For the requests post: w-winged au please... I'm forever obsessed with winged characters and it's always fun to play around with how wings match their personality/story

Like how Neuvilette probably has bat wings and that's extremely uncommon among humans but everyone in Fontaine is like 'hm, strange, but I guess it's a Iudex thing'

Or how Wrio has quite strong wings but never properly preens them until Sige or Neuv come around and help him

Also I'm thinking about Childe and how his wings look almost normal until it's mildly dark around and you see that they actually glow beneath the feathers in a Wrong Kind Of Purple light

Honestly I like them all but I prefer to draw SoS in the last time. It can depends of my mood and what colors I want to see in that second :D Pebbles is good for drawing when I think about acid colors.

wip wednesday - post eddie begins

finally dipping my toe into the 911 fandom! this one is actually almost done, so hopefully I can post in the next week or so 👀

“You care for him.” “Of course I do,” Buck says, gaze back on Eddie against his will. He squeezes Eddie’s hand again. “He’s my best friend.” “That’s not what I meant.” Bobby’s eyes are crinkled at the edges, a knowing look on his face when Buck looks at him this time, frozen. He blanches, heart stuttering in sudden panic. “I—I don’t—Bobby, it-it’s not like that—” “Woah, hey, it’s okay. Whether it is or isn’t like that, I’m glad you have each other,” he says. Buck blinks hard against the sudden sting in his eyes, takes a breath. “You had been pretty down since Abby. But since you and Eddie started hanging out, you seem…happier.” “Yeah, I…I guess I am,” Buck says, slow. And he has been, it’s undeniable. He’s always looking forward to time spent with Eddie, both at work and outside of it, and with both Eddie and Christopher. It’s easy with them, easier than anything else in the world. And…and it’s not that Buck hasn’t thought about Eddie in…less than platonic ways. Buck’s thought maybe a bit too much about the slant of Eddie’s eyebrows, the curve of his jaw, his fingers, the way his smile brightens Buck’s day each and every time he grins. And now he’s thought about losing him, and just what that would do to him. How it would be a wrecking ball straight through Buck’s life. Buck doesn’t know how he would even begin to pick up those pieces. Maybe…maybe it is a little like that. He’s at a loss for words, kneading Eddie’s palm between his fingers, thoughts churning in his skull. Bobby squeezes his shoulder, brings him back to the present. “You know I’ll have your back,” Bobby says softly, “whether you just stay friends, or decide on something more, I’ll support you both.” “I don’t think that’s in the cards,” Buck says. “With Shannon…it’s still too soon, but even then, I…I don’t know. I didn’t really consider it as an option. It might not be.” “Maybe not,” Bobby agrees, squeezing once more before pulling away. “But don’t count it out just yet.”

ANOTHER EXCERPT FROM A FIC ILL FINISH SOON EEEEEE

Peter shakes his head. “You know I love you, bug, right? A lot.”

“More than three thousand?”

“More than infinity,” he says. Morgan gasps, eyes going big. “I love you more than anything ever.”

Morgan wrinkles her nose. “Not as much as I love you!”

“Not possible, bug. You’re not going to win this one.” He leans in closer, drops his voice a little, “You know your mom and dad loved you a lot too, yeah?”

Her little face goes serious, lifting an even littler hand to grab his shirt. “I know, Petey.”

“Good. Now go get washed up for breakfast.” He sets her down on the floor and watches her race off for the bathroom.

He turns off the stove and is waiting for Morgan’s return when he hears a knock on the front door. Unusual, sure, but he assumes maybe it’s May or maybe MJ finally came round to try and knock some sense into him. It’s not that crazy.

He hears Morgan’s feet racing across the floor. “Morgan, wait a sec,” he tries, but he hears the door open anyways.

He rounds the corner and stops short.

Harley Keener is standing there in the doorway to the cabin with his stupid grin. Morgan’s propped on his hip, flannel bunching around her. His hair is fluffier than Peter remembers and his are bluer than they were in the dark fading light by the lake at the funeral. His jeans are ripped wide in the knees. He’s tan after spending the summer, Peter assumes, out in the Tennessee sun. At the funeral, he’d been pale and drained of all color from the rough day, but now he’s bronzed and grinning and eyes bright and in Peter’s doorway.

“Harley.”

“Harley!” Morgan agrees enthusiastically.

Harley’s grin widens and he bounces Morgan on his hip a few times before setting her down. “Hope this isn’t a bad time, figured it was about time for me to check in on my favourite kid.”

Do you think Lyss gets treated a little too harshly by the fandom? Her killing Christoph's blank seems to be the main bone of contention. But the thing is, there was no malice or hatred in that act; she genuinely believed it was the kindest thing to do for him. Though I also understand why that train of thought would trigger Rex. I hope the two of them get a chance to talk properly in the future for a chance at a reconciliation, and I have a feeling that Bell may be the key to that.

Ahaha. I actually literally...resist this topic on twitter because I have gone...on and on and on and on about how fucking cruel and unfair readers can be about Lyss. To the point that my readers that agree with me are probably even tired of hearing it by now haha.

I do think things got slightly better this season, but there are definitely a large handful of people who shit on Lyss if she so much as breathes. The level of hatred for her too is just...flat out disturbing sometimes too, and I think is kind of a reflection of the reader's character. I don't care that much if you just don't like her or think she's stupid but I have read too many (disturbingly descriptive) wishes for her to have violent death for me to have neutral opinions on Lyss.

Just to reiterate my opinions here, though... Yeah, I think people are incredibly unfair. The Christoph situation frustrates me especially because nobody seems to acknowledge Finze did the same thing to another blank and literally told her to do it. She was following his order. But there is 0 hate for Finze, even though he would have done the exact same thing in her situation.

However, I think the thing people actually hold most against her is her reporting Rex. Which... I also find unfortunately unfair. And I know a lot of my readers disagree with me haha. Like she's not stupid (despite what people think). Someone violently attacked her friend (Desmond) and even if he wasn't in control...that's kind of exactly the point. Rex wasn't in control. He could turn into this homicidal other personality and attack another person at any point. It's kind of like...if your drunk friend attacks someone while under the influence, are you just not going to report that? When you know there's a good chance they're going to get drunk and attack someone else?

Also the "dead or alive" sentence was incredibly unheard of in the context of the story (another point that a lot of people hold against her for not magically knowing would happen). A reminder that even a CRIME BOSS like Charlie was just basically just arrested and sent to a normal jail. They don't just kill blanks on site on average. They're just treated like criminals in our world and there are...not many instances where you can just go out and kill a wanted criminal. Like I dunno... Maybe that part was a fault in my writing... But the other parts I really think are unfair if you just...sit down and actually think about someone else's perspective for more than 10 seconds. I understand that's harder when we're viewing it mostly from Rex's (very hurt and upset) perspective, but a big theme in this story is that nobody is 100% right or wrong and everyone who thinks Rex is 100% justified and right is kind of missing a huge point.
