oh , this was an OBLIGATORY combination ! name a more natural meeting between muses ! naturally , my brain drifts towards the prospect of the two having met without the MC being there , what could have happened had lawrence been able to ACTUALLY get ren in a private setting , someone seemingly just as invested in all things macabre as him ( granted the way the two got onto speaking terms in the first place ) .

SEEN receiver sees sender for the first time (to lawrence from ren? <3)

the blond picked nervously at his fingers , icy blue eyes trying desperately to train onto the patterns ingrained in the wood rather than the bile that threatened to rise in his throat . lawrence had made a bad habit of getting himself into situation he was more keen to back down on , having kept this . . . friendship something entirely online , he hadn't even made the first move to meeting in person . the THOUGHT of going into the public eye , to where mistakes and impurities lie , made his skin crawl . right now it was going to make him sick if he wasn't careful , and he'd end up regurgitating the liquid he'd consumed as his meals for the day . stray light hairs not pulled into it's loose braid are sticking to his forehead with sweat and for a moment the prospect that ren won't even show up seems promising ( even as the notion makes his fists ball and face twitch in pointed anger ) .

lawrence didn't have any friends , a life of solitude being shown the depths of humanities worst habits made the idea seem nauseating . people , HUMANS , were so washy , so feeble , disposable ; but ren . . . ren seemed different on the surface . this innate shared draw to death , to GORE , to things that made ordinary people squeamish and ill made law more keen on TRYING for once . the blond didn't want to ruin this chance at having a possible connection with SOMEONE who shared his interests , someone who would maybe bounce thoughts and experiences off of each other . law is quickly snapped from his thoughts as he heard the bar door creak open , mouth going incredibly dry as he EASILY can make the ginger's form out in the lingering crowd of the bar .

lawrence's limbs feel as if they weigh a thousand pounds , he's suddenly aware of how he smells of sweat , dirt , weed , and a cheap floral cologne , and he finds himself quickly awkwardly standing to his feet from the stool he'd been sat on to greet the other . the blond is . . . odd to say the least , an olive toned hand coming to rub at the back of his neck as embarrassment licked at his skin , gangly limbs almost clumsily carrying him a bit closer yet not closing the distance . his expression is vacant , swallowing thickly as he felt more nerves rise and bubble in his throat . he makes an attempt to be the first to speak , tone meek , almost somber . " hey . . . ren , right ? " the blond asks , as if he didn't know the answer already , trying to fill the air desperately .

" it's uh , it's good finally to meet you , like in person . . . " his voice tapers at the end , struggling to make eye contact as it seemed blues trained anywhere else . was he supposed to offer a handshake or a . . . high five , or what ? it was evident he didn't know as he simply stood there , eyes shifting to stare the other down . although , he does try to make the appearance of being more personable as a small , tight smile graced his sharp features .
