THRONE 👑
THRONE
Bring Me The Horizon
Remember the moment you left me alone and Broke every promise you ever made I was an ocean, lost in the open Nothing could take the pain away
So you can throw me to the wolves Tomorrow I will come back, leader of the whole pack Beat me black and blue Every wound will shape me, every scar will build my throne
The sticks and the stones that you used to throw have Built me an empire, so don't even try To cry me a river 'cause I forgive you You are the reason I still fight
So you can throw me to the wolves Tomorrow I will come back, leader of the whole pack Beat me black and blue Every wound will shape me, every scar will build my throne
So you can throw me to the wolves Tomorrow I will come back, leader of the whole pack Beat me black and blue Every wound will shape me, every scar will build my throne
I'll leave you choking on every word you left unspoken Rebuild all that you've broken, and now you know I'll leave you choking on every word you left unspoken Rebuild all that you've broken, and now you know Every wound will shape me, every scar will build my throne
So you can throw me to the wolves Tomorrow I will come back, leader of the whole pack Beat me black and blue Every wound will shape me, every scar will build my throne.

🎵+Megumi!!!!! >:) and itafushi!!! (You already know !!! <3 my precious guys fr) (you can also do Yuuji I would not be opposed at all)
ofc ofc i have giant playlists for all of these 🤞 as i should (i keep associating every song ever with them GUH)
for megumi <3
im on a big bring me the horizon kick rn, but doomed is so him especially rn, but honestly i'd say that he was already like this song To Me alas...some lyrics for ur consideration
and this from the special intro they do live that i didn't know existed until today
& then my personal hc, i think he would listen to green day🤞 boulevard of broken dreams tops his spotify wrapped every year (if you ask him abt it he's gonna say his fav is smth else so he doesn't seem like a fake fan for liking one of their most popular songs)
for yuuji <3
more bring me the horizon? well...yes. tell me throne is not THE yuuji song. lyrically at least.
except he is Not forgiving sukuna & i dont blame him for that.
for vibes, スマイリを探して (where is smiley) by serani poji bc well....
(my yuuji playlist gives me WHIPLASH)
for itafushi <3
i come to you with more bmth because follow you is the most itafushi song to ever have itafushied
UGH you cant even argue w that like that SO THEM every time i think abt it i turn into a PUDDLE
this is just an instrumental song but it's so beautiful and in my head i have made it into an itafushi song. you walk around...shining like the sun by hammock. dkjfghkf its so itafushi to me that it's featured in my itafushi fic where megumi plays guitar. i mean first there's the title. then there's the way it sounds...i believe i described it as a little sad and a little hopeful, but beautiful nonetheless T_T
thank u for the ask!!!! i will show off my character playlists at any chance (a lot of them are under construction but yk it forces me to construct them instead of letting them decay)

Favorite Track:
Unbeliever
Least favorite track:
Truth, Be Told
Album art opinions:
The album art features the Architects A with a crown of thorns wrapped around the character, making the cross section of the A. This is a callback to Hollow Crown, where the cover features the same thing, only with a medieval style crown. The crown of thorns here is clearly a reference to the biblical figure Jesus' crown of thorns he was said to have worn during his crucifixion. This matches the albums themes of the dark sides of religion and societal structure, making for a rather fitting cover.
Color: 4/10
Recognizability: 3/10
Vibes: 7/10
Total: 5/10
Music opinions/notes:
This album is an incredible upgrade following the previous, rather underwhelming album, The Here And Now. The riff writing is a lot more technical, the bass is punchy, the drums are energetic, and the vocals are significantly improved. Sam seems to have found his scream here and even gets low with it on These Colours Don't Run. The lyric work this time around is pretty solid, hitting some emotional notes without being worn out and even getting into the political side of things. There are some production issues here, with some moments sounding more like a wall of sound with the cymbals kind of overpowering everything than anything intelligible. Still, this is a very consistent, energetic, and dynamic album from front to back.
Mix: 4/10
Lyrics: 7/10
Instruments: 8/10
Vibes: 7/10
Total: 7/10
Total Score: 6/10

Save me from myself, save the world from me, either way, result's the same because there's too much grief running free. Crashing down and burning up, not much left of me after that all consuming we, but too much left to give up. Broken pieces, jagged feelings, too sharp for pain and too dull to hurt. Claw this goddess from her lying throne and save this poor sinner from the saints, but not a chance for deliverance from those old haints.
Love me if I'm wrong, but you already showed me how that goes, didn't you? Empty dreams and shadowed oath chained by words and smoke and all for what these pieces of mine, a shattered heart still breaking in time? So near the edge and so far from safe and begging for an end but trying to wait. Tenacity, temerity, temporality, temporarily, temperately, sounds sliding slowly to ticking timely transience.
