(Modern au) How did Sun react when she found out about Sky's epilepsy? Are they childhood friends like in canon sksw, or did they meet slightly later? Also, is he more willing to accept softer, more gentle care from her after seizures? (Sorry for all the questions and if you've answered any of these before)

no need to apologize!! i love talking about this au, you can ask as many questions as you’d like :)

They aren’t quite childhood friends, they knew each other a little bit when they were younger through a summer camp thing, but Sun didn’t know him well enough and wasn’t around him enough to know about his epilepsy until they met again in college and became friends/started dating (they barely remember each other from the summer camp). Sky doesn’t particularly LIKE having to tell people, but if he’s going to be spending enough time with them and thinks he’d be around them enough that he might have a seizure around them then he WILL say something, both so they don’t panic and also so they know what to do so he can be as safe as possible. Sun reacted pretty well, she was one of the only people who didn’t immediately respond with “I’m so sorry” and Sky REALLY appreciated that, and she asked what to do if he had a seizure if he was with her and he told her. She listened and asked reasonable questions and it made him feel a lot better because he’s always pretty uncomfortable having to explain to people because he’s expecting bad reactions and stupid/insensitive questions

he DOES accept softer, more gentle care from her, but it took him a bit to accept that. Being friends with Twi and War got him a little used to being taken care of out of genuine love. he got used to them doing things for him he could EASILY do himself because they care about his comfort and don’t want him to have to move if he doesn’t want to when he doesn’t feel the best, and NOT because they think he can’t do things on his own and are trying to baby him, but Sky is prone to lashing out when he feels like he’s being treated like he’s useless or can’t do anything (which is a reaction caused by years of bad experience). Sun did have to experiment a bit to discover the fine line between being gentle with him and making him feel loved and being gentle with him and making him feel useless, but she figured it out pretty quickly and Sky really trusts her when she takes care of him. He loves her a lot and is definitely more willing to accept the gentleness from her

War and Twi are also able to be more gentle with him than most, but this is because Sky’s seen that that’s not special treatment coming from them. They act the same way with him post seizure as they do with each other when War has a migraine or Twi isn’t feeling good, they’re just sweet people who like taking care of their friends and Sky knows they’re like this because they know HE takes care of THEM with the same amount of gentleness because he loves them. He sometimes can get snappy still, but he’s much less likely to snap at them and Sun

Okay! So I have thoughts!!!!

First off, does anyone remember when JoJo shared those first snippets? How there was a fun little detail that suddenly disappeared when the comic actually became more than doodles?

Yeah, I'm talking about this guy

I know there's a chance I'm wrong, a big one at that, but I think it would be really cool if, if only for a short while, JoJo brought him back, even if it's just for this era of Hyrule. Let Time have his owl buddy!

Anyways, to the actual comic!

I noticed that the boys are all still together, so I'm guessing they're waiting until they come to a cross-roads to actually split up like Four advised last time. So we have that to look forwards to in the coming updates!

I love that she's really highlighting the similarities and differences in this arc, showing us who knows what and what they've done, but also the little things; both with owls and the antifairy!

I adore the Owlan reference/appearance!

And Time immediately agreeing about the "long, drawn out lectures part" made me laugh. (His expression, my Hylia!!!)

That is the face of a man who kept accidentally asking to "hear it again" and regrets it with every bone of his being LOL

It's good to see more call backs to the last comics too! Having Hyrule be wary of the statue because he remembers seeing it before, and Warriors agreeing, but also reminding that it didn't cause harm. The fact that Hyrule keeps his sword pointed at it though, wary, does say a lot about how cautious he's being all the same (Wild ought to take notes)

And of course this whole panel

Twilight's awkwardly trying to assure the rest without spilling the secret, Sky laughing and turning to look at Legend, and the fact that the vet is just so entirely done with even just the thought of being a rabbit. (I love his face, omgosh).

Te way I screamed "anti-fairy!" when I saw this, and then was so, so delighted that Legend and I had the same thought (I am unwell about this man).

