Disclaimer from the get go: All platonic this time! I don't like writing Wind or Wind Waker Link or many people from his games in a romantic context so don't be weird about it guys, Reader is also the same age (unless stated as older) and if anything is implied, it's only on the stage of boyish crushes and otherwise either strictly friends or sibling-like relationships for obvious reasons, if it's not stated on that context of crushes then please take it as platonic. Seriously, don't make it weird. I mean it.

On a lighter note, the Wind Waker Sages are really underrated and I would die for Medli. Makes the older sibling in me want to give her headpats.

There were some constants to Hyrule that you’ve learned over a period of time, experience and outside observation.

A Sorcerer King will inevitably rise (some times just a sorcerer, some times just a king albeit a powerful one), traveling to other worlds and times can basically be another Tuesday when that inevitably happens. Links will always be kind and at their very best when protecting others (which was equal parts heartwarming as it was exasperating, because you knew the Chain would run themselves to the ground if you didn’t keep make sure to keep an eye on them as they did one another, always giving so much of themselves away to a point you always worried there would be nothing left), and that Zelda’s were forces of nature with divinity trapped beneath their skin that should not be underestimated, for they were willing to go through any length of sacrifice for their people and kingdom even if it includes themselves.

Sages, whoever, were another matter entirely that no one can really prepare for, from Nabooru to Gulley and even the Zelda’s themselves. Wise beyond their age and always willing to lend a helping hand to the kingdom should it be needed, always one step behind the Princess in support and only closely followed by the Hero and the Sheikah, chosen seemingly at random but still more, in a way, as magic brushed against their skin with the affectionate touch of an old friend. It was honestly a little intimidating.

Which was why meeting Medli was so refreshing.

“I’m happy to meet you, I hope you’ll feel welcome here in Dragon Roost Island.” Came the sweet thrill of greeting from the young, chestnut haired Rito as she took your hand in wing, smiling gently, “My name is Medli, Link talks quite a lot about you.”

You blink, tilting your head, “Does he now? Hopefully only the good things.” You laugh, a bit awkwardly, you’d be the first to admit you’re way out of your depth ever since you were dropped into Hyrule, but you were trying your best.

She nodded enthusiastically, you think you can see her feathers ruffling from excitement, cute, “Mhm! He talks about you quite highly, in fact-“, she gets a glint in her eye.

You hop back as Wind comes in like a tempest at sea, cutting her off in offense,“Hey! You promised you wouldn’t tell!”

“Well it’s true, I’ve only ever seen you that excited about Tetra and Mask, they deserve to know.” Countered Medli, Wind crossed his arms with a small ‘hmph!’.

“Would you like it if I did the same about Komali?”

Medli gasped, feathers puffing up in surprise and almost dropping her harp with a stern squawk which you quickly dove to catch, exhaling with relief, it looked important to her, “You wouldn’t!”

“I would!”

“But it would just distract him!”

“Don’t care, you spill my secrets I spill yours!”

You couldn’t help it, you laughed, patting their heads on instinct. Can anyone blame you? They’re precious. “Alright, alright, settle down. Why don’t you guys show me around? You did mention a nice dragon lived here, Link.”

Medli immediately brightened up, excitedly diving into all the information she could about Lord Valoo, as he was called, while Wind took your hand and dragged you along.

Mhm, you quite like Medli.

LU September art things I noticed:

Main archer Wild getting the focus he deserves. Oh, and flexing on us mortals by preparing to dish out three arrows

Nice detail of all the lefties holding their bows one way, while right handed Sky and Wild hold it the other

Some like Hyrule hold their bow with a fist, others like Legend stick out a finger. To help with checking the trajectory?

I love that Time, Warriors, Twilight and Wild's bows look kinda similar

What enemy could prompt such an assault? Look at their faces!

Except Sky; I've never seen him look so calm and almost smug. Might this be an enemy from his world he knows how to deal with...?

I think either Time or Sky would make the call on when to let the arrows loose: "Ready? Aim! FIRE!"

"Woah, woah, woah. We just had my eighteenth birthday, and now you are leaving to go see some stupid flying monstrosities in Sky's Hyrule?"

