🐍 Peruvian inspiration ✨ This work is the first street art work of the two Russian artists @anna.arti & @medvedica_art for @louresartepublica. This wall is actually inspired by their own lives as they have experienced few months ago an incredible journey in Peru making an artistic residency into the jungle. This is a Peruvian girl surrounded with birds, snakes, végétal & patterns from there. Look at all the details they have added: they played with wood by adding some wooden wings to the birds & to some other pieces to give more depth. They gave more relief to some parts of the painting by adding some texture on it. They have experienced painting with spraycans. They worked hard & late to realize it but they can be proud of it! I am sure this will not be their sole street work... this is just a beginning...! I am proud that one of my clothes even inspired Maria for a part of the wall! ▫️Guido Palmadessa ▫️ @louresartepublica is a concentration of talents you can not figure out! Great people from all over the world. I had the chance to meet @guidopalmadessa a very cool artist from Argentina and spend a little time with him. I asked Guido if this beautiful girl was inspired from a picture of a local girl. It is not the case but it matchs perfectly to the environment with this corner and this look staring as the sky as a message of hope. Guido was already inspired by this girl as he painted a canvas called « La noche en el dia » if you have a look at his website. Nevertheless there was a local inspiration for this painting in Quinta Do Mocho. Could you guess what? ✋ The hand!!! Actually Guido used the hand of the lovely artist @cuore_carofavale as a template for this mural! 🌹 Grupo Opni 🌹 Impressive work in progress realized by the Brazilian collective @grupoopni for @louresartepublica. It took them less than a week to realize all the details of this wall. Grupo Opni represented here a favela like the ones you can find in Brazil & there are 2 messages behind this mural: On one hand, they first want to highlight the fact that there is corruption, violence, murders and poverty in the country. For example they have painted 2 angels with a Brazilian soccer t-shirt & wings: one is a tribute to Mariella a politician woman who has been recently murdered after denouncing police abuses of authority against residents of needy communities. The other angel is M.Vinicius a young boy who has been recently killed at the age of 14... Opni’s work can be considered as a fight against the Brazilian system. On the other hand they want to pass a message about hope and emphasize the beauty of their country particularly with a tribute to Brazilian women (black beauties). You can also find some red carnations as a tribute to Portugal & the Carnation revolution (25 April 1974) which overthrew the authoritarian regime of the Estado Novo. And many other details to observe! ✨ Magic ✨ This morning I have spent a magical moment watching @bust_the_drip painting for @louresartepublica. This artist is quite recent in the game as he started to paint from the last past 5 years. But he is unique. Indeed he is a very good artist in another domain as well as he is a hip hop dancer for so many years. A passion for him, he even teaches. Painting came naturally to him and finally it is quite as a continuity as the characters he paints are always in movement. Look in detail at any of his works: the characters are moving like if they were dancing. Indeed this painting particularly is inspired by a pic he took from 2 of his friends & students he taught them dance since they were children. Tribute to dance, tribute to music, tribute to hip hop & friendship with this mural called Liberdade - Freedom in English. And stunning gift he made to @roman.aldrx & me by making a performance to celebrate this incredible wall.
