🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)?

Now this is an interesting question! To tell you the truth I haven't thought about it that much, because Kepler's story hasn't really been ABOUT romance! His platonic bonds have always been what drives him and his focus is more on bettering himself as a person and building up his confidence so that he can defiantly insist that he deserves to take up space! Not to mention...well, if he'd had a little more time then MAYBE he would have considered a romantic partner in the future. Definitely no canon characters that I can THINK of at least, though I briefly talked about shipping him with an oc of my buddy Dae @adoredbyalatus in an au where he lives!

It's very likely that he's somewhere on the ace spectrum and biromantic with a heavy preference for guys!

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

Well, the REASON he was created was just because my best friend and I were discussing the possibility of Brea having a padawan, and it just kind of snowballed from there! Some character inspirations for him are Ben Pincus from Camp Cretaceous (who is also his voiceclaim!) somewhat Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet, and Louis/Cornelius Robinson from Meet the Robinsons!

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

OUGH is just like? Everything an answer? I know it's kind of a cop-out but I really do love everything about that kid. I guess my FAVORITE favorite would have to be his sassy side tho! I've thought about how if he were canon it'd be easy for fandom to mischaracterize/flanderize him by making him a quiet anxious boy all the time. He IS anxious, but he's also SARCASTIC and mostly just kind of tired of everything 😂😂😂 I think it makes him feel more three dimensional!

MASTERLIST the audition chapter! : It's A New Life

All of the judges are sorting out all of the eliminated boys to see if they want to pick and choose which ones they would like to possibly keep. Nicole loves the way the five boys look together on their individual cards, reminding the other two judges how little girls are going to go crazy over them. But the longer she stares at the five cards lined up, the more confident she feels about her next suggestion.

“Where is the pile of the girl group we just did?”

“We’re looking at the boys right now, Nicole. We’ve already done the girls.” Simon says in a monotone voice as he continues to go through a stack of cards in his hands.

“Humor me, Simon. Come on, I just wanna see something.” With a sigh, he reluctantly hands the pile in the corner to her and she eagerly flicks through them until she sees the one she wants. Once she puts YN’s head-shot card down with the rest of the boys, Simon instantly shakes his head.

“No, no. Absolutely not.” He hands Nicole the card back only for her to put it down again.

“Yes! Look at how good they all look together. She’s gonna make the group sound even better. Her audition was one of the best ones we’ve seen.”

“She’s going to be in the center and take away all the attention. And there's gonna be too many people in one group.” Simon tries to reason.

“She balances them all out. She’s perfect for the group. Just give it a chance, Simon.”

“You’re gonna ruin what would have been a good boy band and I won’t stand for it.”

After some more back and forth (and with Simon having the final say) he makes sure to leave YN’s card with her previous girl group.

“I didn’t have to go through this.” YN wipes her pink nose with the end of her sleeve with a stubborn shake of her head. Her and Louis were just eliminated from Bootcamp and they’ve both come to each other for comfort. But now, just like she was before her audition, she’s mad at her childhood best friend for making her come on the show. “I never wanted this and now I got hurt for nothing. Got all my hopes up for nothing.”

Already being kicked while he’s down would only further twist the knife in his heart by her hurtful words, but after knowing her for as long as he has, he doesn’t take it as personal as most would. He saw the hope in her eyes he had when he told her about getting her an audition despite her sour attitude. He saw the way she lit up on stage and saw how it was the start of her bright future. But now he sees the light starting to flicker and he hopes it doesn’t go out by her not ever wanting to pursue music again.

“Guess my dad was right.” YN takes in a shaky breath before biting her lip to stop herself from letting out a sob.

So even while he’s crying himself, Louis brings his best friend to his chest as she cries into his collarbones. 

Harry looks away from the sight of YN in Louis’s arms from across the room and wipes away his tears with his bulky, black beanie. He has half the mind to go over there and comfort her himself but he’s too sensitive right now to even stop himself from keeping it together.

“Alright, if we can have all the eliminated boys come over here please!” A backstage crew member announces. “All eliminated girls, if you can head over to the east wing, there should be someone waiting for you there as well.”

YN and Louis eventually pull away from each other with a shrug of their shoulders before heading to where they were called. Harry catches her gaze for a second and even when she’s been crying, her tantalizing eyes still manage to take his breath away.

She wipes her cheeks with her sleeve before bringing her head down and going to the other side of the backstage area. She sees a bunch of girls with red puffy eyes like hers and a couple of them who are trying to touch-up each other’s make-up. If YN had the energy, she would roll her eyes at the sight.

