Caleb x Reader

"COMING BACK"

MC always returned after fighting wanderers to the same routine, Zayne, Xavier and Rafayel tried their best to cheer you up but that moment but it only lasted for a while

Fighting going home, Fighting going home, you returned to your apartment/House you remember Caleb buying it for you, so you'd live near when coming back from your missions

You always lay on your bed, crying yourself to sleep, hugging what was left from him, his hoodie and his necklace around your neck, his hoodie losing his scent, you dozed off immediately

After some time, you feel your bed, someone is sitting next to you, and a strand of hair is moved from your forehead, your eyes widened only to see your eyes playing a trick on you

Caleb smiling towards you. "Did you miss me, Pip-squeak?"

You immediately sit up, grabbing his face as tears start streaming down her face "This can't be real, You're dead"

Caleb took down her hands from his face and grabbed one of your hands and nudged his face into it, and looked at you. "Does it look like a dream?"

MC shook her head it must be a dream, normally she'd loose sleep, Zayne pointed it out, she needed sleep otherwise hallucinations would come

Caleb chuckled as he choked on some tears then stroking her cheek. "I'm back"

MC didn't believe it she looked at him to head to toes as she hugged him tightly as she was losing him in that moment "I should've been there, i should've stayed, I should've listened, i could've become a florist or something else, i should've been home, i should've protected you, you and Gran wouldn't be..." as she bursted crying loudly

Caleb grabbed MC head and patted her back "I'm not leaving you, it's complicated but i can try explaining-"

MC immediately thought she'd wake up from this dream so pushed him as she wiped away her tears as she fiddled with her fingers she had already calm down no point in losing time

She stroked Caleb's cheek and smiled "You know, I always regretted how I didn't confess on time" you started recalling memories "I remember being afraid and embarrassed of people on college knowing i hadn't had my first kiss and on the day we had our first kiss under the cherry blossom, if i had said yes to that and not to being a hunter, we would be somewhere else.."

Caleb looked at MC as he grabbed her hand and stroked her

MC continued, "Or when we had a fight, and Grandma kicked us out till we got along, you took me for ice cream, and I'll never forget the way you kissed me" as her hand moved towards Caleb's lip "We promised to keep it a secret because you were going away, and well i started being a hunter, how do i regret it, not telling you that I've always loved you"

Caleb muttered your name but you weren't listening you listened somewords, as he was confessing to you practically

MC stroked gently Caleb's lips "This is a dream which I'll wake up" as she placed a kiss on Caleb's lips

Caleb's eyes widened as he looked at you and placed his hand on her back as he slowly separated from the kiss as MC looked him tearfully "Why are you still here?"

Caleb wiped away her tears "Maybe because you're not dreaming"

MC eyes widened as she touched all over your body to see if what she was seeing was right as she asked, "How?! When?!"

Caleb chuckled as he stroked the side of her face/head. "It's a long story, but" he looked down at your lips and stroked them. "Did you really mean that when you?" As he was trying to meet you at your eyes, since you were embarrassed

MC gulped "I'm sorry, I got carried away and I-"

As Caleb grabbed MC's chin, "Because I feel the same way, the question is, Will you let me in?"

MC turned red and nodded as Caleb chuckled and placed a kiss on her forehead, then a soft kiss on her cheek, MC took her necklace off as she placed it around Caleb's neck, as Caleb grabbed her hand and placed it on his chest "Can you feel my heartbeat?" His heartbeat was racing fast

MC chuckled as she smiled "It's good to have you back"

Caleb smiled back as he titled his head towards her "I love you" as he placed a gentle kiss on her lips

MC wrapped her arms around Caleb's neck and laughed as she fell back with Caleb on top of her as they both looked at each other as they were in a uncomfortable position

Caleb nudge his nose against her and kissed her once again as MC moved her hand holding his cheek, it was a soft gentle kiss, what she always wished for

Caleb grabbed her waist and deepened his kiss MC eyes widened but she didn't mind, she hungered for him as he hungered for her as they both huffed

Caleb pressed a soft final kiss and kissed her hand "I'm not gonna go any further, until I put a ring on this finger, do you want me to explain?"

MC rubbed her eyes "No...i want to sleep, can we sleep together? You can tell me about it in the morning"

Caleb smiled as he picked MC up and placed her on the left side of the bed and layed down next to her as he placed a blanket on top of them and snuggled with her

MC hugged him tightly "Please don't leave again"

Caleb held her tightly "I won't, I'm not leaving your side ever again "

Bonus

MC wakes up in a gasped as she looked around all the room for Caleb

As Caleb walks in the room with a tray with breakfast as he smiles "I didn't want to wake you up"

MC smiled as Caleb sat in front of her "Thank you"

Caleb placed a kiss on her forehead "Anything for You Pip-squeak "

MC chuckled

Caleb smirk "Tho I gotta find you a new nickname, How does hmm, babe sound? Honey, Darling, My little Mermaid he grabbed her hand and smiled
