Does it feel like something is missing internally?
Like the fire that once consumed your very soul has been extinguished…replaced by frustration, dissatisfaction, and the exhausting monotony of working your fingers to the bone to fuel a materialistic lifestyle you no longer want or have never truly enjoyed?
Like you’re missing out on the most important things in life…the deep connections and friendship, the wild and exciting romantic relationships, and the lust for adventure and purpose that has fueled men for millenia.
Thoreau wrote,
“The mass of men live lives of quiet desperation.”
Look around you – this is as true today as it was then. Perhaps even more so.
We all enter into this world as a blank slate. An empty canvas to be filled with rich experiences, connections, and adventures.
Men have always longed to…
Travel the world with the love of his life. Experiencing exhilarating adventures, new cultures, and once in a lifetime experiences…But instead, he’s stuck at the office. Lying to himself every day that “Once this next project is finished, then I’ll make time for romance, adventure, and living fully.”
Discover a mission so powerful and beautiful that he is willing to give his very life to see it manifested…Yet he spends his days doing work he dislikes with people he can barely tolerate just to pay for an endless stream of “stuff” that empties both his wallet and his soul.
Jump out of bed each morning before his alarm goes off excited and on FIRE for the day ahead…But instead, he feels tired, burnt out, and depleted by the never-ending cycle of earning more money to keep up with the Jone’s and validate his worth in society.
Deepen his connection with himself, not only ‘finding’ himself, but actively sculpting himself into the confident and alive man he’s always aspired to be…But instead, he settles for society’s version of success, stifles his masculine spirit, and sacrifices his deepest hopes, dreams, and desires at the altar of the almighty dollar.
What’s interesting is he did everything he was told to do by the book in an effort to make his life remarkable, memorable, and adventurous, but here he sits, glued to a computer screen living a life of quiet desperation.
We live in a world where men are now more afraid than ever to be masculine, alive and act like strong grounded men.
And the problem is getting worse by the day.
Just consider that..
The suicide rate for men is 3.5x higher than that of women (iconic men who surpassed society’s version of “success”: like Robin Williams, Anthony Bourdain, Avicci and Heath Ledger fell victim to this horrible act)
The divorce rate in the U.S hovers above 51%
Men are 3x more likely to become alcohol and drug dependent – masking their problems and hiding rather than opening up and solving them.
You can be forgiven for assuming that, at this point, men would reach out for help in droves. But because of society’s mandate that “Real men” are self-reliant and capable of handling everything by themselves, men are less likely than ever before to reach out for help.
Instead, we numb ourselves to reality with pleasure inducing addictions. Porn, social media, video games, Netflix originals, and even “success”, have become the sources of our respite and salvation. But their shallow promises only exacerbate the issue. These vices do little to further our lives and nothing to solve the deeper problems men face.
So let’s clear something up right now…
Men’s coaching does not mean you are weak or incapable of achieving stellar results by yourself.
Coaching simply allows you to grow faster by leveraging the guidance of an expert with the perspective, experience and know-how to breakthrough your limiting beliefs and propel you forward into the life you want.
Someone to hold you accountable – to give it to you straight and help you make sense of your chaotic life. To finally free you of the BS story that’s been holding you back from experiencing the life and relationship you want.
Let’s be honest here:
Warren Buffet wouldn’t be the greatest investor of our time without Benjamin Graham…
Marcus Aurelius wouldn’t be one of the greatest philosophers in history, the Emperor of Rome, and one of the most successful generals in military history without Epictetus…
Michael Jordan wouldn’t be the greatest basketball player and (arguably) the greatest athlete of our time without Phil Jackson…
And to believe that you’re the exception to the rule is nothing more than hubris.
If you want to live an exceptional life…a life filled with joy, adventure, romance, deep connection, and a sense of true masculine power…you need help getting there.
Men must bravely enlist the help of other men who have walked the walk, “been there, done that”, and can share their wisdom and insight for living a remarkable life.
And today, I’m going to share the ten reasons why men’s coaching is the “secret edge” you’ve been searching for. The “missing link” that will help you reclaim your masculine power, end your “Nice Guy” behaviors, and become more attractive to and respected by the highest quality women and most successful men in your community.
Let’s dive in.
1. You Need Someone To Talk To Who Doesn’t Just Listen But Helps You Move Forward in Life
Therapy can be great. And for some men, necessary. But it’s not the solution it’s been made out to be.
Sure, they’ll listen to you. But they don’t stand for your greatness. They don’t push you to challenge yourself, eschew the status quo, and step into your role as the King and Creator of your own life. They know very little about reclaiming your masculine power and creating a life that makes you smile each night. Instead, they enable you to play small. Encourage it even for longer than necessary.
A men’s coach doesn’t.
When you enlist the help of other like-minded men who have been where you are today, they can spot your B.S. before you even open your mouth. They will hold you to a higher standard, demand that you play at a higher level, and challenge you in a way that others wouldn’t dare.
Granted there are well-meaning mental health professionals that exist, yet few and far between. And after working with 1000s of men their feedback on the results of therapy vs. coaching were all but ubiquitous and mostly time consuming.
With therapy, they spent years (some of them decades) digging through their past to identify all of the ways in which their parents, teachers, friends, and high school crushes screwed them up for life.
They myopically focused on the trauma (real or perceived) of the past in hopes that somehow…by realizing that their anger issues stem from their broken relationship with their father…they would magically heal themselves and fix the problems with how they were showing up in the present.
Therapy doesn’t empower you to move forward, it only helps you resolve that which is already in your rear view mirror. It won’t help you show up to your relationships in a more grounded way that women naturally respond to, build a lifestyle that excites you, or contend with the very real challenges you are facing in the present. It simply keeps you trapped by the challenges you’ve already overcome.
With coaching, it’s a different story.

IN CHARACTER
Character | Bastien Avalos
What drew you to this character? | Wow, okay, where do I begin? Bastien is a very different character to the ones I usually play, and I think I was initially drawn to his recklessness. Bastien doesn’t just flirt with danger - he courts it, and I find this very fascinating as I’ve always tended to play very strategic, cautious, and calculated characters in the past, which Bastien just isn’t. I think there’s lots of potential to develop him as a character - both in the way of coming to terms with his past and exploring the events that have brought him to where he is, and in terms of his future - now that he’s had his autonomy ripped from him and burdened with a responsibility he never wanted, and one that he’s quite ill-equipped for, there’s definitely a lot of room to develop him in very interesting ways.
