Disclaimer: If you asked me the same question next week I would probably have a different answer. I’ve written a lot, and I love a lot of them.

Anyway anyway, trying to go back to some of the early stuff:

My Adventure – First! Fanfic! Ever! Belladonna Took, one of the three remarkable daughters of the Great Took, deserved to have an adventure of her very own. I remember getting buried very deep in the lore to write this, and I absolutely loved the chapter where ancient tales of the Silmarillion get filtered through the POV of a very young hobbit. And the poetry I wrote for it still delights me. 

The Girl Who Was A Cherry Tree – so for a while I was really into xxxHolic and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and then I was really into CLAMP in general, and this was some of the fruit of that obsession. CLAMP always seem at their best when there’s a corpse under the cherry tree and I leaned into that when I gave Clone!Sakura her happy ending.

Never A Love Story – also had a hyperfixation on The Musketeers for a while, a real good time. I tried filling two prompts on the kink meme at the same time and ended up with a fairly complex exploration of gender roles with girl!d’Artagnan-who-wants-to-be-a-soldier and deep-in-salon-culture-Aramis mentoring her. And… lots of questions of identity and doing right by ourselves and each other. And I had a lot of fun with it in general. They had a very non-standard love story, but they did very much love, and I’m at peace with that.

And Blue-Bleak Embers – Nirvana in Fire AU where Prince Yu funks out of waging the rebellion and spends the next few months as an idle prince always knocking on Mei Changsu’s door, even as Mei Changsu is quietly dying. And it’s a peaceful fic, and objectively a happier ending – no-one died in the rebellion and Da Liang wasn’t so weak by the end that it seemed ripe for invasion, that’s a happy ending, right? – but in this version Jingyan doesn’t get that boost to his career from being a war hero and he just. He just takes too long to get the court case started and MCS never sees his justice. It’s gentle and bittersweet and a bit raw – the companionship of two people who have both mauled the other and don’t see any point in putting up masks anymore.

Slice of Life – Pretty much my ship manifesto for Wu Xie/Hei Xiazi, I think. Vignettes from their training relationship! I loved how all the scenes mirrored each other in the end, and Hei Xiazi’s clinical eye on his student, even as he breaks bones and navigates weird night-time conversations and enacts the greatest kindness he can: teaching Wu Xie that people he trusts can hurt him. Another fic that’s very bittersweet and raw, I think.

I haven't been reading much lately, but i'll try to remember some stories and what i like about em ! Imma warn you : my memory isn't so good and there are stories i haven't reread. Daughter of Dione : Is Thirty Seconds All I Have ? by xLampLightx This fic is what made me change my perception of Donna and how I depict her in my drawings. I absolutely love how she is characterized. I also really like the world building (?), especially regarding how Bela and Donna's bodies function because of the cadou. Some scenes in this are stuck in my head. Flowers and Flies by wordsgo_here If I'm not wrong, it was one of the first BelaDonna fics out there. I think what I especially liked in this was the Dimitrescu sisters dynamic ! Especially Cass and Bela's. The fact that Bela can get touchy-feely makes pretty enjoyable bldn moments... Anything from kokorokirei, really They write some damn good steamy fics. Thank you very much. I may suggest "Hello, Beneviento Residence ?" as a start. I still have to read their latest work too ! I know the end by dangerousaudino This gotta be the first BelaDonna fic I've read, Gosh ! It's been a long time so i don't remember much apart from the fact i was hooked. It's written with a second person pov from Donna's perspective ; so it might be a bit confusing at first, but it's easy to get used to it. There were some very good moments i believe, and i did crack a smile from time to time lol I don't know if the author will continue working on it, but i hope they will !!

ladies over flowers by Salty_Bok_Choy A little one shot based off one of my very first bldn art. I was so touched to see someone get inspired by it, really, and i loved even more the little details the author added. It's sweet and heart warming ! Hunted by gay_g0blin You know, I loved the initial situation. Bela mistaking Donna for a maiden, and trying to hunt her down. Bela's characterization is my favorite in this. Once again, the sisters dynamic is neatttt It's been a while since there was an update, but i still hope for a sequel. Atropa Belladonna by Bee-nut AU in whichBela is a junkie lost in the village and encounters shady Donna. Bela is pretty different from the usual depiction she gets, and I like that ! The Great Morel Garden by Fitzeroy_McCandless In which Bela gets hurt and finds shelter at the Beneviento mansion. Sometimes, slowburn is all I need. That was a really nice read ! I probably forgot to share some stories in this, my bad. Anyways, bless u fanfic writers.

