known fact but Eli is an odd-jobber, by this point there are kind of little industries he hasn't worked for. He just tends to be hired for a determined period of time but never grows roots anywhere, he does what he's told to do but doesn't go beyond, he's not rude but he can come off as such so most employer don't rehire him after. Somehow since he doesn't have a problem taking any jobs it usually doesn't take him long to find something else.

at some point he adopts a stray kitten mostly because Viorel found how it tried to attack him cute and got attached to it. The little shit does grow less aggressive towards him but it never stops chewing on his fingers and toes. He IS the kind of cat owner who lets it go out though, the little guy never really stops being wild but he enjoys a good cuddle.

the only furniture he owns is a shitty old couch he might as well have pulled from the sidewalk. After he takes the stray in, stuff for it joins the lonely couch. Ironically enough the cat has more furniture than him. Viorel is also always negging him to get more stuff for his flat.

this extreme frugality/lack of care for his comfort totally stems from childhood trauma :) luckily he has spent a fair share of time at Viorel's parents where he ate well and slept in a real bed for a change, but it does happen a little less frequently now that they're adults. They still share the same bed when they do tho.

after the whole Abel incident where Viorel admitted himself again to the psych ward and told Eli he never wanted to see him again, Eli actually went to Viorel's parents because he was so lost. The fact they insisted he stays for a bit is probably the only reason he hasn't killed himself during this period. He never tells Viorel about this even after they make up.

His comfort food is fries. He doesn't have any preference on thin vs thick cut though, he just wants the salty potato comfort.
