Lucas made it out of his 2nd open heart surgery at just 23 days old! He’s recovery well so far. Mommy’s little Lionheart is such a fighter! Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect in the world! 1 in 100 babies are born with some form of CHD. Lucas has a critical CHD, Double-Outlet Right Ventricle, Mitral Atresia, Coarctation of the Aortic Arch & Sub-Aortic crowding. The last two defects have been corrected during his 2 open heart surgery procedures. PLEASE pray for our baby boy, last night we found out that he needs to undergo yet another open heart surgery immediately... we thought we were just days away from being discharged & his last echo showed severe narrowing on the backside of his aorta... I’m at such a loss right now, I just want to take my baby home... He’ll go back to the OR around noon...
