Fashionably Late A/N: look who decided to arrive Date: Thursday, September 28th. (Also, fashionably late to post!) @detkhamani
Luna
,"And that is my get ready with me while I'm in labor!" Luna smiled at the camera of her laptop as she pulled up her maternity biker shorts and then threw herself on her and Khamani's bed. She was doing fine. Great, even. After lugging all her stuff to labor and delivery only to be told the baby isn't ready yet really did put a damper on things the night before. She spent a good amount of time yelling and punching the air, walking around, doing exercise, eating spicy foods and exhausting poor Khamani with sex that she thought it was all out of her system. Today, she'd spend the morning talking to her followers, practicing her breathing and trying to remain zen but as she laid on their bed, Luna's annoyance crept up. She gently placed her hands on her belly and sighed. "Please come out so we can meet you, baby! Mommy is so very tired and she wants sushi and a giant pillow and I promise I'll give you all the cuddles if you come out right now!" She was already post date which meant she could be induced by now but she refused to get any sort of medication. After speaking with Juniper, Luna felt this was the path she wanted to go on. The path of unmedicated birth! And that meant no induction. Everything at it's due time. And right when she was about to answer follower questions, she felt another contraction come on. "Oh my God. OH MY GOD! KHAMANI!"
Khamani
Khamani had been doing everything he could think of and was advised of him to help Luna's labor along. And while he wasn't necessarily complaining about the abundance of sex they'd been having lately, adding the day-to-day, and running around with Cannon in the backyard almost daily after he got home from school was making him physically tired. He'd already planned to start his paternity leave from the agency on Luna's due date and because they were small but effective, he'd had flexibility in his schedule.
Presently, he'd been napping on the couch after taking Cannon over to his sister's salon to hang out with her--thankful that she and Tyla offered to keep him entertained overnight. But he'd barely managed to keep his eyes shut before Luna's shouts jolted him out of his sleep. Khamani shot up and practically leapt off the couch, ran--and half slid--across the hardwood floor to their bedroom. "What is it, babe?! Is it time?? The go bag's already in my car."
Luna
She looked up at Khamani, tears in her eyes and the notifications on the computer poured in. This is not what she wanted to do on her live. "Turn it off. Tell them anything!" Luna began her breathing techniques and as she did so she whimpered softly. "It's another contraction. Should we go? I don't know what to do! If I go, they're going to drug me and I swear, I'll flick Dr. Leonard's forehead if he mentions Pitocin again!" The zen Luna hoped she'd find was slipping away from her fingers and oh, her poor husband was left dealing with her flip-flopping meltdowns. "Ok, okay...it's gone..." She took another deep breath. That one was bad. I think she's ready...call Dr. Leonard and tell him we're coming and we're not leaving until they hook me up to a monitor!"
Khamani —
Khamani, who was usually calm, cool and collected had to pause to really take in the scene. Luna was laying on the bed, clutching her belly, and her laptop and ring light were set up on the dresser just a few feet in front of their bed. His brows furrowed, "You're recording right now?" he asked, calming a bit from his panic as he now strode over to her laptop. Seeing himself appear in the tiny rectangular window in the upper corner, Khamani thought for all of two seconds on what to say to Luna's followers before going, "Uh... show's over for now. Bye." There wasn't anything else he could think to say on the fly but he shut off the camera, ended the live stream, and then turned off the ring light so his attention was fully on Luna. After listening to her, he was about to offer her his hand for support, but the contraction subsided. "Okay. Yeah. We're gonna go. No more waiting or tricks to speed this up." He grabbed some shoes to put on and a light hoodie, and then went to Luna again, "What do you need right now? What shoes do you wanna wear on th way there?" He rubbed the back of his neck while looking around the room, "And uh... oh! Okay before we actually leave, you're one hundred percent sure on the clothes you packed for yourself and for baby girl's homecoming outfit, right?"
Luna —
"No more tricks..." She breathed in and out and watched Khamani, who was usually calm look kind of nervous. It was endearing, cute even and she flashed him a tiny smile. Before she could tell him how adorable he was in that moment, Luna felt another contraction come on and she yelled at the top of her lungs. "Ahhh!! Baby! Baby! Ohhhh...." She began her breathing exercises again and for a split-second, Luna considered texting Junipet. She did not want any drugs. She'd find a way. "I--mm hmm mm hmm it's all in there. Can you find my slides? I don't think anything else fits right now." Luna was breathing through this last contraction that felt like absolute hell ripping through her. "Khamani...no drugs, okay?" She looked up to him with pleading eyes. "I can---ahhh. I can do this...."
Khamani —
For a moment, Khamani was torn between crouching beside Luna and helping her through her contraction as best as possible, and gathering up the items needed for them to go. But he ultimately decided to go to Luna, giving her one hand to hold while his other hand rubbed firm circles along her lower back. "You've got this, babe. Keep on breathing. Just keep breathing." He heard what she said and nodded. "You got it. I'll get those, and I'll get the bag." Lifting her hand, he kissed her knuckles and once he had the opportunity to free his hand, he got up from the bed and moved quickly, less out of nervousness and more out of sheer urgency for Luna. He'd snatched up the go bag from their closet and found her slides by the foot of their bed. After plucking a lightweight hoodie for her from their closet and slinging it over his shoulder, Khamani came back to the bed, preparing to put th shos on his wife's feet. "No drugs. I hear you, babe. You've got this. Let's get your shoes on and get going." He'd help her to her feet--hell, he'd carry her to the car if need be.
Luna —
Luna was trying her hardest to put on a brave face. All she wanted was to make it back to the hospital and to not be sent back home again. It had already been hours. "Once the baby is born, I want all you can eat sushi. All of it." She continued her breathing as she got up on her feet. "And a keylime pie. Maybe Tiramisu. Maybe both." She followed Khamani out to the car, gripping his hand the moment she felt another contraction begin. "Ohhhh! Oh God, Oh God. I'm going to have this baby in the middle of San Francisco traffic, aren't I? Ohhhh!!" She breathed in and out, in and out. "Why didn't they just keep me the first time?" She felt her tears fall down her face. "I've been in labor for a million hours!"
Khamani
"You can have whatever you want, Sunshine. You'll have more than earned it," Khamani promised, helping her to her feet after her shoes were on. He'd had the bag slung over one shoulder and her hoodie draped over it, walking with her. His hand pulsed a bit with her tight grip but he took a deep breath and said, "You've got this. You're not having the baby in the middle of traffic. Just keep breathing. We'll get there, alright?" He ducked his head to get Luna to look him in his eyes. "I've got you, alright? You and me, baby." He pecked her forehead and then opened her door to help her inside the passenger's seat. After tossing the bag in the back with the pre-installed car seat and Cannon's booster, Khamani got into the driver's seat, started up his car and carefully but vigilantly began the drive to the hospital.
Luna —
"Thank you," Luna whispered as she tried to shuffle toward the car. Sure, Khamani had to say these things to keep her comfortable but Luna was too busy thinking about the possibility of having this baby in the middle of traffic. When he stopped to look at her in the eyes, she gently pressed her forehead against his and nodded. That's what did it. She needed his calm, his patience, his perfect disposition. Khamani was the best partner she could ever ask for. "You and me." She sighed and climbed into the car with his help. She leaned back a little, placing her phone on her belly and still in awe at how much the baby had dropped over the last couple of days. She was huge. She didn't feel this huge at their shower. "Baby girl, I'm going to need you to help mommy and daddy convince labor and delivery to take me this time, okay? So, give it your all. Don't hold back!" She looked over to Khamani when he climbed in. "I think she likes it in there way too much."
Khamani —
While Khamani drove, he offered his free hand to Luna and listened to her talk to their baby. He'd chuckled a bit and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "What's not to like? She gets fed, housed and soothed by your voice on a regular basis." He was thankful the traffic wasn't too congested this time of day and that they didn't live terribly far from the hospital. It was the traffic lights that mostly held them up. Each time they reached a red light, he looked over to Luna to make sure she was still breathing steadily and then his eyes went back to the road in time for the green light. "Almost there, babe," he promised. And sure enough, when they arrived at the hospital, he parked as close to the entrance as possible and grabbed the go bag from the back seat before coming around to the passenger's side to help Luna out. "We're not going home with just the two of us. They're not sending us back home, alright?" He leaned in and kissed Luna's temple and then prepared to walk with her inside so they could head up to Labor and Delivery.