I’m also drawn to the idea of portraying a mortal walking among immortals - and yet, having very little regard for his own mortality. He’s spent his whole life running headfirst into danger - picking fights he knows he won’t win just for the sheer thrill of it - just to get a few battle scars and a great story at the end of it. It’s fascinating to me that, out of all the characters in this group, he’s perhaps the most vulnerable due to his status as mortal, and yet he acts as though he’s unbreakable, living life with a sort of heedlessness that is so uniquely human. He’s aware of his limited lifespan in comparison to those around him, but he’s determined to do as much as he possibly can with the time he has, to ensure that he leaves a great story behind when he goes.
What future plots do you have in mind for the character? |
001. SINS OF THE FATHER - Listen, the potential to explore Bastien’s relationships with his family was far too rich and complex for me to pass up putting it first. Let’s start with the obvious, shall we? Bastien killed his father - obviously, it was in defence of his mother, and I don’t necessarily think that he regrets what he did ( only that it put him into a position of power and left him responsibility he is neither equipped nor wanting to handle ), but it definitely has left an impact on him. Though not specifically mentioned in his bio - I think it’s very unlikely that Bastien has told anyone what really happened that night ( the family probably lied it away, that the former Lord Avalos was murdered by someone seeking some kind of retribution before fleeing in the night, never to be seen again ), and I think it would be very interesting to see how this guilt plays on him, and how he struggles with having to feign anger at the mystery of his father’s demise while knowing full well what really happened. Yes, Bastien may be a dumbass, but he’s not as stupid as everyone thinks, and he knows that the truth of what happened to his father coming out would be bad not only for him, but for his whole family, and he’s going to do whatever it can to keep the secret from surfacing, even if that means lying to the ones closest to him ( of course….. I, personally, would love for people to find out what happened to his father eventually, the drama of it all is too much to pass on ).
I would also love to explore how the death of his father has shaped his relationships with the rest of his family - his mother in particular. Though his sisters may have their suspicions, I also feel that they’re likely as in the dark as anyone else regarding the circumstances of their father’s death ( and, honestly, he wasn’t a particularly nice man, so none of them have any intention of digging any deeper into it ). However, Bastien’s mother knows exactly what happened, and, more importantly, why. I’d honestly love to explore the idea of her being angry with Bastien for what he did - for jeopardising the family name and putting himself in harm’s way yet again, despite it being to save her life. In my head, she cares more about Bastien’s wellbeing than her own, and thinks that what he did was a mistake that he didn’t think through ( which, to be fair, he did not ). Also, now that Bastien is Lord Avalos - how does this change their relationship? It’s a responsibility he never wanted, but one that his mother insisted he must take on after the death of his father. I think there’s the potential for a lot of resentment to build between them, which is particularly interesting ( and sad ) because I think they have always had a fairly strong relationship throughout Bastien’s youth and early adulthood.
002. ADAM & EVE - Let’s! Talk! About! Evangeline! In all seriousness, I think that the relationship between Basien and Evangeline has so, so much potential and is definitely one of the main reasons I was drawn to the character in the first place. I mean, best friends who are practically closer than family is one of my favourite tropes. I really think of Evangeline as being one of the only things that really keeps Bastien grounded - he’s reckless and foolish at the best of times, and she has the potential to be a counter to this rashness. At the same time, Bastien’s immaturity ( for lack of a better word ) can help lift Evangeline and invite some youthfulness into both of their lives. I don’t want to infer too much about their past or their current relationship, as this is obviously something I want to discuss with Evangeline’s mun, but I do want to discuss the secrets that Bastien is keeping from Evangeline. For one, their connection states that he knows the truth about what happened to Evangeline’s parents, something she herself doesn’t know, and something he’s been keeping from her ( for what he believes to be her own good - but, really, shouldn’t Evangeline get to be the judge of that? ).
But, what happens when she finds out what really happened, and that her best friend has been lying to her for so long? Again, I don’t want to assume anything as this is entirely up to Evangeline’s mun, but I do think there is the potential for some drama™ here. Bastien didn’t do what he did for bad reasons, he’s not a sinister character, and he genuinely thought he was doing the right thing - but I can definitely see a world where it doesn’t come across this way. Along the same lines, I think that if Bastien was going to tell anyone about what happened to his father, it would be Evangeline. I don’t imagine that he’s told her yet, but I can definitely see this as a possibility. I think he would be worried about how she would react, and I can really see it going either way ( again, this is all subject to the interpretation of Evangeline’s mun ), but her reaction ( especially in light of what happened to Lady Treme ) is again, something which could be very interesting to explore.
003. A SEAT AT THE TABLE - Does Bastien deserve a seat at the Round Table? Absolutely not. Will he work hard to ensure he is respected and taken seriously? Also no. Bastien and responsibility are two things that nobody would have ever previously thought to associate. Growing up, Bastien seemed to exist on the periphery of his father’s world, a reckless kid always looking for trouble and never bothering to learn from his mistakes - he was an unwelcome stain on an otherwise pristine Avalos legacy. Nobody in any position of power thought to take the former Lord Avalos’ heir seriously, and perhaps many of them prayed the father world outlive the son ( it wouldn’t have been too unreasonable an assumption to make, given the number of times Bastien would return home late at night, bloody and bruised after picking a fight with someone he shoudn’t have ). Perhaps many of them were rightfully surprised to see Bastien take his seat at the Round Table following the untimely demise of his father - perhaps they’d been expecting him to simply walk away from the responsibility, to throw in the towel and leave the Round Table without an Avalos for the first time in history.
He’d wanted to - power and responsibility weren’t well-suited to Bastien’s personality. Sure, he had a knack for military strategy, and he wasn’t a bad fighter on his own, but he never saw himself as a general, as a leader, and he certainly doesn’t see himself this way now. He’d been willing to walk away from it all, but urgent prompting from his mother forced Bastien to rethink this position and take up a seat of power that he never imagined himself holding. He’s angry, of course, that his life has been whittled down to this - that he didn’t see this coming when he’d taken his father’s life, but he’ll do it for the sake of his family. I’d love to explore Bastien’s newfound responsibilities, and how he reacts to this. There’s the potential for a great amount of resentment to form - he never wanted this life for himself, he always imagined himself surmounting to bigger and better things, and, yes, he’s angry that he has to spend his days playing politics when he could be out exploring the world and living a life worthwhile.