It all ends before it begins, sabotage or prophecy or pessimism or printings of pain.
Don't leave me here, but dear gods, go on. You can't save me and I don't know how to save myself. Maybe not everyone can be saved, world burning and screaming and dying and me, counting down slowly to a quieter closing. Miss me, maybe? Not too much, I want you to smile, I want you to move on. Just like me. No, not just like me. Better than me. Drop it where it belongs and fling forward, flying free and weightless into the brightest blue just barely kissed by the storms you know I love.
This isn't goodbye, if you're reading this, it's goodbye if you're not. To all the tomorrows that should have been and could have been and meant so much, misted by malicious machinations and baffled by barbaric bureaucracy. Not poetry, not prose, something in between, a liminal lyric for a between being coveting clawed creatures and greedy for grinning girls and guys and goblin, hoping hate heaves heartily out the door.
Tomorrow needs me, maybe, even if I don't want it. Maybe the river flows to the sea and broad horizons can bring home to me.

Day two of Horizon Base Jams, the single artist playlist!
I chose the Killers — again, very predictable — because there's just something about their discography that hits that perfect desert scrubland vibe that comprises so much of the Horizon landscape.
As for the theme of the playlist, I was very very self indulgent again and picked a song from each of their albums (excluding Pressure Machine) that has that good old Avad/Aloy energy. Explanations for the choices under the cut!
First up, All These Things That I've Done! I pictured this as a call-and-response kind of song between the two of them, particularly the bridge. Of course, there are a few lines here and there that I immediately pinned to one or the other; "Another head aches, another heart breaks // I'm so much older than I can take" for Avad and "I want a meaning from the back of my broken hand // And my affection, well it comes and goes" for Aloy.
Second, Bones! I feel like this one more for Aloy, trying to figure out her feelings and come to terms with the fact that it's okay for her to feel so strongly about something that's not her mission to save the world.
A Dustland Fairytale is more vibes than anything; "A change came in disguise of revelation, set his soul on fire" and "Oh, don't you know, the kingdom's under seige // and everybody needs you" really strike that H:ZD-era Avaloy for me though.
Sweet Talk in the context of this playlist is definitely an Avad song; it brings to mind the weight of his position and his dreams of freedom from it even though he knows he can't leave the throne behind anytime soon.
Deadlines and Commitments is the true heart and soul of the playlist. Sung from Avad's point of view, it's melancholy and soft, gently imploring (If you should ever tire // Or if you should require // A sudden, simple twist of fate) this warrior to care for herself as well as the world and letting her know that wherever he is (I'll catch you darling // I'll be waiting // I am on your side), there's a place for her there too if she wants it. (If you should fall upon hard times // If you should lose your way // There is a place here in this house // That you can stay). Honestly, all the lyrics are just perfect for them, it's really hard to pick which to highlight!
Life To Come is an emotional high point; it has the energy of an Aloy who's figured herself and how she feels out (I didn't see this comin', I admit it // But if you think I'll buckle, forget it) and is ready to see where those emotions lead her — and she's inviting Avad to come along with her. It'll be hard and they'll stumble along the way (I know it ain't a cake walk // Let go of the blame // Have a little faith in me, girl) because she's never done anything quite like this before, but with the two of them she's more than confident they can work it out together (I know sometimes you think that I regret it // But I don't remember stumblin' when I said it // I told you that I'd be the one // I was talkin 'bout the life to come).
My God is for that post-NEMESIS moment of relief and victory — they've triumphed over this impossible foe together, and while there will always be work to be done, here and now they can rejoice in the fact that all the hard work of bringing the tribes together has finally paid off. "Don't talk to me about forgiveness // My God, just look who's back in business // That weight we lugged around, it has been made light // I'm at the top of my lungs // 'Cause big love cannot be understated // Don't push, control is overrated // I know that if we stick together // My God, it's like the weight has been lifted."
... and that's all for tonight, folks! Thanks for reading all the way through, and stay tuned for tomorrow's playlist (most likely also posted very very late lmao)

Bring Me The Horizon - That’s The Spirit (Review)
Bring Me The Horizon’s 2015 hit That’s The Spirit is a masterclass in atmosphere and cohesion. The consistently muddied instrumentation cut through with perfect clarity in the vocals provides an unmatched sense of immersion, in an alien quality present for the entire album. Bring Me The Horizon is at their commercial peak on That’s The Spirit, and for good reason. The record was self-produced by keyboardist Jordan Fish, (what an excellent name) considering an external producer unnecessary.
While a lot of unconventional decisions were made in the production process, the critical reception was met with universal acclaim, citing That’s The Spirit as their most conventionally appealing album. Having moved away from their direct metalcore roots, That’s The Spirit leans more into alternative rock, with great success.