I'm equally unwell about the fact that Legend just has to say "ouch" (which you only say at inconveniences and not real, actual hurts) and immediately everyone's turning, weapons out and ready to help him face...whatever. Like, he's fine, guys, but it's sweet you care (now Legend, please take note and realize you belong, you idiot)

Love that Time hears "fairy" and immediately is all ears. All the more so at the "anti" part. Man was raised by fairies and he absolutely doesn't like the idea of something that would hurt them.

Meanwhile Legend is just being freaking Haku (Spirited Away) over here!

Also, his casual use of magic to purify something, to just make it no longer a threat, rather than hurting it. That need to save EVERYONE is really showing through here, huh?

And immediately, everyone is shocked that he did that, but also what it means about fairies. About dark magic. But Time and Wars especially!

Gosh, just Legend's little worried face and Time's offense at the idea of fairies being corrupted and harmed. Shows a bit about them here too I think. Time is maybe slightly obsessed with fairies (reasonably so) and hates them being harmed, but he shows his worry on the matter in anger. legend, meanwhile, becomes more sombre, quieter: it bothers him too (maybe reminds him of a certain predecessor?)

Get this man a tiara, he's a freaking Disney Princess over here, good grief!!!! He's carrying fairy food on what? The slim chance he has time to stop and feed them? Honestly, i know he's probably as attached to fairies as Time (although with a healthier relationship with them), but this is just too cute. this man is going to be the death of me!!!

Anyways, here's the bonuses!!!!

SUN APPEARANCE!!!!!!!! We have a canon Sun appearance!!!!! Like, sure, sleepy student Sky, but it's SUN!!!!

A little comic I made if the Zelda from echoes of wisdom turns out to be a completely new Zelda. I know there is a high possibility that she would just be Fable but, can you imagine if she's a whole new Zelda? We're getting a new pair joining LU the party ya'll!

Also Since EoW!Zelda is new, she doesn't know that they all have nicknames for each other yet so, Tetra tries to mess with a little bit, Dot is in on the action while the rest just watches lol, but eventually, EoW!Zelda will be told about the nicknames and gets her own as well (idk what she's going to be called, i'll just roll with what ya'll decide).

I've been binge reading the LU comics lately and i'm OBSSESSED and as well the Wisdomverse comics by @linderosse I love the idea of all the different versions of Links and Zelda in a huge crossover AU 💖 and I can't wait for echoes of wisdom to be release!

Context:

"Look!"

The last portal brought them in the middle of an unknown forest. They have been exploring for a few days, without seeing traces of civilization, until now.

Hyrule has spotted a stone archway, almost entirely covered by the vegetation:" Maybe it's the entrance to a dungeon."

Without losing time Legend and Wind start to cut through the plants that cover the entrance, getting inside first.

"Uff..." The veteran puts away his sword, disappointment on his face:" It's only one room..."

Time observes the room quickly:" Check for secret passages. If it's just a room, we can at least rest here for the night."

"I think this place is a tomb." Wars adds, noticing the small altar at the other end of the room:" Probably of a sage..." He adds:" That is Hylia's crest. It would make sense."

Four studies the inscription under the crest:" I think that this is Sky's Hylian!"

"We must be in your Hyrule then, or at least close to your time." Wild shrugs:" Or we are in a random time and this place is just well preserved."

They start to theories in which Era they might be, but Sky isn't listening.

He got closer to the tomb, to read the inscription. Since they entered this place, he had a feeling.

Not a bad feeling. When he entered he felt warmth fill his heart, love and adoration. Familiar feelings, that always make Zelda come to mind.

Now he understands why.

Sky is frozen in place, holding his breath in shock, tears burning his eyes.

Twilight soon notices that something is wrong:" Sky?" He calls, without receiving an answer:" Link? Is everything alright?"

The others take notice of the situation, turning in silence to their brother.

Sky gasps, a sob comes out of his throat:" T-this is-" he raises a trembling hand, to touch those words. To feel them. To make sure they are real.

Here lies Zelda the First.

Hylia reincarnated.