Luna —
She had two contractions in the car but nothing too painful or too out of the ordinary. She had been dealing with Braxton Hicks since before her due date and at the rate she was going, they were pale in comparison to the ones she had before leaving the house. Luna was starting to believe maybe this was a false alarm too. Khamani's reassuring words were like music to her ears. Even with her erratic demands, he still made her feel like she was on top of the world. "Alright. I believe you." She did. There was nothing that would take that away from her. And as they got into the elevator, she felt a contraction come on, more painful than the ones at home and she felt everything differently this time. "Ohhhh!! Khamani!" She grabbed on to her belly and as soon as the ding of the elevator went off, she was begging for a wheelchair. "Ahhh!!! I'm in labor! I've been in labor for too long and I swear if I don't get a bed, I'm going to have this baby on this AHHHH nursing station!" she began to breathe in and out.
Khamani —
"Yeah, babe?" Khamani replied, trying to keep his voice level, even though he'd been alert and watching the way Luna clutched her rounded tummy. The more he stared at her, the more he was doubting that she'd be able to walk off. Hell, he'd carry her if he had to. He could do it without issue. But Luna's cries about being in labor and getting a bed were enough to grab attention at the nurse's station. A couple of them jumped into action with one hurrying around the counter to bring one of the wheelchairs to them while another grabbed a clipboard. Apparently it was a slow night on the L&D floor which suited Khamani. He helped ease Luna into the wheelchair while answering questions that one of the nurses began asking--the questions he could answer anyway. But he could sense that the nurse was about to turn a set of questions onto Luna and, if her expression was any indication, she wasn't in any position to answer them at the moment. "Uh, lemme stop you right thre for a sec," Khamani said as the one nurse wheeled Luna off the elevator and towards a vacant room. Khamani followed with the second nurse making hurried strides to keep up. "I'm not in the business of telling other folks how to do their job, she's having a contraction right now. So if you could save your questions for when she's not in the middle of one, you're gonna get better answers."
Luna —
,,Luna was so grateful for Khamani. She truly didn't know what she'd do without him and as time went on, the reality of all of this was finally setting in. She was happy for the wheelchair, even happier that this big contraction was subsiding and for a split second, she almost begged for pain medications but she knew she still had time. If worse came to worse, she'd ask for them or she'd give Khamani the signal.
"Right. Apologies. Contractions are less far apart than when she was here earlier, it seems. We're going to hook her up to a monitor. I'll page Dr. Leonard." The nurse that had been talking to Khamani seemed to be the most steady of them all and Luna breathed as she felt the next contraction begin. "Hi Luna! I'm Nurse Maggie and we're going to get you started. This monitor over here is going to be your best friend, it's going to let us know how baby girl is doing, okay?" After Luna was settled on her bed, the other nurses assisted in changing her behind a closed curtain with Khamani's assistance. Maggie then moved to hold on to Luna's hand as the contraction set in. "Oh that's a big one. Okay, Dad, come over here, take her hand for me." The nurse walked over to the computer in the room and began to open Luna's chart. "Non-medicated birth." She whispered and then looked over her shoulder to keep an eye on Luna. "Okay, sweetheart. I really think if you're going to want medications, now is the time. It's my job to walk you both through this. Just keep breathing and let me know what the two of you decide." She looked over to the monitor. "Baby is doing great."
Luna felt the hot tears falling down her cheeks as she continued her breathing exercises. "Why isn't he here yet?" Meaning the doctor. She squeezed her husband's hand. "Text---ohhhh! Ahh! ok-ok. Text Juni. How did they do this?! TWICE!?! And Celeste looks like a goddess!!! AND I KNOW SEBTONY DIDN'T HAVE THOSE BABIES BUT THEY HAVE THREE AND SOMEHOW THEY LOOK LIKE SUPERMODELS!" she began to really cry this time and Nurse Maggie flashed a gentle smile to the couple.
Khamani —
"That's how this is all supposed to go, right?" Khamani asked a little rhetorically when he heard the nurse compare Luna's contractions now to earlier. Neither of them had been happy that she was sent home the first time but they followed orders and left. This time though, Khamani was going to advocate for his wife and daughter. He stayed by Luna's side as much as possible and helped the nurses with changing her out of her clothes and into a hospital gown. Once she was settled on the bed and strapped to the monitors, he heard the nurse ask about medication. Holding Luna's hand, he looked in her eyes and goddammit if he didn't hate seeing her in so much agony.
He was just about to open his mouth and see if Luna had changed her mind when she told him to text their friend, and then continued with their outburst." Khamani froze through it, free hand bumping his cellphone in his sweats pocket, brows raised slightly. Did she just ask about Sebastián and Antony..? Supermodels? Out loud, Khamani composed himself and said, "Babe, everybody's different, okay? Everybody. If you wanna have medication, it's ok. Kendra did when she had Tyla. I dunno what Celeste did but you get to do this in whatever way's gonna be best for you okay?" He brushed some rebellious strands of hair from her face and then kissed her forehead. "You and me, babe. I'm right here for my goddess."
Luna —
"I love you." Luna cried to her husband as she continued breathing. "It's okay--" She breathed in and out. " we have time." Of course they had time, last they checked the baby wasn't budging, she was happily tucked in there and Luna was doing great, they still had time. They had tons of-- "AHHHH! OH GOD. WHERE'S DOCTOR LEONARD? WHERE IS? I CAN'T DO THIS! I can't do this! Why'd you do this to me?!" She looked up at Khamani and the nurse tried to hide her smile.
"Deep breaths, you two. You both got it!" The nurse tried to soothe Luna but she was screaming through the pain. "Luna, honey Are you sure you don't want any..."
"GIVE ME THE DRUGS!" Luna squeezed Khamani's hand with all her might.
"Hello, hello! It's my favorite patient!" Dr. Leonard walked in and Luna shot daggers at him. "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, I've been keeping up with her monitoring and she seems to be doing--" the doctor took a peek at Luna's monitor. "Uh-Maggie My patient is asking for drugs. Get the epidural in. That baby is coming before we know it. Luna, we've already gone through this and how it works we just have to do it a bit quicker. This is going to kick in 15 minutes and then we're going to have to really push, okay?" He looked up at Khamani. "I'm sorry, I thought we had a lot more time."
Khamani —
Khamani offered Luna a gentle but encouraging smile and kept his hand in hers. When she hollered again, he braced himself for her grip tightening and then jerked his chin back, eyes widening a fraction when she rounded on him as the fault for her current state. For a second, he considered answering her but a split second of better thinking kept him from losing his head from the rest of his body.
His wife's decision to be medicated through the rest of the labor caught Khamani by surprise but the last thing he was going to do at that moment was question her certainly. She looked like she was in the worst pain of her life and who the hell was he to question that?
"Whatever you want, babe. As soon as we can, we'll get it for you." But he didn't know he'd made that promise prematurely at the time. Listening to Dr. Leonard, his briws furrowed. "Wait, what? What are you saying?" He asked. "We had a lot of time a few minutes ago. Is it really time for her to push now?"
Luna —
Once the epidural was on, Luna couldn't help the tears falling down her face. "Why did I think I could do this?" She shook her head and held on to Khamani. "It might be too late for the drugs now." Dr. Leonard had the room prepped for delivery as quickly as possible, dreading facing his patient and her spouse now that their timeline had changed. "I'm so sorry, Khamani. I don't know where we went wrong. She probably should have been triaged hours ago. There's a slight possibility the medications won't kick in fast enough but Luna, we're here for you and we're going to have a safe delivery!" he waited for the nurse to help Luna up in a sitting position. Luna looked up at her husband. "I'm so scared." It was the first time she had admitted that to him. She had a whole life in her hands. "I'm so---ahhhh! Ohhh! Oh no, no no no no " Luna extended her free hand and Maggie the nurse ran to take it so she can squeeze it.
"Okay, we're going to start pushing, Luna. I need you to really push for us, okay?"
Khamani —
"Because you can do this," Khamani told her, looking right into his wife's eyes. He tried not to show his upset towards Dr. Leonard at the mention of Luna needing to be triaged hours ago a day the fact that they had already been up at the hospital before only to be sent back home. He kept one hand in Luna's and brought the other up to brush some rebellious strands of hair from her face. He leaned close to whisper just above her ear, "You can do this, Sunshine. I know you're in a lot of pain right now but you're gonna be able to get through this and bring our little girl into this world."
He kissed the side of her head twice and then leaned back to look her in her eyes again when it came time for her to push.