"Loftwings. They're called Loftwings."

"You're avoiding the question! You can't just leave me here. We've barely done anything together. You're always so busy spending time with the others..."

"Your birthday was six months ago. I've been planning to go to Sky's Hyrule for three years. Every time I try to go, something bad happens—those strange storms, you getting badly injured while traveling with The Chain, Legend almost drowning."

"Well, well... fuck Sky! Fuck him. Fuck the rest of The Chain. I've waited so long to have you all for myself! Do you know how much the others teased me for having a crush on you? 'You're too young, Wind. They would want someone experienced like Time or Legend.' So what if you are a few years older than me? We can still make it work!"

"Please, calm down. This is why they say those things. You're like my brother I—"

"Shut up! I am not your brother. I am your lover! I've spent so much time with you. I've spent so many rupees on gifts for you. I even showed you how to sail! Does that mean nothing to you?"

"I'm just not into you. You aren't my type, Wind. Sorry."

"You don't mean that, love. You don't mean that. I understand it. I understand what's happened. Their words have twisted your mind against me. It's okay! It's okay! Just stay with me; love me. I'll show you what a good boyfriend I can be. How amazing of a husband I will be! We'll tell our kids this story someday and sit back and have a nice laugh."

What if... through time/portal shenanigans, Eldritch!Chain met Wing!Wild for a shift

Traveling through time? Check. Meeting alternate versions of a hero? Also check. Legend sits up in his bedroll and stares at Wild. Or…not-Wild. Not their creepy vibes Wild. No, this one is crouched by the fire, cooking what looks like bugs. Oh, and he’s got wings. Because yeah, that’s how this day is going to go.

Legend points, which is rude, but so is dealing with this so early in the morning. “Who are you?”

Not-Wild looks up and honest-to-Hylia chirps at him. Yeah. No. He’s not dealing with this alone. The vet leans across and whacks at Twilight’s bed roll. “Fix this!”

The rancher blinks slowly, entirely too comfortable. “Mornin’. Cub cookin?”

“He’s weird now. What did you do?”

“Me?” Twilight blinks again and sits up, turning to the fire. “Whadja–oh.”

“Yeah. Oh.”

They both stare at the not-Wild. The person? Bird? Avian? Ruffles feathers and fluffs his wings up around his ears at their stare.

Twilight cheats and slaps Time awake. “Somthin’s goin on.”

By the time the old man extracts himself from the bedding, everyone else is awake and staring as well. Time manages an impassive face pretty well, but his tells give him away. The vein next to his eye is twitching. 

“Good morning.”

Bird boy whistles again and looks at his pan. “Breakfast is almost ready.”

“Er, right.” Time shares a helpless glance with Twilight. Goddesses, they really make the vet do all the work, don’t they?

“Hey, kid. Where did you come from? Where’s our Wild?”

He cocks his head and flutters his wings. “I’m with you for now, I guess.”

“Who said?”

“Hylia.”

Well, shit. She would inflict some kind of dimensional weirdness on them. 

Wild gives the pan a shake and waves Four over. “Here. You can have half,” he stresses.

Four sidles closer, the wariness growing to confusion as, likely, he doesn’t feel the need to run for the hills. Then he glances in the pan. “Are those bugs?”

“Yeah. Got some nice crunchy bees.” The avian pops one in his mouth and crunches and oh–Legend would like his weird Wild back. Sure he eats animals whole but they aren’t…bugs. “I’ve got a nice big spider we can split, want some of the legs?”

Four blanches and skitters away to the other side of the clearing. Insane-Wild turns his attention on Warriors. “Catch!” Then he chucks something that smacks the captain in the face. Warriors shrieks and flails. The thing falls to the ground. Wild chatters in what must be disappointment. “That was good quality meat!”

“You threw it in my face!”

“Yeah?”

“I have meat juice. On my face.”

“...why didn’t you catch it?”

The captain joins Four on the other side of the clearing. Most of the others back up as well. 