Ok, honestly I don’t know if you guys really wanna know even but eh, here it is!

Achilles Heart

So as you all know, I’m a sucker for my muses. For a very long time, this fic was only about JK. I’ve fairly admitted that Jk in this fic was dedicated to @yoonia. By the time I formulated the character for the reader’s MC, she was already going to be a product of her situations and not a person. Taehyung was added at the very end and I think he was the easiest one to come up with even if he took the longest to show up in the plan.

Originally, JK was the one in whose POV we were going to see the story unfold. Like I said, the story was just JK with reader responding to him and his decisions. we’d see her reactions through a filter of his guilt and emotions but i scrapped that because what kind of message does that send? I know it’s a story but still. So i created the piece with MC and yes, she’s still just a reaction but I want her to be active for her ownself. Which is the point of the work. You CAN ALWAYS LEAVE WHAT HURTS YOU EVN IF YOU LOVE IT. You can find love, purer love elsewhere - even if it’s from you.

I enjoy writing the friendships between the characters most. I ADORE Yoongi (heh, surprise?!) and MC’s friendship and he’s going to be so important if not he already is. It’s not still here but interactions between JK and Joon and Jimin an Tae are coming too wink wonk!

As a spoiler! There will be interaction between Tae and JK too...! 

Bed Bereft

Another swerve in the highways fic under my belt! This fic is extremely special to me because I think I carved Taehyung and Jin from a part of my soul, excuse the sap. I loved these characters even before they decided to come to life.

Alright, so firstly, the fic was supposed to be dirty, dirty smut. There was no essence whatsoever in this one. But like I said, at that point both TaeJin were just folks I was going to write ABOUT. Once they became actual muses (I swear they actually come to life, it’s a problem.) They told me to stuff it and get out of the way. Then they took over and you have the final piece.

Also, I know a lot of people have something against Joy’s character (yep, my friend personally told me she would hit Joy over the head) but like she’s one of the most important characters in the fic. If Irene is common sense, Joy is a kick in the ass. For both MC and Tae. Without her, MC would never grow a spine and without her, Tae would never make a move.

I almost miss Namjoon, even if he would only add to the Drama. Just a mention, but I’m such a sucker for those dimples.

Belladonna

For a very long time, (maybe i still am) i was on the tenterhooks whether I was actually going to be writing this fic. It is very personal and as a couple friends know, this is a fic documenting a very dark time in my life. Finally it was thrown at me that this could be treated as a self healing exercise rather than just a story.

Picking Yoongi for “him” was the easiest decision. Not because I picture him like that because again as I have said before, he is the easiest one I find to mold to the muse I want. He actually listens lol. Also, because I find with Yoongi, the angst comes off so much more painful and I really want to put a lot of pain in this one - just so I could ply it with some catharsis.

As reality based, this fic is, some aspects will of course be still be fictional. This is more to make it a make believe way to heal rather than anything else - although I think there’s also the part of trying to keep a modicum of my private life private.

Extended tag/trigger warning description for Love Is Being Scared and Loving Anyway Chapter 1, all versions

The first chapter of my big fic Love Is Being Scared and Loving Anyway (Or Loving Anyway) is finally up on AO3. It includes three versions of the same story, one an omniscient point of view, and one from both Clover and Qrow’s own povs. 

Here is an explanation of how this fic is formatted and what the versions are.

This is a pretty emotionally heavy fic, and one of the reasons I did the multiple versions was so that there could be options for anyone worried about triggers. Each version on AO3 has a short description of the trigger warnings relevant to that version, but I wanted to go into a bit more detail for anyone who wanted it, and didn’t want to put a wall of text in the chapter notes each time. So this is all the trigger notes for each version, as well as a more complete list of general tags for the chapter.

Individual versions (I’m only going to expand on the ones that are a bit loose or less straight forward, so things like Racing thoughts, is pretty self contained so explaining would just be spoilers.)

Clover- 

Blood mention - Pretty minimal in this version.

Claustrophobia - Not necessarily technically claustrophobia, but some descriptions that I thought could be triggering.

Difficulty breathing - Due to anxiety, or perceived trouble breathing.

