trees
lyric breakdowns and relating them to richardxwed.
(the verses in italics are repeated, just ignore them.)
trees by twenty one pilots
i tried to keep the apostrophe for every word out because they always get fucked on tumblr.
“I know where you stand Silent in the trees And that's where I am Silent in the trees.”
i can not really put too much detail into this because it is all kind of obvious. to me, i think this is theo singing to bella back when he was dead. before he ever interacted with her as a ghost, if you would even call it that. by saying “i know where you stand, silent in the trees” he is basically just giving us a setting. she is silent because of the state of depression and loneliness, and she is in the trees, or the woods, because she can be alone in nature. another idea is that maybe the cemetery where theo belonged was near the woods. “and that’s where I am, silent in the trees” now he is letting us know (by us I mean whoever is listening) that he is there with her, but he is silent so as not to let her know of her presence.
“Why won't you speak Where I happen to be? Silent in the trees Standing cowardly.“
the first line could mean a couple things, they all make sense. he could literally be asking why she is not talking, maybe he just wants to hear her voice, or know what she is thinking. or maybe he just wants to know why she is not happy. he is standing cowardly in the trees because he is too scared to say anything, to see her reaction, to be punished later in hell, etc.
“I can feel your breath. I can feel my death. I want to know you. I want to see. I want to say hello.”
when he says he can feel her breath and his death, he could be saying that she is so real in front of him, that she is so close to him. but yet, he is dead, he can not talk to her, touch her, he can not be with her like he would if he were alive. it only makes him realize how bad the situation he is in really is. he wants to say hello, to let her know that he is there, to tell her everything, but he can not.
I know where you stand Silent in the trees And that's where I am Silent in the trees.
Why won't you speak Where I happen to be? Silent in the trees Standing cowardly. I can feel your breath. I can feel my death. I want to know you. I want to see. I want to say hello.

Lyric Breakdown
Lyric Breakdowns and Relating Them to RichardxWed.
(The verses in italics are just repeated, ignore them.)
Wild by Troye Sivan.
So I’ve decided not to pick my lyric breakdowns all the time. For the first time in history, Marissa used shuffle play to make a decision! Basically, how it works is I shuffle all the songs on my phone, and then randomly select one of my four children. From there I try to break the song down and try to alter it to the point where I can forcefully make it relate to said kid. The first song is Wild by Troye Sivan, and the first character is Bella. I feel like this one is going to be fairly easy, but idk man. NEVERMIND I TAKE IT BACK
“Trying hard not to fall On the way home You were trying to wear me down, down Kissing up on fences and up on walls On the way home I guess it's all working out, now"
This was a really bad idea. I have no idea how to do this. OKAY. “Trying hard not to fall on the way home.” We’re just gonna take this somewhat literal because Bella is emotionally unstable, therefore, she needs someone to lift her up and make sure she doesn’t fall. “You were trying to wear me down, down.” Well since this song is Bella narrating, she’s clearly addressing Theo as “you.” But Theo doesn’t try to damage her... so. But then again, Bella is a bit fucked up in the head so maybe she’s jumping between the past and present tense, imagination, and reality, etc. It's likely that while Theo was dead she had this idea that maybe he was trying to wear her down on purpose. This is because she came back to life, she had a choice, and at the time, she assumed it was the same for everyone else. So, she assumed that he was staying dead because he could care less about her or anyone else. I'm aware this doesn't make too much sense, but it doesn't have to because Bella's brain is just one jumbled up mess. "Kissing up on fences and up on walls on the way home." Clearly, this never happened, so this is most likely a daydream she had in her imagination. OR OR OR it could be her referencing them talking after she summoned him with the piano. When you’re kissing up on someone’s fence or on their walls it’s rude and disrespectful towards them, and you’re breaking the rules. Bella knew that Theo was being tortured because he kept visiting, but she kissed him anyways, on his way home to life, and those fences and walls were basically Hell. "I guess it's all working out, now." Now she's back in the present, where Theo is alive again.
