Tank:

Stereotypical diesel: big and pretty

Has bad eyesight and hearing, the result of harmful eugenics in his family

A rather feminine guy at his core, hides this from most people

About 6'5", long blonde hair, blue eyes, a bit more of a soft appearance than the rest of the gang

Gender nonconforming and pansexual

Lube:

No human knows if he's real or not, they think he's something like Mothman or Bigfoot. He finds this very funny

His face looks like a skull, this isn't a style choice he just was made like that

Strangely emotional intelligent for a "Diesel"

About 6'1", black hair that he's always changing up, green eyes, weirdly long nails

Greaseball knows Lube is a cryptid and has a good grasp on how cryptids tend to interact with mortal trains. Lude doesn't know that he knows. He doesn't know how Lube 'feeds'. But he knew the signs to watch for in diesels for if a cryptid is getting 'too greedy in their feeding habits'. He never saw any of those signs in Tank or Gear so he didn't make a deal about it. But he doesn't know those signs in steam engines tho and so was very leery about Rusty and Lube getting together, keeping a close watch whenever they were together. He relaxed after Poppa remarked how Rusty looked healthier then he had in years

Greaseball loves to have Tank do his hair. Which can be kind of hilarious because he also loves to have Rusty play with it. the amount of times he'll get his hair perfectly coiffed by Tank, take two steps, see Rusty and go "Head rubs pls?". Tank just can't with him some days.

Rusty is a good 5'' shorter at minimum then his boyfriends and finds this very annoying. The good thing is diesel necks tend to be very ticklish and he can climb them like a tree. Whenever he's peeved with them he just starts scaling. It is rather hilarious to see a big tough diesel running around the yard screaming "NO! NO! Babe, I'm SORRY!" while a steam engine with the most serious expression ever climbs his body like a koala and starts tickling him.

Greaseball, as the alpha diesel, has reserved the right to hold Rusty against his chest during sleep cuddles. The gang are allowed to do so on Tuesdays, Saturdays as well if it's a special occasions. They take turns. Rusty couldn't stop laughing for three days when he found the 'Rusty Cuddling Schedule'.

@storyweaverofgondor I just realized that Lube and Greaseball’s name mean the same thing (Lube and Grease) so I propose: Greaseball, after Dinah dumped him: Maybe I should go for a new coach...

Lube: Yes, quite, or you could “go for” the friend that has always adored you that you have taken for granted-

Greaseball:

Well, @storyweaverofgondor, it was an inevitability for me to come up w hcs for Greaselube-

They initially got together when Dinah kicked Greaseball out of their shed and he moved in with Lube. Lube had been pining after Greaseball since they day they met, so he snatched the opportunity up.

GB initially got with him to make Dinah jealous, which Lube was aware of, they didn’t make Dinah jealous but they never stopped dating.

Lube is an amazing cook, and Greaseball...is not, so Lube has Greaseball be the taste tester when he experiments with food (his experiments are usually him trying to incorporate some weird dark magic thing into something like bread-). 

They slow dance every weekend.

Greaseball’s nicknames for Lube are “Moonpie”, “Lubecube”, and “Creepy Cookie”

Lube’s nicknames for Greaseball are “Beloved”, and “Uncto” (Grease in Latin)

Lube is very tall and bony and Greaseball is broad and muscular but soft, so Lube runs cold and grapples onto GB at any vaguely cold night.

A lot of GB’s recovery from the crash are thanks to Lube, he didn’t try to heal him but all of the love and affection culminated in a speedier recovery.

Lube feeds off of GB’s emotions, which sounds bad at first until you realize that he eats the negative ones like narcissism and self-hatred.

Lube is a cryptid thing taking the form of a train, he is of unknown age. In spite of this, he managed to fall in love with three train boys that wriggled their ways into his heart and compelled him to give up his immortality so he wouldn't have to watch them die.

Gear has had a colorful past, namely because he was not born in a normal yard, but in a scrapyard. He has quite a bit of trauma from this, but his bfs are very devoted to helping him through it. He's still somewhat feral tho, but that makes him more fun!

Tank is the definition of a gentle giant. He is sweet and soft, with a love for feminine things. He's big enough to carry all his bfs, but he'd rather nap and snuggle than do too much lifting.

Rusty, the boy, managed to get three hawt bfs, and I love that for him.