Dissociation - Two reasons, could apply to Qrow for the same reason as above. And for Clover, for using intentional dissociation as a coping mechanism.

Hallucinations/Altered perception of reality/Flashbacks/ PTSD  - All of these really are for the same thing but I wanted to be overly cautious. None of them fit the instance perfectly, but it is generally Qrow misinterpreting things in his panicked state. Seeing, hearing things not as in actual hallucinations but brain still putting everything in the context of his panic/not being fully aware.

Hypercritical - Overly high expectations of self, perfectionism.

Nausea - More just a description of  feeling off.

Paranoia - Really more anxiety related over worrying, apprehension, but again, thought could fall under this umbrella.

Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)/Hyper-awareness - Just general over sensitivity, awareness, inability to process during panicked state.

Trichotillomania - Again, not technically, but actions that could be reminiscent.

Unconscious self-harm - Felt like this was the best way to put this, but knew some people might not know exactly what I meant. This is regarding Qrow. He isn’t unconscious but rather, during a panic attack he unknowingly hurts himself, and it’s not at all serious.

(I say it this way because this is how I have described similar instances I have had - basically this is “Qrow hurt itself in its confusion” the tag)

A/N: yo hi this is my first fic so im so so so sorry if anything is messed up

This was so unfair. I sneak out once, and this is what i get, imprisonment. First he takes my phone and laptop, then my freedom! I'm a prisoner in my own home. “I'm doing this for your own good belladonna!” dad looked pissed, i cant see fault in what i did. “ my own good? Bullshit! Its like you don't love me!” i stormed off, because what's the point of arguing? He wouldn't budge or even change his mind. Prides pov “Its like you don't love me!” that hurt, that one stamet she probably didn't mean, hurt more than a bullet. I heard her door slam shut, and shortly after the sound of some cd being played loudly. I sighed and sat down on the couch and put my head in my hands. Teenagers. The reason I don’t want her sneaking around is because I don’t want something bad to happen. I’d couldn’t look at myself if something happened to her. I love her. *********** It was almost two in the afternoon and belladonna Hadn’t left her room yet. I knocked on her door twice before trying to open it.locked. “Bels! Let me in, I just wanna talk.” My request was met with a “fuck off!” And what sounded like a pillow hitting the door. “Can’t stay in there forever.” I said under my breath,walking back to the living room.

Belladonnas pov I can’t mope forever, can I? It’s not like it’s the end of the world or anything, and what I said was really harsh, even for me. I looked up at my clock it was four pm. I sighed and got off my bed, stepping over any and all empty water bottles that laid on the floor. I went over to my stereo and turned it off, the blaring fall out boy coming to a stop. “ Eau de résistan-” with my stereo off, i realized that the house was dead silent. I crept out of my room and downstairs, skipping all the ones that creaked. “Hey kid.”crap, he's home. “Hey dad,” i turned to the living room to see him on the couch, reading something. “Don't you he like, work or something?” i said, hugging myself, the room suddenly cold. “ we got a day off, for once,” he put his book down. “ sit.” he patted the pace next to me. I slowly walked over to him,sitting down gently. We sat in an awkward silence, for what felt like eternity. “I'm sososososo so sorry about what i said. I mean it. “i blurted out,not looking at him. “ i know you didn't darling, i know.” he pulled me close and pet my hair. “ i still feel bad for saying it though.” “I'd be concerned if you didn't” i giggled and looked up at him. “ we on good terms now? He sighed “ yes ma'am, you can have your phone back.” “ hey dad? I think going crazy is the least concerning problem for me.

I mean. It just keeps getting better. So obviously rather than seek treatment because you can't cope with your best friend leaving, you cut yourself off from everyone who allegedly loves you because honestly, how could they love someone who keeps HURTING them even though it's an accident? But obviously, the correct response here is to block their numbers and ignore everyone because you can't force yourself back together and you've moved this week's appointment to next week because you forgot that your car was getting fixed Tuesday.

Am I having a mental breakdown? Am I going crazy? Or am I just finally this worn down from trying to keep myself together so people don't have to worry about me to still be terrified of worrying them but this time instead of talking about it, you're going to force them all away from you so they don't get hurt even if it means losing them because people like you don't deserve friends like them?

