The Incomparable Michale K. Williams
Michael K. Williams brought a hard-edge charisma to his portrayal of Omar Little, the sawed-off-shotgun-wielding stickup man on the pioneering HBO series “The Wire.”
He grew up in the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, and in his words, he had never envisioned a life outside the borough. But before he was 30, he parlayed his love for dance into dancing roles with singers George Michael and Madonna, and choreographed and performed in the music video for Crystal Waters’s hit single “100% Pure Love.” He landed his first acting opportunity when he caught the eye of Tupac Shakur.
When Mr. Shakur saw a Polaroid photo of him in a production office, he decided that Mr. Williams was the person to play his character’s brother in the 1996 film “Bullet,” in which Mr. Shakur starred opposite Mickey Rourke.
Williams also played Albert “Chalky” White on the HBO series Boardwalk Empire from 2010 to 2014. He earned five Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his performances in the HBO television biopic Bessie (2015), the Netflix drama series When They See Us (2019), and the HBO series The Night Of (2016) and Lovecraft Country (2020). He had a recurring role in the NBC sitcom Community from 2011 to 2012. He also had supporting roles in a number of films including Gone Baby Gone (2006), The Road (2009), 12 Years a Slave (2013), Inherent Vice (2014), and Motherless Brooklyn (2019).
Michales most personal project came with the series BLACK MARKET with VICE television. Michael K. Williams journeys into the dangerous world of illicit trade.
Michael K. Williams used his celebrity status to promote several causes, most notably criminal justice reform, both in the United States and in the Bahamas. He was the American Civil Liberties Union’s ambassador for ending mass incarceration, appearing in an ad campaign.
His legacy will forever live in the hearts of love ones, friends and fans like CARTER™️ Magazine.
A true loving and amazing human being.

HEADS UP!!!!
Two Misha Green produced jewels, that she was HONESTLY screwed out of a longer run for BOTH...
ARE NOW STREAMING FOR FREE!!! ON TUBITV...at least for Februrary. That's UNDERGROUND, which despite having the highest ratings in the history of the WGN network was cancelled to make way for a Sinclair Media buy-out, in which WGN was to become a 24 hour alt-right news network. There were legality issues and the deal fell through despite that, and few other beloved cult shows already being cancelled.... AND
LOVECRAFT COUNTRY... which despite having a shakey finish, still got 13 Emmy nods (!!) only to be cancelled by the newly Discovery-Time Warner allied HBO.
Both shows did something I think flew over the heads of even black audiences... And that is stretch the typical gaze of blackness, even when that gaze is other black people. She delved into uncomfortable unconfronted spaces in an entertaining way, instead of the typical mopey trod-upon thing that is the most often done thing when dealing with "black history". She made the runaway ex-enslaved, a heroic misfit crime caper group, stealing themselves away. Instead of superficial platitudes, UNDERGROUND showed what it really took to be a white ally in that time and place. Instead of the same ol' wade in the water fare, she scored this with a pulsating modern soundtrack, keeping that gaze and it's continuing affects, modern in the eyes of the viewer, which honestly is brilliantly ahead of it's time. In the case of LOVECRAFT COUNTRY, she dealt with generational traumas and secrets within black families head-on, -in particular queerphobia/self-hatred/abuses without flinching, toxic black masculinity, and colorism w/in a queer interracial context, where the skinny yt girl was masculine coded(!) and the gorgeous fat dark-skinned black woman is coded as femme (which honestly, the queer aspects are what I speculate is why a lot of black viewers didn't get onboard). And yeah, that should have been Micheal K. Williams posthumus Emmy-win, point-blank.
When you think of all the mediocre yt produced shows that got five seasons+.... Yeah, I'll remain mad about it. As I said... she got screwed twice and I'm pissed because I love both shows. That said, at least we got Amirah Vann, who was exclusively a stage actor before her turn on UNDERGROUND as Ernestine aka "'Stine" (another one that should've gotten an Emmy nod) and is now a common face on Primetime TV. Those two shows will stay getting that #ThisIsARec from me, and that goes especially for it being Black History Month. The two best episodes of UNDERGROUND are Cradle and Ache, respectively...And the best episodes of LOVECRAFT COUNTRY are the pilot, the jiggaboo curse ep, Hippolyta's interdimensional ep., and IMO, Ruby's potion Ep. (because that one was so bold). Anyway... plug the titles into the search bar on TubiTV.com to watch for free and legally, likely for a limited time.
