Chapter 4: The Love of Surviving | Daily Life part 1

It was night time as Katou Doi, the Ultimate Mascot had come inside carrying what look to be a Radio and Kobayashi Eito a boy with a mysterious talent walks inside with files and blueprints which it seems Hayashi Ryoko, the Ultimate Survivalist and Kita Jobon, the Ultimate Sniper took notice of this as the 2 were placing the items on the dining room table.

“Hey… what’s that you got there?” Ryoko had asked the pair as Jobon notice of the Radio almost instantly. “I haven’t seen that item ever since working in the army, where did you find it?” He asked as he look it over.

Clearly the military man was interested in the radio as Eito shrugged. “Well we found this room that likely the one controlling Hamoponi had, it had all this stuff in and I figure we talk about it tomorrow…” He stated which Ryoko nodded as she notice the blue prints.

“Which I guess that belongs to Hamoponi?” She asked as Doi place the blueprints on the table which he gave a nod. “Yep yep! Now with this stuff – maybe we can figure out who actually owns the resort and stuff!” He spoke almost excited like a child discovering new toys as then Eito cross his arms. “I mean – if we get Hamoponi’s creator on our side, we can figure out where that Haku guy went and will capture him, then I guess will contact those Future Foundation guys.” He stated.

It had been a while since they heard of Future Foundation but getting there help could be a wise choice which Ryoko ponder. “I guess it would make sense seeing as four people are dead and one has left, maybe it’ll help us get more resources.” She commented which Jobon nodded.

It seem as the four were talking, a figure had been watching over them as then they disappear and return back to their room…

The person look around as they walk over to the map they had, a map of the locations as they started to mark down the following; ‘movie theater’, ‘monitor room’ and ‘church with graveyard’.

A frown was on their face as they check over the locations as they mutter…

“Seems they change this location too…” They commented as then Hamoponi appear behind them which the person turn to him with a scowl, clearly they weren’t happy at all with this. “You promise no one would die.” They stated, clearly not please with this as then Hamoponi rubbed there chin with there hoof.

He… did promise that to the person that stood before them. “Well yes, I did promise that, didn’t I? Well it’s mostly for your own safety and most would suspect you instantly.” He explained which that person shook their head as they spoke. “I get that but even then, people are still dying, you promise they be protect… I swear, I should just tell them I’m the owner and explain the situation to them.” They commented.

Clearly the person was not impressed as Hamoponi eyed them. “You really wish to tell them? Keep in mind you’ll be endanger if you do…” He stated as they nodded. “I will, just… need to find someone I can trust easily… I’ve never been someone that trust people that easily.” They commented with annoyance.

It was sadly a flaw they had, they… could never trust anyone that easily, they fear to let others in or even trust people but still, they need to know the situation and what happen.

They have to…

The next morning, I had woken up as usual, feeling better than I was yesterday as I did my usual routine as then I made my way downstairs and saw… everyone was there.

I was surprise that now… we only had twelve people left, which surprises me we only had that many left which then Hana-san notice me.

“Good mornin’! You sure took a while, huh?” She asked which I shrugged. “I had some good sleep and besides I’m just… happy, I guess.” I stated which Masa-san look to me but then she look to the ground.

I notice she didn’t seem as happy about what’s going on, but still I don’t blame her as then I notice Kita-san look to messing with what look to be the radio as the others were surrounding.

“Huh, isn’t that radio from that room we came across?” I asked as Katou-san flexed or try to. “Yep, carry it all the way here now Jobon-kun will work on it!” He stated which as then Kita-san eyed me with a nod. “I have work with these before, so this won’t take long…” He told me which Miwa-san couldn’t help but be looking at him with hearts.

Something tells me she was happy to see him at work as she walks over. “I think it’s great you’re working on this thing! But I never took you for a tech guy – isn’t that Rai-kun’s thing?” She asked which Rai-kun huffed in annoyance as he crosses his arm. “Well, if it were me, I could make it way stronger!” He spoke up.

As then Kobayashi-san look to the Electrical Engineer. “You can do that?” He asked which he nodded. “Well of course, it’s quite easy to do! However, I think will need some place of sorts where we can send signals.” He stated which I nodded.

“Oh, you mean like Wi-Fi? I mean we got it up and going quite a while ago so shouldn’t we use that?” Kimura-san spoke as drinking her tea which then Rai-kun shook his head. “Sadly not! We need something stronger for it to work.” He stated as then Kita-san stepped back from his work as looking to the others. “Rai-san has a point, will need something with a stronger signal like a Radio tower…” He informed them which Inoue-chan tilted her head to the side.

However it seems as the others were conversing and wondering about it, I took notice that Norman-san look to be not saying anything as then I walk over to him. “Hey, your… still upset about what happen yesterday?” I asked which he look to me which he turn away. “I guess it’s that obvious but I just… I can’t accept when someone dies for the sake of another, I mean they had people that care for them and clearly those that need them… I just can’t accept that at all.” He spoke as I went silent.

I feel that Norman-san could not accept Benjiro-san’s death as a suicide which I can respect that however it seems that Miwa-san turn to them which she frowns. “If anything, you’re coming off as ungrateful…” She spoke as this cause Norman-san to glare at her. “Ungrateful?! Why would you assume that! I can’t help but feel that those that give up their lives are leaving those behind – having to pick up the pieces and work what they left off… I just felt like Benjiro didn’t need to die like that-.” He spoke which as he was about to…

A loud noise came, it was one that got our attention and one that took me and everyone by surprise which was Hayashi-san, she slapped Norman-san across the face as it froze him which we look to her as she crosses her arms, clearly not please with his words.

“You don’t seem to realize that while one may day, others can live and I think we understood that except for you…” She spoke as Norman-san was shock by this reaction from the survivalist.

Which as then Norman-san went silent, clearly disturbed by that slap suddenly Hamoponi appear as he seems happier as he had an apple in his hand. “I have heard talks about the radio tower and good news for you all, there is a Radio tower that you can use! But there is a forest so there is dangerous animals roaming around.” He spoke as all of us look to him which Rai-kun seem very excited. “Re-Really?! Then let’s go right now! We need to hurry and get to that tower!” He declared.

Not seeming to care for what happen but clearly more interested in the new area which then he turns to Kita-san. “Soldier boy, we’re off to get this baby set up now let’s go!” He shouted as he rushes out of the lodge at quick speed.

I swear, Rai-kun was really like lightning that flash by which Inoue-chan seem shock by that reaction. “He really is on the go, huh? Did he suddenly get super speed like the Flash?” She asked which Kobayashi-san gave a nervous look. “I think it would scare me more if he WAS the Flash…” He stated as a joke which then Hayashi-san smiled a bit. “Well them, let’s get going.” As then she walk over as helping the sniper with the radio. “How about you get a gun…” She told him.

