Everyone on the ship coming to (correct) conclusions that Luffy has no sexual motivations, so Zoro, who has minimal sexual motivations and they're almost all entirely functional (i.e. he woke up with a boner and rubbed one out), kinda stares at Luffy in befuddlement for a few seconds after his captain randomly asks if he ever thinks about sex.

And when pushed for further explanation, Luffy explains that he was wondering what it is about sex that makes Sanji always wander off with random girls when they dock at a port for supplies, and how you're even supposed to do that anyway, because he knows what sex is and how you do it, he just doesn't get why people do it or how they pick the people they want to do it with, and he's curious!

And what Sanji told him is that he finds someone he thinks is pretty and asks them, and Luffy thinks Zoro is pretty, so...

Zoro's like "are you asking?" and Luffy is just bobblehead nodding until Zoro shrugs and says fine and that's how the story of their (first) hookup.