Im gonna ramble abt Hadestown for a minute: A super interesting thing I've discovered while listening to Hadestown by Anaïs Mitchell is how it's a commentary on capitalism and poverty. The seasons are thrown from alignment because Hades misses his wife. Instead of staying half of each year, she now only stays for 3-4 months at the most. She knows she's late and leaves early, but not of her own volition. Hades comes to collect her because he misses her. He tries to keep her in the underworld because he can't bare the idea of her leaving. What if she leaves him? He knows that above Hadestown is a world stricken by poverty of his own, selfish actions. What he doesn't seem to realize is that Hadestown is also stricken by poverty. His world isn't much better. Sure, they're earning some wages and it's better than complete squalor, but they're still impoverished. They're still barely scraping by and the worst part is that Hades owns them. They build a wall to keep out poverty but Poverty has already snuck it's way into Hadestown and strikes at the souls. He doesn't recognize the squalor his "children" live in because he sees it as them, leading a better life. They cannot remember who they are, who they loved, who they were nor why they're even building a wall to keep out an infestation that had already snuck it's way into Hadestown. They're all just not aware of it. Or those who are, are silenced. Hades wants to live in a world of ignorance and that his world is okay and full of possibility. Hades refuses to recognize what he's done. He refuses to metaphorically lift his head and survey the damage and destruction he's done. He just wants his wife and his kingdom. So who's some boy to him with his belladonna kiss when all he did was provide Eurydice hand-to-mouth because he was busy writing a song for the gods who destroyed the mortal realm.

Dear Evan Hansen was always a shitty musical. Some musicals translate incredibly well into film. The best example is "into the woods" whereas some musicals should stay... Er... Well... Musicals. Like DEH. Maybe if they made a "sequel" musical called Dear Zoe Murphy that showed everything from Zoe's POV then maybe that could redeem DEH. Not too many high hopes there though.

Evan Hansen is the villain in his own story. I sympathize with the anxiety he has, I do, but that's not a reason to fucking manipulate a grieving family, your own mother, your best friend and someone who'd genuinely wanted to make a difference. Like nah. Fuck that noise. Y'all wanna claim "Evan is such a soft baby though uwuwuwuwuwu 🥺🥺" please bear in mind that this kid lied compulsively and MANIPULATED A GRIEVING FAMILY.

Sorry your mom loves you enough to work multiple shifts at a hospital so you can go to therapy and get your meds but the therapy isn't fucking working you absolutely menace.

By no standards are the Murphy's in the clear either. Connor had severe mental health diagnoses that weren't necessarily being treated at home. Cynthia is on some very, very thin ice because she was trying. But she didn't necessarily stop the beratement of her son from Larry or Zoe. Larry can go get fucked 8 ways from Sunday. He's a shit father. Zoe I can understand. Connor would torment her and make her life a living hell. Her anger is justified but at the same time, she didn't have to berate and tear down Connors little progress. Truthfully, Connor most likely had issues that could really only be corrected in a psychiatric ward.

I'm crying I took my dad to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage and we're watching it, and then my dad finally asks the thing I was hoping he wouldn't.

There's important information here: My dad is a straight man who listens to country music, voted for Trump (because he likes his economic plan, his racism is being addressed), white fucking country boy.

He fucking asks: "Uh... Kiddo... Are they in a relationship?" I'm trying to figure out how to explain that "Yes, Dad. Them bitches gay, they have a kid in comics, Eddie Brock is a fucking disaster bi who has a hard on for an amorphous blob and technically the species reproduce like amoeba. Asexually."

And instead answer, "yep. Gayer that a $2 bill. Tho the blob doesn't have a gender and takes on the gender of the host but keeps things it likes."

"Oh. Okay. Weird movie. But the first one was also weird." It's... Severely watered down.

MUTUALLY ASSURED ATTRACTION - MASTERPOST

Velvet doesn't expect much to happen in her second year at the University of Beacon; she's redoing her first year, so maybe she'll have some serious deja-vu, but all she's trying to do is keep her head down and maybe get some decent grades. Problem is, she's on a collision course with Blake Belladonna, the mysterious only child of the Belladonna family and heir to Menagerie's Chiefdom, and Weiss Schnee, the equally strange and disinherited poster child of the Schnee Technology Corporation. February 2018 Fic Roundup

For the month of February I am attempting to do the thing where I am punctual in posting my end of month roundup post. This got really long and I’m not sorry, but it’s all going under a cut anyways. It was a big month for me. 

