Now onto the brainrot I have of him, since he's one of the adepti it's hard for him to make time for you. His duties in Liyue always seem to make him leave your bed in the morning too early and at night even when you try to stay awake, it always ends up with you falling asleep before he could come back home. The guilt especially kills him inside when he sees you fallen asleep on the dinner table, a whole meal set up for both you and him wanting to eat together. He was tempted to ask to break it off since being the softie that he is cannot take the idea of someone like you staying up for someone like him. Of course he could never speak it since losing you would be far more painful than his karmic debt. As a result he talked to Zhongli about this and came up with a certain plan. The next day was all about you, his lover. Every adepti helped in making the day perfect for the two of you, cloud retainer made a mechanism so that you two could watch the sunset in the mountains. Shenhe and Ganyu helped with the food (under cloud retainers guidance ofc). Zhongli taught Xiao every trick in the book, compliments that he almost overheated by saying to you. His flustered face making you smile, but most of all, his heart couldn't stop pounding inside of his chest when you told him he didn't need to do all of this. Instead, him being along side you was enough.

❤ The first week of November, he makes a late 9pm reservation at a restaurant to celebrate bunka no hi. This is what he claims - but he finds another reason to take you out every night anyway. He's not in the house as you dress up. When he described the restaurant to you, and the holiday, you pretended to understand the words he was saying. But still, the black tiles and the chandeliers kept you intrigued. On the menu, nothing has a price, and perhaps that's a good thing.

❤ "I'm a bit tired," you'll say at the end of every date. You both will stay up to past 23:00 to do whatever he decides of you that day.

❤ "Do you wish to go back?" He asks.

❤ "Maybe."

❤ "Maybe?"

❤ He'll look at you with his beautiful yellow eyes, and you have all the time in the world to admire them. From when you first wake up, wondering why the sun is in your eyes - realizing it is only him and his often perverted stare.

❤ His eyes are the sun, unknowing darkness, as they are also the moon, full in a clear night sky. Does that make you his star?

❤ He asks you about your future almost every night. It's because he knows - he has his goals set and he had everything fall almost perfectly into place. Therefore, the question is quite annoying.

❤ When he wakes up next to you, impatience lurks in his mind. He imagined the two of you waking up together, eating breakfast and getting ready. But he wakes up far more earlier than you do. It's something natural to him, he loves feeling productive.

❤ And he checks the clock often, way more often than when he was living alone.

❤ After waking up, he goes into the bathroom, taking his time just to see if you will end up waking up before he gets out. The bathroom has a small plastic unit with shelves to hold his makeup. He always makes a show of brushing his hair, picking up loose strands to not make the counter messy.

❤ When the two of you eat breakfast, you sit so close that your knees touch. He makes the food. He's always been the caring type - and he likes watching you eat it.

❤ In his study, late a night, you often hang inside when he's doing work. You inspect the books as if they've ever changed. When you're sleepy enough, you lean against his legs, feeling his hand sink down onto your head before he strokes you.

❤ You wake up every morning with him against your side - else you're against him. You can almost never escape his beautiful hair and his lanky arms.

❤ Going to sleep next to him is easy. He'll read, sing, do anything to help you if you're having a hard time.

❤ Just, once he's asleep, he'll be grumpy if you wake him up with your shuffling around.

I like how mentioning the dreams thing is showing that theres still the usual him in there somewhere and thats probably what him eating us again at the end would be like! he’s upset and mad right now and it’s a little scary but he’s still there and were still his and ar.ceus can’t take us from him when were in his belly if he does lose that fight!! And I think he might cuz even if he was to win that was only just a piece of ar.ceus so then he still doesn’t get what he wants but feeling us in there would still make him feel better! even just a littl bit cuz I think he’s a little possessive x3

Oh yeah the dream part really brings the usual V.olo back for a moment (and it culminates right after when he hands over his G.host plate to your character).

This makes you feel for him tbh, since he's just been let down by A.rceus and now he wants to know if we dream as well, just like he does ;-; ;-; but no matter what we say, his response is always so heart-wrenching 😭:

I do!: "So you do... Doubtless that dream of yours would never leave room for the dreams of one like me..."

I don't know.: "You don't even know... Then perhaps the day will come when you will suffer and agonize as I do now..."

When we receive the plate from him, he looks soo defeated but he gives it up uncomplainingly and admits he lost to us ;-; which is commendable, and it shows he actually respects us. He's a reasonable guy despite everything! ❤️

I agree you on that btw, if he managed to both beat us in battle and eat us he'd be less mad for not succeeding in taking down the real A.rceus, cause at least we were there with(in) him and he wasn't all that alone in the final step of his quest (I think G.iratina would be there as well tbh, but that's beside the point xD).

I like to think he could still triumph over the Alpha P.okemon somehow, and the aftermath would be sooo interesting to witness, with its consequences x3 defeating a piece of it does feel like you've just won the consolation prize at the lottery 🥺

We can have him be a little possessive over us, as a treat x3 I love it a lot, ngl 💕❤️ though I think it'd just be funny if, as soon as he realizes that despite not being able to achieve his dream he still has us in his belly, A.rceus just teleported us out of it and away from him xDD like, our poor man can't even be happy for a second! 😭

Actually, I really wouldn't mind a long stay in his tum either! x3 especially if he finds it calming himself! And if someone's looking for us I can see him say that we're busy working on the p.okedex or something xD He could even smuggle us out of the H.isui region when he's leaving for who-knows-where xD I imagine we'd be supposed to come back tho if the p.okedex still needs filling out!

Mmmmm, this is also giving me ideas for Naga!V.olo stuff honestly!! Imagine being all coddled up inside his stomach while he's wrapped up in his coils! I think he'd be very happy then x3 ❤️
