Can't believe I got into this show so late, but it has my whole heart. Thank you for creating this page! Any other suggestions of kicks Nordic shows with English subs?

If you liked the clip format, NRK did a couple of other shows like it.

In Blank, the characters are a little bit older, and are struggling with what to do now that high school is over and they have to take charge of their own lives. You can watch it over at @nooraiskind.

They also made Lovleg, which takes place at a rural school in Western Norway, where all the kids are living on their own. You can watch that over at @lovlegskada.

On the Swedish side there's Eagles, a teen drama about high school kids and their families around the local junior hockey team in Oskarshamn. I think you can still find all the episodes over at @eagles-translated.

Staying with the hockey theme, but much more depressing, there's Beartown. I think it's available on Amazon Prime Video.

I assume you've watched Young Royals, but on the off chance you haven't, that's worth a watch as well. It's on Netflix, and final season premieres on Monday. MONDAY!!! AAAAHHH!!! I'M SO EXCITED!

Usually when a beloved social medium starts looking like it's going to belly flop badly, I back up some of my shit and move (crankily) on. Now I'm staring at @lovlegskada and wondering what the hell to do if Tumblr fucks that much up now.

I've started an export, at least. I hope that turns out somewhat usable, but thinking about moving the whole thing and then fixing links in an episode post like this makes me want to scream.

Really really hoping Matt doesn't fuck up so badly that I need to move house.

Skam: got me into fandom originally, made me learn some norwegian, it was literally the best thing in my life at that point

Dark: had its flaws and most characters were just unlikeable to me but what an excellent story, truly iconic

Better Call Saul: i just recently finished it, i tend to watch 1-2 eps a day so it had been a part of my life for quite a bit. i loved the characters (my brother made me watch Breaking Bad first but i honestly prefer this one)

Lockwood and Co: i used to read the books with my friends at school and the adaptation is super close to the story. i kept thinking oh yeah that's how i had imagined it which never happens

Derry Girls: so fun. rewatched it with my mom and she loved it

Pettersson und Findus: my childhood basically. my favourite episode was the one with the rocket ship it's the reason i wanted to become an astronaut when i was younger

Lars der Eisbär: same thing really. i used to get into fights with my siblings bc they kept rewatching the same episode every time and i just wanted to watch a new one

not really a show but sometimes i just have to rewatch some sketches by Loriot they are just so iconic

Lovleg: got me through my first semester at uni, the characters were way too relatable and the format was just perfect

Blank started back almost a week ago and I have to say that I’m quite impressed by the content that we got so far. Unlike the first season, the clips feel less “blank”, Zehra’s story is already a lot more dynamic than Ella’s. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed Ella and Simen’s story. However, I do find it interesting (and refreshing) that NRK tried something quite different with this new season: Zehra’s character isn’t linked to any of the characters we encountered throughout the first season, and neither are the other characters introduced so far, hence a whole new environment, Zehra’s, for us to discover.

The clips released this week were pretty nice. One thing I particularly enjoy is how different the colours are compared to the previous season, they’re a lot warmer.

I guess it’s no surprise if I say that I fell in love with both Nadiya and Amina. This little trio is gold and the way it was introduced in the very first clip will forever remain iconic. I’m really excited to see how Zehra’s story will unfold. (and also, how will it link with Ella’s?)

There is probably a lot more to say but that’s all I can think of right now.