Twilight makes the next move, coming to stand by Wing Boy. Wild sidles away. Twilight shuffles closer. The champion sidles away again. They continue the weird shuffle all the way around the fire as Wild’s wings get higher and higher. Finally, he gives a strange tsksksks and bites the rancher on the arm.

Now Twilight is yelping and hopping away. “What was that for!”

Wild eyes him, wings ruffled. “Too close. You know better.”

“Nah, I don’t!” He rubs his arm with a truly wounded like. Like a kicked puppy. Fitting, considering his transformation.

Sky steps into the fray, but his eyes are glued to the wings. “Is your nickname still Wild?” he asks, only he’s addressing the wingbone rather than the boy attached to it.

“...yeah.”

“Your wings are beautiful! They remind me of my loftwing.”

Wild loosens slightly, wings drooping. “Yeah, your loftwings are cool.”

The chosen hero, because he has rocks for brains, reaches out and pats some feathers. Wild shrieks and explodes off the ground. His wings kick up clouds of dust and he launches straight up, then flaps into a tree and balances on a branch, hissing down at them. Sky is left blinking in confusion, hand still outstretched. 

It takes a good ten minutes for Wild to flutter back down, during which the bugs have been moved out of sight and eggs and potatoes set to cooking in a new pan. 

Legend watches from the corner of his eye as Wild paces around the edge of the group, then zeroes in on where he sits with Hyrule. He gives a funny bird call and trots over, shoving his way between them. 

“Hey!” Hyrule moves entirely, annoyed at being ousted from his seat. Legend gets a face full of feathers which he doesn’t dare push away. 

The avian trills again, wings pulling in tighter.

“Wild,” Legend says, or tries, muffled by feathers. “We don’t know what you want.”

He chatters at them both. “Force of habit.”

“To steal seats?” Hyrule’s prickly, both because he hasn’t had his morning tea, and because his fae sensibilities have been offended.

“Not stealing.” Wild’s attention is caught by the bag at his feet and he dives for it.

“Hands off!” Time jumps for it as well and a wrestling match begins before Wild lets go of the bag. The old man falls back on his butt and masks spill everywhere. 

Everyone tenses as the fierce Deity mask lands in the dirt, but the avian ignores it to grab for a cow mask. He holds it up with a grin. “This is my favorite.”

Time is still sputtering and Hyrule grabs some of the masks, passing them over. “You can’t just–take things!”

Bird boy blinks back, the picture of innocence. On the other side of the clearing, Twilight sulks. Warriors considers his scarf with misery; must have gotten meat juice on it. Sky’s wariness fades into resignation and he sits next to Four, who’s still a little peaky. 

This Wild inspires no strange feelings, but the absence of them is…disconcerting. It’s like a small piece of Legend’s awareness is missing; like he grew an inch without realizing. 

Wind, who was out collecting wood after his watch enters the clearing with a cheery smile. “Good morning! What did I miss?”

The champion perks up and taps his slate, pulling out a crab and tossing it at the sailor. The crab is, unfortunately, still alive. And angry at being thrown before breakfast–or to be breakfast. The crab attaches itself to Wind with vengeance. 

Wind starts screaming.

Legend closes his eyes to the chaos. Hylia, please give them their old Wild back. Nothing is worth this much chaos in the morning.

So Four right. He's like actually four people in one body. Like a bunch of toddlers in a trench coat. Anyways that's not the point, i think he talks to himself out loud. Or atleast used to.

Before he met the chain right, just imagine hes doin his own thing in the forge, minding his own business and then all the sudden he yells at the top of his lungs

"FUCK YOU! BLUEBERRIES ARE FUCKING PURPLE"

what's actually going on, is Red and Blue are having an argument while Green is finishing work. Vio has a fucking headache because he absolutely hates his brothers sometimes

They do split and do the whole "oh lets swap clothes to see if anyone noticed" thing twins do. But ×4

Twilight can tell because that man will transform into wolfie to figure it out

Wind definitely plays along, but it gets irritating really quick because he'll randomly shout out, "ARE YOU GUYS TWINS?!?!?!"

