew and took pride in this to an extent. which is why snow couldn’t admit that sejanus was good to himself, thus sejanus was deemed ‘stupid’ to protect his own deluded self actualisation (but this also includes other aspects like how the war made the plinths rich and the snows poor, leading to resentment and jealousy from snow).

“but that still didn’t mean he wasn’t doing dumb things throughout the book” was it really that dumb? a rebellion will always include some level of risk but i don’t hear anyone calling heavensbee stupid because it actually worked out for him. plus sejanus is district, so if we use our common sense of who he is as a character and emotional intelligence of his situation, it’s pretty easy to see why he would get in touch with rebels. he’s literally always yearned for the districts, he never once cared about his money or safety, which isn’t stupid, it’s sad. this was his way of dealing with the guilt of profiting from his people’s suffering— again, not stupid. you could argue he was reckless, especially when he went into the arena, but most people who simply cast him as a ‘dumb character’ ignore how troubled he is and fall into the very filtered lens of snow who was just concentrating on his stupidity.

sejanus’ growing radical actions had nothing to do with stupidity and everything to do with feeling helpless and like nothing was changing. he tried minor/low-risk things such as attempting to change the perception of the districts in the capitol, advocating against the hunger games etc etc. of course it didn’t work, so his options grew limited to more radical courses of action. its a natural line of thought— activists literally do it in real life when they feel as if their cause isn’t getting enough attention (eg. setting themselves on fire). sejanus is a desperate character who is so selfless in light of snow’s constant self-preservation. snow will always put himself first and be paranoid that he will be betrayed like he’s betrayed others, so he never understands sejanus’ disposition to help and trust people, so he labels him dumb. omg. like. sejanus is so not-stupid i’m actually gonna start freaking out!! this is defamatory leave my boo alone!! plz go read a book and work on media literacy i am begging!!!

Billy:

Early on in your relationship, Billy noticed that you always seemed to be chewing on the skin of your lip or even your cheek or tongue. It seemed to be unconscious, a habit you'd likely picked up in childhood. Even your nails were bitten down to the nub, to the point where sometimes they would bleed.

Your lips were constantly raw too, and sometimes when he was a little too persistent about kissing you he would taste blood. He never said anything about it, unsure if you knew it was even a problem.

He began to try and help in little ways. At dinner when he noticed you doing it he'd bring a forkful of food to your lips. "Baby you've gotta try this bite." Like you said he'd get hard candy and make sure he had pocketfuls of them whenever he was around you. As not to make you feel subconscious, he'd pop one into his mouth too, sliding one into your fingers and holding your hand. Overall, he just doesn't want his girl to be hurting, and so he does his best to help you shake the habit.

Making this Academy era like you said :)

Coryo picks up on literally everything, especially when it comes to you. He notices how you constantly have to be biting on something. The most common recipient of this was your pencil, teeth marks abound in the soft wood. If it wasn't that, it was your soft lip drawn between your teeth, chewed red and raw and sometimes bloody.

During this time he doesn't have the means for much, but his grandmother does keep a drawer full of hard candies that aren't half bad. Coffee flavored; her favorite.

When you're in the library with him the next day, poring over your books for the next exam, he looks up and notices you absentmindedly biting your lip. Quietly, he says your name to make you look up, then brings his thumb to your lip, pulling it from your teeth. You blink at him, and then he presses a candy into your hand. "Have this instead."

The tiniest, sweetest smile comes over you, and he can't help his own, brushing a hand over your cheek. Nothing more is said about it because he knows you're a little embarrassed, but in your heart you're warmed by how much he cares.

Hehhe yep, cuz I wanna work on my character designs, and I didn’t wanna let the sc cast go, so I’m bringing them along my journey haha

The old designs are not bad, but the only thing I had in mind with them was “make them look cute”

Now I’m thinking more of “what can people tell about their character just by looking at them? make sure their work uniform correlates to their tactical position in the team, make their casual clothing reflect their personalities, and improve the placement of parts in their machinery”

this way I could work on improving while still being along side the silly little robots I love so dearly <33

Thinking about how throughout OUABH and TBONA Jacks is the only person who truly acts in Evangeline’s best interest.

Like Marisol, she doesn’t give a damn about Eva.

Chaos doesn’t want anything to happen to her because he needs her but also let’s them be hunted by vampire in OUABH, not to mention kills her eventually in TBONA.

Even Lala, who Evangeline considers a friend, curses her with the intent to cause harm to her. Like the Mirror Curse, Lala knew Apollo was dangerous after the Archers curse was placed on him. This also insured that Jacks couldn’t harm Apollo to protect Eva because he’d also be hurting Eva. She also gaslights Eva, telling her she’s only doing what she’s doing to reclaim her lost love from the Valory Arch. I understand that’s she’s a Fate who feels limited emotions, but her choosing to punish Eva for refusing to open the arch was extremely cruel.

Apollo her own husband, doesn’t care what happens to her. He’s aware of the Archers and Mirror Curse being placed upon him. He knows that every time he’s by Eva, that no matter how hard he tries fighting it he will still try to kill her. In TBONA, he sneaks into her bedroom at Chaos castle to try and sleep with her, claiming “he’s been waiting for so long” and kisses her and starts taking her clothes off. But guess what, the Archers curse kicks in and he’s now strangling his wife. He would’ve killed her if it wasn’t for Jacks intervention, but even when Jacks try’s taking her away, Apollo begins screaming from the cage “To get his hands off his wife, and not to touch her.” Instead of begin horrified of almost killing his wife he’s more jealous of Jacks saving her from being killed.

And sure Jacks has his own motives that he doesn’t tell her about. But at every given instance he’s protected her, he risked Turing into a vampire to keep her safe. He jumped off a cliff with her in his arms, (As a swimmer and a lifeguard this is extremely dangerous, especially oceans with carry strong riptides and currents, also please never cliff dive if you aren’t aware of what lord beneath) knowing that her not being able to swim could possibly kill him. He jumps anyways and swims back to shore with her in his arms. Not only that but he carry’s her back to the castle so she doesn’t cut her shoeless feet on the rocks. He constantly protects her, telling her he’d kill any one who dared hurt her. In the end he choose Eva’s safety over his feelings for her. He knew if he stayed with her he would’ve kissed her, believing it would’ve killed her. He’d rather be unhappy for the rest of his life without her than risk her safety.

In conclusion Jacks is the only character who truly cares about Eva and choose to protect her every single time.

Ok, so as I just created a Snowbaird prompt drop off, I'll be writing out some of the AUs ideas we came up with in the Snowbaird and Bread discord server! (If you'd like to join the server just send me a DMs and I'll provide an invite <3)

Starting off with:

the Hanahaki disease AU:

As per Canon, Coriolanus leaves the woods of 12 and makes his way back to the Capitol. But he starts coughing up flowers. Learning that the cause is Hanahaki disease, he sets out to find Lucy Gray, hoping to win her back and escape his impending doom - unfortunately for him, she isn’t so keen on forgiving him and trusting him again. Despite Coriolanus trying to hide it, she ends up learning of his condition, and is left feeling betrayed, thinking he only cares about saving himself, yet conflicted because the thought of him dying as in pain upsets her. As his condition deteriorates, he accepts his death- he sends Lucy Gray home, gives her enough money to support the Covey (possibly takes cares of the mayor problem as well); hoping this way she’ll at least have a good life after he’s gone - and it’s by being selfless that he finally wins her back. (Some elements can be changed but that is the outline we came up with!)
