a majiri who comes to Kilima to avenge the child princess Ashura accidentally killed when he was a soldier. they use flow runes to disguise themself as a human and integrate into the village by pretending to be one of the random humans popping up. they want to get close to ashura to kill him, but he is not what they expected. for 20 years they've been picturing an old boastful soldier, bragging every chance he gets about how important he was and showing off his glory. but he isn't like that at all. maybe they need to stay longer.

months down the road and they're sitting with ashura in the inn one slow night. they take off the disguise runes and transform back into their majiri form. maybe ashura recognizes them as umbraan. (it would be cool if there were slight differences in the population across the regions) and they tell him why they came to kilima. he's floored. he thought they were his friend. they asked him to be their shepp.

they tell him they wanted to kill him in the square in front of his friends, all the trouble they've gone through to get his name and location. all the heads they've busted to get what they need. he tells them that if they still want that, he won't fight. he knows he deserves it.

they don't want that. they're tired. they just wanted to tell him the truth.

The Levels of RPF Tinhats

Level 1 - Chemistry Enjoyer Watched a movie and some BTS interviews for the chemistry and think they would be hot making out. Most fics are essentially their ship's public personas in an AU. Doesn't think their ship are or did actually hook up. Barely a tinhat.

Level 2 - Casual Observer Knows a little too much, "haha wouldn't it be funny if they hooked up on this movie". Knows a few of the weirder and more obscure quotes about their ship. Looking forward to when they tag each other on instagram. Probably doesn't think their ship actually hooked up but open to being propagandized in a 'I have some questions' way. Mild tinhat.

Level 3 - Lore Expert Could probably convince you that it's POSSIBLE their ships traded at least a handy on the 9th of October 1986. Has graphs, a detailed timeline, and photo references for every week of every year. Thinks SOMETHING went/is going on, is a believer, but claims no secret knowledge. Has some compelling evidence, but also points to some stuff that makes you go 'okay buddy'. High level tinhat.

Level 4 - Prophet Who Saw the Truth in a Dream Once Most likely claims that their opinion of their ship is the One True Opinion. They are the special ones who understand the esoteric secret messages their ship is sending by wearing blue and green shirts. They have secret knowledge the plebs don't know, but time will prove them right. Their ship is definitely under a bearding contract right now. Management is keeping them apart. The baby is fake. A secret insider (see below) said that the bearding contract ends soon! The het parade will end! They will slowly turn on at least one half of their ship the harder their beliefs become to justify. Extreme tinhat.

Level 5 - Psychic Messiah of RPF Channelling their ship from astral plane right now. Knows their ships is coming out on the June 5th 2025, you can tell because this shot of a bus in their music video. No, look harder. No longer wears a tinhat, they needed to take it off to get messages directly from the black mold.