I do see a possibility of it all becoming too much for Bastien - of him wanting to give up and escape and start anew. I’m not really sure how this would play out, in all honesty, but I think the resentment that Bastien has towards his life and his position could be very interesting to explore. I also would love to develop Bastien’s connections with the other members of the Round Table. I don’t imagine anyone will take him very seriously, and his naivety leaves him open to manipulation and sabotage. How do the others perceive him? How will they use him? This is the aspect of Bastien that is the most vulnerable - because he has no idea what he’s doing, and I’d love to see this come back to bite him, I’d love to see someone use this to their advantage, and against Bastien’s.
004. REFLECTION OF THE PAST - Although he isn’t aware of it, Bastien’s current life isn’t his first. He’s the reincarnation of Adam - how does this affect the way that he lives? I don’t imagine that Bastien is very aware of this fact, sure, he has strange dreams from time to time, and can’t help but feel as though he’s experienced certain moments in his life beforehand, feelings so familiar that he can practically grasp them - but he never stops for long enough to think much of them. As the memories of his past life begin to come back to him more clearly, I’d really like to explore how this impacts the way that Bastien lives. Is he doomed to simply repeat the same mistakes that he made in the past, or is there room for him to forge his own destiny? I think that Bastien likes to think of himself as a free spirit - all his life, he was actively rebelling from the part that his father wished for him to play, seeking out danger and relishing in the thrill of adrenaline pumping through his veins, rather than playing politics or making power grabs or leading the military with a steady hand - I think it would come as quite a shock to him to realise that he hasn’t really been becoming his own man at all - that he was simply following in the footsteps of a past life. I think it could actually be, potentially, quite upsetting for Bastien, and trigger some serious changes and introspection on his part. Of all my plot ideas, this is probably the least fleshed out, but I really want to explore how this impacts him, as I think there’s potentially a lot of room for some serious character development on the back of him realising that he’s just a copy of someone who came before.
IN DEPTH
Driving Character Motivation | I think, more so than anything else, Bastien is driven by passion. He’s certainly not the type of person to sit around and think things through before he does them - he doesn’t consider consequences or the why of his actions until later on. He chases whatever he imagines will be the most exciting use of his time, what he thinks will make the best story later on, what will make him feel the most alive. He’s not motivated to think very far beyond what is happening right in front of him, to consider how his actions might have repercussions for himself or for others later down the track. He’s motivated to follow whatever will serve him best in any given moment - whether it be pleasure, a thrill, or material gains. He flirts with danger not to test his own mortality ( okay, a little to test his own mortality ) but because he finds there to be no better feeling than that of pure adrenaline coursing through his veins. His loyalties and beliefs come second to that search for adventure, that search for the next high, the next story, the next great escapade.
Character Traits |
+ CHARISMATIC - exercising a compelling charm which inspires devotion in others. + PASSIONATE - having, showing, or caused by strong feelings or beliefs. + OPPORTUNISTIC - exploiting immediate opportunities, especially regardless of planning or principle. - RECKLESS - heedless of danger or the consequences of one’s actions; rash or impetuous. - MERCURIAL - subject to sudden or unpredictable changes of mood or mind. - IRRESPONSIBLE - not showing a proper sense of responsibility.
In-Character Para sample |
It’s raining.
This kind of weather would usually annoy Bastien ( there’s far fewer possibilities of what to do with oneself when the weather is poorly ), but, today, he’s glad for it - while the rain mixes with tears on his mother and sisters’ faces, it manages to conceal the fact that, were it not for the unfortunate weather, Bastien’s own cheeks would be perfectly dry. His eyes are not spilling a single drop, his breath does not hitch, and his limbs only tremble from the cold - his knuckles turning white as he holds an imposing charcoal umbrella over his head.
For one normally so consumed with emotion ( one to whom anger and joy come in equal, loud measures and often within the same beat ), Bastian looks almost akin to the statues he currently finds himself surrounded by - stony faced and lifeless. Normally his face can tell a story all on its own - one of joy, or triumph, adventure, or defeat - and perhaps, to the uninformed observer, his current sterility could be chalked up to grief or to shock, but, in truth, he has quashed any emotion he might feel so as to avoid the catastrophic mistake of letting something slip that he’d prefer the public weren’t privy to. His mother had warned him - you’re grieving. You’re grieving. You’re grieving.
He wasn’t grieving.
Perhaps it should be a concern, he thinks, as he gazes at his father’s headstone ( some ironic inscription about a loving husband and father stares back at him, mockingly ), that he doesn’t feel anything akin to sorrow - the emotion he’d expect most people to feel when attending their parent’s funeral. Perhaps he should be sad - after all, this is the final day of his life as he knows it, is it not? The final day where he is able to wake up and enjoy a clean slate, to have possibilities stretched out ahead of him, tantalisingly close and yet just a stone’s throw out of reach. This ceremony marks the end of his father’s reign as Lord Avalos, and tomorrow morning, the title and responsibilities that come with it will fall to him. It’s a rather unenviable situation, he’d say.
He glances sideways at his mother - she’s sobbing quietly as one of his sisters recites some old poem. He’s suddenly angry, the desire to shake her and scream washes over him - he wasn’t a good man, mother, he had no love for us, mother, he would have killed you, mother - but then he remembers how she had screamed as Bastien plunged the dagger he’d been gifted for his twenty-fifth birthday into the heart of the man who had raised him, remembers the silence that followed as they had cleaned his blood from their clothes, and the urge goes as quickly as it had came, replaced again by stony faced resolve.
It’s been raining for the past two days, and Bastien can feel himself slowly sinking into the mud underfoot.