Yeaaaaaa.....moving on-

The rest of the chain? Legend doesn't give a shit until Wars makes a bet. Then he's all over the colors trying to figure out which ones which because he is not about to lose a bet to WARS of all people

Wild, Hyrule, Sky, and Time? Probably dont care. In fact, i think it would go like this;

"Huh.....anyways-"

Please please I have to know about the theater students AU, do any of the links ever forget they have a weird/silly prop or costume piece on an just walk around campus with it? It happened to me all the time!

Absolutely! It happens more times than you would think.

The one most of the boys joke about, unsurprisingly, took place when they were producing The Play That Goes Wrong.

Around that time, finals had been keeping everyone awake until the crack of dawn, or until they eventually crashed in odd spots of the theater.

Legend came in early for a costume fitting and had to wear a fake mustache. Maybe it was a sleep-deprived accident, or maybe it was petty revenge for something long forgotten, but Warriors didn't tell him to take it off when they finished.

He walked out the door and around campus wearing the mustache until he drank from his water bottle and felt it. It took a second for his brain to catch up, but when it did, Legend finally realized why people had been looking at him strangely in his classes.

He stormed right back to the theater and almost threw hands with Warriors while Wild and Wind cackled and recorded Legend still wearing the stash.

Over the clamor of ringing steel, explosions, and choppy waves, Four thought he heard laughter. 

We’re half-drowned at this point, Blue pointed out wryly. It’s probably a hallucination.

The deck was flooded by another wave. Four clung to the nearest rigging, then brought his sword up just in time to parry a deadly strike. The pirate across from him was missing half his teeth when he grinned. 

Actually, Green began casually, I’m pretty sure that’s—

Wind barreled into the dentally-challenged pirate with a mad cackle, eyes wide with delight. “Motherfuckers think they can take my ship? Let ‘em fuckin’ try!”

He tucked and rolled, narrowly avoiding an attack, one that if allowed would've forced the hero into permanent darkness, an everlasting restless sleep. Quickly, he got up, brandishing the sword of the Goddess, created by the original hero to defeat evil within the world for all of eternity. He let out a war cry, rushing towards the great evil which had attempted to plague the lands (or, seas) of what used to be Hyrule, before the great flood caused by the Gods and Goddesses above.

He flipped backwards as the great evils' sword sliced at him, just barely nicking his cheek. A cut formed on his cheek; white turning to red rather quickly, though the hero couldn't focus on minor injuries at the moment. He had a duty to do; a mission which he would not fail. He would defeat the great evil–

"Ughhh, what is it, Wild!?" Wind asked, irritation evident in his voice. He was trying to tell a story, but kept being interrupted by a certain group of heroes. Wind loved questions; he welcomed them, encouraged them, even. But this was just excessive, fucking hell. Wild put his hand down as he was called on, mouth opening as words fell from him. "Why do you keep calling him "the great evil"?? Why not just Ganon?" He questioned. "It's for special effect! To make the story better! Now shush and let me finish, please!" Wind answered, waiting for someone to speak up again. When no one did, he continued.

He would defeat the great evil, if it were the last thing he did. Regardless of what was to come, he would fight as though today was his last fight, and he would fuckin' win, too!

"Language," ... Some heroes would later come along and irritate the couragous hero, testing his patience...

The hero's partner and best friend would shout out to him, speaking of a plan which her mind had conjured up. A good plan, it was. He nodded, and the plan was in motion before the great evil's eyes. He flipped once more, dodging an attack with perfect precision, all thanks to hours upon hours, years upon years of practice to dodge and win this intense, diffucult fight–

"Yeah, years and years. Also known as you got a sword and had about a month." Legend snarked. Wind closed his eyes, sighing in annoyance. He reopened his eyes, looking over to the asshole who had decided that now would be a good time to be snarky. He waited for him to speak again, continuing his story when the area was met with silence.