Luna —
She couldn't do this without him and Luna knew in that moment exactly what she needed to do. She needed to focus on him and only him. She wasn't going to think about anyone else in the room. If she concentrated on Khamani, Luna would have nothing to be scared of because he was her rock and she was his. She nodded, keeping her breathing paced just like she had learned and then she pushed, letting out the biggest scream all the while squeezing both hands she was holding on to.
"That's good, Luna! I'm going to need you to push just like that!"
She nodded, tears stinging her eyes and Luna was determined. Another push and her yells could probably be heard down the hall. "Oh my God!" Luna continued her breathing before pushing again.
"She's crowning! Almost there, Luna!"
Khamani —
Khamani kept his eyes locked on Luna the entire time, matching her breaths as much as possible without huffing in her face. "Good job, babe! You're doing it! Wonder Woman, babe!" Khamani complimented through her screams and yells, keeping an even but determined tone. He wiped the tears from one side of her face with his free hand and kept his eyes on her. Seeing her in so much pain felt like his heart being used as a pincushion. But his pain was nothing compared to what Luna was going through, he knew that.
Hearing the update over his shoulder nearly tempted Khamani to look but he thought better of it, very, very quickly and said, "You're almost done, Sunshine and then we'll get to meet her. Just a little more and then you're done." He gave her hand a reassuring squeeze and said, "You got this!"
Luna —
Luna began to sob. The pain was numbing at this point. It was her husband's encouraging words that had brought her to tears. They really were a team and she loved him so much. She locked eyes with him and then squeezed both his and Maggie's hand tight She wished Kendra was here or her mother or Luz but she was happy that Khamani was there with her. With all the strength she could muster, Luna pushed hard, yelling through the pain and almost falling back from the exhaustion until ...
"It's a girl!" The cries from her daughter filled the room and Luna felt her entire body shake from how fragile she was. "is he---is she ok? ten fingers, ten toes..." Luna laid back gently, searching Khamani's face for a response.
"Mr. Smith, would you like to do the honors?" The nurse reached for the scissor and handed it to Khamani.
Khamani —
Seeing Luna cry made his broad shoulders fall. He was fighting the pin prices in his chest and the upset simmering in his head that it could have been eased were they here sooner or not sent away before. But neither of them could change that now. "Stay with me, Luna," Khamani gently encouraged, prepared to lean forward and start rubbing her back.
But he didn't have the chance before their little girl entered the world and announced her presence without question. He broke eye contact so he could look and see their newborn daughter whom they laid on Luna's belly while wiping her back. Khamani gazed in awe and then smiled to his wife. He leaned in and kissed Luna's forehead and cheek. "She's okay. All her hands, feet, fingers and toes. You did it, Sunshine. You did it." He squeezed her hand and gave her one more kiss, this time full on her lips and then gently released her hand for the first time since they got going with the labor.
Flexing and relaxing his fingers a few times, he nodded to nurse, "Yeah," he replied, feeling the word get a little choked up in his throat. He accepted the scissors and followed the instructions on where to cut the cord. And then smiled all over again as nurse Maggie carried their little girl to a nearby area to finish cleaning her up and swaddling her. Khamani set his sights back to Luna, "You did such a good job, babe. Damn, I'm so proud of you. You ready to meet our little troublemaker?"
Luna —
Focusing only on her husband , his encouragement, the way he kept his breathing paired with hers, Luna felt safe. When she heard the cries of their baby girl, her entire body collapsed. It was as if she had been waiting for this moment forever.
Luna felt her tears of joy fall down her cheeks as she watched her husband tend to their baby girl. She fought back a few giggles that became muffled with her quiet cries and then smiled widely when Khamani told her she had done such a good job. “I love you so much. I couldn’t have done this without you.” All the grief and upset she had felt just moments ago was now gone. The only thing that mattered was that their daughter was healthy. Nodding her head in response to Khamani’s question, Luna looked ove to the nurse that was holding their bundle of joy. “Hey, baby girl. Fashionably late like your mommy, huh?” She waited eagerly for the newborn to be placed in her arms.
Khamani —
With his eyes still on the nurses tending to their daughter, Khamani dropped another kiss to the top of Luna's head and told her, "I love you too." He smiled a bit, believing that she would have powered through the labor of birthing their daughter no matter what, but he was thankful that they never had to know anything different than the two of them being together through the arrival of their daughter.
He watched as the nurse brought their newborn back over to her parents and placed the tiny bundle of baby into Luna's waiting arms. Reaching in his back pocket, Khamani took out his phone to capture photos of the moment from Luna's side. Two of the most important people in his life were finally getting to meet after months of waiting. "Beautiful like her mommy too," Khamani quietly added, locking his phone and sliding it back into his pocket. "Hey, baby girl," he added with a gentleness to his voice and a bright smile stretched on his lips.
Luna —
She was the perfect mix of the two of them and as her daughter was placed into her arms, Luna felt the tears form once more. “Hi baby… oh my gosh you’re so tiny!” She was six pounds, nine ounces, 19 inches but to Luna, her daughter was a little nugget. “I love you so much, peanut. Welcome to the world. Everyone’s been waiting so patiently. Especially me and daddy.” Luna slipped her finger into her daughter’s tiny grasp. “I love you so much. We’re going to protect you and love you and shower you with kisses and take you to comic cons and probably annoy you too…” Luna smiled.
She looked up at Khamani who was sitting behind them and smiled. “We have two of the most beautiful kids. My little family. “. She couldn’t wait for Cannon to meet his sister.
Dr. Leonard had taken a moment to clean up and came back to check in on the couple and their newborn, letting them know the baby was great and Luna had done an amazing job.
He shook Khamani’s hand and nurse Maggie congratulated them once more. Dr. Leonard then asked, “So, does the little one have a name?”
The corner of Luna’s lips curled upwards into a tired but bright smile as she looked at her daughter and then her husband. “Go ahead baby.”
Khamani —
"That patience wasn't easy though," Khamani added and soaked up the priceless moment between Luna and their daughter. He gave a small, breathy chuckle at the last couple of things Luna listed to their newborn. While gazing down at her and their baby girl, he leaned his hip a bit against the side of the bed. "Yeah we do. No arguments here," he agreed about their family. In a little more than a year's time, he'd become a father of two with his and Luna's family doubling. He loved the team that they were and didn't have the words for looking forward to this next chapter.
With Dr. Leonard and her team finishing the clean-up in the delivery room, Khamani met her outstretched hand and thanked her, along with nurse Maggie. He knew things could have gone differently had he and Luna been there sooner rather than being turned away, but hearing that their daughter was okay and healthy, and seeing that Luna seemed to be just as okay and healthy quelled his urge to address it. At the question about their daughter's name, Khamani was fully prepared to let his wife share the name; she'd had a closer relationship with the doctor and she'd done the hard work. But she encouraged him to do and so he gently lifted a bent index finger and ran it across their little girl's velvet-soft cherub cheek. "Her name's Ximena Citlali Smith." And almost as if on cue, in her slumbering state, little XImena's tiny bow-shaped lips twitched into a brief smile.

History of Magic and Technology in the world
There was a connection with the names of gods. It was a sort of language that functioned both vocally and written in a visual style that indicated tenses and actions through the placement of the names of gods and spirits in consecutive rings. A language that had been first explained to Ravians through the prophet Albayo Ceilodius.
During his reign, the world was filled with magical artifacts quinned by the ravian enchanters who had been taught this secret language. Many of their artifacts still exist, buried with age after the fall of the empire.
The language was thought to be forgotten till Archibald Magnus the IV rediscover the patterns of the language and translated the archaic glyphs known as Lumani sketch, on a simple teapot which never served cold tea. He figured out which parts of the sketch were names, nouns and which described the action the pot was to serve. Finding that the pot called on a lesser spirit of warmth to keep its contents heated. A word the drakori used almost daily to warm water for tea and coffee. So Archibald understood the meaning and understood how to apply the sketch on other objects. Or how to write the name of a different spirit like one for cold, or air and and get the effect of the pot to act differently.
This simple summon allowed Dominities to challenge the other peoples of the world who always looked down on humans for the inferiority of their will, and the little control over the shape of the world they had. Humans created burning bolts that broke apart on impact into smaller metal shards and eventually this gave way to the first bullets.
Archibalds discoveries were only the beginning. The Dominion was ripe with Lumani sketches particularly the city of Lae Lumas which up until that point had been a small port since it was conquered by humans in the beginning of the 4th Era.
With the rush of scholars heading into its tunnels to learn the secrets of Lumani sketch the city grew into a thriving metropolis.
