One of my beautiful friends, Londyn De Richelieu  just got married. She is one of the kindest, most helpful people I’ve met and that’s why this is so heart-warming for me. This is great to see for many reasons but most importantly because I was reading the comments on this video and most of the trans women in the comments were saying how men and other people in their lives have repeatedly told them that men don’t marry trans women and trans women aren’t wifeable. It’s good for them to see a successful, articulate, beautiful, Pro-Black woman of trans experience accomplishing many things that society says is impossible. She’s defied so many odds against her. I’m proud.

Re: Calpernia and Andrea: Just for the record...

I do not agree with much of anything Calpernia Addams or Andrea James said since DBC came out, and absolutely nothing they've said in the last few weeks. It's sad to see your contemporaries in the movement throw other trans women under the bus and stoop so low in their ad hominem attacks against Parker Marie Malloy and other trans people as referring to them in the most vile, trans-misogynistic names and terms.  I can only suppose they do so out of fear of becoming irrelevant. The kids are alright, and the new ideas and discourse we're having about the monumental and intricate manifestations of that which oppresses us particularly as trans women is very illuminating and exciting (and heavy all at the same time).