If you want to know what’s coming in March, here’s my calendar. It’s up to date. I promise. 

Oneshots

So it was the month of February and that meant that the big driving force behind everything was Femslash. I wanted to really work with pairings that I hadn’t touched before, and there were a couple of events that I was more than happy to participate in. 

Freelancers Don’t Cry  - [Ao3]

Freelancers don’t cry- especially in the locker room where anyone can see them. South knows this, but Connie is new and could probably use a guide. South is happy to provide.

This is the fic that made me realize just how much I actually love Agent South Dakota and Agent Connecticut. it was just a lot of fun to write and I liked being able to weave in little bits of foreshadowing for how things would go in the future for our Freelancers. Also, South’s internal dialogue was fun as all hell to write. 

Hotter Than The Sun - [Ao3]

There are lot of things about Blood Gulch that are kind of awful. It's always hot and gross, and 90% of the people there suck.

The other 10%? In Kai's opinion- that's Tex, and she's always hot.

Have I ever mentioned that I absolutely love writing Kaikaina Grif? Or that she’s 100% the most fun character to write for? No? Well she is and I love writing her point of view because of just how much there is to play with in how she thinks and talks alone. This fic? I like this fic. I hope you guys like this fic too.

Bloom and Grow- [Ao3] [FFN]

With the ashes of war settled, Blake is finally able to come home. The only problem is that she has no idea what to do with her future now that she’s done fighting. Ilia can help.

Catmeleon week was this month! RWBY5 did quite a bit with Ilia and Blake both, and the plot involving Menagerie was actually pretty interesting. I was left wondering what things might look like for its future once everything in Remnant calmed down. There was conveniently a prompt for that.

Ever since the incident at Vale's docks, Weiss knows that she's been tiptoeing around Blake's presence. It's time to fix that, and some honesty is a good place to start.

You know what was also in the month of February? Monochrome Week! One of the periods in the timeline of RWBY that I never really knew how to deal with was that awkward time just following the ending of Season 1. It was a nice chance to dabble in that time period and play with some of the things that we see come later in Blake and Weiss’ canon relationship. All in all, it was a lot of fun to work on. 

Elegance- [Ao3]

Agent South Dakota is really the person least suited to go on a mission at some uptight party. Really, this isn't something that she belongs in at all. Carolina's better suited for the job. They just have to get in, get out, and try not to leave too much of an impression.

This should be easy.

This was probably my overall favorite fic that I wrote for femslash february. The story was one that was just stuck in my head for several days before I added it to my official roster and got started on it. I can genuinely say that there wasn’t a single moment where I didn’t enjoy writing the story or the way that things were coming out in the final product. I’m just really happy with it. 

Multichapter Fics

As far as February of 2018 has gone, the things that I’m working on in the multi-chapter category have been a little bit more than a surprise. The month ended up feeling like it was productive on an almost unprecedented level, even though my output was probably about the same. For all three of my multichapter fics, I saw them either closing their third acts, or major changes happening in their plots, or changes in structure or something which to me has been very real. 

So here’s looking forward to March.

Blake Belladonna has one job in her life, and its to provide accurate information in a timely manner. A relatively mundane story is all that it takes to throw her into direct contact with Weiss Schnee, whose family secrets could make or break Blake’s career as a journalist.

A quick trip to the airport and a sleepover help clear up a lot of the more fine points of Weiss' current arrangement.

A new player enters the game.

So the first thing that you might notice looking at this is that there is finally a stated ending point for this fic. The month of February kind of breezed by with this fic and I was mostly tying up loose ends where I was in the story. I finished writing the epilogue chapter last night! The update schedule will be staying the same. 

Published this month was only the halfway point for the story. There is still much, much more to come and my hope is that you all like where this goes and where it will eventually end up. 

Currently Writing: Nothing. This fic is in the editing and updating only stage of its existence.

Next Chapter: Chapter 15 - March 9th. Chapter 16 - March 23.

Once upon a time, monsters roamed the entire world, so plentiful that they needed countless numbers to fight them off. 13 years ago, that changed. Grimm died off suddenly and stopped proliferating. Now the few Creatures of Grimm that are left are too large and powerful to be taken down in “the old ways.”

I’ve talked about this fic to some extent and what’s happening with it, and there’s actually quite a lot that I need to go over in a formal setting. For simplicity’s sake, I’ve decided to present this information to you in the form of a numbered list. 

