GI REWRITE ANNOUNCEMENT - "WHEN WE TORE HEAVEN APART"

First post in decades, and it's about this longtime project of mine- time flies, huh.

"When We Tore Heaven Apart" is a multi-media fan-project based on Genshin Impact which has been in the making for two years now.

It's meant to be a love letter to the game's characters and community, and it will cover the entire story from Mond until Khaenri'ah in novel-style format.

Why "multi-media" and not just "written" if it's a fanfic? There will be promotional content related to WWTHA, some of which will be animated by yours truly. I also plan to create comics and art which will be featured in each chapter upon release.

What's gonna be different about the story compared to the source material? True to its name, the rewrite includes a brand new narrative and altercations made to quite a few characters. Of course, this doesn't mean that the rewrite will throw away Genshin's storyline, rather, it aims to improve upon many aspects from top to bottom.

Due to spoilers, I won't be sharing a lot yet. But as a sneak peek... what if Lumine and Aether had a different backstory? What if they weren't separated by the unknown god, but by something else? What if Khaenri'ah was the first region the twins went to together?

Please look forward to more in the following months, especially when the prologue is released. Speaking of which...

When is the first chapter gonna be published and where? You can expect the first batch of chapters to be released sometime during this fall on both AO3 and Wattpad!
