Jared solo panel May 18th 2019:

Jared had heard himself Dubbed when he was in China, and met his Argentina met his "sexy and handsome" voice duber.

Question about if we'll see Jared play more music and what does music mean to him.

Jared: we have so many outrageously musically talented people on the show, and I do love to play but I wouldn't want to waste anybody's time and I am not a musician. Rob, Billy and Jensen are rock stars.

Question: which childhood memories make you smile?

Jared (starts giggling a lot) his best memories as an adult mimic those of being a kid.

The world should focus on the best of people and it would make the world better. The innocence of just trying to have a good time and be a good person.

Queation: was Sam able to reconcile with John because he could grow up and mature independently of John so he could recognise his faults in what happened

Jared: yes and no. People don't objectively have to go through things to find themselves in a position to make it right. [...] I feel everyone has the power to make peace with their demons right now.

Mentions filming with JDM he had to walk away as he was crying.

Question: what will you do after?

Jared: not direct, maybe produce or cool guest arcs on other shows.

He doesn't want input on Sam until the last moment. He doesn't want to write or direct season 15. He wants to protect Sam and do him justice.

He hasn't watched much of the show. "I'll protect Sam."

Question: why did Sam and Dean act so differently to losing their mom for a second time.

Sam: great question. Sam was really losing his mother for the first time. He wanted to keep doing what they were doing and help people. Dean knew his mom and lost her already so it re-opened the wound. He was like a horse being kicked again. Where as Sam was losing a friend he'd known maybe a couple of years, not to belittle the relationship.

Jared doesn't know what to do with his hair after. But he'd like to be unrecognisable. Grow his hair and his beard so he can give people a big hug when he sees fans.

Question: is Sam and Rowena's relationship going anywhere?

Jared: I think it is like Sam and Jack's - two powerful beings who can help each other. I don't feel Sam is looking for more friends. He isn't Jack's dad or brother, he keeps him at arm's length. It is a bit like Sam and Rowena. I would love to see more Dean and Rowena and Cas and Rowena. We only have 20 episodes left to flesh this out.

"I'll cry harder than all of y'all when the show ends, I promise you."

Question: scary episode to film beyond Bugs and why did the show stop making scary episodes?

Jared: we found a storyline that made sense for the long-term. Once we had Misha and my wife, angels and demons, the show found deeper meaning than this and that scary thing.

Question: does a part of Sam wish he'd killed Lucifer?

Jared: I honestly feel like Sam is happier his brother did that for him. The joy Dean got from killing Lucifer usurped the joy Sam had doe revenge. Something I learned from Supernatural: The best part of revenge is realising you never really needed it. Sam was happier for someone else's success. If you can find that happiness in someone else's success you'll never be unhappy.

Question about Tedtalk Sam, how was his experience and did he have fun doing it?

Jared: the Ted talk thing? The pants were really tight. The glasses prescription, it was really fun to shoot.