#underground#meta#thisisarec#lovecraft country#I will stay mad at black fans playing damn checkers with their support instead of chess#she wasn't perfect so some of yall were harder on her then you were on queer baiting 15 year yt mediocrity that was supernatural#yeah I said it#and you'll be the first talking about why we don't get interesting black shows??#yeah you gotta support it even if it isn't perfect#to gain the room to get to what you specifically want#otherwise??? cut off at the knees before the sprint.

I so badly would like to see the script for interview with the vampire's episode 5... Do you have ang idea if anyone is working on collecting them and/or who I should contact?
If anyone is, they aren't posting about it.
Pilots are easy to find, anything else is hard. For Supernatural we get our scripts from eBay at sometimes outrageous prices (high triple digits) and local (Vancouver area) memorabilia sellers. Others we got PDFs from people who won charity auctions (four digits).
For IWTV, local crew would be New Orleans area sellers who are no longer working for the show...it could be awhile. I haven't heard about any charity auctions of scripts signed by the actors (nothing has crossed my dash or timeline) but that's not even something we go near, we aren't built for that 💸💸💸💸
One very, very long shot would be if IWTV was submitted by AMC to the Emmys for writing because Deadline's It Starts on the Page series has PDFs of For Your Consideration scripts (2021; 2022) and that series has given us scripts from The Boys, Stranger Things, Wandavision, and so many more.
Just to give you a sense of what's out there for other AMC shows (it's not much):
Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul: a Collection on Reddit
Mad Men: Pilot (Writer's First Draft); 7 from Season 1 & 2 from Season 7
The Walking Dead: 3 from season 1
Fear the Walking Dead: Pilot
Halt and Catch Fire: Pilot
Misc: Script Slug has an AMC tag
Resources for finding TV scripts online:
r/screenwriting guide to finding scripts online
Script Hive has a screenplay collection, you need to be a member of their discord to access (this might be where something from IWTV lands, be sure to read all the rules and regs so you don't get booted from the server/do what you need to do to be in "good standing" to be able to peek in on the script collection every month or so)
TV Writing (see also the credits page, most every other site has taken the stuff from here and reuploaded it to their site)
TV Calling: Comedies, Dramas
BBC Writersroom: Script Library
Scribd: mostly trash (badly done transcripts), sometimes treasures like this Yellowjackets 1.04 "Bear Down" script
Films because these two sites are great: Scripts Onscreen will help you find a pdf for free or give you a direct link to Script City (ScriptFly too but they charge way more and are really obvious about just stealing shit from TV Writing to resell, I refuse to buy from them)
Stashes for Other Shows:
Sliders Scripts Collection
SupernaturalWiki Scripts and Casting Sides
This is Who We Are: X-Files Scripts
Misha Green's website: Lovecraft Country
Living Dead Guy Productions (Wonderfalls, Hannibal, Pushing Daisies)
Beauty and the Beast Scripts and Transcription Project
Call Me a Cab: Scarecrow and Mrs. King scripts
#sinceremercy#replying to asks#find the thing#script hunting#amc interview with the vampire#admin: lets-steal-an-archive#dumpster diving on a saturday night#userbrittany#have you come across anything#i'm days behind on my dash tnx frontier

Jonathan Majors Behind The Scenes Facts
Jonathan Majors Behind The Scenes Facts
If you're paying attention to some of the biggest new movies, then chances are you've seen Jonathan Majors.
It's safe to say Jonathan is making a name for himself and becoming one of the most in-demand actors working today. So, to celebrate, here are 21 facts you probably never knew about him:
1. First, Jonathan was born on September 7, 1989 in California and lived on the Vandenberg Air Force Base alongside his brother and sister, until their mother moved them back to her hometown of Dallas, Texas.
2. Jonathan has talked about his childhood and how his mother was "really good at keeping safe," but he still acted out. He was caught shoplifting, got into several fights that resulted in school suspension, and he was thrown out of his house and had to live in his car while working two jobs.