"Cause there's still too long to the weekend Too long till I drown in your hands Too long since I've been a fool, oh"
"Cause there's still too long to the weekend." She doesn't literally mean weekend. This is about two different times. She's back in the past again when Theo was alive but she was in LA. By weekend she means there's too long until she gets to come home and drown in his hands. In the back of her brain, she’s singing about how it’s going to be a long time until she sees him again because he’s dead. But she doesn’t really want to make it come off that way because she knows it’s just a sweet image she has primed herself for. "Too long since I've been a fool, oh." By calling herself a fool she means swooning over Theo. Not because he's an asshole or anything, just because she thinks she's in over her head, and like everything else, it’s going to crumble in her hands.
"Leave this blue neighbourhood Never knew loving could hurt this good, oh And it drives me wild 'Cause when you look like that I've never ever wanted to be so bad, oh It drives me wild You're driving me wild, wild, wild You're driving me wild, wild, wild You're driving me wild"
"Leave this blue neighbourhood." The blue neighborhood she's talking about is reality. She feels as though being with Theo is some sort of fantasy, and everything else is blue, dreadful and bland in comparison. "Never knew loving could hurt this good, oh." Okay. So, she's mostly talking about how she's in love with Theo and she never expected that it would hurt so much when she finally experienced love. Again, still in the past, except this is when Theo was dead. Yet, she's not only talking about Theo. Think about it. Loving could hurt this good? She doesn't know it, but she's also referring to her other love, her sick and twisted love, cutting. I don't think I need to explain this. "'Cause when you look like that, I've never wanted to be so bad, oh." She's talking about multiple things here. She's talking about how Theo is attractive, yes, congrats. She's also talking about him when he was beside her sobbing with the lashes on his back completely exposed. The "never wanted to be so part," isn't that she's a pyscho and likes seeing him in pain, she just finds the moment beautiful and she's glad she was the one beside him. Okay, maybe that's a littleeeeeee fucked up. The rest is her talking about how he drives her wild in a good way.
"We’re alike you and I Two blue hearts locked in our wrong minds So can we make the most out of no time? Can you hold me? Can you make me leave my demons and my broken pieces behind?"
"We're alike you and I, two blue hearts locked in our wrong minds." Now she's talking about how they are both broken inside, they both have two blue hearts, etc. Again, this is back in the past, but also the present. By "wrong minds" she's referencing the two of them back when they were both convinced they were gay. Now, she literally means wrong minds. "So can we make the most out of no time?" She's talking about their lives because when Theo dies once more, he will take his place as the prince of Hell. Yes, she'll be his Persephone, but life is better than death. "Can you hold me?" There's nothing to talk about here, this is simply something she wants. "Can you make me leave my demons and broken pieces behind?" Now, this is more of a challenge than it really is sincere. You can't just fix someone. They need to fix themselves. Bella knows this, but Theo is the biggest reason why she may be able to be fixed. He can start the job, but he can't finish it for her.
'Cause there's still too long to the weekend Too long till I drown in your hands Too long since I've been a fool, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Leave this blue neighbourhood Never knew loving could hurt this good, oh And it drives me wild 'Cause when you look like that I've never ever wanted to be so bad, oh It drives me wild You're driving me wild, wild, wild You're driving me wild, wild, wild You're driving me wild, wild, wild You're driving me wild, wild, wild
"You make my heart shake bend and break But I can't turn away And it's driving me wild You're driving me wild"
"You make my heart shake bend and break," she's talking about their memories in one little line. Her heart shakes when something good happens, it bends when she's conflicted, and her heart breaks whenever she sees him break. "But I can't turn away." This is because she loves him and she has no one else to turn to.
You make my heart shake bend and break But I can't turn away And it's driving me wild You're driving me wild Leave this blue neighbourhood Never knew loving could hurt this good, oh And it drives me wild 'Cause when you look like that I've never ever wanted to be so bad, oh It drives me wild
You're driving me wild, wild, wild You're driving me wild, wild, wild You're driving me wild, wild, wild You're driving me wild, wild, wild You're driving me wild

16 Days of Mafia - Day Fourteen
16 Days of Mafia - Day Fourteen - February 17th, 2017
Lyric Breakdowns and Relating Them to RichardxWed.
(Every verse in italics are just repeated, ignore them.)
Colors by Halsey.