I am expecting to be finishing writing Bones Book 1 by the end of March, with it clocking in at around 50 chapters in total. The update schedule is going to remain the same until Evening Report finishes publishing. After that, the story will return to weekly status. 

The fic currently posted is going to be renamed at a later date to “The Bones of a God - Book One: Ichor” and will be made the first part of a series because this is going to be the best way to split the story up and will allow me to make some changes.

After Book One is finished, I am going to start writing a story that takes place 20 years before the events of the story’s start. This is going to focus on a cast of five characters when they were younger. Those characters will be the adult POV characters present in Book Two. Five chapters in total, will be posted after Book One is finished posting. 

I have started the planning of Book Two to some degree. Once I’m ready to start work on it, I’m going to do just that. 

Currently Writing: Chapter 47 out of what I’m expecting to be a 50 chapter fic.

Next Chapters: Chapter 35 - March 2nd. Chapter 36 - March 16. Chapter 37 - March 30

The Mother of Invention went down barely a year ago, and the time in between has been rough for York and Delta. It’s been tough for Tex too, but she has information, and she needs someone to help her get some things before someone can beat her to it.

It’s a good thing York’s out of work.

This fic has been consistently a lot of fun to work on for me, and the first one with a soundtrack type playlist that I can actually listen to on repeat without getting bored with it. I’ve had to change a lot of things though on my end, so I’m currently writing the first interlude chapter for this fic. I’m considering amping up my update schedule to twice a month, but haven’t made a real decision yet. 

The main thing to know is that the scope of what this was supposed to be has gotten blown out of the water and also that I love Agent South Dakota. 

Currently Writing: Interlude One - South Dakota. To be posted after chapter 5 in the story. Main story has reached the end of Chapter 9. Will write Chapter 10 and Interlude Two after Interlude One is complete.

This took way too long cause my niece has been a wiggleworm all morning and I’m up and down chasing her ever 5 mins lol.

1. Favorite place to write.There is a park about an hour away from me that I go to, if able, when I’ve got writer’s block. I’ll walk about a mile into the forest and sit by a creek that runs into the river. It’s a trip but is worth the effort when I just really need an isolated place to think.

2. Favorite part of writing.Character creation. Even in fanfiction, I always change up the background/personalities a little to add my own touch and present them in a new light. I also love learning and researching so I’ll just look up random things and see if I can’t design something or someone around an idea or belief.

3. Least favorite part of writing.Editing… moving on. I guess I should say editing my own work. Sometimes because I wasn’t the happiest with how a chapter turned out and sometimes because I really don’t feel like re-reading what I just wrote 3 times over only to read it again later and still find typos and parts that just don’t flow quite right.

4. Do you have writing habits or rituals?I have to be listening to something. Music, tv, the ambiance of a coffeeshop, etc. Unless I’m at my favorite place I can’t write in silence, but even there it isn’t quiet.

5. Books or authors that influenced your style the most.Toni Morrison morrison is the first name that pops into my head just because I re-read at least one of her books each month.

6. Favorite character you ever created.Childlike Evergreen for an idea that I’ve been playing with. She’s so cute and nothing like her character as an adult lol

7. Favorite author.Kristen Cashore, author of the Graceling series.

8. Favorite trope to write.

10. Pick a writer to co-write a book with and tell us what you’d write about. 11. Describe your writing process from scratch to finish.1. Take pen and paper. Write everything that come to mind then end up trashing more than half of it.2. Write nothing but dialogue to go with everything written in step one.3. Combine both into a word document.4. Edit and make look pretty for others to enjoy.

That’s actually how I do it. I will plot out and idea with rough imcomplete details. If something need dialogue to get it moving a have a seperate journal that I write nothing but raw dialogue in. I color code everything so that it’s easy to reference back to and see what goes with what. Then I literally just splice the two parts together including every possible word before editing and cutting most of it out.

12. How do you deal with self-doubts? I’ll go through some of my older pieces that I’ve never published/shared and compare it to my current work. Idk, seeing how far i’ve improved always give me a boost in confidence.

13. How do you deal with writers block?First, I walk away from a project because trying to force something out can ruin a piece and just spend a little time each day writing something, anything, just so that I’m always keeping up with my practice. I’ll also read a bit more and get out of the house more often cause my writer’s block stems from cabin fever most of the time.