A thousand Lumani sketchs hid underneath the city of Lae Lumas. The problem was that the Lumani never wrote whole phrases they just wrote down names; nouns. Although they figured out how to read them and what they sounded like. Figuring out what they meant was another issue entirely when the context was often vague and unlike any normal language.
On the other side of the world the people of Jam D'gai were doing nearly the same but with technology. They created gunpowder by using an old medical recipe for something called black spark. Once said to prolong life It was rather common knowledge that this powder was explosive and it was usually packaged in small metal vials because of that. It didn't take long till the invention of a sort of flint and steel device to launch them came about. Shortly to follow behind was a rifle design that used a hammer on the barrel to create the heat of friction to launch the bullet. But by the time of the Great War they had already created the more modern cartridge bullets and were the leading forefront of military technology.
The Dominion mastered magical technologies that helped aid in everyday life. But till the invention of the Arcanatom Gauntlet they were never considered a worldly power. The great war changed a lot of things.

With Magic Luminous Drawing Board, you can draw without any limit!
The Science behind Magic Luminous Drawing Board:
When you draw on the surface of a magic drawing board with a special pen, tiny particles in the ink will react.
WHAT IS THE USE OF A MAGIC LUMINOUS DRAWING BOARD?
The magic luminous drawing board is a newly invented stationery that can be widely used in writing, drawing and other activities. The magic luminous drawing board is made up of two parts: a whiteboard and a lightbox. The whiteboard is used as normal while the light box is used to shine lights on the written words or drawings so that they will glow in the dark. This allows users to have fun writing and drawing in the dark!
Some children may be fascinated by magic, some may be curious about the power of drawing and how it can influence things in the real world. There is no need to be curious because today we are going to unveil the mystery behind the magic luminous drawing board!
A luminous or light board is a transparent board with a light bulb at the back covered with a white sheet of paper. When you draw on the paper with a special light-sensitive crayon, the image will show up on the other.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OFMAGIC LUMANIOUS DRAWING BOARD ?
There are several advantages of the Luminous drawing board that attracts people to use it. Some of them are:
It is a magnetic surface so you can attach magnets to it.
- The pen doesn't need any pressure, so you can write very lightly and it still shows up.
- Circles and squiggles show up better than if you just use a pen on paper.
- The board comes with an eraser on the back so you can erase what you've written (or drawn
The Luminous drawing board has many advantages over a regular whiteboard. For one, because the surface of the Luminous drawing board is completely clear, there is no need to erase or hide mistakes - they simply disappear as if by magic! In addition, because the board uses light to create its markings, there is no need for any special pens or markers. This also means that the markings are completely waterproof and will not fade over time. Finally, because the Luminous drawing board only requires a USB port

In the depths of mid-2000s YouTube, you’ll find a collection of song covers, performed by an unassuming seventeen year old with a dream. These days, charming musician Nicolas Lumani, now 23, has moved on to bigger things, but he’ll never forget his roots. A London native and son of a renowned director, Nic had big shoes to fill from the beginning, but with a natural talent for music blossoming at a young age, the odds seemed to be in his favor. After his YouTube channel skyrocketed, Nic signed on to Columbia Records and released his first album, FEVER, which topped the Billboard charts and made pop music history with its record-breaking numbers. Recently, Nic has been in the studio perfecting his second full-length album, currently unnamed, where he is rumored to be collaborating on a few tracks with big name musicians. Can’t wait for more Nic? WOMAN, the scorching first single off his new album, can be purchased on iTunes worldwide. Rolling Stone sat down with Nic to talk music, relationships, and everything in between.
Q: Hey Nic! Thank you for sitting down with us today. A: Hey, thanks for having me.
Q: Absolutely. We at Rolling Stone are huge fans of your premiere album. How does it feel to see such mainstream success after moving from YouTube? A: Thank you. It feels wonderful, really. I’m very thankful to everyone that has taken even five minutes out of their day to watch me or listen to the album for everything that has happened to me since that and it stills shocks me. Sometimes I can’t even believe how much things changed and it’s very humbling.
Q: What advice would you give to any YouTubers looking to follow in your footsteps? A: I’d say keep doing it and be yourself. Change the music if you have to, make it your own, sing with your soul and people will connect with it. It doesn’t always happen as quickly as you might hope but you never know who could be watching, so don’t give up so easily. Oh! And numbers don’t matter, always keep that in mind. YouTube is in my opinion one of the most amazing platforms there is — internet in general. Everyone has access to it so easily and it allows us to reach people from all over the world. It’s always all about the music and how many people you can touch with yours.
Q: You really are an inspiration, Nic. We know you’re keeping the details of your new album under wraps, but for the sake of the fans, we just have to ask a few questions! What sort of influences went into this album? A: Well, I can’t say too much just yet. But I’m constantly influenced by the 70s. My mother used to be a very rock n roll kind of girl back in her early days, so I grew up listening to that kind of music and I’m inspired by that lifestyle and everything about it. I love music, listening to all kinds of music, I’ve always been very musical. I like trying new sounds that don’t always come from instruments. On top of that, I’m definitely a Bowie and Michael Jackson fan, names that has always been huge inspirations to me — who created music that has an impact all over the world. Bands like Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd that have also been a present theme at the Lumani household had a lot to do with it as well.
Q: Can you give us any other little tidbits about the album? Any features we have to look forward to? A: I don’t wanna give too much away, but I think the fans can expect a little more guitar arrangements in this record, there are a lot of cool things coming soon and it will all be very exciting. Unlike my first album, this one will have features and I know my fans are impatient since I have been teasing for a while but I have been working on a song with a very close friend of mine who has an amazing voice. Hopefully people will love it when they hear it.
Q: Can we expect a tour soon, then? A: Absolutely. Playing concerts is my favorite part of this whole thing. I get to meet the fans and listening to them singing my lyrics back to me is what keeps me going. It’s my turn to give them something back for everything they’ve done for me and it’s honestly a lot of fun. There’s no energy that compares to that, it feels really good. The fact that they left their homes and took the time to buy the tickets and then to drive all the way to the venue, find parking which is not always easy then patiently wait in line, all of that trouble just to see me constantly blows my mind. I’ve been to many concerts before and there’s a expectation that you get from the moment you buy the tickets, all I want is to be able to make it worth it for them cause you know, all of it is happening to me thanks to them. I’m basically their employee.
Q: We’ve also heard the rumors about you hosting SNL soon, can you confirm that? A: I can definitely say that it would be a honor to just be the musical guest or do a sketch or something along those lines. Me and my parents have always been big fans of the show, my dad even tapes it when he isn’t around.
Q: We are loving your new single, WOMAN. Tell us, are there any special women in your life? A: Thank you so much. Sadly no. Not right now, i’ve been focusing on the single and ironically that has also helped me to stay single.
Q: You heard it here first, ladies! One last question: If you could say final thing to the fans reading this article, what would it be? A: Oh my, I’d first like to apologize for the wait. I see you all online and I know it has been long, but it will be worth it. Hang in there a little longer. Thank you all for having been so kind and patient with me and for being there from the start. I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart. I love you all and I’ll see you very soon.

