Kalanchoe: Is your character well-liked by their friends? & Geranium: What’s one mistake your character remembers making? I love this prompt thingy so I'm sending you more, m'dear! :) You always write such well thought out responses!

Kalanchoe:

Surprisingly, Richard is extremely well-liked by the select few he truthfully calls “friends”. This elite group is made up of Catesby, Ratcliffe, Lovell and Buckingham. Richard personally believes himself to be despised by everyone, and cannot possibly believe that anyone could ever truly like him. The difference between the four and the rest of the peerage is that Richard genuinely likes them in return, and therefore strives to keep them entertained. Usually, it works, though Ratcliffe and Buckingham occasionally like to tease Richard by pretending they don’t find him amusing. The most adoring of the bunch is Catesby, because he is considerably younger than the rest, and idolizes Richard for how confident he is. Richard is equally fond of Catesby, although at times is a little put off by his eagerness.

Geranium:

One mistake that Richard remembers making is insulting his father to his face. It was around Christmas time in his youth, and his parents had given more gifts to his brothers than him. Of course, Richard was highly upset, and refused to talk to anyone. When his father proposed that he would buy him a gift, Richard replied, “I wish my father was a Lancaster.” Though his father laughed it off, his mother was incredibly outraged, and locked him in his room for three hours. He has never quite forgiven his mother for the event, ever since which he has a tendency to check locks. However, due to this, and a few presents from his father, Richard never insulted his father again.