“Huh, you think so?” He asked which she nodded. “Counting we have no idea what’s going to be in the area we better be careful.” She stated which he gave a nod. “Thanks, well you think you can carry that just fine… I mean if you need help, I don’t mind.” He stated which she blushed. “I… can handle this, besides it be wise to have a gun man with us and with my survival skills we’re a great team.” She stated as she took her leave which cause the sniper to blush a bit.

“A… Team, yeah we sure are.” He commented as Masa-san laughed a bit. “Huh, seems your developing something, right?” She asked which he look at her with confusion. “I… guess? I mean as far as I know, we just have the same view of life so might be why I connected with her so well.” He stated as he rush upstairs.

However as everyone was leaving, I notice… Miwa-san seem to be looking at the conversation with disappointment which I walk over. “Hey, is… everything okay?” I asked which the figure skater notice me which she places her hand on her check. “Oh, don’t worry for me! It’s nothing… anyway, let’s get going then~.” She commented as she left in a hurry.

Hana-san frown as she crosses her arms. “Something tells me she is hidin’ something; she really should be more honest with herself.” She commented which Inoue-chan shook her head, still not getting the whole deal. “I mean, she should just come out and confess, y’know… I hate teenage drama like this…” She spoke as if bored of it then she left the room.

As then all of us left the lodge and headed to the new area…

When we came up to; seems Hamoponi say was true to his word and honestly, I couldn’t but look around.

It was entirely forest and what look to be a radio tower not too far from here. Does that mean…we can contact the outside world?!

As then I felt excitement from this – we can finally call for help, we can finally contact people!

“Alright, your all here! Now let’s go and get to that Radio Tower!” Rai-kun spoke, just as excited as I am which he lead the way which Kita-san and Hayashi-san turn to the others. “Will follow after him, just to keep him safe and if any trouble comes along…” The survivalist spoke as she follows after the Electrical Engineer as well as Kita-san.

As then Masa-san look to everyone else. “Well I guess we find a way to communicate but I think it be best if I follow after them.” She commented as then everyone began to go along the trail with the last being Norman-san who had remain quiet however, I notice something…

The trail was pretty simple as there were pines and then lead up a slope until we reach a side of a cliff as we follow it along which as we walk along, I look around just trying to get a grasp of where we are but as then I felt the ground shake as I pause which Inoue-chan, Kobayashi-san, Kimura-san, Katou-san and Norman-san were behind me.

“Huh? Hey why aren’t you moving?” The blue hair boy asked, clearly confused as then I turn around. “I… I think we have to be careful.” I answered which Kimura-san seem confused. “Careful? About what?” She asked which I look around. “I just felt the ground move, so let’s move carefully…” I told them as we all try to move carefully across the ledge as so to not cause trouble.

Suddenly I felt the ground shake except it felt more violent which this time Kobayashi-san notice it too. “I… think you might be right Fuji-san, this sounds bad we better turn back and-.” As about to suddenly the shaking happen and became even worse as suddenly snow started falling as I look up then I turn to the others in the panic.

“RUN!!!”

I shouted as the six of us try to make a mad dash back to where we came from but then the avalanche cave in on the other side as it did the other side then finally-.

It went dark I… don’t recall what happen all I remember is snow falling on top of us and then we fell down the trial and ended up somewhere dark…

…

“He-Hey, Big sis Fuji! Get up, please tell me if your okay!” I open my eyes and look around. “O-oh, Inoue-chan – your... okay but where are we?” I asked as I look around which I saw that myself, Inoue-chan, Kobayashi-san who look to be lighting a lantern, Kimura-san who look to be helping Katou-san up and Norman-san look around. “Seems… were in an old mine shaft.” The Ringmaster spoke as he looks around.

I got up slowly as I check the surroundings, I was surprise that I didn’t suffer any injuries oddly enough as then Kobayashi-san look to me. “At least most of us came unharmed but still… this really is bad luck, isn’t it?” He asked as Katou-san walk over as giving a worried look. “I think I’m worry for the others; you think there okay?” He asked.

I was so excited to finally get help but now… were separated from Masa-san, Hayashi-san, Kita-san, Miwa-san, Hana-san and… Rai-kun, he was really excited but now I’m worried. We got to get out of here and fast.

“Right then, let’s go and see if we can find the exit…” I told the others which with a nod from them we decided to look around the old mine shaft.

As then we began to wander around and as I notice there were… items lying around and even things that look new which then I realize…

“Hold on, did Hamoponi put that stuff that is dangerous in here?” I turn to Kimura-san who ask as she notices things like guns, bombs, various bottles, knives and even books were kept in here as well as then Katou-san walk over as looking at the gun. “I guess he wanted to keep these somewhere but still, it’s a lot of stuff, even weapons too…” Kobayashi-san check over a bomb.

As then I walk over and took notice of the various items as Inoue-chan walk beside me as seeing the items. “I guess I could see why Hamoponi would place this stuff here but still… what luck for us to end up here, huh?” She asked as I gave a nod however as I turn to the others.

As then Norman-san walk away which he looks to be carrying a book as stuffing in his pocket which he turns to the rest of us. “We better be off; I think will need a way out…” He stated which Katou-san nodded.

“Yeah, I don’t want to stay too long and I think the others are worried for us so let’s get out of here…!” He told us as he went on ahead as the rest of us follow after Katou-san which then we found what look to be an elevator.

“Is… this the way out?” I asked as then Norman-san look at it then towards me. “Seems like it, well let’s go in…” He told them as myself, Kobayashi-san, Kimura-san, Katou-san and Inoue-chan walk into the elevator which then we gone up which then we reach the top floor however as I was as we were getting off.

Suddenly Norman-san rush out as he close the elevator door. “Sorry but I don’t think I want you lot to get involved as I discover the owner of the resort AND Hamoponi’s creator!” “Th-The Hell, Norman-san wait-!” was all Kobayashi-san shouted before Norman-took out garden sheers as then the elevator fell.

It was going dark, seriously… why do we keep falling?!

The fall took a while then it went to black… total blackness once more as then I passed out again…

…

I slowly open my eyes again and this time… we were in a deeper part of the mines as I look around, it was cave in and rocks were everywhere. Was it due to the elevator shaft?

I look to see that the others were okay which Inoue-chan look dizzy. “Wow, we fell and can never get up; seriously are we becoming Alice in Wonderland now…?” She asked as then I look around it seem the only source of light were lanterns as Kobayashi-san turn them out which he look to us.

“Seems… were trap, what the actual hell.” He commented as then he gesture. “Well, what the hell do we do?” He asked as then Kimura-san look around then notice a pile of rocks. “He-hey, there looks to be rocks over that way that could be move if we work together…” She stated as Katou-san got up as he walk over which he huffed.

“There looks to be quite a few actually! We can try and move them if we can, so let’s go and-!” “Are you sure it’s the way out…?” Kobayashi-san asked as Katou-san look to him. “Huh? Well it has to be… I mean we could move them out of the way if we want…” He stated as trying to stay positive which Kobayashi-san frown. “Look, I know you do but what can we do? First we fell into a mine shaft and now someone might do something, it’s totally hopeless! How the hell can we get out?” He asked, clearly annoyed.