He dodged the attack with perfection, then held up his shield he did as his partner summoned magic; a holy magic which ahd not been used by her hands in a while. He reflected the magic off of his shield, first try, thankfully. The magic struck the great evil, forcing him to freeze and giving the enemy a disadvatage for a moment. The hero, seeing said oppertunity given to him thanks to his partners' magic, rushed forward, sword in hand. He raised his sword, slicing and slashing at the being of pure hatred and evil was temporarily incapacitated. His sword cut into his torso, until finally the end was before his, his partner's, and his enemies eyes'. He ran and jumped up, sword raised high and mightily in the air, and–

He paused for dramatic effect,

And he brought it down, the sharp blade of the sword forged for the sole purpose of holding evil away from the world piercing into the flesh of the being of evil, digging into layers of fat, bone and muscle. At last, the great evil was rid from the land for the next however long, and the amazing pirate-hero and his amazing pirate-hero partner had won!

Wind took a bow, grinning. "Thank you, thank you! Amazing story, I know, I know!" He spoke.

Standing back up straight, he looked at the group of heroes who all had various mixed expressions on their faces. A grin stayed present on his face, forever proud of his actions Except couldn't he have been saved!? He was a man, the only man upon the gerudo for the past hundred years, he was just as human as he was! Couldn't he have been redeemed, what was wrong with him, WHAT DID HE DO!? WHY DID HE The grin had slipped slightly, but he made sure to bring it back up, keeping the joyful atmosphere up around him. "So, any questions, lads?" He asked.

Many hands raised at once, and Wind knew that he'd be in for a loooong night filled with questions he'd be more than willing to answer.

“I mean, I think Tetra’s really cool, and pretty, and I want to be around her all the time, and I can’t imagine my life without her, but I don’t want to… you know,” Wind said. 

“Don’t want to what?” Legend asked with a smirk. Wind’s face flushed a deep red. Legend felt it fuel him.

“ You know, ” Wind said in a hushed voice. 

“Hm, can’t say that I do,” Legend said. 

“Don’t make the kid say it,” Twilight said, elbowing Legend in the side. 

“I’m not a kid!” Wind said. 

“Say it, then,” Legend taunted. 

“Fine! I don’t want to have sex!” Wind said, voice raised to a high pitch. 

The others across the camp glanced their way, but Twilight quickly waved them away. It took all of Legend’s will power to hold in a laugh. He couldn’t resist the teasing, but this was a serious conversation, he supposed. 

Wind had his arms crossed and his flushed face turned away from Legend. Twilight glared. Legend sighed. Perhaps he went too far.

“You don’t have to want sex to be attracted to someone, you know,” Legend said. 

Wind glanced up at Legend through the corner of his eye. “I know that.”

“Wild and Hyrule are both asexual and aromantic. Sounds like you might be asexual, but not aromantic?” Twilight asked. 

Wind frowned his squiggly frown, brows furrowed in concentration. “You think so?” 

“Have you ever felt sexually attracted to someone?” Legend asked. 

“No,” Wind said. “But I’m only 13, so it might happen.”

“Do you want it to happen?” Twilight asked.

“No,” Wind answered immediately. He let his arms fall to his sides and shifted back to face Legend and Twilight.

“Well, there you go!” Legend said. 

“If ace is a label you like, you can use it for as long as you want,” Twilight said. “And if it turns out to not fit perfectly, you can adjust the words you use to describe yourself, no problem.”

“It’s that easy?” Wind asked. 

“Definitely. I change my terms, like, once a month,” Legend said. Wind finally cracked a small smile. 

“Yeah, okay. I think… I’m asexual,” Wind said. His smile grew.

“That’s great!” Twilight said with a huge grin.

“And welcome to the Queer Club! You’re now officially a member!” Legend cheered. 

Wind’s smile slipped slightly. “But… I don’t like boys, only girls. And I’m not trans.”

“You’re ace. That’s queer enough,” Legend said. 

“Any sort of different experience of attraction is enough to be in the queer community,” Twilight explained, much more patiently than Legend. 

“Hm,” Wind said. His smile returned. “Do we get any membership perks?” 

“Being sexy and cool,” Legend said. Twilight rolled his eyes as Wind giggled.

If there was one thing Wind hated more than being treated like a child, it was waiting.

Currently, he was sprawled out in the grass with his Wingull asleep beside him. Warriors had promised him that they would be able to spend time today since it was his brother's day off from being a gym leader, and yet the man was nowhere to be seen.