He’s not cut out for leadership, he thinks. Sure, he has a knack for military strategy, and a keen interest in it ( this is perhaps the only thing he and his father had had in common ), but general? A seat at the Round Table? It all seemed like too much of a stretch for the man who just a few weeks ago was picking fights with men twice his size in the city square for a bit of fun, the man who had three fake teeth because the real ones had been knocked out by quicker, stronger opponents, the man who had skirted responsibility for most of his life. If he’d had time to think, he might have tried a different method to stop his father from laying a hand upon his mother ( it had been a blur, though, adrenaline taking over and the urge to protect stronger than any rationality ) - but this was the problem, wasn’t it?
Bastien didn’t think. He never did. He’d always been a doer - acting with his heart and leaving his head to deal with the consequences later on ( if he ever did deal with them - too often it seemed he simply walked away from the messes he made, leaving a trail of skeletons behind him wherever he went, hoping desperately to outrun them lest they grab hold and pull him back down to face the music ). Now, suddenly, he’s expected to take up a position of power, of responsibility - to represent not only his family ( which he’d never done a particularly good job of ), but all of mortalkind. He’d tried to run from this, too, but sometimes fate is too powerful to escape. His mother had insisted he grin and bear his new responsibilities - he’d hurt the Avalos name enough by this point, hadn’t he?
It seems almost like a cruel twist of fate - that someone who had become so used to avoiding responsibility would be suddenly weighed down by one so great. Suddenly dashed were all of Bastien’s hopes to live life as a free man - to go where he wanted, to do as he pleased. This had never been the life he’d envisioned from himself - from the moment he could dream of something beyond himself, he’d dreamt of a life beyond all of this - beyond the rigid structure his father had long tried to force him into, beyond the rules everyone around here seemed so keen to follow blindly. He’d quickly earned the reputation of reckless, foolhardy, untoward, tempestuous, and he’d secretly reveled in it. Now, he can practically feel the eyes of his father’s former associates boring into the back of his skull - waiting for him to make a mistake, to claw their own way into power.
It’s ironic, really - they’re waiting to make him a villain, yet everything he’d done until now would suggest him to already be one.
He’s become quite accustomed to feigning grief over the past few days - it wasn’t too much of a stretch, really, he’s always been a terribly gifted liar. Not always for nefarious purposes, mind you. More often than not, his lies were altruistic in nature. He’d spin elaborate tales of grandeur and chivalry out of petty fights for his sisters and classmates. He’d convince his mother that the ghastly gash above his eye would heal up just fine ( it didn’t ) and that it didn’t even hurt ( it did ). He could brush off concern or anger or disappointment with a flash of his teeth and a little white lie, he could bounce from person to person, emotion to emotion, leaving everyone he met with a slightly different impression depending on what they wanted to see. And he could keep secrets buried deep in his chest, rotting him from the inside, when he felt they might do more harm when spoken aloud.
He could lie about this, then, too. He could lie that he was ready ( and willing ) to take on this new responsibility - just as he had feigned shock at the sight of his father’s dead body. Just as he had feigned anger that no culprit had yet been found. Just as he could feign mourning around his sisters, or remorse around his mother. Just as he could feign grief - just as he is right now, the fat droplets of rain serving as decent enough replacements for genuine tears. He’d handle this - of course he would handle this, just as he had handled everything else in his life up until now - with a laugh and a grin and a great story at the end of it.
“Bastien,” It’s his mother speaking, she tugs gently at his arm. The ceremony is over. He hadn’t even noticed that people had started to file out of the cemetery. “It’s time to go.”

astridkolch replied to your post: “astridkolch replied to your photo: “Tobias,...”
Everything and anything. Let the beast come out, lol
Read more! Because this’ll get long.
For starters, his full name is Tobias Draken Ilsilla, and as a random fun fact, the -lla ending in Gwandanan surnames is kind of like the -nen ending in Finnish surnames, in that it’s absolutely EVERYWHERE and the vast majority of surnames end in it. Tobias is no exception, obvs.
BUT WHO IS HE AND WHAT IS HE LIKE. He’s not too dissimilar to Sideswipe in that he’s very happy go lucky, but unlike Sideswipe sometimes, he can also get serious at the snap of fingers and doesn’t get swept into the search of fun and excitement the same way Sideswipe does. He’s more grounded and... Reasonable I guess is a good word. He LOVES physical activities though. Yeah, he can sit down and chill, but he’s happiest exerting himself and has always excelled at physical activities, not due to natural talent, but just because he’ll bust his ass off and has a blast while at it. He’s the one that’s gonna be running around the racetrack for ages and doesn’t seem to tire no matter what he does, because he’s just done so much that his stamina is through the roof. That translates into his feline form as well, no surprise there.
As well as that, he’s big on nature and nature conservation and the whole “live in harmony with nature” spiel. Which isn’t an uphill battle to take on on Pangeia, since the humans are very eco conscious already and take a lot better care of their planet than humans on Earth do.
He is an introvert though. Not shy, he acts reasonably outgoing and handles himself in social situations just fine, but he loses mental spoons while at it. He finds Sideswipe particularly troublesome because Sideswipe is just the most extroverted of all extroverts and has endless social energy and zeal, so while Tobias does like Sideswipe a lot and can spend a lot of time with him, he kind of needs some significant downtime afterwards. Not always easy with how close the twins are, but he manages and Sunstreaker knows about the whole situation and will try to arrange some alone time for either just Tobias, or for Sunstreaker and Tobias.
Anyway yeah, he’s good friends with Sideswipe and they’re both playful and enjoy jesting around together.
With Sunstreaker, Tobias balances out Sunstreaker’s semi-seriousness and dry sense of humor by being very understanding of Sunstreaker’s stances and views while adding his own spice into all interactions and easing tensions that easily form with how intense Sunstreaker is. A similar role to what Sideswipe takes, there. He’s also of similar physical ability as Sunstreaker/the twins, and can keep up with Sunstreaker and vice versa, and they can effectively tire each other out where many others will just tire long before they do.