As then I walk over as placing a hand on Kobayashi-san’s shoulder.

“Eito-san, I… don’t think we should give up, our friends really do need us; we… can’t lose hope, we must find a way out and warn them.” I told him which then Eito-san stepped back. “Hmph, going on about hope? I really hope your not connecting to Hope’s Peak…” He stated which I frown.

Clearly the guy does not like hope as I shook my head. “No, I’m not – I’m not thinking about that school but hoping to survive with the others; we need that hope to live and even try to reconnect with them – I’m… sure we can get out and find a way to escape, we can’t give up! We must try and make an escape ourselves, We�� don’t need Hope’s Peak to be a symbol of hope, we need to work together so c’mon… let’s try then.” I told him as the others look to me.

“She’s… right, we should try and make an escape ourselves, these rocks don’t seem as sturdy so let’s go and try.” Kimura-san spoke as checking over the rocks which Inoue-chan gave a nod. “Yep, even if I’m only a kid we should try and stay hopeful, we shouldn’t give up now Eito-kun…” She stated as she walk over as the three of us try to carry rocks.

The last person to look to Eito-san was Katou-san which he tilted his head to the side. “Those three are right, while yes Hope’s Peak is a symbol of Hope… we should see ourselves as symbols of hope too, so let’s try and work together.” He told him which Eito-san stare at them which the shoved his hands in his coat pocket.

Clearly, he was thinking then with a shrug he rushes over as decided to help take the rocks out. “Damn you guys really are cheesy, huh? Like some power of friendship stuff, I think we can try and work together so let’s go…” He snarked which I couldn’t help but laugh as he helps lift a rock.

As then… we all started working together to escape out of here and return to the others, all we can do… is hope, hope for an escape and hope for an exit if anything.

As such… we can give up, we must hope for an escape and survive with the others!

As Fuji and her group had work on an escape, let’s see how our group is doing…

April 13th, 1990 from the Tokyo Dome.

A combined WWF, AJPW and NJPW supershow?! Yes indeed. Mostly. Sort of.

For reasons I can’t quite explain, this felt like a festive stocking filler of a show to review, so this my gift to you – it’s better than nothing, eh? Let’s get to it.

First of all, some context courtesy of the Wrestling Observer (by way of Scott Keith’s great Observer Flashbacks):

On 29 November 1989, the revived Universal Wrestling Federation – headed by former New Japan Pro-Wrestling talent Akira Maeda – ran a Tokyo Dome show which broke the records for fastest sell-out and biggest ever gate in Japan. NJPW founder Antonio Inoki was humiliated by this and booked a Tokyo Dome show for the following February which was to feature four reigning world heavyweight champions – Vader/NJPW, Hulk Hogan/WWF, Ric Flair/NWA and Larry Zbyszko/AWA. They weren’t able to book Hogan, however, and the mooted Muta vs. Flair match was cancelled at the last minute, with Flair citing political pressure from Turner Broadcasting System.

Flair’s cancellation, combined with the threat posed by the UWF led to a surprising and unlikely alliance, as New Japan and rivals All Japan Pro Wrestling agreed to trade foreign talent. The deal was facilitated by the man who deposed Inoki as NJPW President, Seiji Sakaguchi, and led to the Tokyo Dome show on 10 February being co-promoted, with the card ultimately featuring the debut of former sumo wrestler Koji Kitao vs. Bam Bam Bigelow, Masa Saito beating Zbyszko for the AWA title and Vader defending his IWGP title in a brutal match against All Japan’s Stan Hansen.

Meanwhile, Vince McMahon had booked a WWF show at the Tokyo Dome for April and a few weeks later (reported 5 February 1990) held a press conference with All Japan owner, Giant Baba, to announce that it would be a joint show with both AJPW and NJPW. It was christened Wrestling Summit soon after.

The advertised card was modified in places, most significantly with regards to NJPW’s matches, two of which took place at the show, but neither of which made it to tape. This was because the show’s television broadcaster, Nippon TV, was home to All Japan and therefore unwilling to promote a rival wrestling company. (Note: there may well be fan-cam recordings of those matches, but I couldn’t find them.) Because of this, the show has since become thought of as joint WWF/AJPW venture only and the two companies have enjoyed a fruitful working relationship ever since. Wait, that’s not right. More on the fallout later.

The opening match (AJPW: Dan Kroffat, Doug Furnas & Joe Malenko defeating Samson Fuyuki, Tatsumi Kitahara & Toshiaki Kawada) wasn’t shown either, so we skip that and match No.2 (NJPW: Jushin Thunder Liger beating Akira Nogami) and go straight to…

Kenta Kobashi & Masanobu Fuchi vs. Jimmy Snuka & Tito Santana

Kobashi, in red trunks and still looked like a teenager, was already drawing a decent reaction from the crowd. He and Santana went back-and-forth for a couple of minutes, with Santana dominating, but Kobashi hit back with a springboard crossbody(!) and made the tag to Fuchi, who unloaded with right hands then scored an enzuigiri to set up Kobashi’s missile dropkick. Fuchi then delivered the same to Snuka, who was tagged moments later. Kobashi earned a two-count with a crossbody out of the corner and followed with one from the top-rope, then Fuchi was in to dump the blown-up Snuka with a backdrop. Tag made to Santana, who ran wild with dropkicks and a leaping forearm, then he scoop slammed Fuchi to tee up Snuka’s Superfly Splash for the three-count. Snuka looked rough here and messed up a couple of things in the brief time he was in the ring, but it was otherwise a fairly decent tag match. I certainly got a kick out of seeing young Kobashi’s flashy offence. **

Bret “The Hitman” Hart vs. Tiger Mask II

Bret Hart vs. Mitsuharu Misawa! This should be amazing (spoiler: it is not). Tiger spent the opening minutes controlling the arm, then dropkicked Hart to the floor and fooled him with a dive fake-out. Hart charged straight into an armdrag before a crucifix earned two and it was back to Tiger controlling on the mat. Hart fought to his feet and reversed Tiger’s crossbody for two-count before cinching in a chinlock, but after a couple of minutes of that a rope-running sequence allowed Tiger to catapult Hart into the turnbuckle and it was back to the arm once more. Hart countered a second crucifix, scored a couple of elbows then applied another chinlock when it threatened to get interesting. Tiger powered up, landed a spin kick and flattened Hart on the outside with a plancha. Back in, Hart reached the ropes from a cross armbar then feigned a knee injury from a leapfrog to take control. Backbreaker from Hart for two, backslide counter by Tiger for two, then Hart threw Tiger to the floor before bringing him back in for a Russian Leg Sweep.

