speaking of the musical scoring in bloodborne, everyone recognizes ludwigs theme as one of, if not the best pieces of soulsborne music but the music that plays when you encounter the cleric beast at the very start of the game goes crazy. and when it comes back in laurence's fight its literally enough to bring me to tears

#ludwig the accursed & holy blade. the first hunter. hail the nightmare. and cleric beast theme. absolute fav pieces #everything from the lyrics the pacing and the evocative feelings and atmosphere is so well thought out and executed #the way the choir is often reaching out and speaking to you directly about what youre doing and who youre fighting. the way the sections #start out composed and reminiscent of a holy mass and then start to descend into something twisted and terrifying #anyway the scoring for this game is genius ok ok ok