She stands in the back of the crowd with her arms crossed as she just wants to get this over with and go home. After four names are called, she looks up to see all of the girls turning back to look at her. She gives them a furrow of her eyebrows and opens her mouth to (rudely) ask what’s their problem until the backstage crew member beckons her with a curl of his fingers.

“YN LN, they’ve called you up as well, hon.”

Her eyebrows raise up and she slowly makes her way through the sea of nasty glares before joining the other fourth girls. She’s seen them around before, they’re an already established friend group since their audition and YN has already labeled them as prissy and stuck up from how they act. While they all have their hands clasped together, YN keeps her arms crossed over her torso as they make their way up to the main stage.

Her confusion only rises further when she sees her best friend, Harry, and a few other boys in a line on the stage as well. She returns their small wave before facing forwards.

“Hello, thank you so much for coming back.” Nicole starts off before covering the microphone with one hand and leans over to the judge on her left. “Take the chance, Simon.” He looks out to the two groups in front of him and lets out a deep sigh.

“S’your funeral.”

“YN LN? Sweety, if you would, can you please stand over with those gentlemen over there.” YN looks over the girl group one last time before making her way over to the next group. The boys all give her a gentle smile and a small nod of their head, all of which she returns. She goes to stand in between Louis and Zayn and she immediately feels a sense of comfort when they wrap their arms around her back and the tops of her shoulders.

“Oh look, see.” Nicole whispers excitedly. “They all look so good together.” After saying how too talented they are to let go, she tells the contestants, “We think it’d be a great idea to have two separate groups.”

She hands off the microphone to Simon to make the big announcement. “We’ve decided to put you both back in.” And that immediately makes everyone scream and yell in excitement.

Louis and YN immediately wrap their arms around each other, tears nowhere to be seen. Aside from the big relief he’s been given from staying on the show, he’s even more ecstatic about seeing the light in her not flickering anymore, but burning stronger and brighter than ever. 

While everyone goes to hug one another, too caught up in excitement, YN literally jumps into Harry’s arms. He quickly brings a hand down to tug her legs around his waist more securely before giving them both a spin. 

When she’s let back down, YN gives him a smile and he swears that he can see the small blush rising to her cheeks as she realizes what she just did. But he doesn’t see it for very long as the Irish lad engulfs him in a hug.

The two groups go down the backstage steps, everyone chatting excitedly and officially introducing one another. Huddled together in a group, Harry puts a hand up to stop everyone. “Woah, woah, woah. Guys I just thought of something super important.”

The newly made band members all wait with wide eyes and eager raised eyebrows. 

“What are we all gonna wear?”

Also we have a brain stealing serial killer, an immortal teenager, a japanese nerd, two brothers, who are a little bit too close maybe, triplets, a not very bright mind-reading cop, a hot scientist, an electric girl, and Horn Rimmed Glasses aka Noah, whose glasses are actually not horn rimmed at all. Also we end with a cliffhangar, on which the pretty horrible follow-up series is built on, but we tend to ignore that most of the time.

The 10-episode fantasy adventure series takes place many years before the events of the groundbreaking 1982 fan favorite, and is realized using classic puppetry with cutting edge visual effects created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop and Brian Froud, the original feature’s conceptual designer! Yep, you read that correctly. Old school puppetry. No CGI!

Thursday 7 6 1/2 12 fine frosty morning hard frost last night - Fahrenheit 48º at 6 1/2 and 37º at 7 3/4 outside my window the sun just come out and falling on it - Charles H- [Howarth] in the library by 7 3/4 - wonderful to be so early - out at 7 3/4 or rather with Charles H- [Howarth] and then breakfast at 8 5/.. in about 1/2 hour and then out with John planting out the brooms we got yesterday (above 50) in the embankment or slope of the walk opposite the calf croft - then he went to the acorn setting on the Godley embankment and I brought Pickels down to him at 10 and left Nathaniel to go to the man in the Conery wood turning up the sod in Trenches for acorn setting, and left 1 man trenching the top corner of the Wheatfield -

At 12 went and called on old Mr. Wilkinson not at home sat his wife - then sauntered up the old Northowram road to Quarry house, and then down Mr. Norris's new approach road to the site of his is-to-be-built hall and thence to Mr. Wilson’s steam engine for getting coals - down by Belvidere, looked well over the 4 Mitholm-far-fields - they seem to belong to nobody - fit only for snipes and woodcocks, a bed of rushes - starved to death with water - worth as Pickels says 10/. to 15/. a days work tho' a good land as George R-'s [Robinson] or as any about) - then home by Lower brea and my walk at 3 - James H- [Howarth] but not his father here - some time with James - then with John [and] Pickels setting acorns, and sauntering about the fields till 6 1/2 - dinner at 6 50/.. -