Tiger fought up from of a third chinlock to hit a scoop slam, but Hart delivered a nasty inverted atomic drop and suplex for a two-count. A fourth – fourth! – chinlock was applied, then abdominal stretches were traded before Hart missed the middle-rope diving elbow and Tiger connected with a diving crossbody for a near-fall. Sternum-first turnbuckle whip and just as Tiger hit a running crossbody the bell rang to signal a 20-minute draw. I can’t recall seeing Hart dog it quite so obviously in a singles match. He was the one (very obviously) calling the match, which barely got out of second gear before being put back in a rest hold. A month later Misawa would be unmasked and in June he would beat Jumbo Tsuruta in his first Budokan main event – this was no young boy in the ring with Bret and it’s embarrassing in hindsight that he treated him as such. Bret + Misawa = 4/10 (no, seriously, it’s a two-star match).

Greg “The Hammer” Valentine vs. The Great Kabuki

Valentine’s music was “She’s Got The Look” by Roxette. I have no idea why. Anyway, Valentine – who was cosplaying as the untaped Riki Choshu – started strongly with elbow strikes until Kabuki replied with closed fists, which referee Shane McMahon decided to let go. Double-arm suplex from Valentine for two, then knife edge chops and a sort of rudimentary Jackhammer for another two-count. Kabuki managed to fling himself into the tree-of-woe, from which he was released by Shane O Mac, only for Valentine to stomp low. Kabuki blocked the figure-four, though, and applied a Boston Crab until Valentine reached the ropes. More elbows and a scoop slam from Valentine, followed by a shinbreaker and much mocking of Kabuki’s mannerism, but Kabuki had the last laugh as he small packaged Valentine for the three-count. This was fine and Valentine’s efforts to garner heat were appreciated. *1/2

Big Boss Man vs. Jake “The Snake” Roberts

Despite both men being babyfaces at the time, Boss Man worked heel here, catching Roberts early on with a spinebuster then working on the back. This continued in uninspired fashion for several minutes before a chinlock was applied and Roberts tried gamely to get the crowd into it. Nope. Boss Man went to the top-rope after delivering a scoop slam, but the diving belly flop missed and allowed Roberts to make the comeback with punches and the short clothesline. Something went awry with Roberts’ knee lift, but no matter, as the DDT connected moments later to give Jake the win and Damien made a post-match cameo. Boss Man’s offence – which was the body of the match – was awful in every respect. Not good at all. 1/2*

Next up was an IWGP Tag Team title match in which the champions, Masa Saito & Shinya Hashimoto, successfully defended against the challengers, Masahiro Chono & Riki Choshu. Sounds like a good match on paper.

Jumbo Tsuruta & King Haku vs. Mr. Perfect & Rick Martel

Perfect and Martel first dealt with Haku then went after Jumbo, who quickly turned the tide with a jumping knee to Perfect. The commentator loved that one. Haku took control with a nice shoulderbreaker, then a double-team clothesline enabled Jumbo to lock in the abdominal stretch. Martel interfered to break the hold, allowing Perfect to fire back with stomps, punches and the rolling neck snap. A big scoop slam from Jumbo brought in Haku, whose flipping senton missed the mark, bringing in Martel for the first time. A pair of scoop slams and a series of elbows set up the frankensteiner(!) for a near-fall, and after a brief flurry from Perfect, Martel was back in with a slingshot splash, but a second attempted frankensteiner resulted in him being dropped into the turnbuckle. Haku couldn’t make the tag, though, and a double-team slam allowed Martel to lock in the Boston Crab. Now it was Jumbo’s turn to interject, but all it led to was Perfect tagging in for an abdominal stretch of his own. Suplex from Martel and a knee drop for two, then an eye rake and scoop slam, but Haku got his knees up on the diving splash and he finally made the hot tag to Jumbo! Back body drops and scoop slams all round, then he and Haku whipped their opponents together, Jumbo nailed Martel with the jumping knee and the Backdrop Hold got the win! A very basic layout, with Haku imperilled for the majority of the match, but Martel and Perfect’s offence was nice and varied and the hot tag to Jumbo worked a treat. Good match. ***

“Macho King” Randy Savage (w/ Sensational Sherri) vs. Genichiro Tenryu

Nice bird’s eye view of the ring as Savage entered the ring – they should use that again. Savage got a couple of punches in before taking a powder and posing on the turnbuckle, then Tenryu flipped out of a suplex and floored Savage with chops to a big reaction. Sherri’s distraction saw Savage briefly gain control, but Tenryu nailed a clothesline, back body dropped Savage to the floor and followed with a crossbody from the apron! Sherri got involved again, allowing Savage some respite and drawing huge heat, which was amazing to watch. Back in, Tenryu blocked Savage’s charge and scored an enzuigiri, but Savage hit back with a clothesline and punches before pushing the referee to the mat.

Another clothesline got two and one more sent Tenryu to the floor where Savage struck him with the double axe handle from the top-rope. Sherri twice gave Tenryu a smack behind the ref’s back and a second diving axe handle in the ring earned a near-fall, then Savage headed up top and the diving elbow hit the mark! One, two, no! A third axe handle was blocked, but Tenryu couldn’t get the powerbomb and Savage scored a diving crossbody. He seemed to tweak his knee off that, which gave Tenryu the opening for one more enzuigiri and this time the powerbomb connected! One, two, three! This was wrestled at a great pace and, thanks to Sherri, benefitted from plenty of heat. Savage dominated, Tenryu showed fighting spirit and it was certainly a sign of respect that he kicked out of the diving elbow drop. Really good match. ***1/2

WWF World Heavyweight Championship

Ultimate Warrior (c) vs. “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase

Warrior was fresh off beating Hulk Hogan for the title at Wrestlemania VI and had been world champion less than two weeks at this point. This had initially been advertised as an Intercontinental title match.

DiBiase attacked Warrior as he was playing to the crowd, but Warrior quickly brushed him off, sending him to the floor with a clothesline over the top. He proceeded to demonstrate his strength from a few tie-ups, then a criss cross led to a big shoulder block, but DiBiase avoided the attempted flying clothesline and took control. The crowd started chanting something every time he punched Warrior and he got a big reaction for clothesline and two-count. No idea what that was about. Snapmare and a fist drop and another massive reaction for a suplex. What is going on? Piledriver from DiBiase! That got two despite Warrior’s foot being under the rope, then it was time for the champ to make the comeback with a bunch of clotheslines, the flying clothesline and the big splash to retain his title in under 7 minutes. The bizarre crowd reaction made this relatively entertaining, but there wasn’t much to it otherwise. These two would have a far better match on the fourth edition of The Main Event later in 1990. *1/2

Demolition (Ax & Smash) vs. Andre the Giant & Giant Baba

Demolition were the reigning WWF tag champs at the time, having beaten Andre and Haku (aka The Colossal Connection) at Wrestlemania VI, but this is a non-title match because… well, look at the team they’re facing.

