The Board of Student Activities conducted a Solo Singing Competition on 31st of March 2021. The event was judged by an exceptional panel of judges Mr. Shashank Kamble (Assistant Professor - School of Basic and Allied Sciences), Mrs. Raveena Negi (Assistant Professor - School of Agricultural Sciences) and Mr. Rishab Pokhriyal (Alumni and Former President of the Music Club). The contestants had 3 minutes in total to perform their rehearsed song. The competition had an amazing batch of singers which made the day musical with their melodious voices. The rhythm, sense of scale and the quality of their voices surely upgraded the worth of the day. The first position was bagged by Mr. Rahul (School of Agricultural Sciences) whereas; for the second position there was a tie between Harshita Dalal (School of Engineering) and Nitin (School of Agricultural Sciences). In another edition of the series of International Webinars, we are delighted to announce that the globally renowned academician and expert in the field of Marketing Research, Prof. Dr. Ben Lowe, shall be addressing all our MBA students of School of Management on April 8th . Prof. Dr. Lowe is Professor of Marketing, and also Associate Dean for Global Engagement, at Kent Business School, University of Kent. He was previously Head of the Marketing Group for a number of years and has also taken on other leadership roles within the School including Interim Director of Education and Programme Director for the MSc in Marketing and the MSc in Management. Currently, he is on the editorial board of several journals and is an Associate Editor at the European Journal of Marketing. He has published widely in the area of consumer behaviour and co-authors an international book on Marketing Research, which is in its 5th Edition with colleagues from Australia and the US. Professor Lowe earned his PhD from Griffith University, Australia and his B.Com Degree from University of Sydney, Australia. The Board of Student Activities (BSA) Dance Club organized a Solo Dance Competition on 10th March 2020. The event was bedazzled by the performances of the students and was judged by renowned choreographer Mr. Parvesh Beniwal, Dr. Sarina Asif, The Office of Dean Student Welfare and Mr. Rahul Yadav an alumni and former president of the dance club. The competition had two rounds. In the first one, the participants were given two minutes to present a rehearsed performance on a song of their choice. The second round was the battle ground where the participants projected their dancing skills on unrehearsed songs one after another. Based on the choreography, expressions, energy and audience responses, the first position was bagged by Ms. Shruti Chauhan from School of Agricultural Sciences, the second position by Mr. Harsh Thakur from School of Fashion & Design and the third position by Ms. Kiran Gogia from School of Fashion & Design.
