The invisible pile of trash

Who would notice a piece of smoked out cigarette on the pavement? Nobody would really care. It’s just trash. Useless stuff nobody needs anymore. And same goes for the lonely homeless people, wandering around the city, looking in trashes for any food leftovers or anything they could use to survive and make it through the night. 

The days and nights were getting colder as the winter was closing by and many homeless would freeze to death on the streets, as they weren’t able to find a shelter to hide in. Some already got blankets, hats, gloves, even nice winder shoes. Some though were struggling really bad due to their lack of self-confidence and real big fear of everyone.

There was this man specifically, dirty, stinky, yet looking young. Which is why nobody trusted the fact he had no home. Nobody thought he was really homeless. That he was just faking it to get some lunch money. He didn’t see food for days, didn’t feel warm. All he had was a torn up jacket and pants, quite badly damaged shoes and that was it. His body was skinny, almost reminding a skeleton, but it wasn’t as visible underneath the clothes.

Many would mistake him for a Halloween cosplayer or something as well, even though it was Christmas coming up. Now the man mentioned above was on the floor next to a container filled with trash. It didn’t smell good either, but he was used to it by now. It was his only source of comfort. When the night was too bad, he would just climb in and hide, making sure not to fall asleep just in case. 

It was around afternoon time when kids would end at school and go home. Usually, nobody even looked into the small street where the trashcans and containers were, Only if they needed to throw something out real bad, but they knew that it was too stinky in there to even bother with that. Which is why Houji was there because he felt somewhat safe. Until now... he was just somewhat dozing off due to exhaustion, as he heard somebody walk by, stopping for a moment and then approaching one of the containers. He didn’t mind them, just kept looking into one spot with his exhausted chocolate eyes, hoping they wouldn’t yell at him for being in their way, as they usually did.

"Nii-san!" Mimi's on him in an instant arms wrapped around his neck, rubbing her cheek against his own like an overly affectionate cat. "Did you miss me?"

I bought the game with the boy in it during the steam sale and IM SO EXCITED TO SEE GREN (I havent had free time to play it tho yet rip)

BRO  …  i hope !!  that you think highly of and appreciate the boy !!  he’s a little abrasive at first but my best advice is to just  …  listen to him  …  because his attitude makes a whole hell of a lot of sense if you bother understanding why he acts that way

&&  beyond that,  i hope you enjoy the rest of the game !!  it’s got a really beautiful art style and a captivating narrative and it’s !!  a whole lotta fun

Genji shrugged at her comment, eyes closed as he sprawled on the couch. His phantom pain was acting up on top of a two-hour mission debriefing and a half-assed training session.

He didn’t mean to upset her by doing this, he just wasn’t in the mood for much of anything. Except for maybe a hot bath and sleep, but he barely felt like speaking up to express that.

Once his mother died his father did everything he could to keep his son happy and not focusing on the loss.
