I have a question since I’m not sure if you have answered this before. What would happen if Lucky fell in love with one of the strawhats? like is there anything that would change the dynamic between her and the crew? I feel like some crew members or all of them (not Sanji) don’t give much thought into romantic partner but hey if it keeps them from leaving then it’s a win-win situation that they’re willing to exploit.
Could be a one sided love on Lucky’s part or mutual. I just wanna know how they’ll go about it? Like the upside and downside to this particular situation.
While I do intend to keep her and the crew exclusively platonic, this is a fun idea to play around with. Lucky falling in love with one of the Straw Hats would probably be ideal all things considered, and Luffy wouldn't take issue with it because she's still on the ship.
There are really only two Straw Hats that I could see this working with.
One is Sanji because while he is content to have their whole relationship be one sided flirting from him, he would pounce at the opportunity to be with her for real if she ever reciprocated it. He already dotes on her as is, but now he's attached to her hip and really only gives her space when one of the others runs off with her. He doesn't love when this happens, but he knows that they aren't going to take her away or anything so he can accept it.
The other one would be Zoro because I think that they have the most chemistry. They'd be one of those couples where no one that doesn't personally know them would be able to tell that they're together... Until they start bickering about something in which case then anyone in earshot would think they're an old married couple. They work well off each other and Lucky keeps him from wandering off and getting himself into more trouble than he needs to be in.
For the most part the rest of the crew accepts this as is since the two seem happier for it and it helps cement Lucky's stay on board. Luffy doesn't really get the appeal, but learns to go with it when he puts together that weddings tend to have a lot of food at them. Then suddenly he's butting into their alone time to ask when they're getting married and how much meat is going to be at the wedding. Do y'all need a ring? He'll go find one brb
