Along with ice cream, Postum, blazing hot chilly, spaghetti, and cheese, Lovecraft loved coffee. He dumped spoonful after spoonful of sugar in each cup. HPL's poor diet has been blamed by some for his stomach cancer and untimely death at 46. Though Lovecraft kept a slim frame for most of his adult life, at 5'11" and 145 lbs he may have taken the aesthetic-look a little too far? Shown below is a cup displaying the Starbucks logo. This logo represents a stylized mermaid sporting 2 tails and a crown. Could we joke that she is perhaps a member of the 'Deep Ones', maybe even, 'Mother Hydra', spouse of Dagon? Mother Hydra is only mentioned very briefly in Lovecraft's tales - in fact only once that I have ever seen. Starbuck is also the name of a character from the famed novel, MOBY DICK. Well, even considering in inflation we can hardly imagine that Lovecraft - who was dirt poor for most of his adult life - could have afforded to buy coffee at a vender like Starbucks. (Exhibit 503)

🐀 Fyodor tells kids interesting facts about history and different cultures. He wants kids to find interest in finding new information about Real World.

🦇 Bram is very judgmental towards books about vampires. He will be fine with encyclopedias and horror stories, but not with romance novels. It mostly came from a few times, when crazy vampire fans broke into the house to find Bram.

Wednesday Addams Headcanons

Her favorite serial killer is Jack the Ripper, whose true identity still remains a mystery.

Studies in the school library, always brings a black throw-blanket and a thermos of black coffee with her.

Like her mother, Wednesday is adept at gardening, and has a talent for cultivating exotic and rare plants that thrive in the shadows.

Enjoys bathing in ice-cold water.

Can’t really swim— she prefers to float face-down like a corpse (she can hold her breath for approximately 5 minutes.)

AU where albatross managed to save Doc but he was severely traumatised driving him to madness which wasn't helped by the fact that Verlaine joined the mafia and was promoted to executive while chuuya forgave him , Doc could never do that and he was in need of a wheelchair leading to chuuya leaving the mafia to care for him because in a moment of clarity doc asked him to leave with him because he couldn't stay in the place who hold so much memory of his late friends.

Chuuya fell that he owed him that , so he left without telling anyone not even dazai or kouyou know about that because he knew that they would try to stop him.

Doc founded an underground clinic in suribashi city , while chuuya own a coffee bar called flags who became a prime source of information dealing but peoples also go here for mercenary mission or others reasons that they don't want the law to know.

As chuuya have the trust of the locals in suribashi city helped by his reputation, he have eyes everywhere not only in suribashi but also in all of Yokohama which led him to meet his second pain in the ass after Dazai Osamu edogawa ranpo.

Who got lost in a mission while chuuya was nearby to meet one of his contact , he gave him food while he was waiting for someone to pick up ranpo who liked it too much for his liking because he couldn't get rid of him afterward.

Which wasn't helped by the fact that Doc took a liking to ranpo's friend yosano, the two of them are a terrifying duo he shudder just thinking about it.

Everytime that the agency need informations on case that they couldn't get with their usual informants they would go here .

Which led to dazai meeting chuuya again which was hard for them both, dazai will take all the mission who take them to flags even fighting with ranpo or yosano for that.

But they're still drama between them especially because Doc still don't like him and resent him for what happened and dazai haven't forgiven the fact that he left the mafia without telling him.

As for the mafia's mori know what he does but choose to leave him alone, the mafia are part of his client when they couldn't get informations from their own network and Elise love his cakes, and chuuya who still have a fondness for her would pack free sweets and others gifts.

But he would still fight Lovecraft because the government promised to erase his and Doc past and present criminal records and turn a blind eyes for any future transgression if he does that and he love this city and want to protect her .

The team up made that dazai spent even more time at flags using others agency members as an excuses which led to events like dazai being awestruck by chuuya singing in his bar.

The agency and doc who had enough of their pinning end up setting them up together, they talk and finally kiss.

Ignoring the suppressed snickers of the few remaining of Ango's 'dear' coworkers at the sight of you in baggy clothes at 2 am, you headed straight down the hall to look your lover in the eye and bring him home to detox from coffee and exhaustion.

However, that's easier said than done. Ango takes one look at you, sighs, and tells you that if you'd like to spend time with him, the couch on the other side of his office is open for you to sleep on.

You are definitely too tall to sprawl out and over that two seater. And besides, that's not what you're here for anyway

"Ango," You plead with him, begging him to take his eyes off his computer.

"Let's go home--"

"Not now," He mumbles, eyes lidded with sleep and head bobbing. "Need a trace on a line and I'm waiting for someone to pick up on the... the.... haah.... What was I talking about?"

"Ango, we're going home."

"No!" He snaps, looking up at you with some renewed passion spewing from the last fumes of energy he's running on.

You sigh and push his wonky-wheeled office chair out of the way.

"Wait.. what are ya doing.... y/n.." The moment his face turns away from the screen, he's already slipping into dreamland.

He isn't even awake long enough in between his forced departure from the desk and the millisecond it takes to swiftly close his tabs and shut down his computer, which stops its incessant groan of data overload the moment you hit the off button on the moniter.

It's quite the same for Ango, who looks blissed out in his chair.

However, you know that if you let him sleep a minute longer you won't be able to wake him up again.

You tap him on the shoulder until he cracks open eyes so bloodshot you're concerned he may need medical treatment, to look at you.

You don't speak, but put one arm under him and hoist his practically limp body out of his office chair. He stumbles a bit, finding purchase against your neck with mumbles and groans.

You drag him out of the office, leaning on your arm, past his jeering coworkers, and past the building doors, which he vaguely gestures back towards when you pass them.

Outside, a light rain sprinkles onto his face. You laugh, knowing he probably hasn't checked the radar to notice the downpour coming in tonight.

You gently put him into the backseat of your car, sprawled across the back row, and throw an old jacket of yours on him. It's a decent drive home, but you'll make it before three am.

He makes incoherent noises the entire time, a few complaints on needing to get more work done and desperate groans about his coworkers. Even in his sleep, Ango is ever-vigilant.

When you get home, you do the same thing, dragging him out of the car and into the contrastingly warm house he bought for the two of you, though these days he rarely graces the home with his presence.

You already have the fireplace crackling, the heat cranked up, and soothing music on. You help him take his shoes and coat off, and dump him right into bed.

Ango moans restlessly. You don't know if he just wants you to let him sleep, or take him back to the office.

Turning off the last lights in the house, you curl up behind him and wrap your arms around him, letting him dive deeper into the blankets and get tangled up in your arms. You move one hand to soothe him, brushing soft, short tufts of his hair out of his face.

"Mm...ahh... y/n..., iloveya...." it's all jumbled, but you know what he said.

"I love you too, my Mango."

He puffs out a small chuckle, hand coming up to squeeze the one repetively brushing hair from his face.

Kissing him on the forehead, you send him off to sleep with gentle touches and the sound of pattering rain.