Track-by-track below the cut.
TRACK 1 - DOOMED
The record opens with a track that perfectly sets the stage for the rest of the album. The cold and deep sound immediately makes its presence known, providing a sense of isolation that will stay present for the rest of the album. Doomed arguably sounds overproduced, with a heavy filtering present on just about everything. I don’t consider this a negative, though; the album was made with the concept of our darkest moods in mind, but in a context making light of them. The pushy production carries a disorienting atmosphere, and stops you from feeling quite too close to the vocals.
This is an opening track done right, functioning almost as a macrocosm of the record as a whole. All of the elements heard here will be expanded on in later songs. 7/10.
TRACK 2 - HAPPY SONG
This is the closest thing That’s The Spirit has to a title track, with the album title being repeated as a lyric over and over. We leave the murky comfort of Doomed behind, to an instant rolling nu metal riff. This is where the themes of making light out of our darkness are most visible; the lyrics and sound are distinctly moody, but the sampled cheering and the title itself contrast it in a sick sense. Oli Sykes’ vocals are firing on all cylinders here, with a wide dynamic range of nu metal fry and gorgeous clarity. The chorus is ethereal, and the verses are all intimate and up-close, through the haze of the production.
Every moving part in Happy Song just works. The use of children’s voices are perfect for the bleak sarcasm the track champions. 10/10, There’s gonna be a lot of those.
TRACK 3 - THRONE
Throne is the most familiar track on the album to previous fans. The atmosphere and vocal techniques are reminiscent of their previous album, Sempiternal, but with a distinctly That’s The Spirit aspect to their production. The lyrics are powerful and motivating, second only to the way they’re delivered. If this song resonates with you, it resonates hard. The synth lines prop up Sykes’ performance, and the choice of making the bassline only occasionally present really heightens the feeling of rising from the ashes. The verses are somewhat subdued, with only the drums and keyboard being noticeable; but as soon as the pre-chorus steps up, bassist Matt Kean absolutely drowns the track in a wave of sound that feels triumphant and swelling. I believe every lyric of Throne, in no small part due to how powerful the production feels.
I can only say “this is atmosphere done right” so many times. 10/10.
TRACK 4 - TRUE FRIENDS
The choice to open the song with the isolated motif from the chorus is inspired, and serves to amplify every other aspect of the song when it comes in after. The delivery sets up an expectation for angry, crashing vocals, which makes the soft tone on the first verse a pleasant subversion. By this point on the record, though, we should know that won’t last very long. The sound storms in with every intention to make itself known, with a classical influence in the primary instrumental motif. The title line of “true friends stab you in the front” is poignant and even a little amusing, once again carrying the bleak comedy theme of the album. The instrumental cuts out occasionally to emphasize the chorus, and it’s an excellent effect. The breakdown near the end of the second minute is a highlight.
It’s crazy how on any other album all of these songs would be a ten. 8/10.
TRACK 5 - FOLLOW YOU
The more heavy-handed production is at its most noticeable in Follow You, with several elements in the mix that are immediately “not an instrument” sounds. I have nothing but praise for the vocals across the entire album, but this might be one of their best. The layering and tuning feels intimate and personal, but not enough that the alt-rock shouting feels startling or out of place. Much like in Doomed, we get another look at his higher vocal register and how perfectly it fits the alternative rock nu metal fusion of That’s The Spirit. I wouldn’t leave this song to anybody else. The instrumentals all across the record are stellar, but the vocals are in a league of their own.
The lyrics are really cute, too. 9/10.
TRACK 6 - WHAT YOU NEED
I’ve been waiting for this one ever since I started my review. It’s not the star of the album, but man is it fun. The bassline is infectious, the vocals are catchy, and the lead guitar follows them both perfectly. The punchy delivery on the verses has a gnarly contrast with the strong projection in the chorus, and the one-man choir within. In any other song, the verses would be an incredibly strong highlight, but unfortunately one part of this track overshadows every other (masterfully done) aspect. The bridge in What You Need is my second favourite section on the entire album, dwarfed only by a passage two songs from now. The “Hell Yeah” refrain is perfect, and the solo following it is overwhelmingly cool.
Pure adrenaline in here, I wouldn’t want it any other way. 10/10.
TRACK 7 - AVALANCHE
Avalanche is the closest That’s The Spirit comes to an honest confrontation of its themes. There’s no attempt at black comedy, no shred of resigned sarcasm. The screaming vocals feel less powerful, and more desperate. This is the bleakest track on the record, and I’m glad it’s here to balance out the themes. The lyrics are on the repetitive side, which takes away a little from the ranking, but this song needed to be on the album somewhere. The instrumental is still as strong as ever, and despite its serious tone the song doesn’t feel like a downer.
