In my headcanon, Jacob is clearly an endomorph who easily gains weight and muscle.

Meeting Mallary

Finally, spring was here. After months of snow and bitter cold, we'd finally see some good weather. Sure, it'll get hotter and won't stop raining, but at least it meant more folks wanting pictures taken and better weather for fishing. The weather seemed perfect today, so I started to load up some of my supplies in the bed of my trunk.

"Buc-ee! Slow down! *Gasp* SIR LOOK OUT!!" I turned around to see what all the commotion was about and saw what looked like a beagle on a leash pulling someone on roller skates. Before I could react, I felt the impact of another body slamming into mine as I fell back into the grass. "Shit! Oof!" Well, that fucking hurt... I opened my eyes to see a happy panting beagle puppy standing in my chest, panting and licking my face. "H-hey, get down, s-stop!" I chuckled a bit and tried to gently push him away to try and stop the barrage of puppy kisses. Ugh… my head… "Hey! Buc-ee! Come on, get off him; you can't be in people's faces like that!" Suddenly, the dog was picked up off my chest by someone.

"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Here, let me help you up." I took their hand and carefully picked myself up, dusting the grass off my jeans and flannel. "Heh, it's fine, little guy was just excit-'' When I looked at the person who helped me up, my heart stopped. Her skin was a warm caramel color; she had a concerned look on her soft face; her deep brown eyes were looking up at me like a puppy that just got yelled at; and she had fluffy, two-toned purple hair that was partially braided in the sides and fluffy like a cotton candy sheep in the front and back, the barrettes that decorated it shimmering in the sun. I felt my face slowly getting hot; she's beautiful…

"Are you ok?" I stammered over my words. "I-Im fine… y-you ok?" She held onto the wiggling puppy in one hand and embarrassingly scratched the back of her head with the other. "As long as you're okay, I'll be alright. Again, I'm so sorry! Buc-ee isn't used to being out much yet. Poor thing used to be a part of that testing lab that got raided last week." She lovingly petted his head, and he licked her cheek. How could someone be so adorable? "W-well, at least he has an owner like you to take care of him." I nervously fidgeted with my hands. "Oh, heh, I wish I could, but I'm actually just fostering him. He's got a lovely family waiting for him a state away. He'll be staying with me until they get their house ready." She playfully petted his head again, softly chuckling. "He's going to be a handful, but I'm sure he'll be a great dog."

She looked back at me, blushing a bit. "Golly, how rude of me; I forgot to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Mallary. I just moved here last week from Chicago," she smiled and stuck out her hand for me to shake it. I took it and shook it nervously, unconsciously rubbing the back of her hand with my thumb. God, her skin was soft. "I'm Jacob, s-so you must be my new neighbor. I saw the moving vans last week." She smiled warmly until Buc-ee yipped at her. "It looks like someone is ready to go in; we did end up taking a long walk. Well, it's nice to meet you! I'm so sorry we had to bump into each other like this, literally." She cutely chuckled and put Buc-ee on the ground. The puppy happily yipped and ran towards the front door of the house, pulling Mallary along with him. Well, I'll see you later, Jacob!" I shyly waved goodbye as the two disappeared into her house.

I went to pick up my fishing supplies when I saw one of Mallary's barrettes in the grass. My face got hot again as I carefully picked it up. I looked back at the house contentedly while rubbing the heart-shaped piece of plastic in my hand. "I'll see you sooner than you think, darlin~"