Sonata #2
Sonata #2 Image Comics 2019 Written by David Hine & Brian Haberlin Illustrated by Brian Haberlin Coloured by Geirrod Van Dyke Lettered by Francis Takenaga “SONATA’S ADVENTURES UNDERGROUND” Sonata travels through a hidden underworld where she discovers impossible science, a giant killer bird, and a young man named Pau, who sees himself as her knight in shining armor. He is also the son of the rival Tayan leader, which makes them deadly enemies. I almost didn't pick up the first issue, I knew it was being hyped from Image but I don't know why but I wasn't buying what was being said, at the time. Still when at the store and looking at it, pfft I had to have it I mean the artwork alone was worth it. So after that smashing debut I got excited to see if issue two would hold up to those expectations the first issue brought. Sure enough it does and then some as this is slightly better than last issue, which is the way it should be as the story moves forward the book should get stronger and stronger. This may dethrone my favourite Image title and take it's place it's just that good. I am enjoying how this is structured as the pacing weaves us in, out, around and through the story & plot development and the character development with those action moments and pure story driven moments. The way it's all mixed together and how it comes across to the reader is utterly amazing to see. It has that effect of drawing in the reader and capturing their attention and imagination as the characters and what they are doing mesmerises you. There is just that “X” factor to it which is indescribable and yet instantly recognisable at the same time. The sequence of events that we see here is marvellous to see. Picking right up after the damn was blown we see the Trayans react and want the blood of the Rans. However it's Pau and what he's up to that reveals the most about this world and it's indigenous peoples. So there is a mystery here and it's one that the Lumani are reluctant to talk about and I am using nice terms in reluctance because wow Treen's reaction is something else altogether. So what all this does is engages the readers mind as we think about what we're seeing and how and why things are the way the are now. Though the more we read the more we understand a few things that we see within these pages. Oh Sweet Child 'O Mine the work that is being done on the interiors here is bloody brilliant work and it just has this realism to it that thrills you. It is so damn good that my words will never do it justice but that's okay I guess I hope that inability to really describe how I feel about will make you curious and take a look at the book. The linework is impeccable and the way we see the attention to detail here is far beyond what I thought was humanly possible. When you add the colour work to it, it all goes to a whole new level and begins to take on a photographic feeling. The way we see light sources utilised and how that affects the shading and the shadows through colour gradation and colour blocking and colour overlay all conspire to bring this to a level I've never seen before. The utilisation of the page layouts and how we see the angles and perspective in the panels show this absolutely stupendous eye for storytelling. Plus with the backgrounds we see that expand the moments and show the size and scope of this world makes me want to weep with joy. With the way that we see the characters coming together, physically not exactly socially, and how we see their interactions play out the stronger I feel that they really are the Vulcans and Romulans in a lot of ways. One full of anger and warlike, the other peaceful and kind. I am also enjoying how we see the Lumani taking a roll with their new neighbours. The writing is just bloody genius and it's executed to near perfections and the way that the interiors only enhance the story put this into a league all it's own.

book battles: foretold
foretold by violet lumani
thank you to netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a free ebook in exchange for an honest review! this has not affected my review in any way, all opinions are mine.
3.5/5, rounded up!
cassandra has extreme anxiety, ocd, and visions of death. she thinks that last bit is just a symptom when she finds out she’s a scryer with the power to see the future. and maybe, just maybe, she can change the deadly future she’s seen.
i wish i had liked this book just a little bit more than i had. i love the concept, and the portrayal of mental illness and ocd was both realistic and relevant to the story that was very well done. as a mythology and history buff, i loved all the references throughout the story.
the dialogue was...rough. it was probably the book’s weakest part for me. while i still enjoyed it, some of the conversations between collin and cass just felt incredibly inaccurate to how teenagers talk, and some of the slang made me cringe. i know teenager speak is notoriously hard to write, but o u c h some of this stuff was outdated in 2012. by the time i was halfway through, i was just used to it as an aspect of the book and it wasn’t as noticable, but i still wish the dialogue was a little smoother and realistic
and pacing wise, i think there could have been some improvement. as the first in a series with relatively intensive worldbuilding, there was a lot of exposition. at times that really slowed down the plot, and other times it wasn’t even exposition making things slow. other times, things went so fast that i had to go back and reread because i wasn’t sure where people ended up.
however, i did really like the characters (although i’m not sure i really bought into the romances) and their friendships. i’ll definitely be reading the upcoming books to see where this series goes, because i think it has a lot of potential!

Global City Data Platform Market Prognostications Highpoint Positive Revenue during Forecast Period, 2018-2026
The city data platform makes it possible for relevant local authorities and governments to develop smart cities, which is a key factor driving the city data platform market. The city data platform collects data from various sources, which is helpful in case of rolling out new systems related to transportation, crime prevention, and water distribution. This is also expected to be a major factor fueling the growth of the City Data Platform Market over the forecast period. Moreover, the city data platform gathers information from a network of cameras & sensors, and helps in better traffic management. Thus, smart traffic management is another feature expected to boost the demand for city data platforms during the forecast period.

The city data platform concept is based on the Internet-of-things technologies and wireless connection infrastructure with the help of beacons, sensors, and other devices. This concept of city data platforms has resulted in the production of a substantial amount of data through these devices and helps cities manage their assets better.
The idea of developing a city data platform can be traced back to various research papers and movements regarding the building of a smart city, which were published in the late 20th century. In the modern days, life problems associated with urbanization, which are defined by data on city data platforms, help improve decision-making capabilities as well as provide deeper insights that help innovation communities/councils deal with urban challenges. City data platforms not only provide quality data, but also make that data valuable by making it understandable and accessible. City data platforms integrate a large amount of data, which includes data from various industries such as transport, energy, crowd sourced data, etc., and provide a holistic view of information that is aimed at improving and developing innovative smart city services. City data platforms are able to process real-time data as well as historical data. In city data platforms, the data is collected from different data sources, following which it is saved and processed. It is then supported through external data analytics and applications that use the interfaces of a city data platform.
However, the quality of the data collected by city data platforms is not always up to the mark, as the sources of such data are sometime inaccurate and nonstandardized. Thus, poor quality of data is a major factor restraining the growth of the city data platform market.
To know more about the City Data Platform Market Visit the link- https://www.factmr.com/report/2645/city-data-platform-market
Moreover, the data is collected from different organizations and all organizations use different data structures, which makes it difficult for city data platforms to integrate the data. Hence, the integration of data is another challenge restricting the growth of the city data platform market.

Be My Baby | Lumani
Featuring: Luna & Khamani Smith; mentions of Cannon & Dr. Leonard Time Frame: Follow up to this para Notes: Khamani shows up at the hospital to learn of Luna’s new discovery
@lunazuniga
Khamani
Khamani had dropped Cannon off at Kendra's salon, thanking his sister profusely before hurrying to the hospital. The nurse hadn't been very forthcoming over the phone when she called him about Luna, only disclosing that she'd fainted during her appointment and that it was best that she not drive herself home. Had they gone overboard with cutting sugar out from Luna's diet? He'd been supportive and had almost entirely cut out sugar from his diet too, but he sincerely hoped that it was just the doctor and nurse wanting to err on the side of caution.
After arriving and checking in at the women's health desk, identifying himself as Luna Smith's husband, he waited to be brought back, tempering the anxiousness that was currently agitating him from not physically seeing his wife and seeing that she was okay.
Luna
Elena was tending to a very groggy Luna. She had admitted that she had skipped breakfast to attendg the appointment and the shock of her pregnancy news was a little too much for her to handle. The good thing about the clinic being at the hospital was that Elena was able to pick up a turkey sandwich and some much needed juice. Dr. Leonard advised it would be more than okay. When he heard that Luna's husband was outside, he left his office to greet him.
"Mr. Smith, thank you for coming. First, I'll tell you that Luna is doing fine. There was an incident but it's being handled. I know she's cut out a lot of sugar but we'll come up with a more sensible diet plan especially since she'll be needing one now more than ever." His grin widened as he lead Khamani to the patient room. "I'll let your wife share it with you."
Khamani
When the doctor came out personally, Khamani stood from the chair he'd barely seated himself in. He nodded in response to the doctor's greeting and listened intently to what he was being told. An incident? he thought. That sounded vague but he decided not to press the matter for the time being. If asking a bunch of questions out here in the waiting area was going to delay him from actually seeing Luna, he'd keep his mouth shut for now.
But the doctor was soon smiling--no, grinning at him. So whatever was going on couldn't have been all bad. Maybe Luna's tests were looking better than anticipated. He knew she'd been worrying. He'd been quietly wondering, but unsure of absolutely everything, outside of what he would learn during their appointments and what he felt he could trust doing independent research online. "Okay," he replied, brows furrowing as he followed the doctor back. Some hope bloomed in his chest that he and Luna would be on the right track for conceiving. He knew how hard she'd been working and how much the two of them wanted this. Now, he was just letting himself hope that it could mean something. (edited)
Luna
The doctor was thrilled to bring Khamani to the room and he was excited for him to find out from Luna about the news. When he knocked on her door, Luna asked them to come in. The relief on her face upon seeing her husband was more than obvious. “Hey, baby!” She remained seated, turkey sandwich on her lap. The nurse nodded at Khamani and smiled and then left Luna’s side to follow the doctor out. “I’ll be in my office.”
Dr. Leonard exited the room and Luna looked up at Khamani, reaching for his hand. “I don’t have a never ending stomach flu after all…”
She reached for the photograph of the ultrasound that was face down beside her and handed it to Khamani. “It turns out I have a different bug and it’s ten weeks…”
Khamani
Khamani entered the room behind the doctor and felt indescribable relief at seeing his wife. He knew that she was okay because the doctor had told him as much. Still, seeing her for himself was a greater assurance for him than hearing it from someone else. He gave her a slight smirk and bent to kiss her temple. "Hey, Sunshine," he replied against her skin, and then took a seat in a vacant chair near the exam bed where she was seated.
