Sea, I want to thank you. The band isn't very well known in my country, and when I first listened to those songs of theirs when I was younger I was immediately attracted by Louis' voice, but I didn't get to know him better. I've wondered why walls was released so late, but I haven't really thought about why either. I listened to walls then but thought it was a bit similar to the band's style (which I didn't really like) and I didn't really read the lyrics at the time so again I missed the opportunity to get to know him better. It wasn't until this year due to Liam's death (which I'm sorry for) that I was very shocked and then I thought of Louis, I was surprised to find out that he released a second album that was so different from the style of walls that I fell in love with almost all of the songs on the first listen; the progression of him was incredible to me, then I bought the album and read the lyrics and was amazed at the sincerity and emotionality of his lyrics. So I managed to find reviews or compliments about the album and was confused there weren't many. I wondered why exactly and by chance I came across your post. I spent about a week or so reading your collection of good louis posts and I was shocked. It made me sad to see all of it, but I'm very glad I was able to delve into a lot of things. The road I've seen has been so winding and full of obstacles, but Louis has always been honest with himself, and I love that so much. Now I'm kind of obsessed with Louis and all you lovely warm solo Louies haha. So I want to thank you for being so active, funny and level-headed, and without your posts I think I'd be missing out on all of this. In short I want to thank you deeply. (I hope I can convey exactly what I mean, I'm not confident in my English level so I used a translator.)

Thank you for the compliments and very kind sentiments. I’m glad you gave Louis’ music another chance, and really, really glad that you had the patience to know him a little more as a person!

Louis has had such a long career journey, but most of the general public probably think he’s been sitting on his hands doing nothing. Marketing and PR are the weakest part of his team. We Louies don’t really know why, but the blacklisting against Louis (since late 2017) has effectively kept him out of the public (and critical) consciousness. Unlike his efforts with LT, Simon Jones is able to work effectively with Niall Horan and Perrie Edwards as a publicist.

Still, as Fitzgerald said, we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Hope is a fragile yet vital thing. Louis’ music has given me courage to hope for something better, in him and in my personal life. I’ll always be grateful for this gift.