There’s not too much to say on here. The fade-out at the end is a highlight for sure. 7/10
TRACK 8 - RUN
Remember when I said the What You Need bridge is second only to one passage two songs from it? The intro to Run is atmosphere perfected, with “ten thousand voices fill my broken lungs” being one of my favourite lyrics ever put to song. Run is all-encompassing, enveloping, just short of drowning. The sound is full and complete, almost an amalgamation of every individual note as one seething mass. The production is stellar, the composition is stellar, the vocal delivery is stellar. The song is an ode to the desire for teenagers to run away and make their own place in life, with undertones that might point to a darker interpretation.
Highlight of the album. 10/10.
TRACK 9 - DROWN
Again, a masterfully presented intro. The overproduced sound of what seems to be a chanting crowd feels almost eerie and unnatural, but not in an uncomfortable way. Drown exemplifies the sense of isolation and intimacy That’s The Spirit has been balancing all along, and it does so seamlessly. Like Avalanche, Drown feels like an honest confession and a cry for help, free of any sarcasm or humour. The lyrics detail a desire to keep going, but not the energy to make that plausible. “Who will make me fight? [...] You know that I can’t do this on my own." The bridge ends with the same massive crowd the intro opens with, but the final vocals from Oli Sykes are isolated and vulnerable.
Gorgeous production. 10/10
TRACK 10 - BLASPHEMY
This is the most explicit rock on the album. There’s not much in the way of hazy production or vulnerable, quiet vocals. Blasphemy shrugs off the precedent of the record in favour of a massive arena rock sound, easily the most commercial song on the record, with catchy hooks and a simple throughline riff. I don’t think this is a bad thing, though. The short but soaring solo at the end of the second minute is a highlight, and the sound only keeps ramping up with a stomping hook as soon as it moves out of the way. The delivery on this track is spitting and spiteful, and a breath of fresh air if you don’t like the murky sound on the rest of the album
There’s a time and a place for subversion, and I think near the end was a great place to put this. 9/10.
TRACK 11 - OH NO
This is such a perfect closing track. Completely stepping away from the sounds we’ve been acquainted with so far, Oh No has a thrumming synthetic beat in the back of the sound that makes it feel like a party jam. Once again, choral chanting is used in the mix, and it makes Oh No feel epic in scale. The infectious pop hooks and commercially appealing lyrics make the track feel like a true send-off to That’s The Spirit, not a goodbye so much as a celebration that it happened. The song is fundamentally upbeat pop, but the lyrics are still somber and sentimental. This feels very 2015.
...sorry, was that just a saxophone solo? This was going to be a 9, but I guess i can spare another 10/10.
RETROSPECTIVE
Ranking That’s The Spirit was always going to be intrinsically difficult for me, because of how many songs on it I consider to be near-perfect. If you dropped the lowest ranking in here into the middle of most other albums, it would probably get a nine at the lowest. The vocals are a standout performance all the way through, but they never feel like they’re overshadowing the intricate composition behind them. Every song feels deliberately placed to create the most cohesive experience you can get.
Overall, this is one of my 10/10s.

'Can You Feel My Heart' is perhaps the most significant piece of music that Bring Me The Horizon has ever created. The song was released on 8th October 2013 as the fourth and final single from the studio album 'Sempiternal'. It was written by singer Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia and keyboardist Jordan Fish who wasn't even officially a part of the band at that time in 2012. Jordan had a major role in overall creation and writing of the song and officially joined the band in 2013. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJJYpsA5tv8 Jordan's addition had a very direct impact on the creation of their music going further. The electronic element was missing in their earlier music. Jordan filled the gap and elevated their music to a different level altogether. The overall flow was much better and the rhythm was greatly improved. I was not much of a fan of their music prior to the 'Sempiternal' album. Most of their songs before 2012 felt like them screaming with no aim whatsoever and just making random noises if I were to be brutally honest. However, this song changed the way that I viewed the band and I also liked some of their other songs produced afterwards like 'Throne' for example which was also a very good song. Song Meaning Oliver Sykes spoke about the meaning behind the song. The song was about admitting that one has a problem and it is about realizing that in order to move forward, one has to admit and acknowledge that there is something wrong. Can You Feel My Heart' is all about admittance, admitting you have a problem and admitting something's wrong, that's the first step of the whole album. In my life, I had to admit certain things to go further. They all deal with different topics. Oliver Sykes The song gives a glimpse of what the person is going through. Often times, we deal with problems that are not known to other people. No one apart from ourselves realize the problems we are having. The lyrics talk about one feeling despair and hopelessness. It seems like no one can fully understand our problems and that we are alone in our battles. Through the lyrics 'Can You Hear The Silence, can you see the dark, can you fix the broken and can you feel my heart' the singer is pointing to the fact that rarely can people recognize what one is going through, and many times the solution for problems lies within us only. These issues often affect our relationships with people. One may feel lost or a sense of confusion while connecting with other people. This often times results in people isolating themselves even when they don't like being lonely. It is important to realize one's problems and admit them so that one can resolve them. The song encourages us to push forward because there is always light at the end of the tunnel. It is about realizing that everyone is going through problems and one has to face one's challenges and overcome them to move forward in life. That was my take on the song. Let me know your opinions in the comments below.