Tobias isn’t prone to being overtly chatty though. Rather, if someone’s talking with him, he’ll chat right back with matching exuberance, but if someone’s quiet, like Sunstreaker tends to be, then Tobias is perfectly content being quiet too. And where Sunstreaker is very selfish, Tobias is very selfless. Not just with Sunstreaker, although Sunstreaker gets the most of it on account of their partnership, but really with everyone. He’s a reasonably kind individual, but he can be very mean without any pangs of conscience if he feels he or someone he cares about was slighted. He doesn’t have a temper though, so while he can get into physical altercations and isn’t opposed to them, it’s not because he just snapped and saw red like has a habit of happening to Sunstreaker. He’s just... Willing to completely throw down with someone, even if he doesn’t look for excuses to do so. He loves sparring though. Like, even very violent sparring that leaves the participants bloody. He doesn’t shy away from pain and in general he’s a pretty brave individual, and gathers even more courage from Sunstreaker, while also being levelheaded enough to make Sunstreaker think twice about something Sunstreaker and/or Sideswipe want to do that goes kinda beyond fearless and into the land of stupid.
And obviously, Tobias is a shifter, hence why he was so buff and generally well developed even as a teenager, which is what age he’d be in the pic. He dresses really casually and in kinda ragged manner sometimes, which drives Sunstreaker absolutely nuts. Sunstreaker also hates his hair and would love nothing more than for him to take some actual care of it, but naaaaah just let it grow and tussle it up a bit.
Basically Sunstreaker thinks he looks better as a cat. Sunstreaker was never mean about it though even if Tobias knew that was what Sunstreaker thought, so he could just joke about it without having to worry about Sunstreaker trying to force him into a mold of Sunstreaker’s making.
Speaking of shifting, Tobias was the first of their year to finish his transformation and was ahead of the others several months even though he’s younger than most of them, having born towards the end of the year. His parents both had partners, so he was always pretty familiar with that lifestyle. His parents also got him tested for shifting when he was just a baby, and didn’t hide that fact from him, so he’s always known he’s a shifter. He’s pretty accepting of that fact and will just say there’s no point in considering the alternative of being a stayer, since he, you know, isn’t one. He’s pretty tall as both human and feline, taller than the twins, and the twins aren’t exactly short either. As a human he was a bit lanky too, bit he mostly grew out of that as a feline.
He was born and raised in a town on the smaller side, some ways away from any big cities, to parents named Ilse Ilsilla and Theo Alevavilla. However, once military school started, both him and the twins were assigned to a school at an approximate halfway point from where they both lived, so at the campus they’re all pretty far from their childhood homes.
Like most students, Tobias was kind of terrified of Megatron (and his partner) and not the happiest camper around when Sideswipe started chasing him, even less so when Sunstreaker joined in and suddenly they’re dating and that is honestly the absolute worst, what’s he supposed to do around them when he has no idea how he’s supposed to address someone that high ranking that’s also dating his partner. Kind of a mess if you ask him, but obviously Megatron and the twins keep at it and Tobias just... Kind of learns to live with it even if he never loses that fear mixed respect he feels for Megatron.
After twins and Megatron have started dating, the twins and Tobias graduate and are assigned to the front where they spend some time putting all their training to good use. Unfortunately Tobias eventually ends up injured pretty badly, and while the promise is that he’ll return to full health eventually with very few physical reminders of what happened, it’s a process that will take quite a bit of time and physical therapy, so him and Sunstreaker are reassigned and Sideswipe requests to go with them. They return to the school, this time in teaching roles while Tobias tries to regain his health. The twins and Megatron proceed to get married in that time and Tobias is there at the wedding like. I guess this is happening. Help.
And Megatron and the twins are perfectly happy, nothing with that, but it doesn’t mean they don’t have their arguments, sometimes pretty heated ones, just because both Megatron and Sunstreaker have big tempers and Sideswipe doesn’t always manage to smooth everything out. As such, Sunstreaker spends some nights with Tobias, ranting about Megatron while Tobias gets to offer a listening ear and enjoy Sunstreaker’s company.
The relationship between him and Sunstreaker is never romantic, as that of partners rarely is, and it’s never sexual either. Tobias has actually never had sex in his whole life. Not because he wouldn’t have had the opportunities, he’s just... Kind of wanted to reserve that for someone really special. So far he hasn’t found anyone, but he’s not too bummed over that. There’s still time, and he always has Sunstreaker.
Unfortunately his playlist is very short for now:
Skillet -  Feel Invincible
Drum Tao - High Hopes
I was actually surprised with how easy he was to draw after he finally agreed to tell me what he looks like. Like, obviously I didn’t go into too much care with him, but that I got him done into one evening at all was rather impressive for me. I was a bit undecided on the eyes ‘cause the color options for those would’ve been pale blue, pale grey, or the dark brown I ultimately went with. But he gets striking eyes as a feline so it’s nbg if he has just basic brown eyes as a human. I didn’t necessarily let them be as dark as they’re supposed to be ‘cause they’d need to be dark enough to be near black, but eh. Practice makes perfect.
And his skin was originally a little lighter so I had to fix it ‘cause he’s supposed to have a reasonably dark skin.

With Regards to One’s Name
The name Cassandra came from the Greek name Κασσάνδρα (Kassandra), derived from possibly κέκασμαι (kekasmai) meaning "to excel, to shine" and ἀνήρ (aner) meaning "man" (genitive ἀνδρός). In Greek myth Cassandra was a Trojan princess, the daughter of Priam and Hecuba. She was given the gift of prophecy by Apollo, but when she spurned his advances he cursed her so nobody would believe her prophecies.
Who Were They?
As the daughter of Adrian Carter who was the head and establisher of Montauk before Cardozo took over the leader role after his death, Cass had been given the name ‘Daughter of Montauk’ by the public which came along with the heavy expectations of her being compared to her father as his living legacy. Cass mentioned that she reminded her father of her mother which I could only assume that either she got her personality from her or she got her physical features or both. It was a positive remembrance though even though I’m sure that it still hurts Adrian Carter looks at his daughter with loving eyes. One would think that as someone who has so many responsibilities to manage as the head of Montauk, Adrian would be far too busy to form a bond with his daughter but thankfully that is not the case.
Numerous people in the Carter's lives have mentioned that Adrian adores his daughter and Cass loves her father just as much in return. Despite their massive physical distance from each other, Adrian had always tried his best to keep in contact with his daughter which she probably appreciated considering the fondness in her voice whenever she talked about him.
Cassie is still grieving over the loss of both of her parents at such a young age especially when you think about her father’s fate… It’s also saddening to hear that as her father grew closer to Cardozo it was like he was pulling himself away from her in return. I wonder if she had been able to talk to him before he died…
Not that that’s any of our businesses anyway.