Baba began by shoulder blocking Smash and chopping him a few times before tagging in Andre. He was looking rough, bless him, but was mobile enough to stand on Smash before missing an elbow drop. Ax and Smash tagged in-and-out a few times, taking turns at clubbing Andre until he was able to roll over to the corner and bring in Baba once more. Baba trampled Ax, but Demolition quickly took control in their corner, choking him behind the ref’s back. More chops from Baba, and a spinning neckbreaker(!) saw Andre return to manhandle Ax. It all got a bit out of hand, with Baba interjecting and nailing a big boot to Smash, and Andre capitalised with an elbow drop for the (sort of) three-count. Not a good match by any means, but that was to be expected. Still, Demolition flung themselves around and the crowd enjoyed it. *

Special Dream Match

Hulk Hogan vs. Stan Hansen

This was due to be Hogan vs. Terry Gordy (despite Vince McMahon initially pushing for Hogan vs. Dusty Rhodes, according to Dave Meltzer), but that was before Hogan lost the WWF title. Supposedly, neither Baba nor Gordy were pleased with this development and so the match was changed on the day of the show, with Hansen replacing Gordy out of self-interest or selflessness, depending on who you believe.

An even opening exchange saw Hogan demonstrating some technical prowess with double-leg and drop toehold takedowns, then they traded slaps and eye rakes until Hansen threw Hogan to the floor. Hogan fought free and managed to ram Hansen’s head into the ringpost, busting him open! Back suplex in the ring for two, then Hogan targeted the cut with punches and stomps before locking in an abdominal stretch. Knife edge chops in the corner sent Hansen to the floor again, where he was punched over the guardrail and slammed onto a table! Hogan posed in the ring, then brought Hansen back in for a two-count and delivered more chops in the corner. Finally, Hansen was able to block a charge and he bulldozed Hogan with a shoulder block.

Outside, Hansen smashed Hogan in the head with a chair and now Hogan was busted open too! Hansen drew cheers by rolling him back into the ring for a two-count and proceeded to wail on him with punches, then a brief sojourn to the floor saw Hansen use his bull rope, but back in, Hogan nailed a running elbow. The leg drop missed, but Hogan connected with a running crossbody(!) for a near-fall, then pushed Hansen off and nailed the Axe Bomber! One, two, three! What a great match. I’d go as far to say it was one of the best of Hogan’s career. Aggressive brawling, double colour and a clean finish. What more could you want? ****

The usual Hogan schtick to close and we’re out.

The Aftermath

The UWF held what was to be their final show at the Tokyo Dome on 1 December 1990. This came after many months of issues between UWF President, Jin Shinji, and Akira Maeda over the direction of the company, as well as being a consequence of the general economic downturn in Japan. Maeda would go on to form shoot-style promotion Fighting Network RINGS, while a third iteration of the UWF – Union of Wrestling Forces International (UWFi) – would run until the end of 1996, albeit on a much smaller scale.

Only weeks after Wrestling Summit took place, Genichiro Tenryu left All Japan Pro Wrestling. Backed by well-known spectacles makers Megane Super, Tenryu would become the figurehead of a new promotion named Super World of Sports (SWS), who spent big and quickly built an impressive roster.

In October 1990, WWF representatives JJ Dillon and Akio Sato visited Japan and made a deal with SWS for a working agreement (AJPW having been given only a courtesy meeting and NJPW unwilling to meet the WWF’s terms). WWF talent began wrestling semi-regularly for SWS in December of that year and continued to do so until May 1992. A month after that, SWS held its final show in tumultuous circumstances, with talent splitting off into several new promotions. One of these was Tenryu’s WAR, with whom WWF held a joint show in September of that year. Beyond that, WWF ran four house shows across Japan in 1994 and… that was it for a long time. They didn’t return until 2002.

Tenryu’s departure from AJPW led directly to the push of Mitsuharu Misawa, which in turn would lead to the most prosperous time in the company’s history, and despite their absence from the footage, the likes of Hashimoto, Chono and Liger would bring about similar incredible success for NJPW. Coupled with the demise of the UWF and later SWS, this meant neither company was desperate enough to co-promote for the rest of the decade, and they wouldn’t run another joint show until 2011/2012, when they and Pro Wrestling NOAH organised a pair of events in response to the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.

Final thoughts: A preposterous one-off event in the middle of an extraordinary time for Japanese professional wrestling – of course it’s a recommendation. Even at its worst, this bizarre spectacle is thoroughly entertaining. Clearly it’s not a high quality show, with the Misawa/Hart match a notable disappointed, but there are couple of very good matches here that would be worth seeing even if isolated from the occasion.

Chapter 5 Survivors Free Time Events part 1

So counting this is spoiler and if you haven’t read chapter 5, then please do ready them before you continue on this, this is a warning!

ALSO A TRIGGER WARNING: One of the Free Time events here is going to mention things like rape and teenager pregnancy, if you are trigger by any of the contents this Free Time Events contains, please tread carefully.

A world where those that didn’t make it or just couldn’t survive the cruel world get a chance here, A world where things are right… A world where death never happen.

I look around and saw that I was in the see where those dead would usually sit in, I guess this is what it’s like to be dead…

Well regardless – I gave a sigh as I knew, I could never be around them… I knew I could never be there for them but I just had to, I had to save Sunako-chan if Masa-san try anything and what Haku say… he knew Masa-san in that killing game, he… made good points towards her but then I shook my head.

I just hope… the others could stop him where I fail but anyway, I look down and saw about 7 buttons; Sunako-chan, Tomoe-san, Miwa-san, Eito-san, Doi-san, Haiiro-san and… Hana-san, the person that was my accomplice in this crime.

As then I decided to get this over with, as then I push the first button… Sunako-chan.

She then appears as she looks around then she saw me as shock to see me as then she teared up. “Yo-Your dead, aren’t you?” She asked, as then I gave a nod. “I… am so sorry but I had to protect you and I apologize.” I spoke which the girl look down.

“I… promise myself to face my memories and never let them go, Big Sis Fuji – I’ll be sure to never forget.” She spoke which I smiled. “Well, that’s good, then… you wish to talk?” I asked which she quickly nod.

Inoue Sunako Free Time Events!

Which then me and Sunako-chan began to talk about various things and even change subjects, she seems to enjoy talking to me and I couldn’t help but listen to her active imagination which I had a good laugh honestly.

Looks like me and Inoue-chan got closer together which is good!

I took out various crayons and things that can help one draw which I handed it to her. “Hmm, interesting items – this could help with my plans for world domination!” She spoke in a joke like matter, let’s hope that is the case…

It seems she smiled at me. “Sooo, gonna guess what my lil’ talent yet?” She asked with a huge smile which I try to think it over… she tends to act out and seems to listen to instruction. “Um, how about lil’ Ultimate Drama?” I asked which then she frown for a moment which she look sideways. “Um… no, I don’t really like that talent very much.” She stated which I was surprise with that reaction.