Wind had only just started his journey a few months ago. It’d taken ages to convince his grandmother that 14 was a perfectly fine age to go journeying in an entirely new region and that he and Wingull would be fine. He was right too! He’d even met people to journey with! Hyrule and Sky were both amazing traveling partners and Wind really wanted to introduce them to Warriors.

Wind was pulled from his musing by a head blocking his view of the sky. Hyrule stared down at him “Why are you still here? You said you were going to meet your brother at the Gym.” Wind groaned as he sat up while Hyrule moved away to the other side of their small camp they hadn’t packed up yet, his Zubat chattering from where it hid in Hyrule’s jacket. “He never showed up” Wind reached down to smooth back his partner's feathers and smiled when he received a sleepy chirp in response “I don’t think he remembered we had plans, he’s been busy with the gym way before me, Aryll, and Grandma finally moved here.” 

It had been a while since they’d actually seen each other now that Wind thought more about it. Wars had come and helped them all move into the new house but he’d had to fight tooth and nail with the league officials to get that much time off and this wouldn’t have been the first time that something popped up and Warriors had to leave plans.

Hyrule pulled Wind out of his thoughts when a wrapped sandwich was dropped onto his lap and some bowls with pokefood were placed beside Wingull, Zubat already perched on the edge of one of the bowls. “You could always go to the gym and look for him, Sky is still out doing the shopping and we can just carry his stuff with us or ask Fi to carry his pack” Wind looked back at Sky’s pokemon that he’d left to watch the camp, the Flygon sunbathing from beside the tents.

Wind hummed and that's where the conversation ended while they had lunch, Hyrule having stepped away to give Fi her food before settling back down beside Wind.

Mauville city was bustling with post-lunch shopping and Wind and Hyrule decided to stay in the courtyard while figuring out what they would do. Fi had Sky’s pack secured on her back and both Wingull and Zubat had taken up spots on her blue antenna. Hyrule suggested going to the Pokemart to look for Sky when Wind turned at the sound of hurried steps. He gasped, bolting away from the mart and towards the two men walking toward him and Hyrule. Warriors laughed as Wind crashed into him and Wind was easily scooped up by his brother. He latched onto Warriors like a Slakoth, wrapping his arms and legs around his brother and hugging him as tightly as he could.

“Wars! You’re here!” Wind cheered and pulled back far enough to grin at his brother while Wars shifted him so that Wind could be held better. “I'm sorry I’m so late. The officials wanted me to open the gym today but it was all figured out with some help” Wind looked at Sky curiously when Wars nodded toward the other man. Sky waved the comment off with a smile and with his Yanma chirping at them “I didn’t do much, just mentioned that Warriors had an important meeting today and that surely the trainers would understand.” Wind whooped and clung back to his brother “Awesome! Thanks so much Sky!” He decided he’d think more about that later though, slipping a little note onto the thought of Sky can get league officials to listen to him before wiggling and hopping down from Wars hold to drag the elder off towards one of the plazas other exits with a quick “I’ll see you guys later!” thrown over his shoulder to Sky and Hyrule. 

With Warriors lightly chastising him, Wingull landing on his shoulder, and a big smile on his face Wind knew that’d he’d finally get to enjoy the time with his brother that he so desperately missed.

Let's hope it's not a windy day

They all look happy and curious here so this is probably a fun show and tell thing and not a worried check of items because they suspect they may have been robbed

Most of the items are Legend's, most of the materials are Wild's

Not Wind trying to convince Twi to let him take the spinner out for a...spin

Sky must have seen that dragon scale right? Why is he not furiously head-hunting the poacher?

The Vio in Four reaching out for them books. Hey, he even took off his keystone chain thing, guess the others took of all their accessories?