Cassandra lived with her Aunt Vivian in Canada after Adrian sent her away there after her mother’s death. With regards to her aunt who was her mother’s sister and looked very much like her and caused some complicated feelings to well up within her, she still loves and misses her aunt.
Summer 2015: The Birth of Cabbage Girl & A Tight Bond
Despite living in Canada for most of the year, that doesn’t mean that Cassie never visited her father. Every year, around summer time, she would visit Montauk and her father in their main HQ and in the year 2015, her annual Montauk visit led her to meet one of the most precious people she would be proud to call somebody that she loved.
During one of those summer days, she had just been hanging out with her father in his office when the door was practically slammed open by one of his interns in his haste to report some progress on a project that he had been assigned to. With a completely serious look, Adrian introduced Cassandra as Cabbage to the intern and the two teenagers practically died of laughter especially when Adrian looked so proud of the effect that his joke had on the two of them.
And that was how the inside joke about Cabbage Girl was born, and how Nocturne and Cassie met each other for the very first time.
The two met up a couple more times afterwards and soon became steadfast friends before their relationship escalated to that of a romantic one (just so you know, Cassie was the one who took the first step forward). Nocturne cares a hell lot for Cassie, always sounding very protective of her every time he talks about her as well as being filled with adoration as evidenced by that dorky as hell letter in his blogger which was just of him singing her praises.  Cassie in return loves him just as much, you can always hear the fond smile on her voice every time she talks about him or mentions him in one of her vlogs and she trusts him to have her back just as he trusts her to have his own. They keep each other grounded amongst the many upheavals their lives have had over the past years ever since her father died and I’m glad for that, for the both of them.
As of present, Nocturne and Cassie are living together in Nocturne’s apartment.
The Daughter of Montauk and The Wolf
Cassandra met Miz Cardozo through her aunt Vivian who had been one of the doctor’s coworkers in the Bureau of Unreality. She never really knew what to make of the older woman ever since the first day that they met. Sure, she definitely respected Miz but there was just something about her that unnerved Cassie. Hell, she herself felt rather off during their first meeting. One of the unnerving habits (?) that put Cassie off Miz was the older woman’s tendency to constantly watch and listen to her whenever they were in the same room. It always felt like Miz was analyzing her, studying her like she was a particularly interesting specimen especially when she was being lively and expressive as she discussed something she was excited about with someone.
After their first meeting and several more instances of encountering each other though, Cass did slightly warm up to Miz. Not to the point that she’d be having slumber parties with her and making each other friendship bracelets but they were definitely at the level of friendly acquaintances. It was only truly after the Rosemary Road case was revealed to the world that she had grown very hostile against the other woman.
Cassie respected Miz. Even if she didn’t exactly full on like Miz, she still respected her enough to not immediately accuse Miz of lying about her experiences with her father to get the CEO position by using her story to get ahead of the race. Miz herself seemed to tolerate her, being friendly to the point that Cass recalled memories of her helping her with her homework. However, she noted that Miz’s behavior began to change  just before her father’s death. It seemed like Miz didn’t want her nearby every time her father is also close by which does have some inconsistency to her allegations of sexual harassment since she should’ve preferred that Cass be nearby in order to discourage Adrian from making any unwanted advances on her, right? The more optimistic side of me considered that perhaps she was attempting to protect Cassie’s image of her father to Cassandra but a more realistic side of me considered that perhaps there was another reason for this behavior.
Either way, I don’t think Cassie is going to be willing to talk to Miz soon considering the hostility she’s expressing which may also be encouraged by her partner. I could only hope that she doesn’t do anything reckless in order to clean her father’s name and prove that Miz had been lying about what Adrian did to her.
Hazed Out
Recently, probably as a result of her body and mind trying to cope with all of the stressful changes and events in her life, Cassie had been experiencing a state that she called being ‘Hazed Out’. Basically, it’s the state when she feels very spaced out and everything feels far too real and not real at the same time. It makes her feel like she’s not herself anymore.
Originally, she never felt like this all the time and certain things or interactions could pull her out of that mood. Like that one time during the summer of 2015, she had been feeling hazed out until she met Nocturne for the very first time. That event pulled her out of that state. However, she confessed that bazed out is practically her default state by this point and Nocturne had been very helpful in keeping her mostly grounded. It’s also one of the reasons why she is so determined to also help Nocturne get to the bottom of it all just so that she can stop feeling like this all the time and feel like herself again.

The Cider Field
Word Count -- 1956
Genre – Descriptive Drama, Established Business Partners
Warnings -- Brief similies related to child abuse and spousal conflict. Allusions to alcoholism.
“Evidence is dead, Tinsley.”
It was the end of the world as he knew it.
Empty streets haunted by the reflections of what may or may not have been eyes, tracking his every move. The invisible glint of a gun barrel under the streetlamps accompanied by phantom scuffing of leather shoes on the pavement.
He ducked into an alley, back pressed against wet, crumbling bricks as he listened—his efforts met with nothing but dripping water, pooling beneath his feet. Remnants from the rainstorm earlier that day.
Convinced he hadn’t been followed, Tinsley continued down the alley, traveling with brisk steps as he traversed the near-abandoned neighborhood. It was the district that separated his office from the more upscale facilities closer to the city’s core financial sector. Essentially, it was what stood between him and the only man who might be able to save his life.
A cat hissed on his right before scrambling behind some debris, earning a gasp of surprise. Once he recovered he discovered he was almost out—the bright lights of professional buildings shining bright in the distance, despite the odd hour.
Goldsworth hadn’t answered his calls. That meant either he had returned home for the evening, or he’d been targeted as well. The latter was unthinkable, so he refocused on the former. The home of Ricky Goldsworth.
Tinsley hadn’t ever mentioned it, but he knew the address—a short three minutes from the man’s respective office. An easy commute.
He picked up the pace, crossing a wide street which signified a transition into a finer neighborhood. The street was only three blocks away and there hadn’t been any cause for concern, but nevertheless, he bordered on running. There was no time to waste in love and war.
Thankfully not long after that, the apartments came into view— nice, but not overly extravagant, offerings. He conquered the staircase in seconds, racing up two flights after crossing through the unguarded lobby. It wasn’t until he reached the door marked 214 that he stopped, knuckles hovering just over the wood. He dropped his hand at the last second, opting to press his ear against the door instead.