14. What’s the most research you ever put into a book?With my current piece that I’m writing. I took the idea of herbal medicine and looked up different plants what were used as medicines/ healing aids. Example: Belladonna, deadly nightshade, tincture was used to help aleviate thing like motionsickness, nausea, and even menstrual cramps. I thought it was interesting and since I was writng about dragon slayers and their perpetual uneasiness with transportaion, added into the story. In general though I always do a fair amount of research because I’ve not experienced all there is in the world and want to be able to make a connection with readers by presenting believable and accurate ideas.

15. Where does your inspiration come from?I’ve always felt more comfortable expressing myself through the written word and grew to love books and storytelling when I was little.

16. Where do you take your motivation from?Same as question 15?

17. On avarage, how much writing do you get done in a day?If I’m doing computer work, anywhere from 1500 to 2000 words. I could easily do more if I let myself, and I sometimes do, but I always walk away from it at some point during the day so as to not overexhert my hands since they already hurt my after a while of handwriting or typing.

18. What’s your revision or rewriting process like?For revisions, I can just cut and add in the document. If i doing a rewrite I will create a new document and write it side by side. I feel like i make more changes that way which is the point of rewrites.

19. First line of a WIP you’re working on.He wiped the sweat from his brow as he came upon her silhouetted form on the forest floor.

20. Post a snippet of a WIP you’re working on.“What is you plan to accomplish with this stupid ritual?”

“Oh, I don’ even know it’ll work. I just read about it thought maybe I’d give it a go if the opportunity presented itself. Your cerlestial mage appearing was just that.”

21. Post the last sentence you wrote in one of your WIP’s.Lucy had been so caught up in herself that she failed to asking how Bickslow was holding up. 22. How many drafts do you need until you’re satisfied and a project is ultimately done for you?Nothing is ultimately ever done for me. that’s propably why I’m still sitting on a collection of shortstories that I’d like to get published but haven’t yet.

23. Single or multi POV, and why?No preference. Both come fairly easy to me but I think that if done well, single POV provides the most entertainment.

24. Poetry or prose, and why?Prose. I’ve taken poetry classes and had to read said poetry in front of 100+ people in college. I still cringe when I tell that story…

25. Linear or non-linear, and why?

26. Standalone or series, and why?Standalone. I just can’t imagine writing multiple multichapter things centered around the same idea. Idk

27. Do you share rough drafts or do you wait until it’s all polished? 28. And who do you share them with?Rough drafts are for my eyes only. Occasionally a beta when I find the need but that’s rare.

29. Who do you write for?For the sole purpose of manipulating the emotions of readers. Basically, I like to write trash that’ll make people cry when it suits me. Nah, I write because my head is full of all sorts of ideas and I just have to get them on paper so to speak. Sharing my creative writing is something new for me but so far, I’m not regretting that choice.

30. Favorite line you’ve ever written.You showed me the world, then left.

31. Hardest character to write.Gray… never was a favorite of mine so I just can’t connect with him.

This girl and I met a week before classes began and she really like how my name was spelled. We hit it off from there. I’ve actually written a story based off of that first interaction between us. She’s a family woman and has such a passion for teaching english. She’s got an attitude and does what she wants, but she was the mom friend that i needed because I usually play mom for my other friends lol

40. Original Fiction or Fanfiction, and why?Both. All of my original works are based off of real stories from real people that I know. My fanfiction is where my creativity shines though especially when working with a universe like Fairy Tail.

41. How many stories do you work on at one time?However many that suits me. My exception to this rule is only 1 multichapter fic at a time due to how much time and research I invest into the piece. I’m also far more critical about editing chapter versus oneshots.

42. How do you figure out your characters looks, personality, etc.

43. Are you an avid reader?Yes. Reading is what makes the writer.

44. Best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten.One semester I took a research class and had to design and conduct my methods and gather data. There was one part where we had to develop how we were to gather the data we sought and my instructor told me that it was hard for him to critique my methods because I had already done so in the proposal. I figure leaving a guy who writes for a living unable to write anything is a good thing lol

45. Worst piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten.Taking a creative writng class with people who don’t love writing as much as I do. To elaborate, we would be required to write something of our own creation and you could tell who loved writing based on the feedback they gave. I can’t begin to say how many people took to giving me grammar advice because they couldn’t think of anything to say about the content…