top 10 songs of january
welcome to a new year.
1. 3 Strikes by Terror Jr
this song became my fav very rapidly. I heard it on tiktok in the background of a video. it has such an interesting vibe.
2. Azon Az Éjszakán by Zaporozsec
another hungarian masterpiece. if you give it a chance and listen to it, you'll soon learn that it's a translation/rewrite of Tom Odell's Another love. I was listening to that song non-stop for years and remembered this one existed on a random freezing morning.
3. Reményszenzorok by Téveszme
THIS SONG. this is actually the best song ever. the. best. song. I love the lyrics, I love the vibe, I love the rythm. I love Téveszme. can't wait for the upcoming concerts.
4. The Sadness Will Never End by Bring Me The Horizon, Sam Carter
"I won't give up on you
these scars won't tear us apart
so don't give up on me
it's not too late for us
I'll save you from yourself"
I couldn't fully understand this song until I found my boyfriend & I'm happy I found hope again.
5. Panic Room by Au/Ra
I am in an Alice Oseman era. this song puts me right back into the excitement of the Heartstopper series. I adore this girl and the world she created for us.
6. Bányák by PETOFI, Kovács Gábor
"hidd el én egyre mélyebbre ások, de nem több rohadó húsnál amit találok"
lyrical geniuses, that's who are in these hungarian bands. I love poetry and listening to these songs feel just like reading the prettiest poems that break your heart in such a complex way that they even heal you by the end of the song.
7. Három lapát a vén szélmalmon by Téveszme
we attended a party that was organised by one of my bf's childhood friends. we are from the same place, knew a few of them so it truly felt like coming home when we all started singing these songs.
8. Throne by Bring Me The Horizon
BMTH seems to never fade away from my playlists. I am deeply connected to the songs. I spent most of my teenage days listening to these songs on full blast (maybe that's the reason hearing in my right ear is not the greatest lol).
9. Holding on to You by Twenty One Pilots
tøp is on my list again. I've been listening to them back when I turned 16 and I believe this band helped me to get out of a long-long phase of derealization. it resulted in me getting real depressed so I didn't touch their music again until now. I feel like it's strangely a safe place for me.
10. listen when i'm gone by Jack Powell
I'm needing less and less sad songs nowadays but sometimes it still helps me to feel all of my feelings and get into the right headspace. I love this one so much.

Fall Out Boy
with Bring Me the Horizon, Royal & The Serpent and Daisy Grenade
June 27, 2023
Third time seeing Fall Out Boy. Second time seeing Bring Me The Horizon
The day started with just me going alone to the Woodlands Mitchell Wood Pavilion. I decided to ask Cody Hollis to go with me and Id spot his ticket. I’m glad he ended up coming. This might have been our 4th or 5th concert together.
We showed up just in time to listen to The Serpent, a female singer band. I love listening to female singers in a rock band! They even played “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.
Bring Me The Horizon was the next band to play. It was such a surreal experience seeing them the first time at Rockville all those years ago! They are the 2nd best performance I have ever seen behind Foo Fighters. I had that convo with Cody that night about how those two performances impacted me. This performance was good however I can do without them making us sing the lyrics. They put the S-P-I-R-I-T in “Happy Song”. They played “Drown” and of course “Throne”. It was such a thrilling experience.
Fall Out Boy played last of course. They played a few from their new album, So Much For Stardust. “Dance, Dance”, “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down”, etc. It was a splendid time. “Thnks fr th Mmrs”.

THRONE - Bring Me The Horizon
Lyrics
Remember the moment you left me alone and Broke every promise you ever made I was an ocean, lost in the open Nothin' could take the pain away
So you can throw me to the wolves Tomorrow I will come back Leader of the whole pack Beat me black and blue Every wound will shape me Every scar will build my throne
The sticks and the stones that you used to throw have Built me an empire, so don't even try To cry me a river, 'cause I forgive you You are the reason I still fight
So you can throw me to the wolves Tomorrow I will come back Leader of the whole pack Beat me black and blue Every wound will shape me Every scar will build my throne
So you can throw me to the wolves Tomorrow I will come back Leader of the whole pack Beat me black and blue Every wound will shape me Every scar will build my throne
I'll leave you choking On every word you left unspoken Rebuild all that you've broken And now you know (know) I'll leave you choking On every word you left unspoken Rebuild all that you've broken And now you know Every wound will shape me Every scar will build my throne
So you can throw me to the wolves Tomorrow I will come back Leader of the whole pack Beat me black and blue Every wound will shape me Every scar will build my throne

Hey! I love your fics, and I have a question. Your post on music classes got me thinking. What are your favorite bands? Also, do you have any songs you assign to certain characters or ships? Have a great day!