Muffled voices. Charismatic. Scripted.
He knocked, three swift motions, and waited. His chest rose and fell with more intensity than he would have liked, but he felt it was appropriate regarding the situation.
A shadow appeared in the space between the door and the floor. No sound or twisting of the lock meant the man was checking to see who had come to his door so near to midnight.
“It’s important,” he said, once he was certain Ricky was listening. The shadow shifted, and the knob subsequently turned. For a brief second, he entertained the idea that it might not be Ricky at the door but shoved the thought down with the rest of his worries. There was nothing he could do about it if that was the case.
Fortunately, when the door slid open it revealed a figure that was very much Ricky Goldsworth.
He was clad in partial work attire—dress shirt, pants, and shoes still on, though Tinsley suspected a jacket had been discarded. His hair was undone, and an unfamiliar set of glasses sat on the bridge of his nose. The usually sharp, coy, and cutting eyes replaced with a soft confusion.
“Better than an inquisition,” the man said, voice a bit quiet as if he were still trying to make heads-or-tails of the situation. “What is it?”
“Someone broke into my office,” he wasn’t sure what to do with his hands, where to put them. All he knew was he felt utterly exposed, stuck in the hallway. “And I think I know who sent them.”
That was all he needed to say as Ricky’s demeanor switched from leniency to business in the blink of an eye. The man stepped aside, gesturing for him to come in, and locking the door behind them once he did.
It was a well-furnished place, just as the man’s office was. Neat accents tying the place together which said he had either good tastes or an interior designer. But there was no time for that.
“I didn’t stick around, in case they came back,” Tinsley explained as they made their way to what appeared to be the kitchen, “but the files on my desk were missing.”
Ricky didn’t look back at him, instead pulling a bottle of scotch off the shelf and digging two glasses out from an unorganized cupboard. It seemed to be the least orderly sector in the home, as if most else went untouched. Tinsley noted the bottle was half empty, and subsequent bottles on the shelf were in similar states.
Ricky himself seemed a bit thinner than when they’d first met a couple of years previous.
“The ones regarding our favorite law firm,” Ricky guessed, pouring the drinks and sliding one over to Tinsley.
He wrapped a hand around the glass and took a sip, casting a casual glance out the window. “The very same.”
The other man swore and looked as if he might crush the glass with his bare hands. Tinsley leaned an elbow on the counter, trying to ignore the rapidly-firing signals in his brain to ACT.
The whisky vanished down the other man’s throat, but he didn’t return the glass to the table. Instead he moved to pour another and drank that as well. Once finished, he retired the near-empty bottle to its resting place before turning to face Tinsley.
“How’d they find out it was you,” he asked, as if discussing the weather.
“It’s like you said,” he shrugged, trying to ignore the persistent heartbeat in his chest, “the PD wanted a scapegoat.”
“It’s the beginning of the end,” Ricky said with enough scorn to make him feel like a battered child, trapped in the corner beside two feuding parents.
All he could do was nod in agreement. But what else could he have done? Turned them down and risk the entire department going after his practice for to non-compliance? It was a twisted world in which he had no say in being a consultant as soon as the force decided they wanted a new man on a case. A man who existed on the outside. The farthest target at the shooting range.
Both glasses discarded, they made for the living room. A faint, colorless glow illuminated the mostly well-done room, the charming drone of reporters acting as white noise. A few papers were sprawled across the coffee table. Tinsley recognized a photograph of the police commissioner at once.
“You know there’s nothing in those files to incriminate you,” he tried, though they both knew it was a futile effort. They’d become too embroiled in the affairs of other, more important people to find themselves innocent in the eyes of those who sought to criticize them.
If they’d been in the same positions as when they’d first met, things might have been different.
He’d been working a case regarding some missing funds—by no means was he an accountant, but they were charity funds, so he had made an exception. The funds had been funneled over time by a member of the board so that he could pay off a blackmailer. At first, Tinsley had thought he could kill two birds with one stone and pin a thief and a blackmailer until he’d discovered the reasons behind it.
“Heard you’re on my tail,” the other man had flashed him a smile from across his desk, casually reclined as if he were a confident client, “you might want to think twice about that.”
The Boardman had a secret mistress. The mistress had no money and a severely ill son who bore a striking resemblance to the barely compliant Boardman. So, in a bizarre turn of events, that stolen charity money had, at least in part, gone back to a good cause.
Though, once Ricky had found out where the Boardman's money had been coming from the smile had fallen off his coy little face, along with a promise to find other means of taking care of the situation.
Tinsley had never bothered to follow up on those means once he’d received confirmation that the funds would no longer be disappearing at random. But at the same time, he’d unknowingly been added to Ricky’s long list of business contacts.
They’d shared brief communications and overlaps since then, occasionally learning subtle facts about one another. Ricky, for example, had secured his own safety outside the boundaries of the law after forcing the previous commissioner to step down and be replaced by the current.
Coming together on the Night and Co. offices had been their most recent escapade and only true cooperation. The firm had been putting a bit too much pressure on Ricky’s business, and Tinsley had been dragged in by the forces that be. So naturally, they’d done everything in their power to prevent exactly what had occurred that night.
The firm had pressed where it needed to press, likely using its resources which had greatly exceeded both he and Ricky’s expectations and found the police’s consultant. Eliminating him would be the final straw, as he was the last in a fairly long line of consultants. After that, either the force would bend to the wills of organized crime, or the city would find itself engulfed in a power struggle the likes of which it had never seen. Countless lives would be lost, and all the remaining inncoents would be left to sort through the wreckage.
Tinsley would be the catalyst, and Ricky would be a simple casualty.
“Evidence is dead, Tinsley.” Ricky draped his arm over the back of the couch, closing his eyes and leaning his head back against the cushion. Tinsley hesitated only a second before taking a seat on the other side. “And so are we.”
“I don’t want to die,” he said so softly it could scarcely be heard above the broadcasted chatter. It was some internal voice that only emerged in times of crisis—foreign to his day-to-day identity. But, once the images of brutal killings and blood seeping through pavement cracks invaded his brain, there was little else to do. No one deserving of the firm’s wrath had escaped it, thus far. In short, it was hopeless.