She doesn’t like acting? Well I guess some kids don’t like the idea of being on a stage. “You don’t like being on the stage?” I asked which she nodded as in a thinking pose. “I guess not, I mean – I just… never really saw myself as trying to get attention or even like being center stage maybe keeping your head low so you aren’t a teacher’s pet is better.” She stated which I was left confused by that statement.

So she hates being a teacher’s favorite which I blinked. “Still… I figure with how smart you are, I’m sure teachers must favor you for doing quite well, right?” I asked which then she put her hands behind her as moving her feet back and forth. “Well – sometimes but honestly, I rather just not have them touch me or even give me the time of day besides… there are some pretty bad people out there that tend to go after the young ones, plus I do hear mothers tend to push there kids on the stage… I just don’t like that at all.” She spoke which made me wonder about that.

Which got me to think. “Then… did your mother do that to you?” I asked which she thought it over. “Once but, I just couldn’t handle being on stage – I mean it must be easy for you to get on the stage and be in the limelight, right?” She told me with a huge smile.

She… seems to be dodging the question or doesn’t seem to like talking about herself at all, that really isn’t good…

Inoue Sunako, Ultimate Child Prodigy FTE: 3/5

It was then we decided to continue talking since time did not matter in dreams, correct?

Looks like me and Inoue-chan got closer together which is good!

As then I took out what look to be candies of all colours and even shapes, I heard they even got different flavors too which I gave to her. “Oooh, something I totally like! I’ll glad take that so thank you!” She thanked me as taking the item.

As then she had that smile again which I couldn’t tell if she was faking it or not but then she asked. “Well, time for another guess but keep in mind you only get 2 chances then that’s it!” She spoke which I was a bit confused by this.

“Right then, well… maybe Ultimate Social Studies? I mean you seem to handle speaking with people just fine.” She blinked then her face went a bit red. “I mean, I’m okay with that one but there is someone that’s better honestly, a boy actually…” She stated as looking away.

Something tells me that this might be someone she has a crush on…

Suddenly the child looks at me with shock. “He-Hey, don’t give me that weird look! I mean, it’s not like I could ever be with him anyway since he has his eyes on someone else…” She admitted which I blinked as then she sighed. “I mean, the girl he likes is pretty popular in class plus it’s some dumb kid crush anyway, it’s not like he has much reason to like me.” She stated as a matter of fact then I huffed.

“Hey, I think there are quite a few traits you have that could have boys like you; I mean people might find your intelligence rather nice, your sense of humor could be funny and even if you can get nosey – I do think if given time maybe they’ll learn to like you more.” I told her which she blinked then she still didn’t seem sure.

I get a strange feeling Sunako-chan was someone that doesn’t want to speak of this crush of hers which then I asked. “Well, maybe you can tell me what you like about this boy?” I asked which she try to think then smiled a little but not by much. “We-Well, he’s really super smart and pretty patient, like even if we cause mischief or trouble, he tends to be quite calm. He really does try to keep everything under control and have quite a good head on his shoulder; I uh… even recall a time he ask if I was okay after my mommy got into a coma since I was still pretty down about it.” She told me which I smiled a bit.

“From the sounds of it, I could see why you could be crushing on him, he seems reliable…” I stated which she smiled but then it became a frown. “Yep, but… sometimes I can’t help but feel bad when everyone expects from him; he always worries he’ll never meet up to standards, I mean… he already has impressed me enough and honestly if you have expectations place on you – you’ll end up failing in the end…” She spoke which I blinked.

I guess that would be a reason people would be afraid of that which I spoke. “Then… are you afraid of that too?” I asked which she seems surprise. “Huh?” “You seem scared people would have expectations for you or you feel you’ll fail them, right?” I asked which she went silent then she sighed.

“Maybe but even then, I… don’t think it matters much – seeing as he already has his eyes set on someone that probably make him happy, besides love is weird anyway~.” She spoke as laughing at that rather… depressing puppy crush story.

I… wasn’t sure what to say on the matter or even sure how to address this at all…

I then went to grab a calculator that seems to handle any equations but I’m not sure if Sunako-chan would find this interesting as then I gave it to her which her eyes light up. “Oh gosh, this is something I really really want, I totally want this so bad so thank you, thank you, thank yooou!” She spoke in excitement as then she puts it away.

She… really seem to like that gift so I’m happy to see that she’s happy.

As then she gave one straight expression. “So… you wish to give this game one more try?” She asked which as then I started to think it over then I shook my head. “I don’t think so but I did learn quite a bit about you during my time so… I don’t think I’ll play this game anymore if you don’t want to.” I stated which she blinked.

She sighed then shrugged. “I… guess we can stop, I was personally getting bored of that game and even then the girl I was talking about has a talent that makes everyone follow her and… she’s someone that’s my friend or well, formerly.” She spoke which I seem surprise.

The girl that the boy she had a crush had a crush on was an lil’ Ultimate talent which then she looks at me. “Like I say my talent isn’t really that special and even then, the lil Ultimate talent she has is one you have in the morning and everyone seems to like it and listen to her, unlike me of course which I don’t mind…” She spoke.

So there is a class that this girl she sees as her former friend that is good at this class that everyone has… it is…

I try to think a class everyone has in the morning then I recall. “Um, Homeroom? I do recall liking that class when I was a kid, is that the lil Ultimate talent your former friend has?” I asked which she gave a first nod.

“Yep, I mean as say my mommy and her daddy’s company work together in robotics, I tend to spend a lot of time with her and she tends to like my ideas but… she made everyone of our friends hate me due to one idea I had but…” She suddenly went silent as I also went silent, the conversation then she closes her eyes and spoke.

“But hey, it’s okay! I mean I’m with all of you and honestly, I think that’s what I like! I rather be here in the present and now then focus on the past! I mean, isn’t that what matters in the end…?”

She spoke as giving me a teary smile, clearly the girl seems to confess something to me and honestly while I couldn’t be sure what to say but… I understand Sunako-chan quite a bit which I suppose if she feels that way…

No, I’m sure she could still accept those bad memories and try to not be scare of them anymore if she works at it but maybe I’ll tell her later… I’m sure of it.

After that I did talk about other things with Sunako-chan to try and get her mind off the conversation – even if it isn’t much but… at least it’s something, right?

However even if I’m not there for her anymore, I’m sure she can face those fears with the others…

Then after a while I decided to press the next button which would be Tomoe-chan’s which then she appears which she looks around then look to me. “Fuji-chan, I… guess you appear in my dream, huh?” She asked which I gave a silent nod. “Yep, which I guess you all figure out what happen, right?” I asked which she went silent.

“We did, I’m… that Haku really dangerous; he’s able to convince you to go through with this plan of yours but will be sure to stop him.” She told me which I smiled a bit. “Thank you, I really hope you can do that where I failed…” I commented which then she smiles.

Seems I guess will start a conversation…

Kimura Tomoe Free Time Events!