ahhh hiii thank you so much :D and thank you for the ask !!
i actually have a pretty long itafushi playlist and an even longer megumi playlist (//ω//) but here are some of my favs/the ones i associate with them most ! like top 3 or we'll be here forever, apologizing in advance for how long this is 🚶
itafushi songs :3
follow you by bring me the horizon is THE itafushi song for me like
the whole song is them actually but that part just ksfjhgksghf anyway another big one for me is dreams of losing teeth by suave punk which kinda talks about a person who tends not to let themselves get close to others starting to feel attached to someone and IF THAT'S NOT MEGUMI TO YUUJI than i've misunderstood itafushi but i dont think i have 😶 and my third itafushi song is making faces by dream, ivory which is about lovers who struggle to be vulnerable with each other and trying to bridge that gap in communication (>﹏<) some lyrics
alright....megumi songs :3
the biggest megumi song for me will always be moon, i already know by mount eerie because i wrote a fic about that! and also just the lyrics....
hes just a kid :(((((((((( im SICK okay um before i go insane next song! half return by adrianne lenker the whole song is sooo devastating it just dgkhjhld the whole song reminds me of how megumi had to grow up way too fast :( like he barely had any childhood :( but this part specifically reminds me of him and toji....
"honey in your mouth when you gave me my name" UR KIDDING ME anyway last song perhaps the most devastating (i love to make myself sad if u couldnt tell) painfully by fog lake no words just look at these lyrics
anyway!! i have less developed playlists for yuuji and also yuuta, so i'll give a song for each of them too!
for yuuji: throne by bring me the horizon (really funny to see next to the bubbly kpop/jpop songs)
for yuuta: back to the old house by the smiths
in terms of my fav artists, my music taste is a bit all over the place, but my favs rn are dream, ivory, the stone roses (specifically their song i wanna be adored, i've barely listened to anything else in days), and deftones, but i basically listen to anything and everything :3
thank u for the ask!! and sorry for yapping sm omg
#i've been saying i want to share my itafushi/megumi playlists for so long#i just never have#bc What If Someone Thinks I'm Wrong

What You Need
Album art opinions:
The digital release of this album features a white umbrella with four raindrops on a black background, while the physical releases feature the albums title in black on a black background, while the inner parts of the physical release are very colorful, meaning to show that you have to look for the color/happiness even in the darkest of times. The umbrella on the digital release has a similar meaning: when it's raining get out your umbrella and carry on.
Color: 4/10
Recognizability: 7/10
Vibes: 9/10
Total: 7/10
Music opinions/notes:
This album is nothing short of anthemic. Jordan took his production style from the previous record and improving on it and giving each song its own identity. The use of string sections, 808s and other pop sounds, and even using Oli's voice as a synthesizer really brings the songs alive. Oli was still learning how to sing during the recording process of this and Sempiternal, but every song on this album is a lot more focused on clean singing. While the instrumentals are a bit more basic this time around, they still serve the songs greatly.
