love arcade finally put up an announcement and it was what i suspected happened. one admin was carrying all the weight and when they stepped down from burnout the others gave up and ghosted. how disappointing (on the ones who ghosted, not the one who said enough is enough and stepped down). if you want to admin an rp, you need to be honest with your team about how much you can handle and step up to help carry the weight! or look elsewhere to find support to help keep your home open. and i’m speaking as a former admin who had to step down due to burnout too.

that said, idk how to contact the last lovearcade admin left standing. thank you for letting us have the closure. i appreciate your effort, and had a lot of fun there. your hard work didn’t go unnoticed. i hope you had time to rp at the place you opened at least

hello, lovely heroes.

i'm here to say what you already know: lovearcade has absolutely been abandoned. i'm coming to you as an admin who tried my hardest to keep it up and running but ultimately got burned out and stepped down before the end of things. i, along with the rest of you, expected that there would've been some sort of announcement as it only seems fair. it seems, though, that the other admins who remained on the team either didn't feel it necessary, didn't have the time, or didn't care to give an update.

real life issues were the reason that i personally had to leave, as well as some internal issues and previously mentioned burnout but i was you all to know that running this place was an absolute joy to me and i'm horribly sad to know that i went so long without any type of closure for the members who gave us so much time and showed us so much good faith.

wherever you find yourself in the future, i hope they love you all just as much and you find ample inspiration to keep your muses alive. just a note to those brave enough to open a place like this of their own in the future: make sure your admin team is well equipped, with plenty of time and plenty of enthusiasm because one (or even two) people can't do it alone, especially when the rp grows at such rapid speeds as love arcade did (which we were extremely grateful for.)

you all deserved better and i'm so sorry we weren't able to provide that. i'm even more sorry it took this long for someone to speak up. please be well, have fun writing, and take care of one another.

It’s a shame that a former admin had to come forward to confirm that lovearcade had been abandoned. I’m a bit torn by their decision to do so though. Yes, it gives closure. But then it also just shines more bad light on those that were still admins that they couldn’t come forward themselves to even give a small update confirming the place won’t be active anymore.

i know lovearcade being abandoned is still speculation, but with all the ooc posts about it over the last 2 days and *still* radio silence from the admins, i think it's safe to say it's done. which im really sad about! if the admins needed a vacation or had lost motivation, it would've been nice to hear from them about it! like, it's ok if you need to close your rp. we'd understand. it just hurts to have it happen like this without any closure as my friends splinter off again
