Rhino Fact: 8/19/2017 The outlook for wild rhinos today is very bleak. As long as rhino horn is in demand for medicines and other uses, the animals are in danger. People are trying to help rhinos in many ways. These include captive breeding; protecting them better from poachers; preserving their natural habitat; and in some cases, moving them to new, safer locations. In Africa, wildlife managers are also trying another idea, to make these animals less attractive to poachers, they are catching Rhinos and removing their horns. Then they let the animals go again.