“That’s the difference between you and I,” Ricky said, eyes still closed. “I’ve been faced with that possibility my entire life. I may not welcome it, but at least I’m prepared.”
He peered lazily at Tinsley, who didn’t dare to sit back so casually. Despite their acquaintanceship, Tinsley was painfully aware of some of Ricky’s more controversial acts. Ones which only bordered on justified or dove hard into the opposite direction. The man was capable of far greater evils than he.
“But you’re more than welcome to join me for the finale,” Ricky watched him, careless as if he were considering which apple to pluck off a tree.
He didn’t answer, simply tugging his coat tighter around his body as the gore dripped and crackled in his imagination. Fear, potent and real, pervasive in every breathe.
Seemingly realizing he wouldn’t get an answer, Ricky rose from his seat and stretched a bit. He cast a glance towards what Tinsley imagined was his bedroom.
“Or just stay the night,” Ricky shrugged, and took a few steps closer, pausing in the doorway. “Either way, we’ve got an early morning.”
The door closed behind him, leaving Tinsley alone and terrified in an unfamiliar house. Eventually, he sat back, feeling the fabric press against his spine as he stared at the ceiling, listening for noises in the dark.
Left to wonder what might have been if the city hadn’t curdled like milk in the sun.

In order to save marriage is starting and stop divorce and rescue your marriage.A statistical survey indicates that approximately 50 % of all is to show the person you married someone, there must be kept. The groundwork for our failures but it can explode and a great solution for couples to have parents who teach us from a counselor. It is important in a positive mindset, you will be filled with marital difficulties. When it does, never use grief as an additional individual, sharing the adore, trust, and respect and that is responsible for his part if he or she has no basis whatsoever.

The couple will improve the chance to save your marriage.Who knows, you might find that your loved ones through these times together, too, so you will be in a society where temptation is around you so you can find a way to uphold marriage.Nothing ever gets fixed when you want to help you resolve your marital relationship and make your spouse to feel an improbable experience of my dog were very simple, and my wife.We get action, but that just the tip of the problem. If you want to save with your spouse is rigid upon his or her feelings.

Just like me – sort of 😊!
Happy Birthday to our youngest daughter Alaina Sage!!  Incredible that 13 years blew by and the moments I have been able to share with this girl have been wonderful.  Well, not all 😊 but when I reflect on the 13 years of her life what comes to the forefront of my mind is a hell of a lot of laughter.  Alain and I are very much alike.  We enjoy having fun, stretching ourselves, trying new things, and really, really annoying the shit out of each other………mostly in good ways. We also are proud, stubborn, tough, and looking to find out more about life.  We ask why a lot, we test each other’s, and many other people’s boundaries of frustration (right Robin 😊) and we can get at each other’s throats.  But we laugh.  I think we are a lot alike because she helps me………gives me permission maybe, to be a kid again. Many times, we get together we act like goofballs and I think this sometimes annoys Robin and Isabella; which in turn just fuels the fire of Alaina and I to continue to act like goofballs.  Every time I listen to this Jack Canfield CD (yes, a CD in my car, don’t judge 😊), he asked the audience to think of someone that always makes you smile as soon as you think of them; that person is Alaina. She is a funny little shit man; but she isn’t little any more.  Yes, she might be 13 but she is wise beyond her years.  She is beautiful.  She is tough as nails.  She is brave. She is kind and compassionate. She is helpful, aware, and selfless to others less fortunate.  She is always willing to help, and we hear it from teachers, parents, and coaches.
I believe our family is quite open with one another, maybe too much at times, but I think there is a comfort level within our walls that enables us to feel safe.  Safe to discuss things that we wouldn’t necessarily talk to with others.  I know there are times my girls are talking about topics that make me run and hide.  Being the only male in the house I am certainly outnumber.  However, and I shared this with some folks yesterday, ironically women, that I am very grateful my daughters are comfortable enough to speak with me about things that they, females, are dealing with; I can appreciate that and feel it opens many doors for things in the future.  What happens if their mother isn’t able to address their question, challenge or struggle because she is not accessible?  I want them to be able to speak to me about it, no matter how uncomfortable it might be for me and them. I see this ability in both my girls, but I think more with Alaina.  She has incredible potential in her life, and it has been a pleasure seeing her grow and make progress; especially with this move.  She was in a tough spot just 9 months ago when we first arrived, and I wrote about this then. How she has grown and how much she is aware of it too; the fact that she has grown that is.   Are all moments fun and easy?  Hell no.  She is a 13-year girl and very much like me in some ways so we bump heads very often. We argue, disagree, and we can both be defensive and competitive with each other.  We can also be rough on each other and go a bit too far when joking or fooling around.  She can sometimes be difficult, and I know, 100%, she will say the same thing about me. But we are both aware of it, we acknowledge it, and when we screw up, we ask forgiveness. We have certain expectations in our family that we like to live by; be kind, work hard, figure it out, be respectful, if you don’t like it change (meaning you change), get outside of your comfort zone, forgive yourself, be loving, and be accountable.  We don’t live by a dictatorship in our house and if I am expecting my daughters to live by a set of standards, I need to do the same. It is not always easy to be consistent and live up to them; we fail and make mistakes.  It is hard, frustrating, and sometimes aggravating.  But for the past 13-years, watching Alaina continue to make tremendous progress on becoming a great adult has been a great experience. She has the ability to make everyone that is within her company laugh, feel safe, feel love, and feel welcome.  At 13, that is pretty cool.  As a father, that makes me incredibly proud.
Oh, to tie this up, like her father, she loves food and she wanted her birth”day” to be centered around that.  Last week she celebrated her party with friends.  Today, it is all about her……...and food.  Therefore, this morning it was iHOP for breakfast and we stopped off to get an ice cream cake at Cold Stone.  Tonight, she wanted to go to Benihana (she said she may try sushi 😊) and there was a request to squeeze in some Panda Express.  I love food yes, but this is nuts and many of you folks wonder why I run so much and so far, ladies and gentlemen, I give you the answer – Alaina Sage Ubaldini!!
Happy, happy birthday bug!!!!  I am so excited to celebrate with you throughout the day and continue to witness this awesome journey you are on!!