As then me and Tomoe-san began to talk quite a bit and honestly the conversation was pretty interesting and nice, I really couldn’t help but feel engaged with talking with her about recent trends and had fun.

Seems me and Tomoe-san grew a bit closer…

I took out some flower-scented perfume bottle which I gave her. “Ah for me, thank you! I’ll gladly take it.” She thanked me as taking the bottle. Seems she likes it so that’s good, suddenly Tomoe-san went quiet again which then she had a serious expression.

“Fuji-chan, I had wonder something… how was your relationship with your dad before he died?” She asked which I went silent then I spoke up and smiled. “Well my dad tend to be pretty stern and while busy, I think he care for me but I think mom says I tend to get my personality from him which… I guess isn’t too far off, why do you ask?” I stated which she nodded then look the other way.

Seems she was wondering what to say in this then she sighed. “I see, then that’s good to hear that since I remember our conversation and thinking of how my father was, see my father was a Hope’s Peak Student – his talent works pretty well with my mom, it was the Ultimate Wedding Planner I recall he always loved weddings and had a joy in creating them, he truly was a man that love love, y’know.” She commented which I guess people tend to find there love in various things.

I smiled a bit. “That sounds like a pretty fun talent to have, you must of gone to them, huh?” I asked which she shrugged. “Not really, some of the weddings were for people I didn’t know but when my dad was around he tends to show me various photos of weddings, couples and how they are set up; I even recall a time he jokingly ask me of what colour of roses he should go for as well…” She giggled a bit recalling the memory.

I couldn’t help but feel that from the sounds of her and her dad got along pretty well which then she seem a bit sadden by this. “I… even recall a time that I told my dad that if I ever get marry, I wanted him to set up my wedding and… he promises he would which it was before he went on the ship and well… y’know what happen after that.” She say as she went to silent which I was silent as well with a sadden expression.

“Thinking back on that day, mother… really did change and not for the better, she stop function and while she attended certain events but she never really felt like she was there,” Tomoe-san stated which then she bit her lip and close her eyes. “I even recall a talent show I was in which I ask mom to attend which… she never did, I think it was the first time I actually hated my mother and started to not like her at all… like I get she was hurt and upset that dad was gone but even then, she had a kid to take care of…” She spoke which I frown for a moment.

I gave a small nod. “It… does seem like she really love you father, has she move on or even try to see other people?” I asked which she shook her head. “No, she never has – I mean she had men approach her before but she show no interest, I guess it shows how loyal she was…” She stated which I gave a nod.

Something tells me that Tomoe-san is still talking about her mother and even her father as well which from the sounds of it… they seem like a happy family before he passed away and the mother and daughter are having a hard time understanding the other’s prospective but it seems Tomoe-san is trying to…

“I’m… still trying to understand my mother, like I get people would be annoyed talking about her and I do need to move on and…” “Tomoe-san, it’s fine…” I stated which she seems surprise by my reaction.

As then I cross my arms as I spoke. “Look, you’re grieving and mourning which I think people would understand that, which if you ask me regarding how your mother felt… Personally I think it’s more of miscommunication both parts, you 2 didn’t know how to speak if you ask me.” I told her which she seems surprise which then she looks to the ground then wiped her eyes.

She must be tearing up as then she sighed then gave a nod…

“Yes, I… suppose your right, I just don’t know what to think or feeling regarding her but even then, I actually when I grew my first set of flowers…” She stated which she laughed a bit as I smiled a bit as she continues. “I think my first set of flowers turn out to be pretty bad, I couldn’t even recall what the flowers were but when I show mother, I couldn’t tell if she felt like I did try or maybe felt sorry for me but I was really please with my work. I think that was a nice memory to have.” She told me with a sad smile.

As then I thought over for a moment as then continue. “Well maybe she didn’t want to hurt your feelings since you were so proud of them.” I brought up which she shrugged. “Yeah, I guess not but yet again she did snap at the Saionji’s only daughter for stomping on the flowers and then she started to cry… I assume she did that because she got in trouble.” She frown, annoyed.

I gave a nod, I guess some kids don’t like flowers which then Tomoe-san was thinking. “I mean – my mom work very hard on them and she was being disrespectful, I even recall her saying the flowers were pretty… despite her stepping on them, then she made a cruel comment that if I were a flower; she would just burn it which… isn’t very nice.” She spoke which I was a bit nervous.

“So… What did you do with that girl?” I asked which she smile as tilting her head to the side. “Well, let’s saying leaving a dead rat on her bed was some nice karma, which yes I did get yelled at but she did start it.” She spoke as if she did nothing wrong.

Something tells me her and this girl did not get along very well it seem…

However as then Tomoe-san gave a sigh as then she spoke. “Fuji-chan, I’m not sure what to say to you for spending so much time with me so I think I’ll say this… thank you for making me realize somethings about my mother and making me realize that we both suffer in a way.” She told me which I blinked.

“But I… didn’t do much honestly, I just figure I listen to you.” I told her which she was in a thinking. “I… suppose your right, but even then I do think it did help me figure things out and maybe, if we do find Haku – I can move forward with the others…” She told me with a smile.

I could surely see that Tomoe-san has come to terms with her mother’s passing and then she spoke with certainty.

“While I still don’t know what my mother thought in her final moments or if I’ll ever forgive Ohta but I know for sure – I’ll try and be there for everyone else, especially Eito-kun and Sunako-chan!”

It seems that girl was ready to move forward and while her mother is gone, she does seem to be ready for that and even then…

I did feel a strong bond between Tomoe-san and myself, which I couldn’t help but smile at her resolve.

She began to look around at where she is then she saw me looking at her. “Hello…” I greeted which she frowns. “So… we solve your case and, the fact you came up with a murder plan is what I was not expecting but… I guess one of us would need to take up a leadership position, right?” She asked which I gave a nod.

“Then, I’ll try and do that… for everyone of those that have died, so thank you for having us work together; Fuji-chan…” She thanked me.

I guess we should start talking some more…

Mori Miwa’s Free Time Events!

We thus began to converse with each other and speak about matters that were important and even things that I couldn’t help but be captivated by her, maybe that’s the perk of a figure skater…

Looks like me and Miwa-san grew closer…

As then I took out a cup of hot cocoa which Miwa-san seem happy. “Oh, for me? Well thank you, I do need this.” She thanked me however as then I smiled. “So are we going to skate again?” I asked which she eyed me which she shook her head.

“I’m sorry but… I’m not in a very good mood, I think it’s mostly after what happen with Hanlon-san, I… started to rethink what I thought of him originally…” She spoke which I look to the ground.

I did recall that Norman-san felt regret for what he did so… maybe Miwa-san does realize that too. “I mean, he seems to have regret his action – honestly if it were my first coach then he would of ran away like a damn coward…” She stated with anger in her voice.