He glanced in the doctor's direction when he'd left and then looked back to Luna, holding her hand when she held it out. He gave her hand a light squeeze, "Is it from all the diet change and--" he cut himself off, listening to her while looking down, his brows sloping, and then smoothing out once he flipped over the photo while putting together what Luna was telling him. His eyes grew and then snapped up at her. "You... you mean you're... are you for real? Is this for real?"
Luna
Luna, as giddy as she was, could not shake off the shock of being told that not only she was expecting but that the baby was about ten weeks. "This is for real." She practically squealed and looked up at her husband. "I have to come back in two weeks for the nuchal scan where they check the baby's nuchal folds but what's super exciting is I can do the genetic test today the...what did he call it? Oh! The Panorama test. It checks for other chromosomal issues but also, we can find out the gender!" Her lips pulled upwards into a bright smile. "It takes a couple of days for the result to come in. But yeah...we're pregnant! Dr. Leonard said he can do another quick ultrasound so you could hear the heartbeat too..." Luna reached for both his hands and gave them a gentle squeeze. "We're going to have a baby."
Khamani
Khamani was attempting to follow Luna with the medical terms she was bringing up--some sort of folds and tests but admittedly he'd lost track after that while the news of her being pregnant and the words, 'We're going to have a baby' echoed in his head again and again like a pulse beat. With the truth sinking in, he squeezed her hands back. He'd gotten past his relief that Luna was, in fact, okay, and was now fully settled in his mix of shock and joy. He let go of her hands and leaned forward to envelope her in his arms. We're going to have a baby," repeated, giving her a gentle squeeze and burying his face in the crook of her neck. "And you're sure you're okay?"
Luna
Luna giggled softly when Khamani buried his face into her neck. She also wrapped her arms around him, not wanting to let go and felt the tears filling her eyes immediately. She closed her eyes and sighed contently at his question, "Mm-hmm. I'm okay. Still in a lot of shock but so happy. I freaked out because you weren't here and I really didn't want to do any of this without you." Luna smiled, her body still melted into his arms. "Dr. Leonard says the baby looks great. Everything is where it's supposed to be, my labs have all come back within range. It's really happening."
Khamani
Keeping his arms around her and his face against her neck, Khamani listened to every word his wife spoke. Through his own shock and happiness, she was keeping him anchored. "I'm sorry I wasn't here. But I'm glad they called me. And I'm more glad that you're okay." He lifted his head so that he could look into her eyes. "Relieved's more like it, but yeah, I just... it's really happening." He softly grinned and kissed her cheek. "So what happens now? Do we need to do anything right now, or should I take you home?"
Luna
Finally getting over the initial shock, Luna's mind was on overdrive thinking of all the things she had to do now. She had already missed a small chunk of time and that in itself made her nervous. To hear that her last labs were within range was helpful but she knew she'd have to wait for these labs to feel confident their baby was doing okay. "Mm-hmm, we can go home. I did all my bloodwork so we'll know in a couple of days if everything still looks good. in ten days, we'll get the genetics results back with gender but, I was wondering...how do you feel about waiting to tell anyone about gender and the fact that we're expecting until the anatomy scan? we'll be 20 weeks by then, halfway through and I would feel better waiting. Is that pessimistic? Am I thinking about it too much?" Luna could already tell she was going to need Khamani to keep her mind settled. "Our families and closest friends like Seb and Tony can know but once we get to 20, we can tell the world?"
Khamani
Khamani could see the wheels turning in Luna's head. He listened to her while drawing back a little bit he moved his hands to settle in hers. As he listened to her, he gave both of her hands a gentle, assuring squeeze and then, considering what she was suggesting and what she asked him, he shook his head a little, "You're not thinking about it too much. This has been a journey already and it's not over for us yet. So I'm fine with us waiting to share the news with everyone. Although if you're showing before twenty weeks, it might be tough to keep quiet but we can keep it to ourselves and our closest loved ones for as long as possible." Lifting one of her hands, he kissed it "As dark as finding out what we're having, I don't know if this idea will be stressful for you or not, but what do you think about having one or two of our friends find out for us? We can have the doctor put it in an envelope and have someone close to us do some kind of reveal for us or something?" He knew that this was going to have its stresses and worries for Luna especially since she was the one carrying their baby and going through all then physical and emotional changes. But if there could be some fun included for her especially, he would hope they could seize the opportunity.
Luna
She has said it many times before and will say it again, "Thank God for you. Honestly, I'd spiral quickly otherwise." Being a first time to everything was terrifying for Luna but having Khamani's calm around her always helped. "Our kids are so lucky you're their dad, future daddy." She smiled up at him and sighed calmly. Listening to Khamani's idea about not finding out the gender until after their anatomy scan made her light up and a smile pulled at her lips. "I LOVE that idea! Knowing our friends, they'll love it." She brought down her arms, and took one of his hands, squeezing it tightly. "Let's go home. Oh my God! I can't wait to tell Cannon! we need to plan something special for him!"
Khamani
Khamani gave Luna a soft smile. "We make a great team, baby." At that moment, he'd remembered Kendra's panic when she found out she was pregnant with Tyla, and again when she wasn't going to get any support from the father. Khamani would do everything he could to be supportive to Luna through the pregnancy, birth and beyond. And seeing her excitement for involving their friends with the announcement and revealing what they'd be having made him smile a little more. "Sounds good. He's gonna be excited." Thinking about the way Cannon reacted to the playset he and Thomas put together for the little boy, Khamani imagined this news would get an on par reaction. Standing from his seat, Khamani kept his hand in Luna's, prepared to escort her from the exam room and to his car. He'd give Kendra or Rafael a call to arrange for picking up Luna's car later. For now, he just wanted to get her home.

Gods and Magic [Part 01]
Arcanatom is the life force of the universe. The energy that allows every living thing to change the world to their will. The problem is that to control this force you need to know the words to do it.
There are two ways to view the gods. Each a face of Arcanatom belonging to a yin and yang sort of dualism, of positive and negative aspects. Or each face a god in their own right whose power comes from the source of the universe. Which ever idea you subscribe to there is only one truth. In the beginning there were four gods each ruling over a realm of thought. It should be noted that although I refer to them as gods (or in some cases goddesses) they are actually genderless. Some of the more common beliefs in the world have gendered their gods.
“To gaze into darkness is to know pure chaos.”
~Unknown Lumani Scholar
Kalclok- the god of beginnings, stillness, unchanging, comfort, eternity and stability. Said to be in the world from the beginning. Kalclok is the face of arcanatom that never changes. The god of eternity. The world we stand on.
The stranger- the god of endings, change, death, fear, and time. Said to be the one thing everything fears. The first forgotten god.
Nux- the god of fleeting thought, unknown, obscure, hidden, night, darkness, femininity and potential. The god who is caught in an eternal chase with lumas, a fleeting idea who can never be grasped.
Lumas- the god of knowledge, discovery, day, light, revelations, factual, known, masculinity and the chase. The god who is caught in an eternal chase with Nux, the revelation that must be made.
“It is the light that chases the darkness away. Makes the unknown, known. The light that reveals the truth but removes all potential.”
~ Capherial (Ahoolial Priest)
Some believe Nux and Kalclok to be the same being, or Lumas and the stranger. The pairing of unknown and stillness, of obscured and unchanging, or of discovery and change, of knowledge and time. Because of this often times their realms may seem to stretch into the idea of the other, and their names may seem to affect each others realms.
“Here runs the sands of time. Yet sand doesn’t run, it is pushed. So shouldn’t it be called the winds of time?”
~ Pisirus Mar (Ravian Comedian)
This is especially important when discussing the creation of the other gods. As some believe it is where the realms of the four gods meet that new gods are born. Their names are sealed into the universe just waiting to be learned by mortals.
Some god’s names have yet to be found while others have been found but have been forgotten for various reasons. Some gods were forgotten because they were considered too dangerous to know. Others were forgotten because other gods wanted them removed from the world. Some were forgotten because they were simply considered unimportant by the people.
For the most part however in the image above the gods labeled as ‘forgotten names’ were forgotten with good reason. These forgotten names are considered the Blights of the universe. Powers too terrible to play with, gods too corrupt to allow to run free. Because of this many societies have erased their names and destroyed their temples in trying to save the world from them.
“There is one thing gods, animals and men all fear and it is Time.”