Mix: 10/10
Lyrics: 9/10
Instruments: 7/10
Vibes: 8/10
Total: 8/10
Total Score: 8/10

Survey #446
“so you can throw me to the wolves / tomorrow i will come back, leader of the whole pack”
Favourite cheese? American. Superman or Batman? I know literally nothing of Superman, but I like Batman. Who are your best friends? The only person I consider a best friend is Sara. Name the 3 most important people in your life: My mom, Sara, and... I suppose myself since I cherish my mental health VERY deeply. Are you currently learning from anyone how to play any instruments? No. Do you know anyone who is overly flirty with people? Girl or a boy? In my personal opinion, yes. I do believe it's possible to be "overly" flirty, considering you can really lead people on. It's a she. Do you believe vampires are real? Not the stereotypical Twilight kind. No. Have you ever been to a porn website? Were you addicted to it afterword? No. I'm really not into that. What is the most disgusting thing you think the opposite sex can do? I think the most disgusting thing anyone can do is commit rape. Would you rather be able to teleport or freeze time? Which one seems best? I feel teleportation is obviously more convenient and useful in dangerous situations. Have you seen the movie Twister? Did the tornadoes look real to you? LKJFL;AKSDJFKLASJDLFKA;WE NOOOOOOOOOO. I am WAY too terrified of tornadoes to watch that. Have you actually been through a devastating natural disaster before? Hurricane Floyd was pretty devastating. I was too young to really remember it, though. Did your mom ever fix your eggs and bacon into a smiley face as a kid? She probably did. What fast food place, in your opinion, has the best french fries? BOJANGLE'S, AHHHHHHHHHHHH. Do you believe one day aliens might take over the planet Earth? I mean, it's possible, but I don't know. Do you remember when they used to actually throw candy out at parades? I didn't know they stopped. Does it bother you when people burp around you or do you do it too? I couldn't possibly care less, it's a natural bodily function. Just because of societal standards though, I don't burp in public, though, but only around family and close friends. What is one kind of music you’d do anything to not listen to in the car? Anything like rap that has a STUPIDLY loud bass that just annoys everyone within a ten mile radius. When was the last time you babysat, if ever? Did anything bad happen? A year or two ago, for my nephew. No one else was free to watch him, so I had no choice. Nothing bad happened, besides nearly having a panic attack. Do you ever talk to people you met online through webcam? Or is that weird? No. Even Sara and I don't do it, because I'm too self-conscious of how I look. Even though she's seen me plenty before irl. Would you ever consider becoming a scientist? Why would you or why not? Well, I majored in biology briefly... I wanted to be a wildlife biologist. I just adore animals and thought I could do it. I just couldn't handle school. When is the next time you’ll talk to the cousin you’re closest to? I'm not especially close to any of my cousins. Are you really into vintage things? Have you ever been into that stuff? Yessss! is writing something that you enjoy doing? Definitely. Would you rather read or write? Write. Would you rather draw or take photographs? If I wind up being very proud of the product, I prefer drawing, but I take pictures far more. When was the last time you cheated at something? I have no clue. Has anyone ever copied off of your homework assignments? I think so? Do you have any pictures of celebs saved to your computer? ... *stares at my folder labelled "Mark"* What would you consider your favorite holiday? Why is this? Christmas. I love the whole vibe of it. The weather, the smells, the treats, my niece's and nephew's excitement... I adore all the lights and decorations, the gratefulness for family and your loved ones in general... I just love Christmas. If you’re a girl, do you have big hips? Too big? I'd say my hips are normal. Girls, do you think you look good in dresses or not? God no. Not anymore. Have you ever taken a pottery class before? Nope. How many times have you seen Star Wars? Be honest. Once. I didn't like it. Has your best friend ever made you cry? Yes. But in her defense, we've both made the other cry. Have you ever entered a talent competition? God no, I ain't got shit to flaunt. Are you smiling in your Facebook profile picture? Yes. If you wear eye shadow, do you put on a dark colour or a light? And if you wear mascara, what colour is it? I only ever wear black for both of those. What is your favourite Christmas movie? Jim Carrey's How the Grinch Stole Christmas. What do you get complimented on the most? My Markiplier tattoo, actually. What do you think of your best friend’s ex? One I REALLY don't like, the other I'm neutral about. Are you biracial? No. Do you have Pop-Tarts in your house right now? No. We try to not buy them, given they're just TOTALLY empty calories. They don't fill me at all. Is anyone’s birthday coming up? No. Does/did either of your parents serve in the military? No. Do you like sour candy? I LOVE sour candy. Where would you like to go on your honeymoon? Alaska, to see the Northern Lights. Do you usually wear sunglasses when you’re driving? I haven't driven in well over a year. Hell, maybe two. But no, because I'd need prescription sunglasses. Ignoring nutrition, could you live off veggies for the rest of your life? God no. Has anyone taken their shirt off in front of you? Yeah. What time do you usually have dinner? 