Something tells me this coach of hers must be a very bad person which I stare at her. “So… what did your former coach do to you?” I asked which she scowled and spoke clearly. “Here’s the thing… you must not speak of this matter to anyone else… He sexually assaulted me and rape me.” She say to me which my face went pale.

Miwa-san… was rape, it was pretty hard to imagine it at all and I never heard of this news about her – at most I only recall her having to take a break from skating for a year and even avoided public attention for sometime.

As then Miwa-san turn away as avoiding eye contact. “It was about three years ago when it happens too, pretty much be nearly a year since I had train with the him; he was someone that I could trust and give me pointers of how to improve on my technique and footing however he tends to get too close and personal…” She paused which I look nervous since I could see why.

As then she began to hug herself. “I… even recall when it was during one of his drunk fits which suddenly, he punches me in the face and knock me up, likely confusing me for his wife who had the same hair colour as me while I was knock out, which after hours of waking up I realize… the asshole had his way with me.” She stated as shivering, clearly this man was someone I would not like either.

“He… sounds like a very bad person.” I told her which she glares. “No shit he was bad, and worse I realize that I started to feel sick and discover it when I told him, he ran away… like the coward he is.” She spoke which I blinked. “Wait, he ran away but… why? What happen?” I asked which she look to the ground.

It seems that there was a reason he ran away. “Well, you know why some men leave and counting my period was running later then normal… it should be obvious what happen, in fact I had to take a break off of skating for a good while after it happen too.” She told me as clearly the subject matter was a bit iffy.

I suddenly went silent as fear soon crept on me when I realize why her former coach ran away which Miwa-san notice the expression on my face. “Seems you figure it out, I had considered abortion at the time but it would cause attention, so I went on a so called ‘vacation’ for a year when I decided to birth the child…” She went quiet which I went silent as well.

I’m… not sure what to say to do, how would you respond to that or even say since honestly, Miwa-san seems to hold a certain standard for men which… I can’t blame her at all.

It was then we decided to continue talking since time did not matter in dreams, correct?

We thus began to converse with each other and speak about matters that were important and even things that I couldn’t help but be captivated by her, maybe that’s the perk of a figure skater…

Looks like me and Miwa-san grew closer…

I took out some postcards and stamps that seem to have some strange ability based on the sender as I hand it to her. “Hm, I think the gift is lovely so thank you very much.” She thanked me as she put it away.

She seems pretty serious expression, it… seems awkward to ask about skating after hearing what happen with Miwa-san which she didn’t seem in the mood to skate either.

“So, … Did you tell anyone else about this? I think if Norman-san knew about this then I think he would of stop to realize his action.” I asked which then she shook her head but bit her lip. “I never did, I told anyone what happen since my career as a figure skater would be ruin, and sadly people would start to blame me, I’ve only told a select few.” She told me which got me worried.

It… must be a personal issue and just the fact that she had to deal with that which then she looks to me with a small frown as furrowing her eyebrows. “So, what happen with the child?” “They are likely with some good people.” She answers quickly as I was surprise. “You see, the only people I’ve told were a select few; my grandmother, my current coach, some doctors which they were pay to keep quiet, the adoption agency and the parents of the child I am going to get birth to.” She explained.

I really wasn’t sure what to say to her and then she looks to the side. “I even told the parents to not tell the child where they came from, they simply pay me and the affair was kept private and… it’s been 3 years, likely the child in question is a toddler by now.” She spoke as thinking it over which I realize something.

“Hold on, do you even know what they look like?” I asked which she shook her head. “No, I don’t and honestly I think it’s for the best I didn’t. Even then I’m sure however they are doing, probably they had a way better life then I could ever offer.” She told me which I went quiet which then I asked about.

As I notice that despite that horrid story, she didn’t seem to have an issue with men. “Well, I’m sure that child is likely being taken care of.” “It’s all I hope for, but anyway after I got back to skating I… started to be cautious of men or behaviors I’ve notice, I didn’t want the same thing to happen if I got a coach which… I did, my current one was saying to be a team manager that train a baseball team to nationals.” She spoke with a small smile.

It seems that Miwa-san seem happy about him. “I guess you must have trusted him, right?” I asked which she gave a firm nod. “At first, I was honestly wary of him – I didn’t trust him that well and I fear the same thing would happen again but, when I told him when he ask, he… understood my situation and even promise he won’t reveal this information but what he says to me… help me quite a bit.” She spoke which I blinked.

“What did he say to you?” I asked which then she smiled a bit. “Trust has to be earn, trust between an athlete and a coach which would need to respect each other – As say if you aren’t comfortable around me then I understand, but keep in mind… there are others that would understand if you tell them like you told me.” She spoke which she went silent which she close her eyes.

It seems that she forgot those words and then had her hands on her chest. “Which, how funny I forgot his words but maybe he’s right… if I told Norman-san what happen or anyone else, but I’m not sure how he would react if he was alive knowing this information.” She spoke which she look to the ground.

It seems that Miwa-san clearly had trust issues and honestly, I don’t blame her but she does seem to hold a certain standard for people which… is understandable.

I then took out some block that is good for sharpening blades or any metal which she seems happy. “Oh, this could help me with skating so thank you!” She thanked me as then she took the item as then she smiled.

“Fuji-chan, I think after talking with you�� maybe trusting everyone wouldn’t be so bad. I was worried I would start to distrust people or think all of them were bad but I can see now I was wrong.” She thanked me which I smiled a bit. “Well, maybe you just needed to be reminded what your current coach told you…” I told her which she laughed a bit.

I guess she was feeling better and gave a nod. “Yes, I suppose your right – I mean there are still people out there that remind me of my first coach but… I know now that there are people out there that mean no harm and would understand my situation if I told them so… maybe trusting you all would help me.” She spoke as then she declared something that I couldn’t help but feel proud of her to say.

“Trust in those that trust you, trust in those that won’t harm you, trust in those that are your friends – then that trust will keep you going… I think I should trust everyone and we can work together and be stronger.”

She spoke as it seems the girl had started to trust me and see me as a friend as then she smiles. “Well, I feel better telling you so… maybe we should try skating again?” She asked which I smiled quite a bit. “Sure thing, let’s go and I think with your help I’ll surely get better~.” I told her which she gave a nod in agreement.

I could tell that Miwa-san does trust me and I’m glad that she does, I feel a pretty strong bond between myself and the figure skater so I’m glad to hear she’ll trust the others even after what happen.

Congrats you have finish up all Free time events with Mori Miwa; give yourself a pat on the back!

As then me and Miwa-san got up and decided to try and do a bit more skating, I actually started to get better and even do some tricks, thanks to her help… I had a lot of fun honestly.

Even if I tripped up and mess somewhere, she gave me pointers to improve and even told me that looking down at your feet would make you trip even more so I didn’t do that and it work! I was happy to finally learn how to skate, thanks to her.

As then I return back to my seat after she disappear which then look at the buttons left, I had 4 left to speak with and learn about… who to go for next.