~ Unknown Lumani Scholar
But these gods cannot be erased and because of that they sit and wait for someone to call them again so that they might be returned to the world.

Time Frame: 7.29.2022; evening. A/N: Luna & Khamani try to have some time together at Comic Con but little Cannon has other plans! *NSFW Warning!* @detkhamani
Luna: Luna looked up at Khamani when Cannon rested his head against hers. Her smile grew from ear to ear as she captured the moment in a selfie before pulling his comforter over his frame. "Did you have fun today, Cannon?" She looked over to Khamani who was on the toddler's other side and smiled. "Thank you, boys for making it out to see me."
Khamani: With ComiCon behind them and his investigative work done for the trip, Khamani was glad to be relaxing in the hotel with Luna and Cannon for the night. When Luna asked Cannon if he had fun today, the little boy answered, "Uh-huh. There were a lotta superheroes today." Khamani could tell that he was tired or else he likely would have said more, but when he rested his head on Luna and his eyes drooped, he knew that it wouldn't be long before Cannon was asleep. At Luna's 'thank you', Khamani cast her a soft smile, "Our pleasure, babe. You did a great job with everything. Next time, we'll have to try and come for the full weekend."
Luna: "A lot. That's very true. And now you have so many autographs!" Luna had gotten Cannon so many things and had excitedly walked around the floor with him and her boyfriend. She smiled at Khamani's words, finding it was nice to hear that these two were forever in her life now. "I hope so." She hummed a soft Spanish baby song, arranging Cannon's Black Panther plushie beside him but not before making the plush kiss his nose. "Good night, Prince Cannon. Wakanda Forever." She hoped he'd fall asleep soon.
Khamani: Khamani stayed at Cannon's side, an arm draped over his head and resting along Luna's shoulders while she sang the little boy to sleep. Cannon's blinking grew slower and slower, and the light tickle to his nose from the plush Black Panther kiss made a smile appear and sleepily fade from his lips. Whispering to Luna, "You're a natural with him," he smiled and then looked down to Cannon again, deciding to wait a few minutes before attempting to get up from the bed. And after some time passed, Khamani carefully rose from the bed, bent to affectionately press his nose to the top of Cannon's cornrowed head, and then righted himself, holding a hand to Luna so that they could leave the room together. He shut the light off, letting the natural moonlight keep his son from being in complete darkness, and then quietly closed the bedroom door behind them. With an arm wrapped around Luna's waist, he admitted, "You know, I was pretty worried when I first found out he was mine. Not just because of everything it meant for him and for me, but for us too. I know you didn't ask for all this, but you made it clear you'd be here. And you have been." Tightening his hold on her waist a bit, he bent to kiss her forehead and then her lips in a passion-filled kiss. When he pulled away from it, he murmured, "I love you for a lot of things, Luna, but being here for Cannon like you've been? It's easily one of the biggest reasons now."
Luna: Once Cannon had fallen asleep into what looked like a nice deep slumber, Luna took Khamani's hand to stand up, a soft smile forming on her lips. She looked over her shoulder to check in one last time and in that moment, she couldn't believe how much she adored that little guy. "Yeah?" Luna looked up at Khamani and shook her head. "There was no thinking about this one thing. You were going to step up and I as your partner was going to do the same. He deserves a safe upbringing. I'll help you make sure he gets it." She turned in his embrace, tip-toeing to wrap her arms around her boyfriend's neck, and welcomed his kiss, realizing how much she missed this the last couple of days. Luna looked up at him as he spoke after pulling away from their kiss and smiled. "Ohhhh do you looooveeee me?" She sang the famous lyrics from Ms. Congeniality. "You think I'm gorgeous, you want to kiss me..." Luna giggled softly. "It's how I feel about seeing you with him."
Khamani: "I can't say for sure, but I don't think there's a lot of people out there who would jump in and help raise a kid like you have," Khamani said. Luna could have easily put a boundary in place and let Cannon be more of his and Taylor's responsibility, and he wouldn't have faulted her for it. Instead, she loved and treated Cannon like he was theirs. She was an incredible woman. At her sing-song response following their kiss, Khamani softly grinned and playfully rolled his eyes, "I'm over here tryna be romantic with you and you Sandra Bullock me." He chuckled low and kissed the groove of her neck before drawing back to look in her eyes again. "It’s been a lot easier for me, being a father now, with you in our lives. So thank you, Sunshine."
Luna: "Well, the same can be said about your situation, baby. You did the right thing and I'm so proud of you but thank you." Luna had always wanted to be a mom and had discussed with Khamani how hopeful she had been on the island when she thought she was expecting. Even though it worked out for the best, it cemented the fact that she had always wanted to be a parent. Having Cannon around had only ignited that. How could anyone not fall in love with that little boy? Chuckling at Khamani's response, she couldn't help but think about how she had chosen the perfect man for herself. No one had ever embraced her quirks as much as he had. Luna closed her eyes as Khamani kissed her neck. He knew exactly what he was doing having learned that was one of her weak spots. "Well, I don't plan on leaving. You're stuck with me..."
Khamani: Khamani smiled at Luna and just proceeded to kiss her. She really was his better half--kind, loving, brilliant, affirming and so much more. It boggled him that she had ever been on the island but he was selfishly grateful she was, and that she had given him another chance at being as close to the person she deserved to have as a partner as he could be. "Stuck with you, huh? Poor me," he joked in a husky tone before lowering his hands on her and lifting her up so he didn't have to bend so much. Holding her to his front with his hands cradled to her rear, he kissed her jaw and captured her lips while walking down the short hallway to the suite room that they were sharing that night. He pushed the door open with his back and then turned around to walk to the bed, all the while kissing Luna. He paused only long enough to ask, "Should I show you just how devastated I am to be stuck with you..?" before proceeding to kiss back down the column of her neck towards her chest.
Luna: "Truly." She grinned mischievously and giggled when he picked her up, mindful of not being too loud so they don't wake Cannon up in the next room in the suite. This has probably been the longest stretch of time that Khamani and Luna haven't messed around. Between both their demanding jobs and everything else happening around them, the last couple of days have been rough and even though it hasn't been an insanely long time, Luna had to admit she missed him like this. Luna wrapped her arms around her man, nipping at his bottom lip playfully before fully capturing his lips with hers. "Please. I'd like details." She giggled again when they reached the bed only to be silenced by her own moans as Khamani trailed kisses along her neck and chest.
Khamani: Hearing Luna's giggle made Khamani softly grin against her lips. And when she encouraged him to continue, he bent to set Luna to the bed on her back, his hands roaming along her curves and occasionally catching on the hems of her pajamas. The two of them hadn't had sex in some time but Khamani was all too prepared to make up for it tonight. He kissed and playfully nipped along her collar for a moment and then pulled his ribbed tank up and off, tossing it somewhere to the floor. As he started to run a hand up under her pajama shirt while kissing some more at the groove of her neck, he groaned from the pleasure of hearing Luna's moans again. His large hand hiked her shirt up to one side while lifting his head to tell her, "You're so damn gorgeous, Sunshine." And from there, he proceeded to kiss a trail from just below her belly button and up to tend to her breast with his lips and tongue.
Luna: Luna pulled Khamani down by the waistband of his pajama pants, wanting nothing more than to have all of him in any way she could but Khamani had already seen right through her. Her gaze met his when he lifted his head and she smiled, reaching to caress the back of his head, her fingers tracing shapes against his skin. She bit the bottom of her lip, still very mindful of the fact that she needed to keep somewhat quiet. Dragging her nails along his neck, Luna moaned softly the moment she felt his mouth on her breast. "I've missed you."
Khamani: The contact from Luna--the tugging and nipping and tracing--all made Khamani shudder and sigh with pleasure. He teased her pebbling tit, muttering, "I've missed you too," against her smooth, soft skin and intended to pay attention to her other breast when he heard a soft, "I can't sleep," a short distance behind him.
Khamani could have jumped out of his skin with how fast he flew off of Luna but when one of his feet hit the ground, it pressed onto his discarded tank. He slipped and fell back with an inadvertently hissed, "Shit!", his ass and then his back hitting the floor. The arousal that had started to build in him had never left him as fast as it did but he scrambled to turn off of his back and face Cannon. "H-heyy, little man. Sorry. Uh... you couldn't sleep?"
Cannon shook his head, clutching his new Black Panther plush and innocently asked, "What are you doing?"
Luna: As soon as she heard the tiny voice, Lunayelped, rolling to the floor so she can give herself time to think, pulling her pajama top down and overhearing Khamani's conversation with Cannon. When asked what he was doing, she quickly removed her earring and held it up, standing up with a smile.