3. Speaking about growing up in a working-class household in an affluent neighborhood, Jonathan said, "I found myself getting into fights, being bullied, and then retaliating." From 14 years old and on, theater was the one constant thing in his life. He said he was motivated by "that emotionality, that impulsivity, that need to connect. I just wanted to be in the world and be a part of it."
4. He attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and then went to Yale School of Drama.
5. His first major acting credit was in the limited series When We Rise (2017), where he played a younger version of Michael K. Williams's character Ken Jones. Jonathan and Michael would later reunite on Lovecraft Country.
6. In fact, Jonathan booked When We Rise while he was still a student. He explained that Yale School of Drama has a policy where you can't leave for acting work, but they made an exception for him.
7. Jonathan received critical acclaim for his work in the 2019 film The Last Black Man in San Francisco. His work as Montgomery Allen in the movie is what made Marvel casting director Sarah Halley Finn realize he'd make a great Kang the Conqueror in the MCU.
8. Jonathan has a 9-year-old daughter. Talking about what lessons he's taught his daughter, Jonathan told Ebony, "We teach worth and value in our household, and self-worth. A big thing is, as she changes her hair up, I'm very clear to tell her I liked it the way it was. I love it now; I loved it then. Another thing we teach is smiling. Your emotions belong to you. No man can make you do anything or feel anything."
9. Jonathan was originally cast in The Trial of the Chicago 7, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. At the time, he was filming Da 5 Bloods, Lovecraft Country, AND The Harder They Fall back-to-back following the release of The Last Black Man in San Francisco.
10. He received his first Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his work as Atticus "Tic" Freeman in Lovecraft Country in 2021. In fact, until Lovecraft Country, Black actors from the same project had never been recognized in all four acting categories.
11. Jonathan said that he saw a lot of himself in Tic from Lovecraft Country, which is what initially drew him to the role. He told Entertainment Weekly, "I experienced hiding away and being by myself in books. I, too, had an estranged father. There are so many elements that . Also, growing up in the South, I'm very familiar with the relations between the African American community and the white community down home in Texas."
12. He joined the MCU as Kang in 2021, a role that will span both the TV shows and movies. He's already appeared in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and he's set to be one of the leads in the upcoming Avengers movies: Avengers: Secret Wars and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
13. He is known around Hollywood for his "immersive approach" to acting, and he describes it as "a blend of different method acting styles." Instead of being "excessive" in his method acting approach, he more so looks at it as doing "whatever it takes."
14. Jonathan trained like a real boxer to prepare for Creed III. Michael B. Jordan told him that he wanted Adonis and Damian to look like two "gladiators in the ring," and that was the inspiration for their training. He trained three times a day to get into boxing shape for the film.
15. Then, his training continued after Creed III for the movie Magazine Dreams, where he plays an aspiring bodybuilder. However, for this role, he spent "about 18 months training and consumed 6,100 calories a day to maintain 202 pounds on his 6-foot frame."
16. Jonathan has spoken about how Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight inspired him. He told Entertainment Weekly, "Okay, first of all, he's gorgeous. He's got that fucking jawline, and he didn't give a fuck. He threw his body around. He was so full. And I went, 'I'm coming for that. I'm inspired.' It takes a lot, you feel me? To be inspired."
17. In fact, in 2022, Jonathan penned an essay for Variety where he talked about how The Dark Knight shows "what it means to be human." He talked about the complexity Ledger brought to the role of the Joker and how he vividly remembers seeing the movie in theaters for the first time when he was 18.
18. Jonathan has said that the actors he looked up to growing up were Denzel Washington, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Ben Kingsley.
19. However, he's also said that he's inspired by younger talent, like Daniel Kaluuya, Zoe Kazan, Paul Dano, and Zendaya.
20. Jonathan loves music and often makes playlists for himself and other people. After seeing Creed in 2015, the film inspired his gym playlist. Then, while filming Devotion, he would send his scene partners "written letters and songs relevant to their roles."
21. And finally, he helped found the Gotham Sidney Poitier Initiative, which he describes as "an ambitious set of programs developed around the spirit Sidney Poitier brought to the world as he broke down the barriers in the film industry and the minds of audiences. SPI aims to expand on this legacy to support the next generation of filmmakers."