That hunk of meat above the ladder is Hyrule's isn't it? Four is 100% gonna yeet it when he's not looking

Love how there are all these incredible fantasy weapons, then there's a normal looking ladder, shovel and just a pair of flippers

Therapy Frog lives! The little amphibious boyo who saw Wild monologue! Look at his dumb little smile! Straight vibing. Jojo being him back in future chapters pls

Does eldritch wild use those speedrunning glitches? Like shield clipping through shrines and bullet time bounce? How would the chain react to seeing wild bounce off a bokoblin's head and just go flying

No, but I'll give you this:

The battle may be in full force, but Wild leaping the height of a person to land on a bokoblin is enough to make everyone watch. The monster doesn't go down as expected. Instead, Wild's barely touched it before he's thrown from sight.

"Holy Hylia!" Wind screeches, head whipping to track the champion. "Did you see how fast he was moving? How did he do that? He just--yeeted himself away!"

Time's still gaping. "That's not--possible. It's not, right? The world just doesn't work like that."

The bokoblin, for its part, still has an expression of surprise on its face when Warriors takes it down.

Wild doesn't return and the Chain finish the battle on their own.

"Well, time for us to go catch up, I guess."

The sailor is practically skipping. "Think Wild will teach me how to do that?"

"I thought you didn't like being around him."

"For that?" he snorts. "Anything is worth it. Think of the chaos I could cause!"

Well, now Time's got two things to worry about.

Time smells like black coffee and the woods (and trama-)

Twilight smells like mud, pumpkins, and the rain (and wet dog-)

Wind smells like the sea and soup :)

Wild totaly smells like the earth, sweat, and malice......and fish-

Four would smell like fire and new book smell (idk why the books but shhhh)

Hyrule would smell like sugar water and baked bread more specifically like cake :D

Legend would smell like rust.....ok im joking. It's more like the ocean, the woods, and dryed rock at the same time

Sky would smell like mist, wet birds, and vanilla

And wars? Ladys perfume, lavander, and coconut oil (for his hair-)

Hi @maesonc-artistic-adventures! Your artwork is so beautifully textured and adorable and has inspired me to continue creating for this fandom. I admire you a lot, so I wrote this short piece for you as part of the Fan Joy July challenge based on your artwork. I hope that’s okay!

“It’s definitely north,” said Wind. Warriors loomed over his shoulder and he snatched the map out of sight, scowling. Rain was drumming against the shield Warriors held over their heads, pt-pt-pt-pt-pt off the grooved metal and all around them in thick droplets. Not that it was doing them much good. A stiff breeze was flinging the water under their makeshift shelter and into their faces. The back of Wind’s tunic was all damp. “Hey! Pirate eyes only.” “What, you’re worried I’m going to see the X where you buried all your treasure?” Warriors laughed. “You didn’t even make this map. And anyway, you’re holding it upside down.” “No, I’m not.” “Yes, you are.” Warriors tugged it out of the kid’s hands and rotated it, then handed it back. Wind’s eyes went round. He squinted through the rain. “Oh,” he said. The shield thrummed. Pt-pt-pt-pt-pt. Warriors laughed at him. Wind elbowed him in the ribs as hard as he could manage.  “Well, how was I supposed to know that?” he demanded. “In my era we draw our compasses in this corner, not that one.” He shoved the map under the captain’s nose, pointing. Warriors shook his head.  “It’s labelled?”  “Well, I don’t read this hylian, do I?” Wind said incredulously. “I can’t deal with you imbeciles.” “Ah, come on now,” Warriors said. “Don’t start quoting the old man at me, that’s not fair.” He blinked rain out of his eyelashes, blond hair soaked flat against his forehead, and grinned winningly until Wind elbowed him again. “We need to go east,” the kid decided, holding the map out. An icy wave of rain came upon them from behind. A furious shiver wracked him. “Nah,” Warriors admitted. “It’s north. You were holding it the right way before.” Wind whipped his head around and glared. “You rat bastard.” Warriors grinned. “Just a bit of fun. C’mon, squirt. Lead the way.” “See if I ever let you give me map advice ever again,” Wind said with his nose in the air. He gestured in the right direction. Warriors set off, brisk pace slightly more sluggish than usual, matching Wind’s walking speed. If the sailor had asked, he would’ve cited the weather—but he kept his shield level above Wind’s head the entire journey, as they both stumbled on down the road to Kakariko through the cold grey rain.