"Found it!" A giant smile appeared on her face and she crouched down to meet Cannon at eye level. "You dad was just helping me put my earring on and it fell. We were looking everywhere for it. Are you okay, little C? What's wrong?"
Khamani: While Cannon answered, all Khamani could think to do was thank the heavens for Luna's quick thinking. His breathing was slowly evening back out and for a moment he glanced over his shoulder to meet Luna's eyes.
But as soon as he faced forward again, he listened as his son said, "I woke up and you were gone."
Letting out a sympathetic sigh, Khamani waved his son over, wrapping him into his arms. "Hey, I'm sorry about that. I know you didn't sleep well when you first stayed the night at my place." When he loosened his hold on Cannon to look at him, he asked, "Do you wanna... you wanna stay in here with me and Luna tonight?" And he wasn't the least bit surprised when Cannon nodded yes. Giving him a soft smile, Khamani stood while lifting the three year-old in his arms. "Alright, bud. Up you go." He turned casting Luna a silent, apologetic gaze while setting Cannon onto the edge of the raised bed, standing behind him to make sure that he didn't fall off of it like his dad had.
Luna: "Oh." She pouted and looked over to Khamani, shaking her head as if saying it was okay. It really was okay. How could she ever say no to that little boy? "Bud, do you want me to sleep in the next room so you and your dad can take the giant bed?" She smiled widely at him and crouched down. She would understand if he did. Luna was very new to Cannon. Even if they met first, she didn't want to make things too overwhelming. When Khamani lifted him and plopped him on the bed, she sat at the edge and pulled the comforter over him. "I can sing you back to sleep?"
Khamani: Cannon seemed to consider Luna's question but hadn't spoken an answer. Instead, he crawled along the large bed towards its middle and burrowed the lower half of his body beneath the sheet, blanket and the comforter Luna pulled up for him. "Cannon, are you cool with Luna staying here too?" Khamani asked, trying again at Luna's first question. This time, Cannon nodded and then looked up at Luna in the dark. Khamani picked up his discarded top and pulled it back on while walking around the bed so he could climb back onto one side. Once he'd settled into the bed, Cannon turned into Kahmani's side with the Black Panther plush still gripped between his small fingers. "Luna can sing," he said with the sleepiness still in his small voice. "I dunno what she's says when she sings. But I like when she sings" Over the little boy's head, Khamani looked to his girlfriend and smiled, and then dipped his head to kiss the top of his son's head.
Luna: When she got the green light from Cannon, Luna moved to lie down on the side she had been sitting on, smiling at Khamani when he climbed into bed. She chuckled softly at Cannon's words and pulled the comforter higher up for him so he was all snuggly. "If you want, I can teach you some words through song..."
She cleared her throat. "Verde Rana." She sang, "Cielo, azul, el sol amarillo, brilla igual que tu!" She smiled and then added, "In English, it goes. Frog, Green. Sky, blue. The sun yellow shines just like you." She tapped his nose gently with her finger and chuckled. "How's that?"
Khamani: While Khamani settled in on the bed next to Cannon, he listened to Luna and watched as his son watched Luna, smiled and then shut his eyes. The little boy squeezed his closed eyes and smiled when Luna gently bopped his nose with her finger. Soon after, he yawned around his smile and sleepily mumbled, "Blue, sky. Frog, green..." Khamani softly chuckled and whispered to Luna, "I think you guys will have to try again another time." Leaning a little towards his girlfriend, he suggestively added, "That goes for us too, Sunshine."
Luna: "That's okay." Luna looked over to Cannon and then Khamani. "We have plenty of time to learn Spanish. Time for plenty of things in the future with both of you, " She spoke in a gentle tone and then shifted to look up at the ceiling. "This is also nice. Did you have fun today?"
Khamani: Khamani smiled a bit, feeling fairly sure that Cannon was going to be back to sleep in no time. He held an arm around the little boy's shoulders and kept his eyes on his girlfriend. His voice stayed low as he answered her. "Yeah. I only had a small idea of what to expect, but actually being at the convention was something else. And you help coordinating all of it is..." He shook his head. "Let's just say I continue to be blown away by you, babe."
Luna: "I'm so glad you liked it. We should do cons more often then" Luna rolled to their side for a better look of Khamani. A smile pulled at the corner of their lips. She loved how proud Khamani seemed to be of her. "Well the interns were amazing this year even if they drove me to drunk once or twice." She chuckled softly. "I'm just glad I had you here and Cannon too. I bet he didn't know where to look first. Tomorrow I want him to meet Chris!"
Khamani:With a small nod, Khamani said, "I'd be up for that if my schedule lets me join you. Still not dressing up though." He threw a soft smile her way after his last statement and then listened to her talk about the support she had to get through coordinating the convention. "Yikes. Well you made it through. Just one more day to go, right?" At her suggesting that Cannon meet Chris, Khamani let his head fall back on his pillow so he could look up at the ceiling in thought. "Maybe. I'd like him to meet Chris too, but... I dunno if doing it at a convention's the best way to go about it." He turned his head a little to look at Luna to explain, "Chris is a great guy and I have no doubt he'll be great when he meets Cannon. But Cannon's shy and has been meeting a lot of folks in a short amount of time. And isn't Chris busy the whole convention? Having them meet for the first time when a bunch of fans are lined up, geeking out and all that... it might overwhelm him." He thought about it some more and then said, "I'm thinking it might go over better back home.
Luna: She chuckled when her boyfriend said he wouldn't dress up. "Fiinnee," Luna whispered playfully. "One more day and then it calms down before I head to New York for a couple of days." When Khamani responded about Cannon meeting Chris, she came to the realization that he was right. It would be in fact way too much for the little guy. "You know what, you're right." She smiled at him. "You are so good at this dad thing. You know that?" She looked down at Cannon who was now fast asleep and sighed happily. "You're both so lucky to have each other. And me the luckiest to have you both." She turned on her side to face Khamani, Cannon sleeping away in between them. "How about we wake up a bit earlier tomorrow get room service breakfast and hang out just us three bck here until I'm called on the floor?"
Khamani: Khamani gave a light chuckle, knowing he wasn't completely convinced but aloud he said, "Apparently the dad thing is spending ninety percent of my time thinking about whether or not I'm doing the right thing for him." He stared up at the room's ceiling, knowing that that was a large part of how he felt he was as a parent while still finding it all so new. While feeling Luna's gaze on him, his head turned on the pillow and he looked at her. "Sure, that sounds good. Maybe get some pancakes or something for Cannon. He'd probably like that, being something sweet and all that. I was thinking of taking him down to the pool before heading back to the convention with you. I don't think he's been in a pool before we went to LA and I took him to the one in the hotel there."
Luna: "Well, that's how you know you're a good dad." Luna offered him a soft smile. "Just the fact that you're thinking about that means you're probably doing more than the right thing for him." She listened to Khamani and nodded her agreement to get pancakes. "That sounds delicious. He will absolutely love that and the pool is a good idea!" She looked down at Cannon and smiled once more. "How do you think you two are getting along? He looks so comfortable with you."
Khamani: "Thanks for that, babe," Khamani said. He'd hoped Luna was right about the way he'd been approaching parenting thus far. "The room service is a great idea. And yeah, I think he'll like that." He thought about Luna's question for a moment and then lightly shrugged one shoulder so not to jostle Cannon too much. "I think things are going well. Or at last I hope they are. He seems like he's gotten more comfortable around me, yeah, trusting me and talking to me a little more outside of 'yes' or 'no' answers. And you've seen us. So... you know." He cracked a half smile and then said, "I think things will be okay."
Luna: She smiled sleepily at Khamani and then looked down once more at Cannon before leaving a soft kiss against the top of his head. "Good. That's what I like to hear. and yeah, from what I can tell, he is definitely warming up to you." She reached across and above Cannon's head to Khamanic and brushed his cheek with her knuckles. "We'll get a bunch of pancakes and fruit and whatever he wants." Her eyes were getting heavy and she closed them as she continued caressing Kamani's cheek.
Khamani: "You're sweet for wanting to spoil him," Khamani whispered, lightly smiling over at Luna. He leaned into her touch and watched as she started to grow even more sleepy. Turning his head slightly, he pecked the inside of her hand and then whispered, "Get some sleep, Sunshine." And from there, he'd committed himself to watching her fall asleep, hoping it would be a restful one for her and for Cannon.