“Your little brother never tells you but he loves you so You said your mother only smiled on her tv show You’re only happy when your sorry head is filled with dope I hope you make it to the day you’re twenty-eight years old”
This verse can be applied to Richard without changing any lyrics. He has a little brother, Calum, who is usually jealous of Richard and blames that on Richard. Richard’s mother, Marissa, was a superstar. She was portrayed as a happy young singer surrounded by celebrities. It only makes sense that she was ‘happy’ and smiled back then. But now? That’s funny. The next lyric is a little far fetched because Richard only did drugs once, and didn’t rely on them. However, the next lyric applies well, because Richard is only 15 and has already died twice.
“You’re dripping like a saturated sunrise You’re spilling like an overflowing sink You’re ripped at every edge but you’re a masterpiece And now I'm tearing through the pages and the ink”
See, this verse makes me have very... odd thoughts. I can’t think of anyone who is ‘dripping’ or ‘spilling’ so we may have to do a really bad lyric change. Actually, we could think into it further. Dripping like a saturated sunrise. A sunrise could symbolize hope because the night is dark and full of terrors, a sunrise may be a sign of hope, peace, happiness, etc. The word ‘dripping’ could be used to describe the hopeful aura coming off of the person. The next lyric strikes me as the exact opposite. It makes me think of someone who cries often, eyes like a leaky faucet. “You’re ripped at every edge but you’re a masterpiece,” that lyric could describe literally anyone to be perfectly honest. “And now I’m tearing through the pages and the ink,” this could mean the person narrating is breaking through the other’s negative emotions, diving in head first, ignoring any warnings.
Now, who would this be sung about? Well, we can eliminate you and me because no one would waste time singing about us. We can eliminate Richard because he isn’t that damaged. Calum? No, he’s neglected. Wednesday? The only person who would sing to her like this would be Richard, and I doubt he would say those lyrics. Alessia? No, I can’t see it. Now, Leia does have the ‘saturated sunrise’ piece, but no one is aware of the ‘overflowing sink.’ I’ve come to a conclusion. This verse has to apply to either Theo or Bella, and whoever it applies to better, the other would be the narrator.
“Everything is blue His pills, his hands, his jeans And now I'm covered in the colors pull apart at the seams And it's blue And it's blue”
Yeah... this is begging for a lyric change. There will be no sugar daddies in this roleplay. I guess. So, if everything is blue, we need to change the lyrics to apply to someone! Personally, I think if I change them for a specific person this will work better. So when you think blue, you think sadness, right? Well, who experiences sadness in the roleplay. EVERYONE. So we’re going to have to go deeper into this. Halsey gives three examples of things that are blue, so we need to come up with three for the person this is being sung to. Richard likes to wear dark blues, that’s a shitty example. Wednesday?  She cries? Tears are blue? They really aren’t but that’s beside the point. Calum and Alessia have no reasons, leaving Theo, Leia, and Bella. Theo has bright blue eyes, he cries so there’d be tears, I don’t know what other examples there are. Leia loves the color blue and dresses in it, but who would sing this song to her if no one knows how she ever feels? Bella doesn’t wear blue, so she would also only have the tear example. Who wins? Theo.
Instead of “His pills, his hands, his jeans,” the new lyric will be “His tears, his eyes, his jeans.” Yes, I’m aware it sounds bad.
The next lyric is pretty simple. This has to be Bella talking about Theo and how they are both struggling with their sexuality. The ‘colors’ are the imprints he’s leaving on her because she looks up to him. She’s pulling at the seams because she herself is figuring out who she is, although I’m not disclosing who she is just yet. “And it’s blue,” what is it? In my opinion, in this situation, it could be their relationship with one another. It’s not a shit relationship, that’s not why it’s blue. But going back to the start, their bond began sitting on a roof in the rain. What color is the rain? It’s not blue, but if you were to portray it as a color you’d most likely make it blue. Not only that, but they have come closer together through ‘blue’ circumstances.
“Everything is grey His hair, his smoke, his dreams And now he's so devoid of color He don’t know what it means And he's blue And he's blue”
Once again, this requires a lyric change. No one has gray hair or smokes. The dreams? Well, that could apply to multiple characters. First, let’s do the lyric change. Instead of ‘hair,’ we could go with heart, and instead of ‘smoke,’ we could go with hopes. So it’d be “his/her heart, his/her hopes, his/her dreams.”
“And now he’s so devoid of color he don’t know what it means,” could mean that this person hasn’t felt happiness in so long they are no longer familiar with it.