Beloved wife, mother, daughter and ruler.

"I-It's-" he can finish the phrase because, as soon as his hand touches the cold stone, a bright warm light explodes in the room. Blinding him.

"Hello, sleepy head."

Sky hears her voice. The one he dreams of every night, as his heart cries alone.

He opens his eyes in shock:" Zelda?!"

Her face right in front of his, a bright smile as she literally is bright as the Sun.

"I was wondering if you would find this place during this journey." Her hand caresses his check, it isn't physical but Sky can feel its warmth.

Tears began to fall like waterfalls:" Don't cry my beloved." Sky takes her and in his, it's just energy but he holds it tightly.

"Zelda-" Sky can only utter out.

He misses her so much. They still haven't been to his Era, he hasn't seen her in months.

Seeing her face now is bringing so much joy in him, but finding her tomb instead of her at home is quite upsetting.

Sky is so overwhelmed, he doesn't know what to say.

"Link, my dear. Don't worry, I am still back home waiting for you and taking care of our loftwings."

Sky chokes one sob out:" You will come back to me soon. We will have our whole life and eternity ahead of us." Sky nods, in his head promising to make Zelda's words true.

"I love you, my sleepyhead."

"I-I love you too, my Sun."

Zelda places her lips on his in a light kiss, before dissolving.

Her warm presence is still in the room, enveloping the heroes with her divine protection.

Wars is beauty youtuber/tea channel without that much tea lmao

Wild and Hyrule are ghost hunters (Wild on his channel does cooking an other fun things, Hyrule does extreme sports like mountain biking and exploring)

Four is a blacksmithing youtuber

Wind is a funny tik toker

Twilight rescues and cares for animals, also just makes fun animal videos.

Sky vlogs with his bird and girlfriend and does woodcarving

And Time was known for a funny meme (See in background of Wars) made in his childhood so much so he started uploading to youtube about funny videos of his animals and vlogging family stuff like once in a blue moon. Most of the time he just uploads silly videos of his animals.

Which one is your fav? I worked so hard on this all month last month! I died.

My favourite hc about prophetic dreams in the royale bloodline is that they came from Sky

Lullaby: I'm genuinely so glad that Time also gets them, I know I'm not insane!

Flora: I only recently started getting them and I can confirm that they're *TERRIFYING* do you know how many times I've seen scenes of L-Wild being put into danger and having to deal with the fact that I can't even intervene!?

Tetra: I HATE when that happens! It happend so many times while me and Sunshine were seperated during the War of Ages!

Fable: Sunshine.. your denial of your feelings is a river in the desert..

Artemis: Goddesses.. I still remember how you would barely sleep until you two were reunited

Sun: wait wait.. They're really that bad? I guess I can manifest a quick vision of my Link but they aren't as terrifying as how you're describing it!

This comic is based on @linderosse 's Weilders of Wisdom comic where EoW and AoL Zelda are the same person. I am obssessed with that concept and the angst potential it has.

I decide to put my own personal twist on it, where Silent's (EoW Link) ghost lingers in the chamber where Aurora/Echo slept, unable to move on to the after life. Phantom (ST Zelda) is able to see spirits and ghosts after the events of her game and reasures Silent that what happend centuries ago was not his fault. Poor boy feels like he failed to protect his princess 😢

Sky's Zelda, Sun, was also training to be a knight. She wasn't just living there because her dad runs the academy.

So the Chain eventually hears of this and assumes that Sun would fight with a more light weapon such as a raiper. Something that fits the royals style of combat in nearly all of their eras.

Except that's not the case.

Sun shows up in a kit akin to the Old Man himself. Full plate with a zweihander, the blade being larger than herself.

To Sun, wisdom tells her that if you hit the monster hard enough, it won't get back up.

No wonder Sky is head over heels for her.

She's a Strength build, and "a crown is warranted with strength" - Godfrey, First Elden Lord.

(Technically, she'd be a Strength/Int/Faith build to maintain the whole wisdom thing and worship of the Goddess, but that's beside the point.)
