Hi Rocket! Its dejavernon. I just wanted to let you know a lil bit of how much I’m loving A Lover’s Playlist and all the songs you’re using… I went through a punk rock phase in my late teens (5sos was my life for several years) and so many of these songs are bringing me back!!

I’ve always been amazed at how much music can hold and how many memories and feelings can be hidden away in a single song waiting to be unlocked with the next listen no matter how many years later. Your song choices are just fantastic at seamlessly fitting into the story arc and bringing that extra level of connection to the story right to where it hits the hardest. (It also helps that I’ve been there where oc is a couple times myself lmao). I usually don’t love reading song fics bc I often find them chopped up or just not smooth to read but this whole entire series just amalgamates the lyrics seamlessly with the plot and I am loving every single chapter. Thanks for sharing this journey of a series!! I can’t wait to see where it takes us.

i’m so glad you like the series 🥹 tbh there are times where i feel like it’s choppy or like could be written better so this makes me feel less worried about it not flowing well. i spent so long trying to pick the perfect songs for each part (and im continuing to nitpick and added 2 extra songs in vern’s part lmao) so i’m glad all that work paid off 😌💛
