LOL, I love that Buck is a little insane, it makes him oh so relatable to me. 😂

I don't know if escalation is really the right word because hurting other people has been a risk for Buck this entire time. But I think the reason we haven't seen that happen until now is because of the escalating nature of emotional issues - first you hurt yourself with them and, as they grow, you start to hurt and push away others. Also, Buck's relationships are playing a more prominent role this season than they've played in other seasons, so it makes sense that we're getting more into the effects his actions have on other people for that reason.

But yeah, I think it's a big old metaphor for abandonment issues. Buck is afraid to face what he feels for Eddie head on because he's afraid of being left, so his coping mechanisms come out and Eddie gets hurt because of them. Tommy should have been a bit more critical of Buck there (though I obviously understand why he wasn't - he was crushing on him and also injuries in sports, especially men's sports, are fairly common). I think the reason we never saw the apology is because Buck's apology, in a narrative sense, is going to occur when he finally confronts and admits how he feels about Eddie to Eddie, rather than trying to hurt himself for attention. So, the "apology" technically hasn't happened yet, that conflict is still ongoing. I also think that, because Tommy and Eddie are parallel characters, much like Eddie got hurt physically because of Buck's inability to admit to what he's feeling, Tommy is likely going to get hurt emotionally for the same reason, once he realizes that Buck is dating him because he's afraid to go after Eddie.

Anyway, I love mess and I love that Buck is kind of a messy person in general. And I hope that even if he doesn't handle things perfectly, people are still willing to stick with the story. I think it's much more interesting this way.

To answer your question: No, I don't have a posting schedule for this story. It's also actually the first story I have prewritten any chapters. That’s normally not the way I write my stories. 🙈 And I would've never thought, that the responses for it would be so amazing and that people would actually like/love to read this. 🥰

Originally I had only 5 chapters planned. But I realized that that would not be enough. So we'll have 8 in total. And I try to post the chapters on friday or saturday of every week. That's not always working out, but I give it my best!

ok, i got this ask ten days ago, and I've been thinking about it ever since. Because I got two other asks asking for fiddauthor, and I dON'T KNOW HOW TO LET THEM DOWN LIGHTLY BECAUSE I'M A FIDDLESTAN BITCH THROUGH AND THROUGH 😭😭😭😭 I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, fiddauthor is great and makes sense and everything. But listen. Billford and fiddauthor are multidimensional ships, they are good! But FIDDLESTAN!?!? that shit is the WHAT-THE-HECK-A-HEDRON!!!!!!! Even though it's literally 100% speculation, the implications are FUCKING CRAZY!!!!!!!!! I jumped between three ships so far during this gravity falls thing, each time thinking one is better than the other. I've decided that FIDDLESTAN IS KING!!!!!! I'm sorry. I could rant about them forever. I've been listening to nothing but extended versions of disco music for the past week. (YES THEY HAD A CRAZY ROMANTIC FLING IN VEGAS NO I WILL NOT ELABORATE!!!! The baby bee hybrids all have a soft spot for anything sweet! Of course they’re bees and like honey, but any with sugar makes them go crazy.

So when you’re baking something in kitchen for yourself as the royal chefs skitter about anxiously to make sure you don’t hurt yourself, the little ones come toddling in.

You’re making chocolate chip cookies, and they smell so good!

“Mama, whatcha making?”

One of the older boys holds onto your apron, pointing a chubby little finger at the oven. “Oh, these are cookies. Would you boys like some?”

Your single batch of cookies turns into nearly seven, but you don’t mind when you get to see their happy faces.

They also enjoy spending lots of time with their mama, often throwing tantrums when you’re too busy.

“Mama! Mama! I want mama!”

Some of your royal attendants struggles entertain your babies as you’re away on a diplomatic meeting. They’ve stormed your room, their little wings flapping as they search high and low for you.

Tears form in their eyes, their wails and sobs upsetting the entire hive.

You get home late. You’re exhausted and ready to sleep, but your babies all run to greet you, crying into your skirt and babbling about how much they missed their mama.

So you go to sleep with your bed full of little ones and can’t even move because they’re stuck to you like koalas.
