In the churning of the ocean, the first poison named Maholvan Halahal came out. Due to the fierce flame of that terrible poison, the creatures of the three worlds started crying. The danger of imminent death appeared on everyone's life. The Demigods and the demons started praying to lord Shiva. Bharga Rudra placed the halahal poison in the conch on his palm and drank it and the halahal poison became blue in the neck of Rudra . This fifth form of Lord Rudra is called Bharga Rudra because of his self-sacrifice for the welfare of the whole for the benefit of others.
