My problem with Lore Olympus (spoilers 235)
So, author seriously convinces me that the first time of same Eros and Psyche was shown on the edge of beauty and sensuality, and the first time of the main fucking characters wasn't any shown at all?
I have re-read the comic several times from the very beginning, and within the first 30-40 chapters what we had? Hades literally after the first day of the familiarity joked about fast bang in his kitchen, Persephone received a terrible intimate experience in the first arcs, the same Eros and Psyche storyline, Aphrodite with a huge hint of quick sex with Zeus, the first chapter literally opens with Minthe wearing the lingeries only. The beginning of the story yells that this could become an excellent title from the category of Stjepan Sejic's comics (except not with such a graphic ero scenes), but Rachel gone to a censorship webtoon and this began to break everything. Author tried to get everything together through the disclosure of not only body, but also soul attachment, and it even worked perfectly... until the trial arc ended, and with it our characters also have ended. I understand the author is trying to show us same Persephone’s final growing up, but 10-year-old timeskip destroyed the entire arc of growing up. If in the first two seasons I saw how Persephone learned to accept and recognize her feelings in front of herself and others, including her over-over-overprotective mother (and this ends with a heartbreaking scene, where Persephone doesn't have time to tell only Hades she loves him), then her sudden transformation in the end into such a 30-year-old horny one looks like a literal character substitution.
And this replaced Persephone, the main character, is enough for me to subconsciously reject any plot twists - as tries to show more of the plot, or closing any plot holes either.
Guys, I'm not LO hater at all and I love and respect the story. But still, I vote for the fact that the entire third season is a bad draft that should be deleted and rewritten.

Zeus lied
Okay so I've been thinking about this since reading chapter 235. So a motivation for Demeter not wanting her daughter near other men is because of what Zeus did. Her animosity towards Hades also seems to be coming from a much more personal space than originally anticipated.
So most of you probably have read Lore Olympus or you wouldn't be here now. But lets just summarize for the heck of it.
Demeter sleeps with Zeus thinking he'll make her Queen. Only later on she finds out through Hestia that Zeus is marrying Hera. When confronted, Zeus says it was Hades who convinced him.
Except that Zeus is certainly lying.
And no this doesn't mean I think Hades is this innocent little fluffball who would never hurt anyone. But there are several reasons I think Zeus is lying.
That look is sus
This could just be me but the way Zeus is drawn makes him look like someone caught doing something wrong and is trying to think of something to say.
2. Zeus claims Hades says Demeter doesn't have what it takes to be Queen.
First, where would Hades get the idea that Demeter would be a bad Queen? Demeter, from what we see, is a good Queen. So what would make Hades say this? Also I'm pretty sure there is a scene where when Hades is considering choosing a future wife he briefly thinks about Demeter, although I forget which chapter this is from.
3. Hades was in love with Hera
Enough said. Why would he want his crush to marry his brother?
4.
Sorry, but when was the last time Zeus listened to Hades!?
Also Hade's face says "leave me the fuck out of your mess"
Alright, I have said my piece.

Lore Olympus 235 reaction
So this was revealed:
So......... if I understand correctly.... all these:
All that happened because Zeus couldn't keep it in his pants............AGAIN?
Or, to be more precise, Zeus used how Demeter and Hades are pretty much opposites and argued about most of things so they strongly dislike each other, so Demeter would believe that lie and also make them enemies for eternity and make Demeter always believe the worst of him?
Also that explains why Zeus used Demeter's place to hide all the nymphs he slept with, because he exploited what she used to feel for him to make her comply.
Is this a reference how the source myth the blame was all on Zeus since he was the one who authorized/ordered Persephone's kidnapping and marriage?

Lore Olympus Episode 235 Spoilers
Oh god, why did they have to slap me in the face with Hades' foot fetish, I legit did not need to see that.
Persie gets over having left behind her mother and all her friends in the Mortal Realm pretty quickly. Shouldn't be surprised at this point, Hades' dick has been the only thing she cares about for quite a while now.
The way RS wrote in this hokey-ass exchange just to have a 'gotcha' against readers who pointed out that Persephone was pretty much emotionally manipulated into saying 'yes' to the wedding.
"If I did not want to marry you, we wouldn't be sitting here."
Girl, he literally took advantage of your feelings of inadequacy, groomed you when you were still his employee and underage and then kept pressuring you about marriage when you made it clear you weren't ready yet. And then he used your conflict with your mother to pop the question, who are you trying to fool?
More Demeter-bashing, marvelous.
Zeus and Hades can both choke, they're objectively awful people and Demeter deserves better than having to continually put up with their bullshit.
Side note: Screw Hestia, woman was legit about to keep the fact that Zeus was a cheating d-bag from Demeter if Demeter hadn't pressured her to spill.
"I want you to know that I resent being dragged into this drama."
How exactly is looking out for and warning your sister away from a bad partner 'drama'??? Do you care about anyone but yourself, you flaky, spineless lemon????

Lore Olympus Ep. 235
I read the new chapter this weekend and I have some thoughts about Demeter's flashback.
Let's talk about the fact that before Zeus and Demeter had sex, Zeus told Demeter that he was going to make her Queen of the Gods, not Hera. I 100% believe that he only told Demeter that so she would have sex with him.
To me, there is no other reason for him to tell her that. He's always found Demeter attractive. He's been objectifying her since the day they met.
Exhibit A:
Exhibit B would be that one flashback episode, you know the one where Zeus burns down Demeter's crops because she wouldn't hide one of his lovers, where Zeus is staring directly at Demeter's cleavage.
Also, I'm calling bullshit on the whole "Hades said that Demeter would not be a good fit for Queen of the Gods" story Zeus pulled out of his ass. Mostly because I don't think that is something Hades, at the point of Demeter's flashback, would say. And also because at this point Hades is not in the mental position to make a judgement on anyone's ruling eligibility.
I saw a comment on Webtoon that said that this flashback takes place after Zeus told Hades that he would have to keep Kronos in the Underworld for the rest of eternity, and I'm inclined to agree because, look,
To me, these are the faces of someone who has just been told that their abuser will have to live with them for the rest of their life.
I 100% believe that Zeus only told Demeter that Hades doesn't think she would be a good fit for Queen of the Gods to save his own ass. Because, let's be honest, if Hades really did say that Zeus would not have listened. By now, we all should know that Zeus does what he wants regardless of what anyone else thinks. No one else's opinion matters but his own.
If he really wanted Demeter to be Queen of the Gods, he would have made her Queen of the Gods. No matter what anyone else thought.
Really, he wanted Hera to be the Queen of the Gods. Partly because Hades wanted her, but this isn't the post for that discussion.
So, yeah. That's my thoughts on that.

Lore Olympus 235 thoughts…
Oh boy do I have thoughts on this episode. First things first. Although I love the wedding and thought it was really beautiful, I think the wedding time is rushed. The whole foot thing was a bit odd too idk if anyone caught that. Now. Onto my big thoughts with Demeter and Zeus. Zeus is an asshole more and more throughout these flashbacks. I really hope he gets some type of redemption in the present but like. What he did with Demeter is terrible and then knowing he’s manipulating the situation because Hera and Hades may have liked each other is just making it worse. I feel like something bad is coming with Demeter or Hera( well worse than what we’ve gotten)). Zeus blaming Hades really is a low blow as well with Demeter. I feel like Demeter was done better in Punderworld as much as I try not to compare the two.
#this meme is basically how he is with women#that’s why people who get mad at hera for being with hades I’m like yeah nah#lore Olympus#he did her mom and sister like ew
