book 4 in a YA supernatural mystery series set in a magical semi-apocalyptic scotland

follows a girl who can speak to the dead and wants to be a magician, but has decided learning magic through the society isn’t the path for her and is working as an intern for the English Sorcerer Royal instead

she finds out some family secrets that make her question what she knows about her gran, and when tragedy strikes and she’s blamed, she has to go on the run and try and figure out the true culprit, as a dangerous cult is on the rise, trying to awaken an ancient power

#The Legacy of Arniston House #Edinburgh Nights #aroaessidhe 2024 reads #another good addition to this series!#I found the pacing a little weird at times but the stakes are definitely getting way higher #and there’s some more revelations about the worldbuilding that were interesting #loving all the characters; and ropa’s personal journey. but also; oh god; many things going bad; and also cliffhanger :(#the description spoils the book?? that doesnt even happen til 30% through #I’m still like. are there hints at a ropa/priya sapphic situation or am i reading into things….#but also as of yet still no romance in the series #fantastic narration as always!!