The following lyrics could be unisex by either changing ‘he’ to ‘she’ or using the word ‘he’ as Man, humans. I believe this song would best fit Marissa, Sofia, Theo, Bella, Alessia, and maybe some others.
“You were a vision in the morning when the light came through I know I’ve only felt religion when I've lied with you You said you’ll never be forgiven till your boys are too And I’m still waking every morning but it’s not with you”
See, this verse is just there. I don’t know how to change it to fit anyone specifically or make sense whatsoever. No one has had sex. No one has two boy children that would be sung to. No one is fucking a different person from the one they love. The first lyric is the only one that makes sense, to be honest. We could always change ‘lied’ to ‘been,’ but I don’t know how to replace ‘boys.’ No one has really done anything super wrong, and who is protective so strongly over two people enough that I could replace them with ‘boys?’ Well, I guess this could also be about Theo because he’s protective over Wednesday, Bella, Alessia, and Leia. ‘Boys’ could be replaced with ‘girls,’ but then it sounds weird. Now the last line, there’s no way to not think about sex. So we’ll have to train our minds to think maybe something went wrong with the narrator and the person they’re singing about. Who do I think this verse fits the best? Theo. Again. The new lyrics would be “I know I’ve only felt religion when I’ve been with you, you said you’ll never be forgiven till your _ are too.”
Now, after reading it again and applying it to Theo, it strikes me as another Theo and Bella verse. What is a major issue concerning people of the LGBT community? Religion, acceptance, heaven or hell? At the moment, Theo and Bella are both gay, or they call themselves gay. If Bella is the narrator again, it makes sense that she would feel ‘religion’ when she’s with Theo. When she’s around him she gets that sense of acceptance. Not to mention they are in the same boat, and she thinks he’s the only one who knows about her confusion with her sexuality. “You said you’ll never be forgiven till your boys are too,” the ‘boys’ could be referring to other people from the LGBT community. Maybe they’re talking about how they’ll never be accepted into heaven until God allows gays from past generations into heaven, or until he invites people of the current generations. Now, I’m not saying either of them believes in religion because after breaking this verse down to fit my needs, it’s more about the LGBT community in general, not just Theo/Bella.
You’re dripping like a saturated sunrise You’re spilling like an overflowing sink You’re ripped at every edge but you’re a masterpiece And now I’m tearing through the pages and the ink
Everything is blue His pills, his hands, his jeans And now I’m covered in the colors Pull apart at the seams And it's blue And it's blue
Everything is grey His hair, his smoke, his dreams And now he's so devoid of color He don’t know what it means And he's blue And he's blue
“You were red, and you liked me because I was blue But you touched me, and suddenly I was a lilac sky Then you decided purple just wasn't for you”
This doesn’t need to be broken down. Clearly, there was an attraction. And then there was none at all. Now, who does this apply to? Everyone who’s ever been rejected.
Everything is blue
His pills, his hands, his jeans And now I'm covered in the colors pull apart at the seams And it's blue And it's blue
Everything is grey His hair, his smoke, his dreams And now he's so devoid of color He don't know what it means And he's blue And he's blue
Now, for the final lyrics. I’m aware they weren’t changed much but know you can relate the song to people.
Your little brother never tells you but he loves you so You said your mother only smiled on her tv show You’re only happy when your sorry head is filled with dope I hope you make it to the day you’re twenty-eight years old
You’re dripping like a saturated sunrise You’re spilling like an overflowing sink You’re ripped at every edge but you’re a masterpiece And now I’m tearing through the pages and the ink
Everything is blue His tears, his eyes, his jeans And now I'm covered in the colors pull apart at the seams And it's blue And it's blue
Everything is grey His heart, his hopes, his dreams And now he's so devoid of color He don’t know what it means And he's blue And he's blue
You were a vision in the morning when the light came through I know I’ve only felt religion when I've been with you You said you’ll never be forgiven till your boys are too And I’m still waking every morning but it’s not with you
You’re dripping like a saturated sunrise You’re spilling like an overflowing sink You’re ripped at every edge but you’re a masterpiece And now I’m tearing through the pages and the ink
Everything is blue His tears, his eyes, his jeans And now I’m covered in the colors pull apart at the seams And it's blue And it's blue
Everything is grey His heart, his hopes, his dreams And now he's so devoid of color He don’t know what it means And he's blue And he's blue