5:30-6:30, usually. What’s your favourite meat? Chicken, I think. What is your favourite meal of the day and why? Breakfast. I just enjoy breakfast foods. What colour is your shampoo? White. Tell me a silly little old wive’s tale you believed when you were a child: My older sister got me to believe that if you said a word a ridiculous amount of times, it'd be the only word you knew how to say anymore, lmao. Shut up, I was little. What was the last magazine you bought? Do you subscribe to any? I don't buy magazines. Whose Facebook profile did you last look at? Was there anything that caught your attention? Uh, that's a good question. Do you regret your last relationship? Not at all. What’s better, mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes? Mashed potatoes, though I'm picky with them and the texture. Did you ever used to make cookies, cakes, or pie with your grandma? No. Do you like kids? Not especially. They ask too many questions and can be really rude, even though I know they usually don't mean to be. What are you listening to? I'm watching Gab Smolders play Dino Crisis 2. I finished her playthrough of Final Fantasy X, so now I feel a void in my soul that I am trying to fill with a new series lmao. Do you burn incense? Not really anymore. I'm not against it, I just... haven't. What is your favorite kind of cracker? Cheese-Itz. Can you name a single song by Billy Joel without looking it up? Yeah; I can name a few, actually. My dad loves Billy Joel, so I heard him a lot growing up. "Piano Man" is a classic. Do you like regular peppermint candy canes, or do you prefer different flavored ones [fruits, bubble gum, cinnamon, etc.]? I actually really like the Jolly Rancher ones. Have you ever been kissed while sitting atop the hood of a car? That's actually possible... but I'm not sure. I think I have a faint memory of lying on a car hood with Jason before. What do you think is the dumbest/tackiest piercing? I don't like calling a piercing either of those, like if they make someone feel more confident and attractive, good for them. I can say I'm personally not a fan of the smiley piercing, though. Have you ever requested a song on the radio? No. When I was a kid at a birthday party, though, one of the girls did. Does your mother still take care of you if you get ill? She helps a lot, yeah. What is one song that always brings back memories every time you hear it? Honestly, too many. I attach way too aggressively to songs. Do you currently have any pimples? Not currently, no. Did anything disturb your sleep at all last night? Ugh, yes. I couldn't sleep for shit. How does it make you feel looking at pics with your ex and someone else? I have only seen one picture of Jason with the girl he dated after me and it. Set. Me. On. Fucking. Fire. It's pathetic. If you’re not in college, why? All it did was give me emotional breakdowns. What do you think about MTV? I am way too out of the loop on what goes on on any TV channel to answer this. What was your very first day of your very first job like? What’d you do? How long did it take you to get the hang of it, and feel comfortable with working? This was waaaay too long ago... All I remember is actually being hopeful, though nervous. I never got to the point of feeling comfortable there. Or at any job. If you have a dog, are they friendly to strangers or other dogs? We don't have a dog, but we do have a cat that is EXTREMELY skittish around strangers. Someone he doesn't know comes through the door? He's bolting to hide. Do people ever comment on or joke about your driving? Well, I got flipped off once by a driver, so... I'd consider that a silent comment. I, to this day, don't know why they (it was a group of guys) did it, but it's stuck with me. What was the last thing to move you? Are you easily moved or inspired? The ending of FFX alsdkfjkaljlkwjer. And yes. If you`ve ever seen your very favorite band, did you cry when you saw them? Was it like a dream come true? If you`ve never seen them, do you think you would? I haven't, but I probably would a little bit. Of all the reality competitions you’ve watched, who are some of your all-time favorite contestants and what shows were they from? From America's Got Talent, I adore(d) Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., as well as Prince Poppycock. I keep up with them both on Facebook. Ever had a friend named Alex or John? One of my closest online friends was Alex. A couple years ago she just... got a boyfriend and fell off the face of the earth. Are you happy with your relationship status? I mean... no, I'm ridiculously lonely, but being single is for the best right now. What kind of stuff do you like on your hot dogs? Just ketchup and mustard. Have you ever been in a spelling bee? No. What is the most annoying thing that your parents do? Mom absolutely always assumes she's right. Dad repeats himself like CRAZY. Would you say you’re someone who has good manners? Yes. Did you parents know what gender you were before you were born? Actually, the doctors couldn't determine mine (or any of Mom's kids') because my legs were ALWAYS crossed when they did ultrasounds. Mom says she "knew" I was a girl, though. Have you ever been addicted to something unhealthy? I'm addicted to caffeine, yes. Who makes the best desserts in your entire family? Hm, I dunno. Do you have good dreams or nightmares more? I have very severe sleep apnea that results in very violent nightmares almost any time I sleep without my APAP mask. Even WITH the damn mask, I have them a lot. When was the last time someone insulted you? What was the insult? *shrug* Do you have trouble reading small fonts? Yes. I used to find it aesthetically pleasing, but my vision is just too bad now, even with my (shitty) glasses. Do you know anybody that believes that magic/witchery truly exists? I think so. Do you find watching animals in their natural habitat to be exciting & fascinating? Absolutely!! The last time you had sex: did you want it, or did the other person want it? ... You know it's supposed to be a mutual desire, right?? What does your sibling(s) call you? "Britt." Has anyone you’ve known claimed to be psychic? Maybe? I'm unsure. Did/do you believe them? Hell no. I don't believe in psychics and believe people who claim to be so are manipulative pieces of shit. Is anything annoying you right now? I am bored to an inexplicable level askldjfla;wejlr. Have you ever worn a pair of scrubs? Yeah. Anything in your room that you’re hiding from your parents or someone else? No. Have you ever felt abandoned? Well yes. By definition, my dad abandoned our family. Where are you? I’m in my bed. What’s been the worst part of this day? I've just been so, so bored. I'm sick and fucking tired of dealing with anhedonia. Who last encouraged you to better yourself? My therapist.
