listen to me. no listen to me. we already kind of knew that whoever becomes king is going to have pretty much total control over the ancient weapons (and i’m saying that with heavy quotation marks bc like. poseidon is a sixteen year old girl, and that’s a whole other can of worms that begs a slew of other questions) but the world as a whole didn’t, and the revs are all about keeping power in check. luffy’s one of the top contenders for the one piece. sabo knows him and knows he doesn’t care about power, ivankov knows him, dragon’s his father who stepped away to keep him safe, and koala and hack have met him, but the rest of the revs know jack shit. this is the perfect time for dragon to finally mobilize and for the story to put sabo on the spot, because now his loyalties are torn. son of the revolution he may be, but luffy’s his little brother.
