Reliable sources from within Nilton Santos Stadium production claim that Taylor Swift was trying to postpone the show that was supposed to take place today (11/18) since yesterday. T4F pressured her to keep the show until the last moment. Taylor was seen by the crowd struggling to breathe and trying not pass out during her Midnights act at yesterday's show.

When people ask if I really like Weezer or if it's just a joke, I always say yes, I do love them and it's not a joke. And when they ask why, I always point to the Jakarta and Bali tour they did in 2022 as why

Whether or not I love Weezer, I've always had a deep respect for artists who learn the native language of the countries they're visiting to be more inclusive with the people who can't speak English

I liked Weezer a normal amount back then, but after finding out Rivers took the time to learn how to speak Indonesian when they toured Jakarta and Bali (and even covered a very popular Indonesian song in the language with near perfect pronounciation), Weezer became my new favourite band! I love their songs, they're great (especially the Red Album and EWBAITE) but also I love when artists take the extra effort to learn about the places they're about to visit to make their shows even more memorable to the people in there! And I think that's why Weezer is a lot more special to me than any other bands I'm currently into :)

I hope this gets enough traction for you to see it, and it’s enough to give you a small bit of comfort.

I know things are rough right now. I know many people are probably trying to comfort you and, unfortunately, I’m afraid many more are trying to push you. All that to say: I know you’re trying your best. For us, for your crew, and yourself.

I know that because I’ve listened to your songs for the past 17 years, and many may call it parasocial, but I don’t think writing like yours can be faked. As someone’s who’s been through my fair share of grief, I’d like it if I’d been told: it was not your fault. There was nothing you could have done. I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Love is hard, and you’re one of the best at it; I cannot begin to imagine your pain.

We are sad. We are pissed. We are exhausted. But not at you.

You, perfectionist mastermind that you are, cannot keep control over everything; the weather and climate change are no exception.

We are pissed that a day so important to us was marred by the merciless greed of late stage capitalism. We’re sad one of us is gone, taken from this world due to corporate negligence. We’re exhausted because the powers that be have been slowly killing us for some time now, and this is just the most recent blow.

I’m sorry that you’ve had bad experience after even worse ones in my country. I wish you could see it at its best: welcoming smiles and hugs, steaming pots of real coffee, and street corner bars filled with ice cold beer and happiness.

Thank you for not wavering in your decision to postpone today’s show. I can only imagine the type of organizational nightmare that is, and yet you’re putting people’s safety and well-being first, which is all any decent person could do in this situation.

Some fans are reacting poorly to the recent events, I can only hope you will forgive us. It’s an unfortunate downside of our well-known passion: we tend to use it for everything.

Please rest, take care of yourself, and know that we’ll keep showing up for you.
